Great experience. Not very big location get there early
The acts they book are phenomenal, food is pretty good especially the potato skins. Drinks are very well balanced, they have an excellent staff. I was very impressed
Had a great time and the drinks were strong. Went to see TK Kirkland
Thought it was a great experience! We saw Tony Woods tonight. Waiters were great, everything came as ordered and relatively quick. Headliners were funny, Tony was great. There definitely is some seating there that might be difficult to see the stage, so I recommend getting there when the doors open if you didn't reserve a table.
Had a great time. We will be back
The most popular Bay Area comedy club!! All of the most popular comedians give shows at this club. Seating can get to be a little “tight” but the talent makes up for it!!
Service and the show was wonderful well return.
Really chill adult spot. It was very clean and cozy, they had great security to seat you, as well as to monitor things. The food and drinks were worth every penny. They have good portion sizes for your money I'll definitely be returning thank you for a great night!! Now if your a non- tipper don't come here, because it's mandatory that you order 2 menu items, and they make you pay a 15% tip whether you want to, or not😂🤣! But like I said the tickets aren't much it was the perfect date night!
I had an incredible time! Mojo Brooks had me laughing uncontrollably with his hilarious jokes and entertaining stories. His comedic timing was spot-on, and each punchline just added to the overall fun of the experience. Every moment spent with him was filled with laughter and joy. I hope he comes back soon.
Want a quick great night out for laughs with your boo Tommy T's is the place for you
Always a good time, hilarious comics, strong drinks, and Christy is an excellent server.
Every time I come Tommy T's I have a great time. Monique was very unique I must say the therapist was in the house pulling cards and taking names. Continue to be blessed. The food and drinks were great and reasonbly priced. I bring different people every time I visit and they always love the place.
Have been to this comedy spot several times, this recent venture was just as hilarious my wife and I saw Kountry Wayne, he called it a cafeteria with a porch an ideal name for this spot. Regardless they have decent food, I normally get the wings and this time my wife go the salmon caesar salad. Various comedians visit this little corner spot in Pleasanton as it normally draws a crowd.
Cute little venue! Attended Girl's night out, The Show! Had fun for my birthday! Highly recommend to visit this spot!
It’s a nice place. Not sure if it’s an everyday thing, but the night I went to a comedy show to see Lewis Belt (Great show, BTW), I was seated separate from my group. (Just a heads up) otherwise, I would recommend this place!
Went specifically to go see Tony Baker with a friend. Long story short, I got stood up🥲, BUT the management, there was nice enough to at least let me exchange one of the tickets for a later show.So that way, the fifty dollars wouldn't go to waste. So outside the excellent customer service, the venue is really nice. The food was pretty tasty. The waiter gave some excellent recommendations for the drinks. And I laughed the entire time that Tony was on stage.
My experience is always great - im like family here
I Have Seen Several Comics At Tommy T's, And Every Show Was Truly Amazing.
If laughter is the best medicine, Tommy T's Comedy Club is the pharmacy, and Tony Roberts is the head pharmacist! This venue is an absolute gem for comedy lovers. It’s cozy, well-organized, and the perfect setting for a night of hilarity. Tony Roberts? A comedic force of nature. He is the consummate professional—his timing, delivery, and sheer presence had the entire crowd in stitches from start to finish. You could feel the energy in the room shift to pure joy every time he hit the mic. The man doesn’t just tell jokes; he orchestrates an uproarious symphony of laughter. The crowd was completely hooked, myself included. By the end of the night, my cheeks hurt from laughing so hard—a small price to pay for such a phenomenal experience. If you’re ever debating a night out, head to Tommy T's, and if Tony Roberts is on the bill, don’t walk—run to get VIP tickets. Comedy gold!
Love this venue and will be back soon!
Organized, drinks and food are good and staff is very efficient.
Was here for Quinn Dale twice. Both were great shows. The whole line-up was hilarious. This place has good food and great drinks.
Had so much fun watching Quinn Dale. The seats were great, the food was good, and the drinks were cold. 🙂
went to see Simore she was outstanding tables were a bit small four people and they really packed you in there would I return yes
Nice place, employees are friendly, good service. Very familiar. I like that place
Took my husband to Tommy T’s for a much needed date night after being homebound with a new baby the past 6 months and I’m glad I did. We had a great time and it wasn’t as bad as some of the reviews made it out to be. We purchased tickets to see Desi Bank at 9:40pm online; be sure to read the disclosure before purchasing. In order to receive your ticket(s), you must present both the card used for purchase, along with a government issued ID with matching name to card used at the ‘will call’ ticket area. We arrived at 9 pm and there were plenty of parking, so no need for VIP parking (which costs $40, this is also listed on the website). We went up to the ‘will call’ ticket area and presented the cards and got our tickets and was seated right away. They have someone seat you, you don’t get to choose your own seating. Our server, Stephanie, greeted us right away and took our orders. She was great and super attentive even though it was super busy. The site states that we need to order a minimum of 2 items per guest, but we ordered just three items and was not pushed to order a 4th. A card is required to be put on tab, and the server lets you review the check before closing it out. Note that there is a 15% gratuity added on the check. The show itself was great. Started at 10:20 instead of 9:40 though and there were two opening acts (Mario Hodge & Detroit Reid) before Desi Bank took the stage. The show was about 1.5 hours long. Word of advice, don’t sit in front or on left side because you will be targeted and be made fun of. Overall, we had a great time and will definitely be back for future shows!
We went to see Gary Owen. Highly recommend! Both highly recommend, him as a hilarious comedian and Tommy T's as a great venue. I didn't research that they served food there, so we got some beforehand. This was probably a mistake as every dish they brought to the patrons sitting near us looked fantastic, and there wasn't much left on their plates afterwards. The wait staff was top notch; attentive, polite and precise, even though it was a full house.
Fun place to go when you need a good laugh. They have quite abit of big names comedians performing here. The last one that we went to see was George Lopez. Of coarse, the whole place was packed and sold out. Everybody had a good laugh and some belly ache after laughing so hard the whole time. They have 2 showings everytime, its 6:30 and 9:45. I suggest if your the type who won't do too well with obnoxious people, you should try to go on the earlier show. The 9:45 crowd could get annoying at times. Some people already had few drinkings before going there, and they could get hella annoying throughout the show. One time we were seated close to this group, and you can tell one of the guys had too much to drink already. He was laughing obnoxiously even if the joke wasn't over yet. At one point he knocked down a bottle and break it. The crowd was annoyed and some yelled "kick him out". He definitely ruined that night for me. So just a heads up, you will be dealing with those kinda people on a later show. But overall, this place is worth going. You pay less money to see big comedians without going to far. Food and drinks were good.
A great place for comedy or male review show. A great staff and easy parking
Great venue for comedy, food & drinks. Just don't be sat on the same table as a loud drunk person who thinks stand-up is a participation sport.
I saw comedian Quinn Dale Tonight and it was the best comedy show ive been to. loved the atmosphere and the staff were amazing! 2 thumbs up
Great venue for a comedy show. Food and drinks were great! The comedian was fantastic! Probably seats about 200. Two floors.
I took a 3hr drive to see Mike Epps and was not disappointed . Tommy T's is a nice cozy clean venue. Welcoming pleasant atmosphere and service was good! There was only one thing that was disappointing for me.... I ordered a full size green salad (the dark green leaves) with chicken and a bottle water. The chicken was thinly sliced. I wasn't expecting a whole chicken breast on top of my salad but not skimpy either...I wasn't expecting to leave feeling hungry after paying restaurant pricing. I'll visit again but will make sure to have dinner first.
They be running that air conditioner but other than that peace is chill, customer service is great, food is good, and the comedian kept the laughs coming.
Good comedy place, it had been a while since I'd been there but recently returned and we had a very enjoyable time. Mike, Epps was great that night. Food & drinks were good too.I will definitely go back for a positive experience. It was great to see the owner Gayle again. She is very nice & helpful. Go experience it yourself.
I've seen Tony Baker and Sommore here. There's a 2 item minimum expected purchase as there is at all comedy clubs. Drink and/or food. I believe the menu may be a available online. Small and intimate place to see great comics.
Always loved this spot just need to expand to a bigger spot not enough sitting arm space room and they need to not force you to pay a tip for your food let that be up to the person to give a tip.
The experience here was absolutely amazing! When we first walked in, my friend had bought her ticket separately and we wanted to sit together, but the lady at the front wouldn’t make an exception and wanted to move us farther back. I then spoke with Ethan and asked if there was any way we could keep our original spot since we were already near the front. He went above and beyond to make it happen, and we ended up sitting right by the stage! Once we were seated, the BEST waiter, David, took our order and made the whole night feel even more special. He kept our table entertained and had great conversations with us throughout the experience. He truly made the night that much better. I would highly recommend coming here, and if you’re lucky enough to get David, you’ll experience the outstanding service he provides.
Went to a comedy show this past Saturday. The venue was decorated with beautiful holiday decor. The comedians were funny. Drinks came out fast. Good times
We were delighted to finally see Luenell @ TommyT’s. I enjoyed the show & food $ drinks. I loved the crowd as well. Everyone I believed had a very nice night. I appreciate this area has a club for our favorite comedians and stars can come and we are able to show them love.
This has always been my preferred spot to go and checkout the Local and Traveling Comedians that slide through. Love to sit up top overlooking everyone. Just make sure your are prepared to grab 2 menu items Per Person in your party. Something to eat and a drink l. Or 2 drinks. Any combination of 2 would work ! Other than that this place stay lit !!!
Expensive menu and 2 drink per ticketed attendee but great show.... Frankie Quinones killed it , CREEPER is my hero CHOLO FIT HOMIE !, That's Wassup! My tricera-tripas(or whatever) never been so toned and my gluteus is maximus thanks to Creeper
My first time here, and it was very nice. I love it because it gives a warm & cozy feel, you get an up close & personal feeling with your comedians. The food & drinks are good too, staff are warm & welcoming. Parking fills up fast so get there early, parking attendant is very friendly & very helpful. There is a 2 item minimum order. Also got a chance after the show to take pic with our comedian. We will be coming back. 1000/10 Definitely recommend 💯❤️ it!
We have gone here at least 4 times over many years. We went this past weekend to celebrate our 37th anniversary further. The last time we went, we were with two of our adult children to see the late John Witherspoon. Ironically, we sat right by his picture this visit. Speedy was the host, whose someone we've watched for years. There were 3 unfamiliar males and 1 familiar female comedian. We laughed 😅 🤣😂 so hard!!! Our bodies are still sore!!! Speedy kept the momentum going using audience participation and the DJ. We even got to speak to him and get a photo. The 🍤 prawns, chicken tenders, and fries were delicious. The atmosphere and service were great!!
First we will go with food it was just ok ugh Service wax over the top good drinks were pricey but just ok they should have non alcoholic France drink now the reason we were there the Male strip sho.…
Ryan is an amazing server! He is very attentive! He made sure our party was well taken care of!
I Love Tommy T's! It's nice & an intimate setting. Seating is rather close quarters, but I believe that is how comedy clubs are arranged. I've seen a few people here & I intend to see many more.
Nice , drinks are good loved the beef nachos with cheese Awesome environment and good place to hang out with girls
Very small (cozy?) But depending on who's performing (I saw Karlous Miller of the 85 south show) it can be a cool little night out. I enjoyed myself. There is a 2 item minimum that you have to buy (food/drinks) which are kinda overpriced but pretty good. I had a couple of drinks, a glass of Moscato and loaded potato wedges.
The place is a great place to view comedy and enjoy an evening. However…the seats are small, hard and too close together. Even smaller people have trouble moving in between walking areas without distracting others. The food takes a while but it was good nonetheless. The drinks are moderately strong and overall you’ll have a great night. Come early for parking during popular acts.
Great comedy club for beginners and veterans. Someone was a hit and her opening act was also great.
VIP seating is the way to go. Otherwise, you could end up in a pretty cramped spot. Fried hot wings were excellent! Fries were hot, tasty, and crispy. Chicken strips were good, too. Didn't care too much for the nachos. My vodka martinis had very little flavor and were a little weak. I did enjoy myself. The show was great! Service excellent!!
Staff are friendly, place is clean inside, food is good, not great but definetly good. Drinks on the other hand are good n strong so watch out, I actually love that part. Best seatingnin my opinion is left of stage as you face it with you back against the wall, especially if you dont want to be singled out. If your looking to get noticed, the opposite side features a table to the side rigjt in front of the stage stairs, also a fine spot. Of course right in the middle up front is VIP but ive been in this seats and find that your elbow to elbow and have to sit cockeyed to face the stage.
The entertainment was good. The venue was good. The security and staff were on point. The only thing I have to gripe about is the seating arrangement and the non-existent AC. They could use more central cooling air. It's way too hot in there to be comfortable. You're sweating through your clothes because it's so warm. If they will drop the temperature down quite a bit, you'll be wide awake and probably have a more lively audience
Comedy was great. Seating was disorganized. Poor food service.
It was my first time going and it was amazing. I would definitely recommend getting there early so you can get some seats, I definitely learned quickly not to invest in the VIP if you get there early enough because you can find good seating. They do require a to minimum purchase from each guess which can catch up with you if you're not paying attention. The hosts and comedians were hilarious and they have good comedians coming through I'm definitely plan on going back.
Had a good time at Tommy T.Comedy and host were good.Food was just ok...no drinks due to being responsible.Club employee opens floating wall to allow for more patrons..no consideration or convo to the patrons who had to endure the additional cold from opening the section. Not sure if I would expect much from this venue but the acts are good at a affordable price which is unheard of in the Bay Area Went with sister so we had a blast regardless!
I attended the R&B Bingo event last weekend. This was my 1st time at this venue. It was fun. I enjoyed myself. The server was on point which my friends and I had. The food was good. I had the bond-in wings and fries. However, they lost a star because the drink I ordered did not hit like that. I ordered a henny type of drink from the menu and it was underwhelming for the price that was paid. Other than that, I would go back to catch some comedy shows!!! Those who worked there on that day seemed nice and personable.
The outside looks a Mexican restaurant turned into a comedy club. Seating is horrible. Long communal style table seating. You have to turn your head to look at the entertainer. Got there 20 min befor…
Evaluation TommyT's Comedy 2024 This was a average evening out for a few drinks, small bite to eat and comedic entertainment. Kym's two comedic traveling partners were average and focused on thier sexeual achievements and hip thusts for visual effects. #1 had a good into to get the crowd participating. #2 Had some fun sound effects and story telling. The headliner Kym Whitely 63 looked good and carried herself well and connected with the audience. At the start her marketing picture was from 15 years ago or tremendous hair styling and air brush work. We did love her story telling especially with life's changes to expect with the 18 year old at the event. We went on Saturday night and they were 60% full with no one on the second floor seating. So it does not appear advance non- refundable tickets are necessary for nonbig name headliners. Entry $31 per-person. Nice snacks are $9 to $18 Drinks $9 to $20 each Ticket availability. 2 item min. purchase per person required. 21+ over only with ID.
Our show Saturday night was Taccara Williams and Mieka Jay and these ladies were hilarious. Never even heard of these ladies before but they killed it up on stage. We felt so bad for them cause the AC clearly wasn't working and it was so miserable inside Tommy Ts. Literally cooler outside than inside. The other downfall was the food. It wasn't good and especially not for the prices. We barely ate half of what we both ordered. On a positive note the service we received was great. Our waitress was extremely attentive and quick. Drinks were good. We would have probably ordered more drinks if our food was better. Definitely know for next time use our 2 item minimum for cocktails vs food. Especially if on date we had to stop for food after show.
The comedy was great, but the food was way too expensive, even more than what I pay at Benihana, and there was a dog or a cat, in the kitchen. I saw the back end of it, as it walked into the kitchen. That's very unsanitary.
Needs a touch of remodeling. Especially the women's restroom. Fix all your problems before the guests arrive.
Came to the R & B Brunch it was cool nothing to really brag about, the food was all frozen food which I could have eaten at home. The drinks i will suggest only buy bottled items such as wine or beer or just straight shots, no mixed drinks. But the DJ was cool
Establishment that caters to the well known and up and coming comedians, old school and new age. The talent is great The food is average, the drinks are not strong, the set up could use a serious renovation. If you're used to going to the Funny Bone or Improv, this seating arrangement will tske some getting used to. But the servers are absolutely fantastic. Some of the nicest and prompt employees you will meet. Otherwise go , have a good time, wear something simple and cute, nothing extraordinary....gets warm when 2 or more are gathered. They let rhe fans run, but the air is not out on high, I would imagine around 77 Bathrooms are decent. The surrounding area is great... Chik Fil A, movie theater up the street, Starbucks up the block, In n Out burger and the San Fran outlet up the highway near, and most important highway accessible...jump off, get on...
Seats were cool, but the server messed up the food and drink orders. He was not very attentive to what we were trying to tell him. Completely forgot about the wings we ordered, but brought the fries we ordered after the fact right away. Total dud there. There were only two of the half dozen or so comics who were any good - Bulu (sp?) and the headliner Hannibal Thompson were both outstanding. There was one other guy who was okay too, but I forget his name. The lining up for seating seemed a bit confusing and disorganized, but at least the guy who was seating people according to the order they arrived seated us first, and we had pretty good VIP seats. There was way too much talking by the patrons sitting behind us, which of course is not Tommy T's fault at all. In fact, they specifically told folks to not talk while the comics were on stage, but a lot of folks didn't heed the call. Overall, not bad, but certainly not the best night I've had at Tommy T's.
The show was amazing, but ... They were 45 minutes late opening the doors, then an hour late starting the show. We had planned to grab dinner and drinks while we waited for the show to start. The drinks were okay, but the food was barely passable. We were expecting restaurant quality and got fast food quality instead. I will say that the staff were very pleasant and helpful. And the show was fantastic once it started.
Wooo.. they pack you in tight. Love the show, you also get to see the comedian close up, but very little space and your head is turned whole show. Not sure if I'd go back.
"VIP" doesn't exist. They gave away my table because I went to the bathroom- but sat me at someone else's table that hadn't shown up yet. So don't pay for a "VIP" ticket because it doesn't mean anything "special" for you. Parking was HORRIBLE! We came from Sacramento and got lost, but still got there before Lunell hit the stage. Had to pay FORTY ($40) Dollars to a "parking attendant" that just moved a cone for us to park right in front of the building- that was Hella convenient but FORTY DOLLARS??? It was packed both upstairs and down- if a fire or some other spontaneous "catastrophe" broke out,(Heaven forbid)it would be devastating- one way in, one way out. The food was good and plentiful and the drinks were strong sooo there's that... Having said ALL THAT, Lunell is a NATIONAL TREASURE and in spite of all my disdain for the other stuff I mentioned- SHE WAS WORTH EVERY BIT OF IT!! I had a really good time!! (But this venue can't take any credit for that.) So next time if I ever EVER come back, I'll book a room at the hotel across the parking lot and just walk over- I suggest you do the same!
Bought VIP tickets and was sat all the way off to right wing of the club with my back to the stage in between tables I didn’t fit. Could not have picked a worse seat in the house. Not to mention if you buy your tickets online then you have 2 lines to wait in. 1st the will call window and then the VIP line. I do not recommend the VIP experience.
Show was great but food was vile. Plan to eat before getting here. I know bar food is never supposed to be great and all, and my standards for bar food is VERY low, but the food here was the worst food I've ever eaten at a bar/restaurant/anything. Microwave meals from Walmart would be an upgrade compared to what they're serving. It could be I got served a bad plate of something that had been frozen for a long time, but I'm not going in for a second test. Seriously, eat before you get here.
I had a good time seeing Cedric the entertainer until I saw that I was charged twice for the same meal . I haven't received my 61.48 and it's been 3 days. Hopefully no one else has to go through that. All I wanted to do was take my mother out to see Cedric, I'm not doing well enough to just let go of $60 at the moment
The customer service here is horrible! It’s unfortunate that this is the main comedy club in the east bay that has black comedians. The manager and owner really needs to do better in hiring competent staff!
Thought this would be a great evening for my partner and I! Spent a good amount of money on the “vip” tickets and a gift certificate for food and drinks, plus an additional amount while there. This does not entitle anyone, but got kicked out with zero reason. The reason, i believe, was being loud… i think. I’m still confused over it. We were literally just engaged in the show and laughing so hard at the amazing entertainment that evening. Really is a shame, but i don’t attend interactive experiences with the intent of being demure. Would normally not have a high expectation on food at such a place, but while i’m here, might as well mention that that sucked too. Life is short, half a laugh, just not at tommy t’s! Cheers!
Use to be a cool place to hang out for some laughs, but now, it is the club that is the joke. The food has always been bad, but of course you don't expect to get a Michelin Star meal here, it’s a comedy club, so I'm not tripping, however, the drinks are so sweet my false teeth fell out. And it’s the same rotation of 6/7 comedians telling the same jokes over and over. Not to mention that I've been bullied by the little Gary Coleman security guard the last couple of times I went, but its all good though. Unless this place becomes Hungry Hunter’s again, I wont be coming back.
Horrible layout packing like sardines... Get ready for a neck cramp to see the stage.
Fire hazard!!! This place needs to be reported to the Fire Marshal. Too many tables and no quick exits. Terrible and dangerous set up
This place sucks. Terrible act they booked on 2/14. He wasn't funny at all and was super racist and misogynistic. They made an announcement not to heckle the performer and then the performer singled out this woman up front for no reason and completely harassed and attacked her. It was shocking and disgusting to watch. The staff did nothing to stop it. And the food was awful too - heavily fried and greasy. Only good thing is that the staff were nice.
The outside looks a Mexican restaurant turned into a comedy club. Seating is horrible. Long communal style table seating. You have to turn your head to look at the entertainer. Got there 20 min before the show started and was put in a back corner where you can’t see at all next to a bunch of loud drunks. Bad experience. Definitely won’t go back.
I came to the Mike Epps show and bought the extra package. Upon the night I was having a good time until the security kept checking me and my lady about talking to each other. Once he started doing that I watched him to go through the whole facility and not once did he check anyone else. The first time I respected how he felt then when I would laugh at any point he continued to only say something to me and my wife. Then he said we cannot talk to each other during the performance when in fact mentioned it is a comedy show 'people talk all the time to each other". Which all groups did I paid $600 at the end of night to only get checked by security for staring at my wife and having a chip on his back. Harassing me throughout the night. We were quiet for the most part I respected the phone restrictions. I went outside with the individual to talk about the issue he did not accept how he was wrong and proceeded to tell me he can talk to anyone how he wants and said he talked to the whole table when he did not "that's not professional". He said he can choose who he wants to talk to. I tried to understand where he was coming from then the front desk lady with blonde hair in her 40's tried to aid him which made it worse. At this point that is ridiculous I paid extra to be entertained and have a good time to only be harassed by security and make me and my lady leave early to handle this issue with the so called security. 5"6 black man with long dreads down his back gray beanie who didn't give his name. He ran back inside while other team members started to speak for him when they were not there.
I have tickets for tomorrow’s show of the Grinch! I have attempted to reach someone at this location for 6 days, morning, noon and night! No one answers and mailbox is full to leave message. Sent 2 emails, no response. I don’t have enough people to bring for the amount of tickets I have, I need to know the age requirement and policy if I just don’t show up! Maybe they will see this review as they don’t answer the phone and or respond to emails! I will change my one star if anyone contacts me! Zero stars for now!!
