I'm confused by the lack of recent reviews.. i went here the other night because they were open til 11:45pm which is awesome cus i clock out at 11.. went with a safe order, some zhangzhou rice n a couple chx skewers.. this place is the real deal whoevers reading this, you can safely ignore the old shitty reviews. The food was just insanely good.. not a particularly complicated dish but its one of those.. anyone can do this but few have mastered it* 100% worth it to try this place out. Happy new year everyone ^_^,!,,!

This BBQ was so fresh and SPICY just the way We love it. We had Quail, wings, sausages, Shrimps, Kidney, Gizzard, name it. We had fun here really. I am Nigerian and We have BBQ beef, chicken, quail etc We refer to as 'Suya' and boy I have missed it. This was the nearest thing to Suya I have had in 5years.

However, the food was kinda cold when it got to my table. A definitely must try and these shops are rare in this area. Aside from skewers, they have other tasty dishes, drinks and deserts. If you want to, you can do dinner there. For me spending like $32 includes tax is good enough if you don't want to over eat. They open happy hours 4:30pm to midnight. Perfect for after work snack or hang out place with snacks.

After a 3 hours hike at Mt. Diablo in walnut creek, my friends and I decided to come here for some Chinese Barbecue Skewers. There were six of us and wee couldn't finish the food and pack some of the food. The food quality was very good. The meat was very well marinated. I really like humin and the species they sprinkle on the food. I like the charcoal grill taste from barbecue. I highly recommend you try the lamb skewer and beef skewers. Also, if you like organs, chicken heart and pig intestines are very good too. For side dishes, I also really like the grill eggplant and cold dish - shredded potatoes. If you feel like some rice and noodle, their sour and spicy noodle are very good, but very spicy. Beside the food, the service was decent for a typical Chinese restaurant. The services was fast and efficient. Of course, don't expect a Michelin star service. The price was reasonable. We ordered too much, so we end up with $75 person (include tips). I think a $35-50 person should be a fair a average price.

Their corn, pork, beef, and enoki mushroom wrapped with bacon are great. We order more than 200 for 6 people, and we are far from finishing it, which suggests the serving is good. Recommend to try this place.

I spent 5yrs in Shanghai Hong Kong and surrounding areas. The food here tastes exactly like the traditional recipes. The food is so well balanced and wonderfully not Americanized. Absolutely wonderful.

Food is delicious but size is small. So it’s a bit expensive cuz I need to order a lot. If you just want to try and don’t expect to feel full, this is a very good place.

This place is so relaxing, the food is great and the service is good too. This is my 2nd time to visit, definitely will come back again!

Great chinese BBQ restaurant, this is the bbq that you expect to eat in china. The price is reasonable, and the taste is great. Love their yangzhou fried rice.

The price for quantity was very reasonable and the flavoring is very good. Definitely recommend the beef skewers! Only thing I’d recommend is a grill where you can cook it yourself so that the food is hot.

I like the casual feel and the variety of skewers available. My favorites were the beef, lamb, and sweet potato! Their chili oil is a great addition to the skewers as well.

I appreciate that this restaurant is open late. Our waitress was very helpful and kind. The food was freshly made and was well seasoned. My only complaint was that a lot of the food tasted similarly because of the spices used. I would have liked more variety. The sour and spicy noodle soup was very good, it reminded me of a dish a friend used to make for me. The grilled meats were also nice.

Food was so coated in cayanne it was dusty. They put the stems of cilantro in one dish instead of grilled onions. The squid was the most rubbery squid I have ever had.

Ordered online for pick-up. Woman working was rude, ignored us and seemed to cater to only those who spoke the same language as her. We still had to wait an extra 25 minutes from our promise time. We ordered $70 worth of skewers. All the food was individually wrapped in foil so you couldn’t tell what item was what and the woman asked us, “Does your order look correct?”. No way we can tell unless we open every single item. We ended up with missing items (2x Pork Belly) so, we called the restaurant and the same woman answered stating that she couldn’t help us and we would have to call back tomorrow. Not so great customer service so far. Now to the food, every item was coated in the same marinade, so eventually everything just started to taste the same. Half of our skewers were dry and tough and some of the meat tasted old. Maybe it was a bad night? I just won’t be returning.

BBQ skewers are expensive. I went there with my friend. They didn’t fill our cups with water when we were dining at the restaurant, or offer to provide bowls when we were having the spicy soup, until I asked them. Then when I checked out they were surprised and blamed me for not tipping them. I said I am a student and don’t have income. They said I better order their takeouts next time. Poor service didn’t deserve any tips.

Warning this place will not let you go until you pay 15 percent tip, be warned. I can't believe they stopped my Daughter she wanted to treat us for a nice dinner and told her she has to pay 15 percent tip no matter what. I told my daughter what happened? your card didn't go thru? no Dad the lady told me I have to tip her 15 percent, how much did you tip her, Dad I was going to give a 10 dollar tip, but she insisted for me to tip 15 dollars. I told her that's aggressive tipping. be warned people.

When the food arrived most the items was burnt I mean awful. The waitress keep bringing us two items at a time after 1hour and 30mins to get our BBQ items. We went to get a burger after I will never go back again.
