Opinions de Beverliz Cafe Beverly Hills
We ordered spicy wanton, spicy beef, bokchoy with garlic, fried rice with shrimp and chicken. VERY DELICIOUS!!! Will definitely come back!
Love the food and this is my go-to Sichuan place in the Bay Area. The crispy beef has been my favorite dish for over 10 years and is what I get cravings for since I now live abroad. The spicy Sichuan dumplings, boiled fish soup with chilis, sautéed string beans and pea sprouts are also favorites. Service can be slow at times, but is very kind.
Server was great, really hardworking. She was working alone, it was a quiet night, only 2 tables were filled though but really busy with pick-up. Food was great, and price was reasonable.
THIS IS THE BEST CHINESE FOOD OUTSIDE OF OAKLAND CHINATOWN. The only authentic Chinese restaurant east of the caldecott tunnel! Seriously, this place is good. On point flavors, solid portion sizes, and quality of ingredients are great - they always use fresh fish and veggies - they don't skimp on quality! Garlic garnishes are plentiful - its these little added touches that let you know the owners care about the quality of the food theyre serving. Service is great, the owners are friendly, the staff is always attentive, and the establishment is always kept pristine and clean. This truly is a hidden gem! It's located off the main-thoroughfare and not noticable from the street. Parking is super easy as they have their own private lot. If you're looking for authentic and delicious - go here. The fish in broth is next level. Ive been here many times and can definitively say this place is consistently fantastic!!!
The food is spicy hot, but that's what Sichuan is all about. Ask them to reduce the heat or try dishes like braised tofu if you can't handle the heat. My favorite is the cumin lamb; it is very, very Sichuan.
Happy to find a restaurant serving great Sichuan food outside a Chinatown. Service can be hit or miss for certain people, but it's online with every good Sichuan place I've been to. Very few exceptions in that space. Portions can be small, but the flavor isn't any different.
I've been coming to this place for the past decade and honestly food has been consistently great.

My 2 sons love this place so we visit at least once a month. Since Covid, they have not been as busy which is typical of many places since 2020. No matter what, the food is tasty, fresh, creative and we always discover something new when we come. So if you are thinking about Sichuan, please give this place a try! (The spice level can be adjusted) My teen loves the twice cooked pork, the pork and cabbage dumplings, my 1st grader loves the crispy pan fried noodle with vegetables and meat, the hand cut flat noodles. My husband and I enjoy anything in a hot pot like lamb or seafood with tofu and the combination pan fried rice cake. Enjoy!
A family run local business. Service may be a bit longer during peak hours but we enjoy the atmosphere. Food is pretty authentic (Sichuan peppercorns and spicy foods).
Sweet and Sour Pork is by far the best thing on the menu. Get like 3 orders of it, you won't be disappointed. Eat it hot and fresh don't let it steam in the to-go container!
Good portions and delicious. Exactly the type of chow mein I like with no little corns or water chestnuts. Spicy eggplant was also great.

This place is delicious! The Mongolian beef entree and chicken clay pot entree have no rival. The flavors do not disappoint. The Mongolian beef has a mild crisp/but soft texture and taste i can not get anywhere else. It's definitely a must try. (The only thing is it seems like take outs tie up/busy up the customer service and delay the check-out. )
This is by far the best szechuan food I've ever had, and I say that as someone who grew up in the SGV. The owners and the master chef (shifu) are old school, so while the interior is very nice, there's not much else in terms of ambience (i.e., if they would just play some background music, all would be settled). But who cares? They just focus on the food, the sign of a truly authentic restaurant. Flavors are exquisite. I really didn't expect it to be this good with it being in pleasant hill and all (where Asians are not the primary demographic make-up), but this place is authentic. Very good. I take my parents every time they visit. Please don't order potstickers and wontons, or worse, request that your hot and sour soup come with wontons in it. True story 😆. Nothing wrong with their potstickers, wontons, or hot & sour soup --- I'm sure they're all delicious. This place is more authentic than that. So make sure to order from their signature, authentic dishes, such as the fish in pickled/ fermented cabbage soup, fish in boiled water (literal translation).
found this place on my way to the movies. so happy i decided to give it a try. the food is was delicious and well seasoned. i live in the east bay but will be heading back again :)

My cousin recommended this place so we went here for early dinner (6pm). The restaurant had limited parking spot and lots of take out customers came. The dining area was pretty big with lots of tables. However, there was only 2 ladies serving all the tables & the take out orders, so it took a while to catch their attention for ordering. - Sichuan spicy crispy beef: delicious! The beef was super crispy yet the meat inside wasn’t tough. It was a tad sweet & very spicy. But we love it! - Spicy shredded potato: good. Potato was soft yet still had some crunch. Not too salty & good amount of spice. - Prawn with honey glazed walnut: super good! The prawn pieces were big & cooked perfectly. The honey glazed sauce was good - not too sweet & just enough sauce. Taste wise, the food was delicious! However, my only complaint was the portion. They were quite small for the price. After the 3 adults finished the meal, we were still a bit hungry. We would come back to try other items when we are in the area.

Ok on food but there is only one person to serve, take phone order and online order.
We used to dine here regularly whenever passing through the Concord/Pleasant Hill area via I-680. However, the quality of the food took a noticeable downturn after an ownership change a couple of years ago. Last week, we decided to give it another try, hoping for a pleasant surprise—especially since we’ve already been to all the other Sichuan restaurants in the area. Unfortunately, the experience was just as disappointing as we feared. The food was among the worst Sichuan-style dishes we’ve had: bland, flat, and utterly lacking in flavor. The fish soup tasted like water—thin and washed out. Service didn’t redeem the meal either; it was inattentive and unwelcoming. We’ll be avoiding this spot for at least another few years. Judging by the sparse number of customers during our visit, another ownership change—or even closure—may come sooner than expected.

Went there on a Sunday around 6, and had to wait 1 hour just for the appetizers?! Only 1 person was working as a waitress and behind the counter. Not good service. The food is good. No fortune cookies, sadly. Also, there are no lights in the parking lot, so be careful. If you don't mind waiting what feels like forever for your food to arrive, then you might enjoy this place. 😐

The food was unfortunately flavorless compared to every Sichuan style restaurant I’ve gotten food from. The salt and pepper pork did not have salt, nor did it have any peppers aside from some lightly fried jalapeños. The Mapo tofu was flavorless as well, which was the biggest disappointment. Fried green beans were fine, but overall, I would recommend to avoid this place.
Stopped by for lunch and ordered the seafood with tofu in a claypot from the lunch menu $14.99 . It didn't come in a claypot and was served with a side of rice on a plate definitely not seafood in a claypot, since on the plate was 3 shrimp and tofu , the former owner made sure you got the lunch special served b a sizzling claypot with shrimp , scalllop calamari a white fish and tofu with a side of rice, the current menu for b very misleading, when asked the young man he shrugged and said sea food has gotten expensive,I believe he's the current owners son .
