Three friends enjoyed a relaxed luncheon by sampling three different dishes together after a shared salad this afternoon. Our food was excellent. Sometimes we had to wait for service due to a short staff. Perhaps a few flowers on the tables or just a splash of color throughout the dining area would help to create a more inviting atmosphere. We will all return again.

First time here. Delightful place. Service is great! Helpful and fun to talk to. Good choices on the menu. Our waiter recommended the tea leaf salad. Very good! I would recommend it. Didn't get too adventures sadly and ordered the pad thai, but it was delicious. And the coconut rice was amazing. Good place to go for a quick lunch.

We love this restaurant! We don’t live in the area but we come here every year when we are visiting the week of Christmas. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the food is absolutely amazing!

My wife took me to try this new joint based on a friend’s recommendation for my Birthday. Absolutely loved the food. Tried fermented tea leaf salad, fiery tofu vegetables and fried Burmese rice. The owner Myat was super nice to talk to and our server Carla was a delight. She made sure we got a free dessert for my special occasion. Can’t wait to go back and try out more vegetarian dishes and more importantly take more of our friends there.

Simply traditional Burmese - this place is a nice weekend lunch spot with indoor outdoor seating and an extensive Burmese menu. We tried their tea leaf salad, minted chicken, black pepper tofu and wok spicy noodles. Everything was super yummy! I’d definitely be back here!

Overall it was great the cuisine is similar to Thai food but with a few twists like coconut chicken noodle soup or Burmese style pad Thai

Experience Burma is one of the best hidden gems in Pleasanton. Fellas, if you have a first date and you’re looking for a restaurant, this place would be ideal. Quiet enough for intimate conversations, great vibes, service and the food is stellar. The tea leaf salad is SUPERB.

The tea leaf salad is a must try!! I had the greens, but I'm sure the cabbage is as good.So much flavor and yet not heavily spiced.👍👍 A year later... dined in again. Ordered tea leaves salad and side of wings. The salad was wilted and severely lacked flavor. The wings were by far the worst I ever eaten...NO seasoning or coatings and under cooked😬

Party of three - husband, wife and husband's mom. We were a bit skeptical about trying Burmese food, but EXTREMELY PLEASED that we went here tonight ! Met two of the waiters - a young man in college from Burma and a young Salvadoran man. WOW, what an experience it was. The place was a bit slow, so we got to spend LOTS OF TIME talking with both of them. The Burmese waiter told me that he has tried lots ofo Burmese cuisine and that this was as authentic as it got. We tried all sorts of things and were not disapointed at all! The Platha & Coconut Chicken Curry dip was wonderful - smooth and mild tasting curry. The Tea Leaf Salad with Lettuce was a very interesting combination of flavors and I even had seconds (I never eat salad). We also had the Burmese Style Pad Thai, Coconut Rice, Burmese Pork Curry with Potatoes, as well as Mango Chicken. Very large portions and we walked out full, satified and with several boxes of food for leftovers. We will be going back !

Shared the tea leaf salad with shrimp and basil lamb. Food was delicious, service was delightful and responsive. Food came quickly. Cloth tablecloths and napkins made it feel like a good value. Plus I never make this food at home so I’m more than happy to pay for it. Highly recommended.

Ordered thru their on-line system, good descriptions of dishes! Sesame beef, pumpkin (kombucha squash) & pork curry (our fave), shan noodles and samosas. Food arrived on time, good level of spiciness and was delicious!

Ordered via ezcater for delivery for the office and everyone raved about the delicious authentic Burmese flavors. Was not too expensive and the portion sizes were good. The shrimp was the highlight with large fresh delicious plump shrimp. Burmese pad-thai noodles was fantastic as well and made for a great combo. The green beans and eggplant veggie dishes were well liked as well.

Pretty good find for Burmese cuisine. It’s on a small side street with parking spaces. All the staff were friendly. Food was awesome! Totally 5 ⭐️ experience.

This is a small shop with a very local, family-style feel. The tea leaf salad was delicious, and the other dishes were decent as well. The only downside is that the food options are a bit limited, but the service is very warm and welcoming.

This place is a gem!! The servers are great, and the food is so good! We ordered all vegetarian, and all the food was tasty- not too oily, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. We didn’t order any drinks or dessert but they had plenty of options. The server shared that the restaurant is tucked away on the side street and they struggle to attract customers… so, go eat there if you are looking for good food in a cozy environment with excellent servers.

First time here last week. Amazing service, very helpful, lots of vegan options, and very accommodating. Couldn't decide between lettuce or cabbage for our tea salad, our server immediately offered to do half and half! Great selection of mixed drinks as well as non-alcoholic beverages. Burmese Ice Milk Tea was made for us with coconut milk, no hassle. This is a strong tea, so lots of caffeine, just a heads up on that. The food came dish by dish as it was prepared, but was all brought quickly to our table. Lovely, interesting decor. Everything was very clean and well maintained. We will do take out in the future and definitely dine in again. Pricing in this review is at the lower range of $30-50 per person before tax and tip based on all of us having shared several dishes, each having one cocktail, and the Burmese tea. We feel it's reasonably priced compared to other similar restaurants and a generous tip was well-deserved. I realized we hadn't taken any pictures until we were well into the entrees, but will do so next time! Sticky mango rice was yummy and just the right ending to a perfect meal.

Loved lunch here. Came with a friend. he had the chilli beef with Burmese fried rice and samosa. I had the curry beef with pickled mango, coconut rice and tea salad. Loved the warm customer service, delicious, affordable food and ambiance. What a find. Came here after visiting the Museum on Main. Will have to return to try more items

Went with our team for lunch. We had a reservation for it. We just loved the food and service. Food was served within 10 min of placing the order. They were all flavorful. We just emptied everything we ordered. Coconut Chicken Noodle Soup & Lemongrass chicken are must try. Deserts were good too. Parking is tricky as there is limited parking in Division street but, there are ample road side parking available around the block. Will surely re-visit this restaurant for the yummy food.

I don’t know what I was expecting, but this certainly exceeded my expectations. The fried chicken appetizer was some of the crispiest, most tender chicken wings (flats) I’ve had, and the Tofu and Lamb dish with peppers and basil almost has me ordering a second round. Highly recommend!

All the dishes we ordered were delicious. The salads were very refreshing. Although I could not taste the lemongrass in the Lemongrass Pork, the meat was nevertheless tasty and not dry. Even the cocktails were good!

We just had our very first experience with Burmese food, and it absolutely blew us away! The famous tea leaf salad was so fresh, vibrant, and full of flavor, and every single dish we ordered was incredibly tasty,we couldn’t stop eating. The staff were so kind and welcoming, taking the time to explain the menu and guide us through what to try for our first Burmese meal. We’re so glad we found this place, it’s definitely our new favorite restaurant. Highly recommend to everyone!

Tasted some of their offerings at the downtown Sweater and Spirits stroll. Loved it. Decided to come back and try more. We each had a cocktail which were both very tasty. We ordered the Ginger salad, black pepper chicken, garlic pork and coconut rice. We were not disappointed!!! All were excellently prepared and filled with flavor. We will definitely be back !!!

Came here with my family this weekend. The food was delicious, our favorites being the tea leaf salad, and the various noodle dishes we ordered. But what really stood out was our waiter Adrian. He was so warm and friendly and gave good recommendations. Probably some of the best service I've had in a restaurant in a while. Will definitely be back!

A bit pricey. Masala veggie soup is delicious. Black pepper shrimp is too salty.

Good experience overall. Seated quickly. Nice staff that was attentive. Food was fresh and hot, quantities were good but could have used a little more flavor. Garlic noodles were a little on the plain side but otherwise a good experience and the Tea Lesf Salad was excellent. Spent $100 for about 5 dishes (including an extra dish to go). I would come back as they were not horribly busy for a Friday night dinner.

Ordered tea leaf salad, pork curry, chicken curry, and fried rice. Food was well prepared and tasty. Samolina pudding with mango ice cream ss dessert was delicious too. Excellent customer service. Since this was our first experience at a Burmese resaturant, server was very helpful in explaining every item on the menu. Bit pricey.

I very much enjoyed their food and tasty lunch menu options. I opted for the sesame chicken, tea leaf salad and coconut rice. The sesame chicken was quite tasty. It did feel almost like fast food due to it being so fried but it was good nonetheless. The tea leaf salad was quite interesting and fresh, I was surprised at the variety of the ingredients and was pleasantly surprised. As for the coconut rice, I was surprised when it arrived and was white (I expected a light brown color) however, it didn't retract from the very nice texture and flavor. Would recommend

This is a perfect place for vegans as well as non vegetarians. We often have difficulty identifying restaurants that serve both kinds of food as one of us is vegan and the other pescetarian. The tea leaf salad is refreshingly unique and fulfilling. The catfish curry was delicious too. However the noodles and fried rice tasted like regular Thai food. I know that cuisines are related and the same mix of spices are used but still Burmese is not Thai and food should be prepared authentic. For example only chicken khaw-suey was available and they said they can't make a vegetarian or shrimp khaw-suey. I wish they did. Server William was very good and patient.

Started off with the Samosas which are always a crowd favorite. They were good as well as the sweet chili sauce which they were paired with. Serviced seemed mainly attentive and had our drinks filled several times over our stay which suprisingly doesnt happen these days anymore. Owner came and checked on our table as well. I ordered the chicken curry while my friend got the lamb kabob. I was very happy with my meal, but i must say that his meal lacked a great deal of flavor, and when it came out, it did not look like your normal kabob plate. Overall im happy and satisfied with my dinner. Its a smaller sized restaurant and I recommend to anyone that is seeking Burmese style cuisine.

I am going here for the second time. I found that the dinner portions have become small for the price . However, the food was great. My third time here and this time for lunch. We had tea leaf salad and mango salad. Very refreshing and flavorful for a summer day. The service is very pleasant.

The service left much to be desired. Twice served by the owner/manager and his attitude towards us was unbecoming. He seemed agitated and inconvenienced by simple requests like an outside table. Following this he seemed to become more agitated by our presence. The food was very well prepared and the highlight is the tea leaf salad, unfortunately not pictured. The main dishes pictured were fantastic. While the service is not stellar, the food is.

Hmmm…. The food is just average and did not quite have the “flavor”. The egg and ladyfinger curry was their best dish which was average. We ordered several dishes and a few appetizers and none passed the test. The service was very poor. The gentleness and warmth that the Burmese are know for was missing. If you want to try Burmese food find another spot. The ambience here is very casual and cold.

My bf and I ordered the following: Crispy chicken $17.95 Platha with veggie curry dip $11.00 Veggie kebat $15.50 Burmese tempura $11.00 Samosa soup $14.50 For the price of the crispy chicken, it was such a small amount. Also not tasty. It was mainly breading with a tiny piece of chicken inside. Also disappointing that it came with only 2 pieces of broccoli. The platha curry dip also disappointing. They skimmed on the amount. The pic below shows that it’s barely even filled. Again, for the price, it was disappointing. The curry dip itself was decent. The Platha was good, we enjoyed the doughy texture. We also enjoyed the Samosa soup. Burmese tempura was basic, nothing special but decent. Veggie kebat also mediocre. I forgot to take pics of those but safe to say it’s been a few days since we’ve had it as leftovers and it’s still sitting in the fridge, neither one of us want to eat it. And we love leftovers.

The guy taking the orders has terrible attitude. Not sure if he is the owner ( didn’t act like one!!). We had a reservation and at first he totally denied that there was a reservation. Then we were seated when shown the reservation on our device. When asked about gluten free options- he kind of brushed it aside. The guy has no smile!! As for actual food- its good credit to the chef!!

Very disappointed with the food. I had high expectations from the reviews. I'm hoping this was just an off day for them. Chicken wings were not fully cooked (they are still translucent and red on the inside! ). The calamari had no seasoning although the tempura was light and crispy. The mango salad was tasty (the pea powder was a surprise in the texture). Flavors were just average. I'll hope for better next time.

Went here for dinner on a Friday night. We got seated immediately. However there were two LOUD - 12 people each - groups already in the restaurant. We let the server know, he asks what he should do. We ordered a lot of food here. For starters, the Platha and Vegetable Curry Dip, Fried Tofu, Burmese Tempura & their Samosa Soup. For the main course, we ordered their Burmese Mixed Vegetables Curry & Fiery Tofu and Vegetables. We ordered Chicken Biryani, Garlic Noodles & a couple of servings of their Coconut Rice. All their food was just okay. It had a good texture, but not much taste. The Pumpkin dish seemed like it was a warmed up readymade pumpkin puree with veggies. Chicken biryani was the only decent dish in all of the things we ordered. Definitely, not coming back here for seconds.

Long awaited time to visit this place turned out to be with the poor service and lack of customer appreciation We were the only customers at 6:30 PM on Monday evening and got the menu 10 mins after being sorted. Had to get up to ask for plates after appetizers has been served. Even know there is a pandemic, inside of the restaurant could have some order, where now it looks like a warehouse. Last week lettuce in the Tea leaf salad were a bit soggy and chickpeas we’re really teeth hazardous (meaning un-chewable at all). Burmese tempura had more deep fried dough then the veggies it should contain. The only reasonable thing was garlic noodles, that got extra star on the review, I would highly encourage you to try. Sorry, guys, there’s a big competition out there! Keep improving.

I recently dined at Experience Burmese on a weekday for a friend’s birthday dinner, a group of four adults. My wife had made the reservation, and although we were initially excited based on positive online reviews, our experience turned out to be quite the opposite. From the moment we arrived, things felt off. While other nearby restaurants were lively and packed with diners, this one was completely empty. This immediately raised concerns about whether we had made the right choice, but we decided to give it a chance. Unfortunately, our fears were quickly confirmed. The service was shockingly poor. Instead of welcoming us, the waiter and the manager were casually sitting at a corner table, chatting and barely acknowledging our presence. When we placed our order, the manager was impatient, rushing us instead of providing recommendations. He showed no effort in offering drink suggestions and even coldly refused to provide any mocktail options, which felt unnecessarily dismissive. When it came to the food, it was a letdown. While not completely inedible, it was either under-seasoned or overly sweet, lacking balance. Worse, some dishes tasted reheated rather than freshly prepared, which was disappointing for a restaurant that claims to offer an authentic dining experience. The most frustrating moment came at the end of the meal when it was time to settle the check. Since my wife had organized the dinner, I planned to pay. However, when my friend courteously offered his card first, I immediately informed the manager that I wanted to use mine instead. Despite my clear request, he went ahead and swiped my friend’s card anyway, leading to an awkward and embarrassing situation. It was a level of incompetence that summed up the entire experience. Overall, Experience Burmese was an absolute disappointment. From poor service and unwelcoming staff to mediocre food and an awkward payment situation, this was far from the enjoyable dinner we had hoped for. I would strongly recommend avoiding this place and spending your money elsewhere.

The service was so bad I would never go back to this place again. Not to mention, the food tasted like it had been sitting out for hours or frozen and microwaved before being served. I typically love Burmese cuisine but I was so disappointed.
