Quality ingredients. I had a carnitas taco and a barbacoa taco with a horchata. The tacos were smaller than what I usually get at Two Amigos (my benchmark) but the quality of the meats was excellent. The horchata was also better filtered (smooth) and the chips fresher. Only the green sauce was so-so: a bit bitter, and didn't appear as fresh. The bill came out to $7.92, a bit more than at Two Amigos. I'll definitely be back to try their shrimp, chimichangas, chile relleno, tostada's, flautas, and breakfast plates (even the Mojarra Frita looks like it's worth a try) - menu is extensive for a small kitchen.

Friendly staff and good food. I enjoyed the salsa and chip bar. The burrito was a little saltier than I preferred, but I did like the burrito overall. Outdoor seating and nice staff.

This place is a gem! You simply can’t go wrong with their menu. So many options: tacos, tortas, carnitas, flautas, soups…. No matter what you try, the food is always delicious! An absolute favorite for our family. Friendly staff and they are super accommodating when visiting with kids and small groups. Try caldo de pollo if you are feeling down. You will feel better in a jiffy! The mojarra frita is simply amazing, so make sure to give it a try!

The cashier was kind and nice and very helpful. Will 100% be coming back! The only thing that I wish was better though was the price. 17$ for a burrito is a little crazy but if you want to pay, definitely worth it!

I ordered Pozole to-go (Tue Nov 12, 2024). It was delicious!! However, too spicy for me. It comes with diced onions, chopped radishes and shredded lettuce. I wish they would switch out the lettuce for cabbage as the lettuce wilts in the hot soup. I had Pozole from here last year, it was not spicy. Overall I recommend the Pozole if you like it spicy.

The chucky red "possibly Medium" (no labels) is very delicious and complimented my breakfast burrito nicely.

Unlucky for her they were out of bread haha I got a super quesadilla with pollo asado and 2 tacos barbacoa and Al pastor. Was pretty good. Very tasty chips and salsa was good too. Horchata was good too! She liked the cheese enchiladas.

I had a business meeting today in Pleasanton. I came from Santa Cruz and the other person from Sacramento. We met somewhat half way. He mentioned he likes Chiles Rellenos. After looking for restaurants that had Chile’s Rellenos, I chose to meet at Taqueria Don Chepe. The Chile Relleno was covered with a red sauce and was very tasty. The refried beans had a unique taste of their own. The salsa bar has several sauces. I tried two and was not disappointed. The table next to us had tacos. The tacos looked delicious with plenty of meet. Nothing fancy but very clean and friendly personnel. If you are looking for authentic Mexican food, give Don Chepe a try

The meat was a bit chewy and cut into strips, and the rice was bright orange. The only thing that helped this meal was the salsas they had. Overall, if you're looking for quantity over quality, this spot might be for you.
