Wow. What a nice overall experience for a first-timer. The beef/mushroom bowl was super delicious. I had to raise my eyebrows with the first bite surprised at the taste. The bowl was nice and hot. Perfect on a chilly day. Service was just as surprising. Manual and Angel Z. were at our table several times refilling waters, removing dishes we were done with, asking if things were ok and if we needed anything. I live out of town but travel through this was a lot. I will be coming back. Thanks guys!

Solid food, no complaints. I can eat here on keto and my kids and husband (who are full carb) are equally satisfied. The chicken was moist and the Cobb was good. The beets and carrots were a hit and my husband said the Hummingbird cake was good if you like bananas in your cake - it was supposedly moist, not too sweet, and had a solid icing. Kids meals came with drinks which was a nice extra we didn’t expect.

I ordered the blackened salmon with sides of parmesan topped mushrooms and mac n cheese. The salmon and mushrooms were delicious and the mac n cheese was acceptable. It's a little expensive but so is everywhere nowadays. I can tell the quality of the ingredients is high. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead if 5 for service is that it took about 25 minutes for my food to come out when it wasn't busy. When it's in my budget I'll be back.

We wanted to try something different, so we stopped by this place. I tried the ribs and my wife tried the shrimp plate. The ribs were fatty and the sauce was too sweet. The meat was warm when served. I knew they were baked but I expected better. The macaroni was cold. The wife's plate was a bit disappointing as well. The rice was not good and the shrimp was bland. Lastly, they don't serve name brand drinks. I'm okay with that but at $450 for a generic cola, the flavor was not good. Even if it's a healthier alternative, it should not have a taste that ruins your dining experience. In all fairness, the staff was great and the decor was inviting.

I have always enjoyed the meals . Many food options. I was there last week. I had the beef and mushroom braise. ( I've had it several times),with a small house salad, and coffee. The braise was Luke warm. The meat was tough and very few mushroom. The coffee was the pits, very watery. And there was no half and half so I had to have plain milk. That's the second time this happened to me. I would think that a place like Urban Plates would have much better coffee. I'm concerned the next time I eat there, it will be just as bad. The salad was good.

We ordered a cheeseburger and a steak wrap. They came with fries that had a burnt and overly salty taste. The cheeseburger was completely cold. The bun was cold and the patty was cold. It was not warm at all. The wrap was not good either, it tasted dry. I am honestly surprised this place has so many good reviews because the food was absolutely not tasty. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was nice, and that is it. It is definitely not a place worth coming back to.

I’m sick and hungry so I ordered food on DoorDash. I was looking for something healthy to eat to help my immune system. Anything besides soup because I’ve been eating it and tired of it. Food 1/10 service 1/10. If I can put 0 stars I would. Service 1/10, no utensils and sauces were provided, they packaged with no care and threw it in the bag. Food 1/10, I ordered the steak, seafood chowder, bread, fries. I’m not even being dramatic, steak taste like cancer, there was no flavor, only smoke. Chowder was cold and super thick and has an odd flavor, I don’t taste any seafood besides this odd flavor that I can’t describe. Chowder can’t be cold from DoorDash, cause urban plates is literally 5 mins from my home. Bread also taste like cancer, bread was grilled. I’ve never seen anyone grilled bread before. Toasting bread make more sense. Fries on the other hand was good, reminded me of Burger King. Very disappointed.

We’ve ordered from Urban Plates many many times. But today will be our last. And we might have to seek medical assistance as well. As I was chewing my food, I felt something extremely sharp lodge into my gums. Realized it was a piece of glass in the food. My gums started bleeding after biting into this. This came from either the chili glazed tofu or the rice pilaf (both were in the same container). The worst part is my child ate some of the same two items too - and my concern is they may have ingested parts of this glass too. My child is too young to communicate if they’ve ingested any of this - so we’re watching closely now for symptoms. This is totally unacceptable and I don’t quite understand how you even manage to get glass in someone’s food. You will hear more from us if it turns out that our child is injured in any way from the glass we found in our food. Internal GI injuries can take a while to show up - and we’ll be keeping a close eye on this.
