An absolute must if you’re in the area. This restaurant has a stellar wine list, delicious food, and amazing service. We came to celebrate a friend’s birthday and the staff made it so very special for them. Would absolutely come back!
Tried the sea bass, quinoa salad, quinoa cakes, and shrimp over a couple of meals. Also the breakfast buffet quiche. Excellent flavors on all these dishes. The chocolate cake was fine but nothing special. The staff are really nice people. Gorgeous mountain views.

Love this restaurant the food, service, and view all spectacular. Can’t wait to go back. You won’t be disappointed to dine at the Wigwam.
We are local in Whitehawk Ranch. We love your FIFTY44 restaurant.
Amazing views and awesome food. Service was great!
Super clean..friendly staff
Have been here twice in the off season with my fiancé and the food is incredible. Fresh and Delicious flavors. We get the Veggie Scramble and share a Banana Split Chia Pudding. Prices are extremely reasonable and you are getting a Five Star quality meal.
We started off with the bison carpaccio and Chilean sea bass ceviche and then my wife had the half chicken with lemon and thyme and I had the short rib ragu and all were absolutely delicious. Then she had the orange and lavender creme brule for dessert while I had the chocolate mousse cake. Again, amazing! And the highlight was our server, Emma. She was such sweet, genuine person that she really made our experience great. Can't wait to come back again!
We visited as part of a wedding rehearsal dinner and had a fantastic time. The view of the valley and moutains was amazing especially as the sun set. The food was excellent and staff friendly and attentive. We had so much food we were stuffed even before dessert came out. Also it isn't often you get to spend time in a Frank Lloyd Wright designed building for dinner.
Amazing food, from presentation to taste. The way the flavors play off each is something to be admired. Stunning views with an inviting atmosphere. The whole experience is phenomenal.
A favorite date destination any day of the year. Fascinating surroundings, stunning patio views, amazing food, great service.
I have yet to have a negative experience here. Staff have been friendly, good food, and wonderful ambiance.

The atmosphere is amazing… anytime you can go inside a Frank Lloyd Wright building you should take advantage. I came for lunch with my daughter and a couple who are family friends. He is in a wheelchair and it was no problem at all getting in/out and sitting at a table. My daughter and I got the burger and it was very very delicious. The burger with fries and a couple beers will cost over $40. I know it’s California but I just had a similar meal with 2 beers in another state and it was half the price. The service was OK. Definitely would expect a bit more professionalism from the staff at the price but they were friendly. Overall it was a nice experience and I would definitely come back!

Nice place, great view, but we were underwhelmed with the food
Really good ribeye steak, huge club sandwich
They don’t have a lot of Vegan and Vegetarian choices.
The chicken with risotto was good, the beet salad was good, and the pork belly starter was great. Extremely friendly and helpful staff at the bar and restaurant. I've seen a few of the comments about how "isolated " it is, but that's the point if you are looking for a relaxing time and a good meal.
We thought it was a sit down restaurant. The atmosphere was golf 19th hole type bar. We ordered bread ($10.00) unfortunately they ran out. We sent one bottle of wine back . $500.00 for six of us. I wore a long sleeve shirt with collar. My wife wore a skirt. We were the best dressed people there. I will say the food was excellent. The building was unique and worth stopping in for a cocktail.
The building is awesome. Frank Lloyd Wright architect! Service was excellent, home made bread and lemon herb butter was excellent. Pumpkin Gnocchi appetizer was great. I had the Cesar salad with Salmon added. Salad was good but the salmon was grilled to long so it was dry. I should have asked for it cooked medium rare. But the server didn’t ask. They also comped us dessert since we were celebrating our anniversary. I would go back.
My wife and I love this place. Burger is fantastic. Desserts are delicious. We eat at the bar and you don’t need reservations. The only problem is you’ll show up for dinner and there will be a wedding and everything is closed. We even try to call earlier in the day to avoid this problem but no one answers. We check social media, no post. It’s kinda brutal to drive so far and be left with nothing.

We stayed at the inn and ate 4 or 5 meals here. It was hit or miss. I think I sent two different meals back, but other meals were excellent like the elk and the ribeye. Service can be slow. Beautiful building worth great views.

We had a great time at brunch days before and came back again a few days later for dinner. We had made a reservation but unfortunately we had to wait an additional 40 minutes to sit at our table which was fine, we were able to enjoy drinks from the bar and the live music while we waited. Once seated we were greeted by the heavily tattooed brunette female server, I would mention her by name but she never introduced herself. It felt a bit rude and presumptuous that she picked up our tables wine glasses before offering a wine menu, she also never asked us for our drink orders as well. We ordered appetizers and they took 45 minutes to arrive at our table, I’m not sure why it would take so long when we had ordered a charcuterie as one of the appetizers. Our entrees arrived less than 10 minutes after our appetizers arrived, I’m not sure if the waitress just forgot to put our appetizers in until our entrees were ordered. We felt rushed as well, we were the last table to be sat and there were other parties that had been sitting from since before we arrived for our reservation but we were handed our check with dinner before being asked if we wanted to order dessert. We actually had to waive down another server to put our drink and desserts order in at separate times. We were the last table to be seated and first table to leave and it made me feel uncomfortable to be rushed. I wasn’t going to complain, but it was extremely uncomfortable to walk out of the bathroom and overhear our waitress very loudly complain to the other employees about only getting a 20% tip on our 400$+ order. The food was great, I just wish we had the proper service to enjoy it in a timely manner and didn’t have such a poorly mannered waitress.
We were there tonight for dinner. At check in we were told that we did not have a reservation in spite of close to ten email reminders. After I showed one of the emails the hostess said hmm I saw it somewhere but you did not make it on the list. We were seated and waited 15 minutes before a drink order was taken. Another 15 minutes went by until food order was taken. I asked what one of the appetizers were and I was told she thought it was bread and butter with lemon. I asked if it was good and she said she never tried it so she had no idea. After a full half hour waiting for bread and appetizers we called over the manager and said we waited a ling time, then a total of one hour and no appetizer. I said we could have gone to another place for dinner since we were staying in Graeagle. Jorge the manager said”good luck finding another restaraunt”. Appetizers came and eventually the food came. Jorge brought the dinners over did not ask who had what and put the wrong plates down. We realized after comparing side dishes that we had the incorrect plates. No one checked to see if I wanted another glass of wine which I did. No refill of water was offered. Food was good, price was high, service was terrible. Alan Roth
Food was not great and was very overpriced for what it was. We ordered multiple items that had ingredients listed on the menu that were never added to the dish. Service was extremely slow. Took 50 minutes from the time we sat down to get our appetizers. Server did not even come to our table until 20 minutes after we were sat. No apology or explanation for any of this. I would not come back to this restaurant unless it was for a cocktail and the beautiful view!

FIFTY44 RESTAURANT. On what was supposed to be a special day to celebrate my daughter’s graduation and a full scholarship to a top university, We thought we would celebrate and go to FIFTY44 RESTAURANT at Nakoma. The service treatment and food we received was horrible. I don’t think my family and I have ever had a worse experience at a restaurant. The waitress was unfriendly and rude with sarcastic remarks. She brought the drinks out with no straws and mixed them up. The food came out at different times so far apart we did not eat together. My plate, the rice did not taste like it was thoroughly cooked, eggs overcooked, my daughter’s hamburger was soggy and the couple plates of strawberry pancakes were also soggy and bland. On 2 of the breakfast plates some of the food was overcooked. When I told the waitress about my plate she responded by telling me “I’ll tell the chef to come out here” and took my plate while I politely asked to have the menu, which she ignored. About 5 to 10 minutes later she brought out another round of plates, served them, started to walk back to the kitchen when I asked her again for a menu and she told me “I told you I’ll be right back” by this time I was done and disgusted at everything with this restaurant. I didn’t want anything and to just leave. Our waitress didn’t even bring out the check she had someone else bring it out. The next day my family and I started to talk about the bad service and food, and I was just going to let it go.. untill I heard multiple people in my family also disgusted, and disappointed. So i decided to call and spoke to a new assistant manager, who told me she would talk to the manager of the restaurant And get back to me, which they never did. So I called a few days later and spoke to a general manager named Richard, and let me tell you. He was just as rude!!! His response was “well what do you want me to do about it” “and I have never had a complaint before and just the opposite” just very condescending remarks from him. I’m like your the GM you tell me, is this how you treat your customers ? No Apology no nothing from him. Couldn’t believe his response. So I called back again to talk to the Manager of the restaurant and come to find out her name is Brooke and she is actually the chef that prepared our food that day and the restaurant manager. She was not happy to hear when i talked to her about the disappointment in the service and the food we received, she was really offended about the food when I TRIED explaining what happened, and instead of listening to what I was trying to tell her about the experience we had that day at the restaurant and to see what happened, she just over talked me with a bully voice and snarky remarks. Fir such a high quality restaurant the treatment towards their customers was and is disgraceful and disgusting. She also said she’s NEVER had anyone ever say anything Negative regarding her food. So all in all this is why I never got a call back and not one person from Nakoma ever treated myself or my family with courtesy except my caucasian husband, when another waitress came out and personally thanked him and only him, and I’m the one who set this all up with reservations and did most of the talking with what was going on. And there was another 14 guest there too. Now I’m starting to wonder what really went on and why were we treated so badly?. I wish I could rate them with ZERO stars because this place was they worst restaurants we have been too. YES it was that bad!! I do not recommend. They ruined my daughter’s celebration lunch and no one cared when I tried to bring it to their attention. But they were so big headed and so sure of themselves attitude, like they could never make a mistake or mess up, i couldn’t even explain what had happened. Just rude and condescending all the way around. Oh I’m sure they’ll try and twist the truth I wouldn’t put it past them after all this. You’re better off at one of the other restaurants in the area who treat their customers much much better and have way better food!
The gnocchi looked like vomit, mushy and tasteless. The scallops were dry, hard and smelled fishy, not fresh. The elk was cold and drowned in an overly sweet sauce, scalloped sweet potatoes were dry, hard needed salt and pepper. Did not have peaches for specialty salad. No red wine glasses even though they sell red wine. The view was spectacular because it didn't have to be "Cooked". Avoid this restaurant, awful meals and very overpriced.
