This place was a perfect tiny Italian joint. It was the best meatball I've ever had
Awesome food! We had the shrimp fettuccine with bacon and pesto/ chicken pasta. Both excellent. Was super busy with a line most of the evening waiting to get in, so that should tell ya something. Gotta knock off one star on service because we waited around 15 minutes after we were seated to even get water or acknowledged. Food took awhile, but hey..super busy Also minus one star for the loud music. Such a nice place for dinner, hate to have it overshadowed by the speaker blaring by the door. Turn it down a couple clicks so you can enjoy each other's company... Minor stuff... awesome food. Owner was super nice. Definitely a redo.
The lovely couple who run this place are originally from Rome! The food was fantastic. Note: the caprese salad does not come with fresh basil, but instead dried herb basil. The eggplant parmesan does not come out hot or even warm - in fact, the center of ours had still-yet-to-defrost icy parts, so be aware it is intended to be a refreshing cold summer dish, not out-of-the-oven hot as Americans may be used to. The seafood spaghetti was wonderful.
Came across this little nice and cozy place, just few step away from 5.avd. The Italian food was autentic and tasted amazing. A nice little gem. 1300pesos. For antipasti, pasta, tiramisu a bottle of wine and water. For 2 adults😃

Stumbled across Roma Spaghetti and can easily say this is my favourite restaurant in Playa. Lucy, the owner, is very hospitable and warm and made us feel so welcome. We both got the seafood pasta and it was absolutely to die for. Highly recommend checking them out!
As an Italian, growing up around Nonnas cooking I can promise you this place is the REAL deal. Lucy is a sweetheart and treated us like royalty. We will be back!
It's quaint and definitely homemade Italian food! The two nights I dined there were exceptionally busy; my Valentine's birthday dinner and the second time they were hosting a rousing game of music trivia. I won 2nd prize! They were so very busy and had to turn people away. It's very clearly a popular place and I hope to go again soon.

Very small quaint restaurant with big flavor! The Bruschetta, Caprese salad and the Pasta con Gamberetti (garlic shrimp) were wonderful. Lucy and Nicholas took great care of us.
Best meal Ive had in months. Every ingredient has a garden fresh taste. The pasta is all handmade. The atmosphere takes you to Italy in moments and the staff are 100% Italian. The portion sizes are perfect and the prices are incredible.
Really enjoyed dinner here. Small, funky and quiet. Perfect for my partner and I. Bruchetta appy was outstanding. We shared spaghetti and meatballs and a chicken Ceasar salad. Chicken was a touch dry on the salad but dressing and greens were fantastic and spaghetti and meatballs were top shelf. One of our favorite meals from a month in playa del carmen. Oh ya, with 4 beers, 800 pesos including a good tip.
Nice spot to enjoy delicious dpaghetti with meatballs and carbonara. All the other dishes we saw being served also looked absolutely delicious. Complimentary bruchestta to start was very tasty as well. I believe we were served by one of the owners and he was friendly and fast. We will definitely return!
This is a real little gem we found near our apartment! Very good prices for such a tasty food. The owners are very attentive and they definitely know what real Italian food is ❤️ We felt very welcome there and enjoyed our evening so much! Definitely recommend, it’s just couples minutes from overpriced 5th av. restaurants. Also, ask them for a wine, its seems not to be on the menu, but they have amazing Merlot 🍷
Great little find! Very authentic Italian cuisine. The eggplant made it worth the trip alone. You must try the chocolate cake for dessert, you will not be disappointed. The Italian owner’s greet you and welcome you into their cozy little slice of heaven! We will be back soon!

Simple pasta alfredo, so's was so's thick that at the time brought to the table was almost dry and hard to eat it. Too bad. Good reasonable prices but execution of the dishes very poor.. I would not go back.
We went for music bingo and was forced to buy a meal. Also paid for music bingo with no charity to be found on where it was going.
Terrible place and atmosphere. They blare music at a level that makes it almost impossible to think or enjoy one’s dinner. Maybe if they had the music at a respectable level it would be an enjoyable place. But this kind of tone def establishment needs to either change or go out of business. Italian dinning has nothing to do with loud music. Another gimmick themed restaurant.
I usually like this place but had a takeaway putanesca and the sauce was quite rich, heavy and dirty compared to usual and made me think it was a repurposed bolognese sauce from days ago. They tried to make up for this by adding an abundance of olives (which was not a good idea). Oh, and there was a lovely strand of long hair sitting on top of the pasta when I opened it. It was so obvious, it was almost like they placed it there on purpose just to insult me.
