The service staffs are wonderful! The waitress was very nice and attentive! We asked to sit outside because we had 2 dogs and the waiter brought them some water and we’re really appreciate that. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was nice and clean.
Every thing I have tried I have enjoyed. Today I splurged on chicken and waffles because they have the option to have boneless chicken breast. The pea can butter and spiced syrup added a great touch.
As a party of four, we started with refreshing Arnold Palmer and a pomegranate spritzer. Refreshing and delicious. Our appetizers were spinach artichoke dip served in a mini skillet and crunchy jalapeno cheddar doughnuts with bacon aioli. We liked the slow heat of the dip and the individual flavors in the savory doughnuts and smoky sauce. The fried chicken looked and tasted delicious - just like home! The halibut was full of color and accompanying vegetables. The fish was soft and flaky. The size of the short ribs made our jaws drop! Such a large portion, smothered in au jus and propped up on creamy mashed potatoes. Lastly, the fried chicken salad with mixed greens was fresh and full of flavor. We were all too stuffed for dessert. The interior of the restaurant is simply decorated with a front bar and side by side tables. The high ceiling means that the noise factor is fairly loud, but we appreciated our server's good humor and attention to our table. Highly recommend this Pleasant Hill gem. had southern fried chicken, shirt ribs,
We decided to try out Crescent Bistro, and it was a cozy and beautiful spot—perfect for a family gathering! The ambiance was charming and inviting, blending a cozy feel with modern decor. The elegant exterior welcomed us, and the warmly lit, beautifully designed bar area made the setting even more special. The crescent moon detail above the bar added a unique touch, tying into the bistro’s name and theme. It truly felt like a place where you could relax and savor good food with loved ones. Here’s what we ordered: • Sweet Corn Risotto: My brother-in-law enjoyed this dish, and it looked hearty and beautifully plated. • Bistro Burgers: Mommy, my sister, and I couldn’t resist trying their signature burger. My sister and I paired it with fries, and Mom opted for a salad. The burgers were flavorful and juicy—a definite win! • Nuggets and Fries: My niece went for the classic kid’s choice and seemed pretty happy with it. • Strawberry Lemonade: I also tried their strawberry lemonade—refreshing and just the right amount of sweet. Not only was the food great, but our server was absolutely lovely—attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. Crescent Bistro’s ambiance, delicious food, and wonderful service made it a delightful choice for a laid-back family dinner.
My wife had heard good things about this place and it was on our list of places to try. It has that classic Bistro atmosphere. Our server (Marvin) was incredibly friendly and attentive, keeping up on our food and drinks as we ordered them throughout the visit. Food was great! We got to try a few new things we hadn't seen anywhere else like thier signature Jalapeno Cheddar Doughnuts, and Pineapple Upside-down Cake cocktail. Left satisfied with leftovers. The bill was on the higher side but that was primarily due to how many drinks/appetizers we ordered. Food was worth the price though.
The food was good, but the service could have been better. Devilled eggs were good. The jalapeño Cheddar donuts were pretty good along with the bacon aioli that came with it. Think Brazilian cheese biscuits meet jalapeño and Cheddar. They were very fluffy. Entrees... The fried chicken and waffles were pretty good. It came with 3 crispy pieces of fried chicken thighs on a waffle. The brunch burger was cooked well and juicy. The caramelized onions were really good on the burger. Drinks... We got the Pomegranate Ginger Spritz and that was tart and sweet. I liked it. Cocktail... The Hummingbird Bird had gin, cucumber, honeydew orgeat, and ginger. It was pretty good.
Crescent Bistro serves delicious food that takes inspiration from a variety of cultures in a nice, casual setting. The biggest crowd-pleasers at our table were the jalapeño cheddar doughnuts, the tempura green beans, crispy pork belly buns, and the sausage and mushroom gnocchi... which was almost everything we ordered. Service was excellent--patient, friendly, and never intrusive. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for something to try in the area!
Excellent new restaurant and bar at “downtown” Pleasant Hill. Very well laid out interior and patio setup. Staff and bartender were great! Very helpful with the menu. The cocktails were incredibly creative and enjoyable. The small plates we had were also great. The Aleppo Grilled Shrimp with chorizo and hash was excellent! Dessert menu looked great, but we didn’t try. Definitely will be back to try more, including Lunch.
Wonderful meal at Crescent Bistro. Started with the beet salad and the Burrata plate, both very fresh and bright flavors. My wife got the fried chicken and I got the gnocchi with sausage and mushrooms. Both were fantastic. Upscale yet very approachable menu and restaurant.
Great southern style menu with great options like andouille Mac and cheese, and fried chicken. Fun desert menu as well with beignets filled with ricotta and nana brûlée. Great service and nice background music. Will come again.
Came here for brunch and really enjoyed it. Everything we ate tasted amazing and made from fresh ingredients. A lot of flavor in every bite. On top of that the staff was extremely friendly and kind. Definitely one of the best bistros I've been to. Food & coffee: The devilled eggs with the cured salmon, classic eggs Benedict and the bistro burgers all came out excellent, much better than we were expecting. The hand crafted borgia coffee was delicious and even my wife who doesn't normally like coffees/lattes even enjoyed it. A lot of selections for other hand crafted coffee as well as cocktails & mocktails. Atmosphere: A nice simple clean open space that gives a very fresh vibe.

Lovely place with indoor and outdoor seating (with heating lamps). There's plenty of parking on the street or a parking lot behind the restaurant. There's a lounge area with a fire pit right in front of the restaurant so you can head out there after you're done eating to relax. We only had dessert and coffee but everything on the menu sounds amazing so we will definitely be back to try more items. Our desserts were delicious and the coffee was really good 👌🏼 The servers were very attentive and friendly even though we got there almost at closing time. I would definitely recommend this place!
Love the vibe and the service at Crescent Bistro. I stop in for a Saturday or Sunday afternoon late lunch every couple of months and I'm always greeted with warm recognition. Love me a burger, and they have gluten free buns so I can partake in their delicious burger choices. There are many items on the menu that can't be adapted, but several that can, and I never leave unsatisfied. The salmon devilled eggs are a frequent choice. Whether drinking a glass of wine, or a signature cocktail, the bartenders treat me right. Occasionally I'll just say "surprise me" and have never been disappointed.
I’ve dined here several times for family dinners, date nights, and outings with friends, and each visit has been consistently excellent with no long waits. The deviled eggs, banana foster pancakes, and fried chicken sandwich are standouts. The staff is super friendly, and the outdoor patio is perfect for nice weather. Today’s lunch was especially memorable thanks to our wonderful waiter (I'm misspelling his name, but I believe it’s Katzan). He was attentive, upbeat, and truly made our experience so much fun. I’ll definitely be returning! :)
I hosted a bridal shower here on Saturday and it was about as perfect as it could get. From the initial contact I had made by email, Brad was helpful and worked within my budget. There were no minimums, no room fees, no fuss! He set aside the patio area for the brunch shower and even made personalized menus with the bride's name on them and the date! It's these little touches that make a restaurant special and from the moment we arrived to set up and decorate, Crescent's staff was right there to help. They went above and beyond! The food was delicious, the staff was attentive (without hovering) and the mimosas were flowing! Thank you to Brad and his wonderful staff for making this day memorable and about as perfect as it could be. I will be sure to let all my friends and family know about your wonderful restaurant and low-stress approach to hosting a small party of 20!

We were in town for a baby shower and decided to go get for brunch on our last day. We arrived and were sat quickly for 1030/11am on a Sunday. We ordered coffee (Not sure if coffee was refillable, but it was never offered and became too hot for me to ask for another cup) and beignets. The beignets are NOT like NOLA, they are more a mushy donut with banana foster on top. They were good, just not exceptional to me to get again. When we ordered I just asked for them, thinking there would be a variety, but they only came out with bananas. So make sure if you want flavors, you ask. Our food came out and everything looked great! My friends who got the Egg Benedict’s said there was a bit more of a lemon taste than they were used to, but they were good. The Banana Foster pancakes were great! I would definitely get them again, but then share another plate. Over all the restaurant was nice! The little downtown atmosphere of Pleasant Hill was quaint, many families around. I would definitely go back for those home style potatoes and a different dish. Very popular place!

I got a spinach pear salad to go. I really wanted to like it and I did for the most part but the hazelnuts were rancid. That really ruins the taste of a good salad, especially for me because I really like hazelnuts. I picked the nuts out and enjoyed the rest of the salad including feta cheese, shredded raddicio, cranberries, pears, and a nice dressing. Having had some disappointment with the salad, I have to say that the jalapeno cheddar donuts were amazing! One of the customers leaving said that I had to try them. I took his word for it and although I really shouldn't have that many calories, it was worth it. The dipping sauce goes perfectly. Got to work on those nuts people! Sorry I was in such a hurry to try the donuts that I forgot to take a picture until I took a bite. They were really good!

Went on a Saturday night, before 7. Did not have a reservation for 2. One server said it would be awhile, another offered a two top that needed to be cleaned. We were seated promptly. Clearly it was a shared service, waitstaff and bartenders. Cocktails were decent, appetizers overpriced, 2 crab cakes $18, fried chicken, thighs undercooked, mashed potatoes substituted for an extra $3, salty, fish not served with sauce as on the menu, no offer of dessert, clearly not a focus on architectural details, exposed plugs on the ceiling, loud, tables to close. Not the “Bistro” experience I was expecting for the price point. Better on DoorDash than in person dining 😔

This place is not worth the price. We got the southern fried chicken and the bistro burger. The chicken was moist but needed some flavor, they serve it with hot sauce that was better than just the chicken but it was like using straight vinegar so be careful with it. The burger was so basic, it was definitely a good $6 burger but not a $19.
Overall not crazy about their plates at all! Brussels sprouts were a 3 out of 10. Halibut was a 4 out of 10. Pork belly appetizer *** out of 10 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️ and last the green beens a decent 7 out of 10. Now I know…. 😂

I had seen a very good review on Check Please Bay Area so my wife and I decided to try them for lunch. The crab cakes didn't taste as fresh as they could but my wife said she didn't detect anything. The Bistro Burger's texture was mushy and sinewy and the fries tasted like they were from the day before. The fried chicken in the chicken sandwich was cooked well but the coating appeared to be just seasoned flour, with not much taste, no crunch, was cooked very well, but the cabbage slaw on top was pretty tasteless. There was a little spice from the jalapeño but that was about it. I requested a side salad instead of the fries with the dressing on the side and it came already dressed. We asked for a lemonade as they claimed it was fresh squeezed but it was cloudy like a mix and the server(?) probably a bus boy filling in, had his hand all over the rim of the glass when he sat it down, without even a straw so we didn't touch it. When I demonstrated how the bus boy sat the glass down for the actual server, she thought the problem was there was no ice in the glass and I had to explain to her he should have held the glass at the bottom when he sat it down. Apparently, she didn't even know how the glass should have been handled. 😖 So disappointed...

Ordered the breakfast tacos via door dash today. Tastes nothing like I remembered. Poor quality and quantity at its price point. Even the sauce doesn't taste the same. They've fallen off bad.
We arrived at the restaurant and waited to be seated. The server told us that only high tables were available. We said that was fine and politely asked if we could be moved to a low table once one became available. After that, the server walked away without any explanation and never returned, leaving us waiting without any follow-up. Another server eventually came over and apologized, explaining that several low tables were actually available, which made the situation even more confusing. The experience left us feeling uncomfortable ans we eventually left
