Amazing!! Came for the tom yum paella (so flavorful and the seafood was cooked perfectly), was surprised to be blown away by the lobster mentaiko pasta!! Beautiful ambiance and really friendly and attentive service. Best dining experience in ages! Well worth the trip from San Francisco.

My husband and I came here, and we instantly fell in love with the food. I ordered the chicken and waffles, while he went for the Kings, and both dishes were absolutely delicious. I also tried the mixed fruit bowl, and I can honestly say it was the best one I’ve ever had—so fresh and flavorful! We enjoyed every bite and finished everything on our plates. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive, frequently checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. The restaurant itself has a lovely ambiance, and the food is well worth the price. We’ll definitely be coming back!

I visited this restaurant for brunch on a weekday. The place wasn’t too crowded, and the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. The food was equally impressive. I highly recommend the tom yum paella and the croffle for dessert. The atmosphere was fantastic, and the chairs were simply amazing—the most comfortable I’ve ever sat in at a restaurant. I recommend this place 10/10

Updated Oct '25: STILL very good taste, excellent service, and they were able to accommodate Gluten Free substitutes. Great atmosphere. We came back and they are busier now but the food and drinks are great.

Had a wonderful brunch at The Royale. The food is well thought out and beautifully presented. The space is nicely appointed and the staff are attentive and cheerful.

Easily one of the best brunch spots we’ve ever been to! Every dish and drink was executed to perfection. The Tom Yum Paella was a standout—an incredible balance of spicy and sour flavors. The pancakes were unique, served with matcha sauce and fresh berries, and the chicken & waffles were top-class—crispy on the outside, unbelievably tender inside. The atmosphere is just as impressive as the food—beautiful decor with great attention to detail. The staff were super friendly and made the experience even better. Highly recommend this place!

Saw posts and photos about this restaurant and it looked intriguing even a little fancy for a breakfast place. We enjoyed the decor especially the many gold themed items from the utensils right down to the drinking straws! The unique edible flower garnishes that accompanied many of the drinks and plates was also a nice touch. We ordered several things to try including the omurice with sirloin. It was my first time finally trying an an omurice omelette, and while the center wasn't runny like I've seen in video's of the egg being cut open along the top and soaking into the rice, (overcooked?) it was still tender in the middle with a good flavor. My kids each ordered hot chocolates and really enjoyed the cute bear glasses they were served in. We also tried the ROYALE's bacon which was delicious! To drink I ordered a Super Tom Yum Mary and my wife ordered a grapefruit mimosa, we both enjoyed our drinks as well as the presentation to make them look nice. While we were eating the owner came over and chatted with us, asked us how we found out about this place, and even let us know they were considering expanding to dinner menus/hours, which we will very much look forward to! The food is on the pricy side, but considering the name and theme of this restaurant that should be expected.

That’s a new addition to restaurants in our area and we decided to try it. We came for happy hour to try the kitchen and with 4 of us we ordered most of the meals from happy hour menu - the are 12 of them. The anonymous verdict: very nice, we’ll come there again. The best dish in our opinion- mashrooms: uniquely looking and very tasty. Drinks were nice too. The restaurant is not popular yet, it opened only a few months ago and was not crowded at all

Beautiful restaurant great food. Visited this restaurant for a holiday breakfast with 6 of our family members. Lovely decor and friendly staff. Ordered the crab egg Benedict which comes with a salad, country potatoes and treated myself to a mimosa. Although the restaurant was full the our waitress was super nice and attentive which brought our food out fairly timely. You’ll be pleasantly surprised with the presentation of the dish. Simply elegant and tastefully done reminding me of a Michelin. Star restaurant food presentation. Common for this classy restaurant will be pricing so be prepared. All worth the cost and ambience’s for the whole family to enjoy. Highly recommended!

Oh my word, what an amazing restaurant. The Royale's aesthetic is great, the staff are attentive and nice, and the food and drinks are superb. I just happened on this restaurant while checking out places for brunch. This one stuck out to me in the area and I have no regrets. Well.. maybe that I don't live closer to Pleasant Hill. We ordered a couple of the signature lattes which were cute and delicious. We also ordered the classic American, Tom Yum Paella, Salmon Benedict, and the Chicken Waffle. All of the food was tremendous and I appreciate the Thai fusion which elevated each dish. Go check this place out now! Be warned, The Royale gets very busy, but their service is so quick, you likely won't be waiting too long.

Date with my self and a week later came with some friends. The food and service is 🔥🔥🔥 now the atmosphere is top-tier. The fried chicken Benedict whatever it’s called super good, and the crab scramble whatever it’s called amazing! The bacon was really delicious. It’s more like candy so just keep that in mind.

We enjoyed everything we ordered: Kare raisu, crab omelette and a side of special bacon. They had a lot of coffee/tea options which sounded amazing but we didn't get any that day. We look forward to trying it next time, and we will definitely come back again because we want to try all the other dishes!!

The Royale is fantastic! The food is fresh and drinks are unique (I tried the green goddess omelette, croissant avocado toast and ube iced latte ), and the interior is beautifully designed. It feels like a high-end city dining experience right here in Pleasant Hill. Great service and plenty of parking. We will definitely be back!

Amazing atmosphere, very chic and clean, I LOVED the food and cappuccino ( of course I tried the food of my husband as well and it was greeeat too!), amazing choice of dishes as well as drinks, beautiful interior! I liked the idea of the see through glass kitchen which is very light and super clean. Nice Parisian like veranda outside, this place deserves my 10 out of 10 score ❤️🔥

Absolutely delightful restaurant. Incredible drinks. So unexpected for this bedroom town. The bartender is a genius, and the food was excellent. Perfectly cooked and the flavor peofiles are unique and just works. The way they blend the flavors for both food and drinks, is very creative. The waiters are friendly and attentive. Manifique!

What a gem! Everything about this place is so thoughtful and done with such care. The staff are lovely and the cuisine is varied and delicious. The environment is calm and welcoming; a touch of elegance without being snobby or pretentious. Absolutely reasonable prices and much higher quality than any chain.

I have been to The Royale 3 times now, and have been even more impressed each time. Their breakfast offering is amazing, from the standard breakfast omelettes and benedicts, to the amazing seafood options, including etouffee and a delicious ahi tuna salad. The presentation is just as sharp as the food, too. I would highly recommend going with a large group and sharing everything - you're going to want to try the whole menu. Their coffee/tea/espresso options are also fantastic, as are their cocktails. I also learned the last time I was here that they now do dinner service too. Can't wait to try it!

The chai latte was yummy & came in a cute cup, however I found the large cinnamon stick on top to be a bit wasteful - it wasn't necessary really. My only issue with this restaurant are the chairs! There were several different types throughout the restaurant, but the white & wooden chairs at our table were VERY narrow due to the placement & type of arms - if you could even call them that, since those & the back of the chair are very low. Not comfortable to sit in if you have larger hips or are plus sized!!

This is a solid crafty brunch spot. The place is well decorated and the staff is friendly. The food was really good- I ordered the smoked salmon croissant and my son ordered the ahi salad. The salmon croissant was excellent, i would order this again. The ahi salad was good but not as exciting a dish as my smoked salmon, somewhat basic although the avocado mouse was a nice touch. The hot chocolate came in an adorable mug and the honey I asked for to use in my coffee was presented in a golden bee. Very cute touches, this makes this place stand out. Be prepared to pay for it though. I dropped $90 on brunch for my 10 year old and me for 2 plates, side of their specialty bacon, coffee and hot chocolate.
