Opinions de Paris Baguette Pleasant Hill
My friends and I went here on a Sunday morning to taste out some of their pastries, and have a cute little Convo. On our way there, I was surprised that I was quickly able to find parking, and relatively close to the front door. I want to say we arrive somewhere around 11:20 AM. we all got around 8 to 10 pastries, this range in a total of about $30 for us each. Myself and one other friend also got a drink. I would say getting the drinks were the most difficult part of our ordering. For those who don’t know, at this restaurant, you are able to pick up the pastries from display cases in the restaurant. There is a tray, What I think is wax paper, and tongs for you to use. There are multiple pastries available, and I would say that your best way of knowing what pastries are going to be there is simply to go in. My friend remark that there was a specific pastry she was interested in trying, I want to say it was a raspberry croissant, and the guy who helped her check out, informed us that they have never had a raspberry croissant. There are sometimes just items on the website that are not at all participating locations. Totally understandable and fine, as all of the pastries were still absolutely delicious. Another interesting thing that I did not expect is that though multiple people got in line behind us, I would say the line total including us was about 20 to 25 people, we were quickly able to find a table that seated the four of us. The restaurant was of course loud, the material of the building is quite echoey, and there are a lot of people walking around, enjoying their day and eating. But we were still somewhat able to hear ourselves as well as the staff in the front of which one woman was calling out names for people who ordered drinks. As a previously stated, getting her drinks, might’ve been the hardest thing, but this was to no fault of the restaurant. I think they just had so many orders of drinks that it was being held up a little bit, but not so much that it was displeasing. I want to say it took me five minutes to get the mango lemonade refresher that I ordered and my friend seven minutes for her to get her coconut coffee. I wish I remembered exactly what the coconut coffee was called. I absolutely cannot wait to go back to this location. I’m hoping that it’ll be soon! The staff were all extremely friendly. There was a woman who was constantly refilling the pastry display cases who, even though she was busy, was perfectly fine answering questions from my friends and I. If anything, I would definitely recommend that as early as possible if there’s a specific pastry that you want as I can see them emptying out very quickly. My personal favorites were the apple turnover and butter, salted pastry
This was my 4th trip to this bakery I love the staff very friendly very clean and a very large assortment of pastries. I decided to try the cold brew coffee and the freshly made sandwich which they heated up for me. No disappointment here, I also picked up the cappuccino cake for mothers day along with a box of assorted goodies. You need to try them all eventually. There all yummy! Best of all, plenty of free parking! Check it out!
The breads and pastries are so good. Personal fave drink is the strawberey lemonade refresher. For the pastries, love everything,.you cant go wrong.
This branch reminds me of the many Paris Baguette establishments in South Korea. The pastries, ambiance and service also mimics what is expected as well. With a cure to being homesick of having their choco crossaint and iced coffee, a 30min drive is well worth it.
Great pastries and food. Loved the selection and everything was delicious. Took my toddlers here and they couldn't get enough croissants lol
I just picked up my birthday gift 🤩🤩🤩 I redeemed it online and I ordered a Red Velvet cake slice. It’s delicious and so fresh. I think they changed the recipe because it’s more moist and creamy without the strawberries and the strawberry jam they were using before. Thank you guys appreciate you.
Great customer service and pastries are amazing. What I like the most is the ambiance. Plenty of space for you to sit with a guest.
The BEST custard filled donut I have ever had. If this place was closer to where we live, we’d be in heaven and in trouble. Lol.
I enjoy the experience of picking up a tray and selecting pastries and savories from their huge selection. My favorite is the salted butter roll. Their coffee is really good too as are all of the folks that work there. Looking forward to their opening in Walnut Creek!
5 stars for the amazing textures of all the pastries we’ve tried. The croissants had the same texture of the ones that I had in France and that’s really hard to come by around the area. We had the almond pastry, hash brown bread, croissant donut, pastry frank and maple sweet cream cold brew. Favorite ones were the hash brown bread, croissant donut and almond pastry. They offered to heat our warm items and it took 2 minutes total. Super quick and friendly. We loved the fact that you grab your own tray and tongs and grab your own items. The tables were also clean and there’s plenty of places to sit.
This is a truly brilliant place for breakfast. They offer an impressive variety of delicious pastries, with fillings ranging from fresh berries to sausages, eggs, tuna, and even crab meat. The diversity and quality of their recipes are outstanding. I genuinely love this place with all my heart. The modern interior creates a very pleasant atmosphere, and the staff are consistently polite and efficient. Thank you very much for such a wonderful experience!
Tried new pastries from an array of pastries topped with various tasty fruits. Also, a variety of freshly made sandwiches. Various cakes are beautifully decorated. This place is extremely popular. There is plenty of parking in the back if you can't find one right up front. Parking is wheelchair accessible.
What better time to try out Paris Baguette than Mother's Day? Love the selection and the unique pastries. Some very traditional Parisian treats and other fun things as well as sandwiches, coffees, and teas. I've yet to try a croissant donut and so happy to say I didn't have to wait in a super long line to finally indulge. A decent amount of indoor seating is always nice when you want to sit down to enjoy your treat(s). My only sorta complaint was the workers trying to refill the pastries... I say sorta as I know they are doing their job, but they took up a lot of area and it was rough to navigate around. I also find it odd that self-serve places want you to add a tip. We will definitely be back, but not too often or my waistline will not be happy.
Dangerous. Too good. 1st time trying. Everything tastes fresh and very appealing to the eye. They ran out of NY cheesecake the 1st 2 hrs being open. That's either bad planning or it's that good. Magically were out. Definitely recommend and would go again.
Paris baguette opened a couple of moth ago in a great new location at downtown Pleasant Hill. When you walk in to your left will be trays and tongs to grab pastries. There are so many different, fresh and delicious goodies to choose from! Affordable prices and great customer service! There is plenty of free parking spaces available as well as a parking garage up the street by theater. I just wish they have some/ any gluten free & dairy free options for people with dietary restrictions as myself. They're open until 9pm for dessert! We'll be back for our next birthday cake!
Their Almond Croissant are the best. Spacious and clean. Pleasant outdoor walking strip.
Place is big and clean!! We live in WC for 5 yrs now and been wishing to have a Paris Baguette near by and finally it's here in Pleasant Hill! I couldn't be more happier!! So far this is the best Paris Baguette I've been to! Bread/pastries is fresh and taste sooo scrumptious!
How have I never heard of seen of this place. It is such a a cool experience and delicious food made from scratch. I don't even remember the names of what I got (maybe PB will reply with the names of each item in my picture lol) but I can tell you they were all delicious! 😋 I highly recommend this spot especially if you want to surprise a friend or group with some delicious baked treats.
Great pastries both savory and sweet. Some of the best ice tea in the world and a beautiful cake counter.
Bakery mini land 🧁 with wide range of pastry and cakes. Every item is beautifully displayed and has price and calories Information. Spacious, simple and pleasant atmosphere. As well as thoughtful way of the customer journey picking process. Friendly service and tasty 😋 bakery + love black house coffee. Of course - Maxa approved (it’s me) 👌
Ah, Paris Baguette in Pleasant Hill! This charming bakery cafe is a delightful spot for satisfying sweet cravings. As a food enthusiast with a sweet tooth, I can't recommend it enough. Let's delve into their pastry paradise! The star of the show for me is definitely the tiramisu cup. It's a symphony of creamy textures and coffee bliss. Each spoonful is a perfect balance of ladyfinger cake, rich mascarpone cheese, and a touch of coffee liqueur. It's pure indulgence in a tiny cup! For a warm and comforting treat, the cinnamon apple pie is a winner. The flaky crust cradles tender, caramelized apples that are bursting with cinnamon spice. It's the perfect afternoon pick-me-up, especially when enjoyed with a scoop of vanilla ice cream (not included, but oh so worth the addition!). And of course, no visit to Paris Baguette is complete without a slice of cake. The strawberry soft cream cake is a delightful option. Light and fluffy sponge cake layers are filled with a sweet strawberry cream and topped with a generous dollop of whipped cream. Fresh strawberries add a pop of color and freshness. Now, while the pastries are undeniably delightful, the coffee and tea selection left me wanting a bit more. For a bakery cafe, I would have loved a bolder cup of coffee or a wider variety of loose leaf teas. However, the pastries are so delicious that a quick coffee run elsewhere can easily be forgiven. Overall, Paris Baguette in Pleasant Hill is a fantastic spot for satisfying your sweet tooth. With its charming atmosphere and delectable pastries, it's a must-visit for any dessert enthusiast!

The honey cake is such a delight to relish. I would go here again and again since it's now my new desert favorite. The chocolate and mango iced cake slices were good too but not the best. The location is amazing but finding a parking spot is difficult bet. Location wise it has a wonderful atmosphere.
The reason I’m not giving five starts is because regular coffee I think is a bit too expensive. I paid $9.18 for two coffees. I normally pay 6.40ish at other places. Pastries are delicious a bit pricey but really good, I’ll definitely come back for more. Everything is freshly made, I love that
My first time here and thought the selection was perfect. it’s not all the time I walk into a self serve bakery, don’t see them anywhere (I don’t look I mean likes stumble ) .My only downside is I would only say they were busy and tables were dirty that we didn’t end up eating inside and my fruit croissant was stale a little. Perfect location.
Fresh bread, pastries, and desserts. I love going to Paris Baguette, especially when bread is still warm. Unfortunately nowadays, most of their bread has been sitting and it's gone cold. The cakes are also delightful, with cream fillings that are not too sweet and have fresh fruits.
If you ever drop a Pastry on the floor, just put it back or leave it on the floor. When you admit you dropped it, the Manager will charge you for it. Just saying.. A $5 Pastry would not hurt your bottom line vs. good customer service. And yes, I have emailed Paris Baguette and they requested my number but nobody has called me back. Again, not the best customer service. Also, don't let them put parchment paper on top on your chocolate Pastry because the chocolate will stick to the parchment paper and ruin it. See Pic. Update: The District Mánager called me and apologized for the experience. They are making corrective action at the store to ensure the experience I received never happens again. I hope that is true. I appreciate them reaching out. The Mánager was suppose to call but never did.
Nice new location with plenty of yummy looking pasties to choose. Pick up a tray and tongs and proceed through the display cases of many different choices. We had a croissant doughnut and a chocolate filled croissant. The doughnut was great. The filling lacked chocolate in the croissant. Unfortunately when eating in, you get your cappuccinos in a paper cup. The prices are quite high here. Over $40 for a 6” cake. $2.79 per macaroon. Counter service friendly. I wish them luck here.
The pastries sold here are very reminiscent of an 85°C Bakery, with some slightly different. That being said, I feel like the name of the pastry shop is a little misleading. Regardless of this, the food is excellent. I was a particularly fan on the pistachio mochi donut.
Great alternative to typical treat surprises for the kids. The rainbow slice of cake was beautifully well done. It's mostly sugar and a bit of strawberry flavor, but it tastes as good as it looks to kids who love rainbows

The set up for this place is rather odd. No one ever knows where to stand in line. The large glass case covers the front as well as a good section of the place. Taking up more seating. They really missed the opportunity to have an outside area that is apart of the restaurant. The staff are nice. The place seems to be clean. The music is terrible and half the time way way too loud. The bathroom has been broken for months.

This aestheticly pleasing bakery in PH is quite quaint. Beautifully displayed pastries light and airy meet up spot with a nice french vibe. The pasteries were so-so. The powdered sugar donut with custard filing as well as the almond pastry were fantastic. The macarons were okay. The tart, mini croissant with strawberries were a pass. But most of all this place needs to replace their barista! I ordered a Chai latte and it was awful. It was iced milk with chai flavoring. No shot of espresso! Tried to get it corrected and the woman gave us a blank, vacant stare. Oh my! 🤯 My daughter got a coconut latte that was bitter with very light taste of coconut. Next time, we will stop at Peets for coffee and get baked goods here.
Paris Baguette in Pleasant Hill consistently delivers amazing pastries. The quality and variety are fantastic, and I always look forward to visiting. However, my recent experience was dampened by poor customer service at the cash register. On February 22nd, between 5:40 pm and 6:00 pm, the cashier was visibly upset and had a negative attitude. It’s unfortunate because her demeanor created an unpleasant atmosphere. In a place where customers come in excited and respectful, they deserve to be treated the same way. It’s disappointing to see such great products paired with unprofessional service. I hope management takes this feedback into account, as customer service is just as important as the quality of the pastries.

Pro: the pain aux raisins Cons: mediocre cappuccino served in a paper cup (no option for a real cup), the whole plastic tray/parchment paper/tongs smacks of a cafeteria, service is robotic/impersonal. It’s a cold space…and I’m not talking about the temperature. Seems about right for our late-stage capitalist dystopian times. My usual coffee places are Caffe La Scala (for a European atmosphere, NOBODY beats it) or Philz (the BEST coffee), both in Walnut Creek. This was my first and likely last time in Paris Baguette. I’d rather go to Dunkin’ Donuts. Il ne vaut pas la peine d’aller à cette fausse espace mal nommée “Paris Baguette”.
The dark tall and slim person who identified as a manager attacked me today June 28, 2025. Police record on file. I stopped at this store randomly because I was a little hungry. I picked and payed for 2 pastrie and set at a table inside. The first pastry was fine but the second pastry was stale and really bad. So I simply went to the counter and told a worker that one of my 2 pastries was stale and requested a refund or replacement. That person called the the person who identified as the store manager: he grudgingly said that he will give me a refund and he he said he doesn't want me back in the store. I haven't been in that store for years and I wasn't going to comeback anyway. The person identifiying as the manager pulled me towards the exit door. He put put 5 dollar bills in my hand and then he squeezed and hurt my right hand very hard and painfully for about 15 seconds while saying "don't come bac". I called the police and an attorney. I'm almost 55 years old person and very mild and courteous. This will go to court. and pulled me to towards the door.
I have in other locations of Paris baguette many times. This is my first time in Pleasant Hill location and I was extremely disappointed by the rude behavior of the cashier. I ordered some pastries and a cup of hot tea (they didn’t give me the receipt) and ask what size of tea I would like. Then I brought my pastries to table but I didn’t got my tea. When I came back and ask about tea she responded with condescending tone, making me feel unwelcome. She said you didn’t pay for your tea however I already paid and she asked me what kind of tea, which size I prefer it happened 3 minutes ago. I tried to explain but she didn’t listen, turn away. When I called for her she pretended not to hear. The attitude was unprofessional and made the entire experience unpleasant. I love the pastries here, but the poor customer service has definitely made me think twice about coming back. A friendly attitude goes a long way, and sadly, this was lacking during my visit.
I've been coming to this place for a long time, and today I had a terrible experience with the person who took my payment; if they don't like their job, they shouldn't be here.
I recently visited the Paris Baguette location in Pleasant Hill, and I have to say it was a disappointing experience. The manager seemed to have an overly obsessive approach, constantly observing us to a point where it felt uncomfortable. It didn’t create a welcoming atmosphere, especially since we were there to enjoy time with family. Additionally, the place is not kid-friendly at all. Despite us carefully watching our children, the staff continually complained about them. It was as if any movement from our kids was an issue, making it difficult to feel at ease or even enjoy the visit. The staff’s attitude was unfriendly and bordered on rude. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this location if you’re looking for a family-friendly environment. There are other cafes and bakeries around that offer a more welcoming experience for families.
Walked in looked around for about 10 minutes was never greeted. I wanted to order some stuff on the computer but it didn't work so I stood in line for a few more minutes and was ignored so I left.
Today I went to this place and I ordered 2 mocha latte. Both of the mocha were tooooooo sweet that was not drinkable. I went to them and told them both of the mocha are too sweet and we can not drink that sweet. I asked the lady (Keyla) for refund and said that she is the store manager here and she cannot refund it to me. She lied that she is the manager. When I told her I will write a review for poor customer service and rudeness. went to seat to finish my pastry, she ran to the asian guy who seat in front of them close to cashier and looked like she was explaining the situation and I understood she was not the manager. As I was trying to write a review I read other reviews as well and the had the same issue. I also mentioned that when the workers were cleaning the sink and counter with a wet towel, they used the same one to clean the tray and tongs. That’s very gross and disgusting. This place is not hygienic and environmental health division definitely needs to come to check out this place and stop them. Extremely disappointing experience - Poor customer service!!!!
Suspected Mold and Unacceptable Management - AVOID I purchased a slice of Crepe Cake on that was clearly contaminated with suspected mold. I have photo evidence of the black discoloration on the cake. When I brought this serious food safety concern back to the Pleasant Hill store, the manager on duty refused to issue a refund, dismissively claiming the mold was a "gingerbread cracker" that wasn't even on the slice. Worse, the manager told me my quality concern was invalid because I used a BOGO coupon. This response is an absolute failure in both customer service and food safety protocol. See other reviews about this same person who scolded and fired employee in public. Check your food closely. Unsafe product quality combined with hostile management. ZERO STARS.
