Excellent Italian restaurant in the heart of downtown. Food always lives up to the expectations. Service is excellent: they make you feel welcome and special. Kitchen is usually very quick. Parking is in a lot behind the restaurant, or on street. A must-visit; you will return time and again.
After seeing that Locanda ranked 5th best Neopolitan pizza in the world in 2025, I simply had to try. I’m not hyping it up to say that it’s simply the best pizza I’ve ever had. The dough. The cook. The sauce. The oil. The MOZZ. Every detail. Was perfection and I don’t say that lightly. GO EXPERIENCE IT FOR YOURSELF!
Love this place! 🇮🇹 Best Italian option around — reminds me of being right back in Italy. The flavors, the vibe, everything feels so authentic. Fresh ingredients, cozy atmosphere… you can taste the love in every bite. 🍝❤️ Highly recommend if you're craving real Italian food! #ItalianVibes #LocalGem #TastesLikeItaly #FoodieFav
Great drinks and amazing food. The desserts were delicious too. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful in choosing the best dishes from the menu.
I recently dined at Locanda Amalfi, and it was a fantastic experience. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with rustic decor and soft lighting that made the space feel cozy. The service was attentive and friendly. Overall, Locanda Amalfi delivered Italian cuisine with a twist of California fusion and excellent service. Highly recommend it for a date night or family dinner!
Family-friendly Amalfi consistently delivers delicious Italian fare. From vegetarian pizzas to gnocchi and cheese ravioli, everyone finds something to savor. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with fast and friendly service. Even the kids enjoy it! Don't miss their expertly crafted cocktails, like the lemon cello and Amalfi spritz.
We went here for our anniversary. Loved the ambiance. It's small and cute. Service was exceptional. Our server had his italian accent added perfect touch to the ambiance and food that we ordered :) Yummy drinks, great food. Everything was finger licking tasty. Definitely recommend!
Loved it! Very quaint and fun! The owner was very friendly and filled my glass of wine to the brim! 😀 The food was oh so good! The portions were generous, and the service was excellent. I felt as though my friends and family were the only guests. I highly recommend this restaurant. Pricy, but well worth it!
Hanna made it happen - Hanna was the hostess at the restaurant this evening with the amazing personality and she made our dinner such a memorable experience. Thank you 🙏 rockstar Hanna. The food was definitely good too.
We were a party of 12. We ordered appetizers- octopus, rice ball, entres - gnocchi , lobster with ravioli, bolognese, pizza followed by varies cakes. Everything was delicious! Service was attentive. Really nice dining experience.
Had a wonderful Sunday brunch at Lokanda Amalfi with close friends. The grilled salmon was cooked to perfection, the gnocchi was deliciously tender, and the beet salad was amazing—fresh and flavorful. The food and atmosphere made for a great dining experience. Highly recommend for a brunch spot!

We had a great time at Amalfi late on a Saturday night in August. Plenty of outdoor seating, fast and very friendly service and delicious plates. The truffle gnocchi, truffle pizza and linguini carbonates were fabulous and our preschooler loved his pasta with butter and parmesan. Great appetizers too.
Great experience. Great food. Will be going back! First time for my wife and I and we loved it. Our orders were filled quickly and there was always aa staff member there for any additional need. We had the Daniele pizza and ravioli. For drinks I had a barrel aged gin negroni and my wife an aperol spritz.
Food was okay but gave it higher rating because of service and atmosphere. We ordered focaccia bread, pizza San Daniele, Vesuvio, gnocchi al tartufo, panzarotti al porcini, and the tiramisu. Liked the focaccia and truffle gnocchi the most. None of the dishes has much flavor for me. Our waiter Enzo was really great, checked in frequently and anticipated well.
Food was really good. The Penne Allá Vodka was really tasty. I would go back!

Had lunch here mid week. Great place for a group or couple for lunch. Service was attentive and professional. Fine selection of vegetarian options and great desserts. Nice drink menu with craft cocktails and Italian wines. A little pricey for lunch but good for a special occasion. A little loud inside when the place fills up.
We were here to celebrate my son's birthday. We had already made a reservation so it was easier to get seated as soon as we reached the restaurant. The server was really very nice and patient with our order. I ordered the Molo Beverello cocktail and my husband got the Old Fashion and others got Coco cola. We ordered appetizers to go with our drinks, Fritto mito which is deep fried Monterey calamari tiger prawns with chef's capri sauce, pane and olives which is homemade bread with taggiasca olive spread. Our main course was brasato - short ribs, ravioli di argagosta, pizza and lamb chops. The food was okay, didn't feel anything great but the service was great. The ambience is good and the interiors have vibrant colors. They do have outside seating as well but that evening it was raining hence the inside seemed a bit crowded and cramped. We ordered their special dessert which is mostly small donuts with Nutella. Overall, it's good to try once.
Cute little restaurant in downtown Pleasanton. Staff were friendly and attentive. Seating options both inside and out. The ambience was cozy and relaxing. Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing. The stuffed zucchini blossoms had crust that was too thick and were very greasy. The bolognese tasted like it came out of a can. The margarita pizza sauce lacked flavor, had too much cheese and the crust was soggy. The best part of the pizza was the fresh basil.
The place and ambience were good. But the service is not so great. Except for the person who took our order, others were pretty serious. When they had to fill water, they pushed us aside and filled the glass and left. The person who took our order was very nice though. Food was ok. We liked brussel sprouts very much. The focaccia bread was good. But spaghetti gave some weird oil smell. Other dishes like rice balls and gnocchi are good.
Had come here with high hopes, but was very disappointed. We came here on a Friday evening with a reservation. We were seated on the patio. We asked for the host to get us another space heater because it was super cold that night, but they said they didn't have any more and forced 4 tables in the corner to share one. Since we were seated on the corner of the patio, service was EXTREMELY slow. It was very difficult to get the servers attention as well because there was no direct line of sight for that to happen. Our service experience didn't really improve from there either because the server seemed not at all interested in doing his job - we called him a couple of times when he was attending neighboring tables, and he said he would come back, but never did. The server also forgot to put in an order for one thing that we had ordered, to the point that we had to cancel the item at the end of our meal as it was never served to us. We ordered the Arancini, the Ravioli & a Pizza (Capricciosa, without meat). The Arancini was the best dish of the day, with good flavour & texture, while the Pizza was the worst by a huge margin - floppy in the middle because it was very soggy because of the sauce and veggies on pizza. The food, all in all, was average at best (may be they were having a bad day) & I expected a lot more from a restaurant that trends more towards being a fine dine Italian restaurant than a casual eatery. Don't think I would come back here again.

Was one of our favorite spots, sadly after this last visit it won’t be anymore. We came in for lunch, they had their lunch menu + prices posted outside the restaurant but because this happened to be the day before Valentine’s Day, they sat us with a separate Valentines menu that had a $2 markup on each item vs what they had posted in front of the restaurant. Also service was poor from what we have been used to, sat for a long time before drinks were asked for and again for orders to be taken. They now also charge $5 for the bread they used to set on the table complementary?? Left feeling nickel and dimed with subpar service to boot. Food is still good but they won’t be getting much more of our business.
I visited with my kids to try their famous Margherita pizza. The pizza lived up to its reputation, but unfortunately the service was below average. Because of the overall experience, I probably won’t be visiting again.
I was surprised to get a very weird experience. The first time we came everything was amazing, the service and the food, and this was not during rush hour. The second time we came for dinner and got disappointed, the server we had was very unenthusiastic and i think he was even could be the owner, and the dishes were made very badly. They were made so badly that an average person could do better. Even more, they used old mozzarella and the bruschetta was clearly sitting there for a while. Very basic stuff to do. I can only say that it depends on the day. There is so much wasted potential here, hopefully a change of management occurs.
This was possibly the worst dinner I have experienced in a very long time. Table of 6 and only 1 of the meals did someone indicate was very good. My order, one of the fettuccini specials, was sent back. The king crab was fishy, noodles crunchy and the amount of salt on the dish was very overpowering. Asked to exchange the fettuccini for an order of bolognese to go. Picture below is what was prepared. It was an appetizer serving. 4 bites total. I called the manager and the response I got was “oh”. No I am sorry for your poor experience, the food was not quality…nothing. Very disappointing. Only hoping that other Locanda sites are not suffering the same fate.
