Opinions de Strizzi's Pleasanton
I had the pesto chicken sandwich n wagyu burger both were very delicious well cooked. Prices are good.My Apple salad was very delicious especially the chicken I added was super good.
The food was great service was awesome.
Our favorite dinner place! Great fish , pasta and grilled chicken. If you go early before 6 you get a free good size salad. Apple walnut is my new favorite. Great servers as well Dolores is my favorite!
The food was tasty. Better than last time I visited a few years ago. We went for dinner and I ordered the seafood fettuccine. Plenty of sauce and the prawns and scallops are cooked perfectly. The table we sit at was wobbly so we had to move to different one. Overall it was a pleasant experience.
Adrian was excellent. I brought my tour group in for lunch on our way from Yosemite to San Francisco. We didn’t have a lot of time and Adrian got everything ordered and the food out to the hungry travelers quickly and professionally. He was very upbeat and friendly. The food was excellent also, but it was the service that makes you want to come back
AMAZING! I had a last-minute catering request, and Lillian ensured my luncheon went off like a 5-star event!! Katie arrived on time, was very personable and professional, set everything up as requested, and amazingly presented the buffet of deliciousness! The food was so AMAZING!! I ordered the Fuji Walnut salad, which I highly recommend. For the pasta dishes, I ordered the cheese ravioli, which was the favorite, and no leftovers. My second choice was the Italian Sausage penne, another hit. And lastly, the boss's favorite, Chicken Pesto & Pine Nuts.. So Yummy! We went the extra mile and added the Wood Grilled Chicken as the entree, and I was glad I ordered two pans. Overall the service and food was 5 stars all the way!!
The delicious scent of garlic perfumed the air at Strizzi’s. The service was outstanding while I watched the locals relax on this Friday evening on the corner of Main Street. Strizzis’ wood-fired fish preparation sounded appealing, but I was in the mood for some plump little gnocchi pillows and some beef tips. They were most accommodating. You won’t want to miss this restaurant in Pleasanton.
Food is usually good. I pass on the potatoes or pasta and get 2x veggies. They are very accommodating. And they offer a free salad/soup between 2-6. I liked the tomato soup, but they discontinued it along with their wedge salad. Hopefully, they will bring them back.
Exquisite Italian food fairly empty at 5 pm on a Friday. Bolognese sauce wasn’t red as we expected but it was delicious. The scallops appetizer was excellent as well
My experience at Strizzi’s was wonderful! As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with a smile and seated almost immediately. The server was very attentive and answered our questions. I went with the spaghetti and meatballs and it was delicious! The meatballs were amazing, the sauce was great, and the clam chowder was something I’d expect from New England. Will definitely come back to try their other entrees.
By far the best location. Love the team here, so friendly, with excellent specials and service. Very nice family spot and the kids meal covers all bases (drink, food, dessert!).
Excellent food, one of the best Italian places in the Bay Area. They take their time making the food, but when it comes out it is fresh and delicious. Staff is very caring - not a word I use often in restaurant reviews - e.g. bringing out little fans to the table or giving extra drinks because the glass they brought it in was too small according to them. Overall, feels like being at grandmas place. If you are not in a rush, this is one of the best places to have a meal.
Met up with some friends I have known since kindergarten, 1967. The food was great as was the service. We were there for over three hours and never felt rushed to leave. Great atmosphere and great people.
Late dinner after a long day. We arrived at 8:30 pm , they closed at 9 pm. The staff were very friendly and sat us right away. Started with some wine and bread. I ordered the special Chicken Marsala, and my wife had the Chicken Parmasian. We finished it off with some Tirumiseu. They never rushed us to leave since we were there after 9 pm. Instead, our waitress had a nice conversation with us. We appreciated a quiet atmosphere at the end of a long day. Thank you, Strizzi's. We'll be back next visit to Pleasanton.
Strizzi's Restaurant, the service is top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who are happy to recommend their favorite dishes. The food! The bread, pasta is freshly made, and the sauces are simmered to perfection. Overall, recommend Strizzi's Restaurant for anyone craving Italian cuisine. The prices are on par with other downtown restaurants and the portions are reasonable
Great service great food what more can I say. Our party of 9 had a really nice time. The owner came over to introduce himself and give us a little history which was really nice. It always has a cozy family feel dining at Strizzi. I had the shrimp and spinach risotto on their specials it's my favorite so creamy and fresh. I didn't get more photos unfortunately I was too busy having a nice time with family and friends.
We arrived shortly after 5:00 pm on a Wednesday, following a long day of travel. Service was prompt and friendly, and we were apprised of the early dinner specials. The salads were perfect, and all three pasta entrees were well seasoned and served hot. We had more than enough to bring home for a delicious lunch the next day. By the way, the cheesecake with fresh strawberries was excellent. Strizzi's was just as good as we remembered 20 years ago when we lived nearby!
Great place for a cozy family dinner…
Best meatballs I’ve had in the Bay Area. Excellent Spaghetti and red sauce as well.
My 1st time eating here and I wasn't disappointed. The waitress was AWESOME. Her recommendation of the steelhead trout was a straight win. The trout had a slight char to the skin which enhanced the flavor. The trout was well seasoned. The vegetables were cooked perfectly. The mashed potatoes were a win. Definitely a 10/10 meal.
I met my friend here for lunch to catch up. It is located in a cute area of Downtown Pleasanton. We were greeted by the host when we arrived with a friendly smile and led to our table outside since it was a beautiful day! The outside had a good amount of tables and was surprising quiet for it being next to the main road. We were seated by the door but I hardly noticed any foot traffic of people coming in and out. The server stopped by pretty quickly, dropped off bread and took our drink orders. When he came back with our drinks, I ordered Fuji apple walnut salad and the seafood fettuccine from the light dinning combo menu and my friend ordered the full size minestrone soup and the grilled shrimp cob. Our first course soup and salad were so good, I wish I would have gotten two orders so I could take one home with me. For our second course, my friend raved about her salad and I was so happy with my entree. The portions were great size and I ended up taking about half my fettuccini home and happily enjoyed for lunch the next day as well. I would definitely come back again and recommend to friends and family.
Strizzi Restaurant in Pleasanton, CA, left us thoroughly impressed. The Caesar Salad was a refreshing starter, boasting crisp greens and a tangy dressing. The Garlic Shrimp & Artichoke Linguini was a revelation, the flavors perfectly balanced. The Penne Pomodori showcased the authenticity of Italian cuisine, a delightful medley of flavors in each bite. Their wine selection added a sophisticated touch, enhancing the overall dining experience. The family-run vibe was evident not only in the inviting atmosphere but also in the attentive service, which made us feel like cherished guests. The restaurant's decor, adorned with photos, exuded a sense of tradition and heritage, giving a glimpse into the heart of the business. Strizzi's dedication to their craft shone through in every aspect. And the dessert? Oh, we shared a bread pudding with caramel sauce that was the perfect ending. The excellence of our meal continued through to this sweet treat. For those seeking genuine Italian flavors in a warm, familial setting, Strizzi is a gem. From the delectable dishes to the well-curated wine list and indulgent desserts, it's a haven for food, wine, and dessert enthusiasts alike. Our visit was a memorable one, and we're already looking forward to our next culinary journey at Strizzi.

We are returning customers for 20+ years, and Strizzi’s Pleasanton knocked it out of the park once again!!! We had them cater a birthday meal for our family and picked up the food ourselves, and everything was excellent. Raymond and his team went above and beyond to accommodate a family food allergy, even creating a custom dish so everyone could enjoy the celebration safely. The customer service was outstanding—extremely friendly, attentive, and accommodating from start to finish. The food was hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious, and every guest loved it. Another fantastic experience, and we will definitely be back. Highly recommend!
I’m giving this place five stars purely because the service was absolutely phenomenal. From the moment I walked in, My server Sydney made me feel genuinely welcomed and taken care of. She was attentive without being overbearing, quick to help with anything I needed, and consistently friendly throughout the entire visit. While the food itself could definitely be better — a bit more seasoning and refinement would go a long way — the level of hospitality more than made up for it. It’s rare to find a server that puts this much pride into treating guests well. If you value top-tier service, this is a spot worth visiting. With a few improvements to the menu, this restaurant could easily become a standout in every way.
We always enjoy our experience here, but this review is for the party platter. I placed the order when the restaurant opened for our sports team, scheduled a pickup at 3pm, and had a wonderful experience. The food was ready on time and the team loved the meal. I'll definitely repeat the order for spaghetti and salad for future events. If you give it a try, just know the party platter with lasagna has to be ordered 24hrs in advance.
We had a fantastic experience at Strizzi's last evening. Our server Dolores was outstanding. The owner's son Mr Ray also dropped in to check on us and we had a lovely conversation about tiramisu. The food and dessert were delicious. We'll definitely be back again 🙂
Kelly was absolutely AMAZING!! The food was DELICIOUS, but Kelly took the whole experience and evening to another level!! Great service, accommodations, all while 2 major 25+ person parties were having dinner on a Saturday night! Thank you for making our birthday event so special and memorable!!
Delicious Italian food - family friendly! Authentic Italian dishes prepared with fresh ingredients and the family recipes where you can taste the love . You will taste the difference. We will be back!
The service here is incredible. They took very good care of us. They really care about you and take the time to make anything right if it’s not perfect. I appreciate this kind of service especially in the world we live in today. It’s a lasting impression and you’re always remembered for that.

Food was great. Bread was fresh. Wine list was limited but good. Prices seemed a tad steep but if you feel like a leisurely dinner with good friends this is a good place to go. Fifth star if the prices had been more reasonable. Overall good place, our server Kristy was excellent
Very nice cozy restaurant with friendly staff. We had wague burger and they tasted great.
Overall, I enjoyed my experience and the staff were polite, attentive, and efficient. My wait was short and the meal delicious. My only minor qualm was that the air conditioning was a little on the cool side of the scale. Perhaps, as my siblings and I were the first patrons to arrive with the dining area empty... Still, warmer clothing was required. Then there was the ubiquitous curse of the flies. We had to change our seats farther from the front window where they were congregating, I suppose, to sun themselves.
The restaurant is in a prime location. As I walked in i noticed how large it was on the inside and they have outdoor seating as well. The manager Andre sat me at my table as I passed the smiling faces of the cooking staff on the line. I started with the Ceasar Salad and it was great and refreshing. Next I had the Pappardelle and Pancetta. Pasta was fresh, Pancetta was cooked properly. If I had to find a complaint, the sauce had too much cream. It thins the sauce and dilutes the flavor. I finished off with the Bread Pudding which was a large serving and proper way to finish the meal. Andre told me that he just got to the restaurant recently but that he has a love and passion for food. Owning and having a restaurant is about constant and consistent improvements and he seems like the right guy to do it. I recommend if youre in the mood for Italian.
Reasonably priced for an Italian restaurant. The sourdough bread was soft and freah. Overall, food was delicious and the service was great. Would definitely be back here again.

The food was delicious and the restaurant’s atmosphere was very pleasant. We went for dinner with my friends and my husband during the Dine Early hours, and we really appreciated that it included a free soup or salad option — such a nice touch. Overall, we had a great time. The only downside was that our waitress wasn’t very friendly; she was never rude, but we would have appreciated a more welcoming and attentive attitude. On the other hand, two gentlemen from the staff checked on us several times and were extremely kind and attentive. That’s why I’m giving four stars: excellent food, a lovely atmosphere, and great service from them — I just wish our waitress had made us feel a bit more welcomed.

Food was pretty good. Simple Caesar salad with fettuccini Alfredo. Hard to mess that up. Nice location. Manager came out and greeted us. Service was sub par. Server was awkward , absent, hard to describe. Then he disappeared.
Bad day at this great place. Covid means only 2 waitstaff. Means everyone serves everyone and we are ignored. To top it off the oven was not working properly when my batch of chicken Parmesan was prepped. So instead of fork-tender, I could not cut my chicken with a steak knife. I was told that the chef had already tossed one batch. I’m so disappointed in Strizzi’s today. Be sure to check when ordering an oven dish.
I am vegetarian. The minestrone soup is NOT. That was a disappointment for me cuz that's all I wanted. The rest of our party was happy with their orders, tho! Great atmosphere. We had a lovely time. We had a large group on a Saturday night and they seated us right away. Service was superb!
Strizzi's Pleasanton needs improvement. The restaurant was fairly unpopulated for lunch. They had one server. I had to flag down another one just to have our order taken. The salads were adequate. The chicken for the caesar salad was delicious. All in all the food was fine but the service was less than attentive. The restaurant was also cold.
Well our server was nice, but not competent. He brought out a burned portion of bread. Then they let 2 of our 4 orders sit up on the counter for at least 5 minutes. The sauce in the artichoke shrimp dish was seperated by the time we got it and barely warm. Then they brought us out 2 lasagnes that were burned. Wont be going back. Mind you only 3 other tables occuppied. No excuse for that.

The restaurant is really nice as well as the atmosphere but I called ahead because of my gluten allergy and they said they had some gluten free options and she told me they are careful about cross contamination but when I got there with my party then the waitress said that the chicken was not gf even though it was label on the menu as gf and they had a pasta that was gf and they made me a sauce but I don't know what happened because now I'm sick because of the food. I won't be going there again.
Most recently: This is a 3 star restaurant in my opinion. The service was okay, but they missed our reservation, and the servers said nothing about the specials or knew anything about their wines. They were friendly but did not go out of their way to make it a great experience. The cheese ravioli and lasagna we ordered was not the greatest and the bread we got as appetizers was mediocre quality. Where they lost the 3rd star in my opinion was their bathrooms. They were the dirtiest public bathroom I've seen in a few years. Smelled awful and has a "mess" all over the floor. Bummer that this last experience was such a let down from my previous experiences before covid. 2 years ago: Food is good, however there is not much choice. You must love pasta! The restaurant is cozy and gives off a good vibe. With a max seating occupancy of only 60, it luckily doesn't get too crowded. The servers are friendly and personal. I had a good time eating here :)
Usually I don't write commons, however I ordered a regular-sized lasagna, but it was the same size as half a portion from the combos meal, also whoever made the lasagna put in way too much salt, I had to rinse my mouth several times. Who could eat something so salty? A super small bowl of clam chowder cost $13, if you go to Sam's Chowder House, you can get a large bread bowl with the clam chowder for $15.95, and they're much more famous. Overall, the food at this restaurant was too salty, overpriced, and the portions were far too small for dinner.
