Opinions de Pairings Wine Bar & Restaurant Pleasanton
What a great find! The wine bar (and more) has beautiful space to sit outdoors or inside. The wine menu is strong but also cocktails and beer menu is thoughtful. I had the pan seared salmon which was excellent but tried a bite of the Bolognese and it was hearty and delish! I hear the chicken wings are amazing and that's my jam, so I'm going back soon to try!
Great food and huge selection of beer. Definitely the new spot in pleasanton. Owner is very friendly and takes care of all the customers. Very nice atmosphere. Definitely will be back to try some of the other dishes.
We dined here for the first time tonight. I have so many nice things say… the decor is welcoming and beautiful; the jagerschnitzel was absolutely delicious. Ihsan provided great service. Very kind, attentive and professional. We cannot wait to come back with our friends.
Fabulous new addition to downtown Pleasanton. Great ambiance and even better food! Cocktail menu is extensive, as is their German/ European beer list. A must try, will definitely be retuning!
Charming old world atmosphere with small table lamps. The service was good, accurate, excellent with changing out plates and cutlery between courses. A tad tentative when interacting with the customers, but they're still new. Absolutely mo complaints about the food. The starter bread was great. The soup of the day was a garlic soup - creamy garlicky flavor with chili oil swirl, and pretzel bits for crunch. I'd never had something like this. It was fabulous, silky smooth. The entrées were all good. We had Kraut Rouladen, Jager Schnitzel and a pork classic Wienerschnitzel. Spätzle was served as a side. Super good. Meats were all tender and flavorful. Tiny suggestion (that I informed the owner about) - because the serving plates are thin, the temperature of the thin schnitzels cooled down a little too fast. So maybe heating the plates ahead of serving would be a good idea, to help keep the meats warm. We finished with the Salzburger Nockerl - wow! Light and puffy soufflé with ice cream and blueberries. One of our group is German heritage and she said the food was better than some she'd had back in Austria. High praise! Excellent addition to the downtown Pleasanton dining scene.
Amazing service and delicious food. Great bar with wide variety of top shelf liquor.
Great little place! Sometimes they have Hungarian dishes and they are wonderful!
Amazing food, absolutely perfect, especially the veal schnitzel. Great selection of liquor and beer. Staff is delightful. Extremely clean and inviting atmosphere.
Saw this place as highly recommended on Yelp and the reviews did not disappoint. The food was on point and very unique, you can't go wrong with any of their dishes. Cocktail selection was also cool, I got the Smokey Mule as an in-house creation from the bartender Danny (made with mezcal). Would definitely come back again!
We love this place! I lived in Hungary for two years and the food brought back so many memories! Austrians would say the same. My Wienerschnitzel was piled so high that I was overwhelmed! We will be back.
Elegant atmosphere, subtle live music, impeccable service and delicious food. It was our first visit tonight and won’t be the last. A little pricey, but for Pleasanton and this level of quality, it was worth it.
This exquisite Austrian restaurant offers an unparalleled dining experience that will captivate you in every aspect. Our server, Joseph was exceptional.
We loved our whole dinner, from drinks to our meal everything was great. Both managers working were friendly and checked in, and even after assuring them I wasn’t bothered with the sun being on me in my seat they did everything they could to block it for the short time before it went down. I wished I ordered a salad because I saw one go by and it looked great. The decor is fun and the staff went above and beyond I could tell they were still getting used to a busy service, but have no doubt they will be operating very smoothly soon.
One of the better kept secrets in the Pleasanton California restaurant row. Service was super friendly and generous and fast. Food quality was extremely high for what would be considered extremely low prices for the Bay area. This is definitely one of the best bargains for fine dining you will find anywhere in the Bay area. Excellent traditional German food with a nice modern twist. I highly recommend this restaurant and parking with super easy to find.
Great cocktails and German inspired menu. We ate there on a cold evening and this was the perfect warming meal for such a night. It reminded us of our meals when traveling in Germany and Austria. They have a great cocktail & wine list and a beautiful bar and restaurant space. The service was very inviting and friendly and we had a really enjoyable experience.
Perfect date spot! Came here for dessert with my boyfriend, and our server told us that all four desserts are homemade. We decided on the Salzburger Nockerol Vanilla Soufflé, and it was AMAZING! The ambiance of the entire restaurant was peaceful and inviting. I am looking forward to coming back. Wonderful experience ⭐️
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Amazing Experience! We had such a wonderful time at Naschmarkt in Pleasanton! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality. Danny, our server, was incredibly kind, attentive, and made our dining experience truly memorable. A huge thank you also to Ismail, the owner, who came by to check on us and made us feel right at home — such a gracious and passionate host! As for the food — wow! We loved the chicken schnitzel sandwich, perfectly crispy and full of flavor. The sausage triowas a highlight as well, with each sausage offering a unique and delicious taste of Austria. And the goulash (or “ghoulish” as we happily called it!) was rich, comforting, and absolutely soul-satisfying. We left full, happy, and already talking about our next visit. So amazing. Can’t wait to come back
We were so excited to try this new Austrian restaurant! Very unique to Pleasanton. My friends had the salmon, and the Beef Hungarian goulash. I'm getting the delicious goulash next time! I had the eggs Benedict. It had a little kick to the Austrian sauce and was so yummy! My husband had the fish tar tar and loved it. We also shared the Brie and apricot egg rolls! I will crave those forever! It was so nice to sit outside. They have a full bar inside and the decor is very beautiful and classy. We talked with the owner and the manager. We've met them before and are very friendly.
RAVE for Naschmarkt Pleasanton! The warm and elegant atmosphere. Our waitress was friendly and punctual. The beer, wine and cocktail options are quite wide. We tried Pineapple Express Coctail, the classic Wiener Schnitzel, Homemade Pretzel, Spatzle, Grilled Sturgeon. The meals were great and a great restaurant in every detail in Downtown. Definitely recommend it!
A refreshingly unique menu. We had rouladen and jager scnhitzel. Both were excellent!
Finally an Austrian restaurant in the Tri-Valley! Very good food & drinks, almost-authentic Austrian taste (we had the Wiener Schnitzel and the Goulash),good service and nice atmosphere (even when very tightly packed and music on the loud side, still possible to have conversation). Not cheap, but as expected based on prices at their Campbell location and various Bay Area German restaurants.
We had dinner last night at this new location and the food and service were fantastic. We had previously attended the Campbell location, and are so happy to have a Pleasanton location for one of our favorite restaurants. Our waiter, John, was very attentive, but not intrusive. The manger and owner came by to make sure everything was ok. It was a great meal and beautiful environment. The drink menu was extensive and delicious. I would recommend the Barrel aged old fashion. The apple strudel was Devine. We will definitely be returning.

Delicous food, Beautiful atmosphere. Great service! Just fancy enough, without being stuffy. Try the The schnitzel with lingonberry sauce and the sorbet trio omg Soooo good.
Wonderful restaurant in the heart of downtown Pleasanton! Delicious food, beautiful ambience and great service. This is one of my new favorite places to dine!
After over 30 years, our local czech place (DJ's Bistro in Concord) closed, so we took a longish drive to Pleasanton (45 min each way) to Naschmarkt. We love good eastern European/German food and given the long drive, we tried a lot of things and took a bunch home. The sausage plate was great with three big sausages, mustard, fantastic potatoes with cucumber and dill, sauerkraut, and red cabage. It was worth the drive just for this sausage plate and pilsner. We did not love the sausage of the day (an English banner with a bit too much bread in it) and will substitute it next time. The arugula and beet salad was wonderful, with generous, perfectly roasted, beets and a well balanced dressing with a good feta. The jägerschnitzel (unbreaded schnitzel with rich mushroom gravy) was fantastic. I got the pork version (they also have veal) and asked for it with spaetzle and sauerkraut. The jägerschnitzel had lots of flavor and there was delicious gravy with plenty of mushrooms. We LOVE good spaetzle and this was among the very best – soft and flavorful, absorbing the gravy perfectly. They have a full bar with interesting cocktails along with great beers (including dark and pilsner) and wines including Rieslings (a few wonderfully dry). The apple strudel was good, with excellent ice cream (but my Hungarian grandma would not call it “strudel” – it was spiced apple in a puff pastry shell, which was good, but is not “strudel” which has many thin layers of puff pastry and spiced apple). The Fiaker=Double espresso with cherry brandy & whipped cream was perfect. We are looking forward to going back soon.
Wonderful experience - top-notch cooking. Naschmarkt blends authentic Austrian food with the perfect amount of fusion for an overwhelming experience. Yes, the food is not free - good food takes time, effort - but when you taste that Jaegerschnitzel, you'll know where your $$ went. The entrees, desserts are delicious - I enjoyed the SALZBURGER NOCKERL - lightest vanilla souffle I've ever tasted. Wonderful service, our server knew what we were looking for and exactly how to give us the best experience.

I went here for drinks on a weekend afternoon as soon as they opened. It was empty so they let us pick any table. I ordered the rose flight. They had run out of the 3rd selection and let me choose what I wanted to replace it with, but I let them add whatever they recommended. I ended up with a pinot that was pretty good. I ordered several appetizers, the shrimp, the crostini trio, and the bacon wrapped dates. All were incredibly amazing and I would order them all again. The only negative was part of the service. There were probably 2 other tables full at the most the entire time I was there, which was about 2 hours, and the food still took a ridiculously long time and the waitress stayed scarce.
Very nice ambiance with live music on weekends and the food n wine options were good. Would certainly recommend this place Tried wine flights and choice of wine is in us but ones we tried were ok Bacon wrapped Dates were awesome and my Mvp . Loved the idea Firecracker chicken is good Fried ravioli is ok Shrimp n chicken tacos were good There is parking on the rear side but Parking can be challenging on weekends. Go have fun
Four of us enjoyed a delicious dinner, we loved the upscale atmosphere, every detail was perfection..Staff and especially Renee Lopez will keep us coming back.Thank you
Great selection of appetizers, drinks and entrees. Very extensive menu. Enjoyed the appetizer plate of 3 ample sausages, beet salad with goat cheese, mixed greens salad with caramelized nuts and cheese, and the deconstructed pot pie (Phyllo, dough on top). All 4 in our party loved the dining ecperience.
Came through to Pleasanton to visit my German cousin and we stumbled across this nice little Austrian restaurant. He hadn’t been to downtown in a while and this was a nice surprise for him as he didn’t know this place existed. The inside was nicely decorated and was a good looking bar. The seating was a little bit crammed as there were a lot of small tables inside. The food was on point and really hit home. I especially liked the spicy bratwurst as it was a lot spicier than I was expecting for a European style sausage. It was a pleasant surprise. What was strange to us was both servers available did not seem to comprehend what we were ordering each time. We pronounced the food and beer names as they would be in German and they had no clue what we were referring to until we pointed. One even asked us if we were sure the restaurant had the item we requested even though we were literally reading off the menu. It seems like the staff could use some additional refresher training. Other than that, it was a cool spot for some Austrian/German food and drinks. We’ll be sure to visit again.
Decent food and drinks. The appetizer portions for the happy hour are small so only plan to share between 2 people. Otherwise I like it for a chill vibe. I got the burger and fries and they were decent.
Perfect place for a date night. We went there Saturday night, they had live music. It was so much fun! The live music ended at 9 (we got there at 8) so it’s a good combination of music and some quiet after 9! We ordered a bottle of Malbec and the firecracker chicken. It was a perfect portion to snack on. We didn’t stay for dinner but we’ll definitely going back to eat soon.

This is a lovely spot. The food varies in quality and is overpriced. Some dishes we tried were quite good, though.
Saw this place and the reviews so we decided to try it. Never tried Austrian food. Ordered recommendations by the waiter. Restaurant did everything correctly. Service was better than average and the place was clean and orderly. It may have been our palette and it is very new to Austrian cuisine. Instead of tasting different flavors in every bite, it was more of a stew or covered with sauce. Would it be our go to, probably not but it deserves another chance. Since it was our first time to experience Austrian food, we also need to expand our worldly palettes. Total for everything was ~$250 (1 soup, 1 appetizer, 4 main dish, no dessert, 20% tip, no wine, 1 soda)
Creative Austrian cuisine; the goulash & schnitzel are highly recommended. They also make a first class strudel. Service was excellent.

The restaurant was empty in between lunch and dinner. We were hoping for the fast service. It was an extremely slow time serving at least 40 min. And the beef in the burger was the driest ever. The chef should pay attention to make sure the meat is chopped together with onion to make it juicier and more flavorful. Also the yellow American cheese, really guys, the cheapest cheese? Also the spatzle it is not the mac an cheese - way too much cheese. The spatzle usually goes with butter not cheese. Sorry but In my opinion it was a waste of money.

This is not Austrian food. This is American with an Austrian flare. On top of it, not that good at all. I love good food and I will never go back. It looks pretty and that is it.
We have two ppl spent >$100. Pretzel is dry. Food tastes like reheated from microwave. Not sure because of new year period but I won’t give another try.
