⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Me and my bestie went to Da Vinci’s for their Set Three Course Motown Event, and it was absolutely amazing from start to finish! We started with the bruschetta and prawn cocktail, followed by the famous Da Vinci’s fish pie and pork steak — both cooked to perfection. For dessert, we had the tiramisu and the cheese board which was such a fun touch! The atmosphere was incredible — great music, people up dancing, and nothing but good vibes all night. The staff were fantastic, so friendly and attentive. Honestly, we enjoyed every single moment. Can’t wait to come back for the next event! 🎶🍷✨
The best Italian restaurant I’ve been to in the UK so far! The food could’ve fooled me into thinking I was in Italy. Beautifully fresh pasta, everything was really tasty. Lovely atmosphere and staff couldn’t do enough for you. So glad we found this gem, we will be back!!
Very welcoming restaurant and delicious Italian food. Service is also good. Pizza is delicious. Maybe the pork is a little tough (it would have been more tender if marinated in advance), but the sauce was excellent.
Just had a fabulous meal sitting outside at Da Vinci's. I had a locally caught skate wing with a lovely sauce and it was cooked perfectly which is not easy to do. My wife had a very tasty sourdough pizza. The service was overall very good and attentive. Rounded off with sharing home made profiteroles. Good food well cooked in a great setting for a reasonable price. I'll be back.
The mackerel pate is the best I’ve had anywhere - so smooth & plentiful you almost need more toast to go with it. The staff are friendly & service is great. Yes it’s a little on the pricey side but it’s a lovely restaurant we’d happily go back to
Lovely restaurant, lovely people and fanbloodytastic food. Lots of choice and a menu of the day. Even packed me a doggy bag as I couldn't eat all of mine. Also had a dog menu. Thanks all.
Probably one of the best Italians I’ve had. Staff are very polite and friendly. Definitely recommend. Will be back for sure.
🌟 Just back from an amazing trip to Florence and I had the pleasure of dining at Da Vinci’s Italian Restaurant! 🍝✨ located on Poole Quay in Dorset. This family-run gem since 1993 felt like a true extension of our holiday. From fresh local ingredients to authentic Italian flavour’s, every dish was a delight! 😍 It’s no wonder this spot attracts both loyal locals and curious tourists drawn in by its charming, traditional facade. Thank you Nico, your passion for the restaurant and the food you produce was obvious and really made our evening.
Located on Poole Quay, this is such a wonderful place to enjoy your favourite Italian food. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. Its been a while since my last visit and I won't be leaving it long until the next one. I had the stagioni pizza which was piled high with all the vegetables. As expected it was delicious, served quickly and with a personal touch - the waiter even remembering it's my favourite despite the long gap in my visits. My dad had the margarita but due to a tomato intolerance he had it without the sauce which was no problem for the staff to accommodate. Sadly we didn't have room for dessert this time. I would highly recommend a visit to Da Vincis, such a lovely atmosphere and a real authentic vibe.
Not a local—just visiting the area—but really glad I stumbled across Da Vinci’s down in the port of Poole. It’s in a great spot with the option to sit outside and enjoy the fresh air or tuck into your meal inside in a cosy, welcoming setting. I went for the Linguine Scallops and King Prawns (£30) from the specials board, and it was absolutely spot on. The seafood was fresh and generous, and the pasta was packed with flavour—garlic, chilli, cherry tomatoes, anchovies and a splash of white wine. Rich, delicious and not too heavy. It’s also really child-friendly, especially for earlier diners—there were families around but it still felt relaxed and well-paced. Staff were lovely, friendly without being over the top. Not the cheapest dish on the menu, but for the quality, I’d say it was well worth it. Would definitely come back if I’m in Poole again.
Loved this... We'd had a couple of days on the South coast as a nice little break. Lunch at Da Vinci's was the perfect finish to our trip. Food So flavoursome - it's rare I'm able to finish a serving of gnocci; I wanted to lick the bowl clean! Best Arancini i have ever had! Drinks Limited selection of beers and cocktails but went down well nonetheless. Vibe Exceptional service - friendly staff; A real family run operation with a 'love for life/food with friends/celebration atmosphere'. If it's your birthday, he'll pull his guitar out and get the restaurant to join in. Setting Beautifully set by the harbour with parasols, so a great shout for a warm Summers day.
Love this place, wine, food, and atmosphere. With a walk along the Quay to finish. Don't miss out if you're staying in the poole area.
Kelly - crab and avocado salad was amazing, And their location was perfect with a great aroma, and that was just Mo Andrew - great location, reception and food. Made even better by Mo. Toby - very good margarita pizza We’ll definitely visit again when our yacht is next in town.
A charming harborside location with lovely ambiance, great service and delicious food. Kudos to Genarro and team!
A great little find in the heart of Poole quay will definitely be returning next time we are in the area. Amazing traditional Italian food and good prices.
Great proper Italian restaurant. Amazing and very tasty food. Superb staff. Toilets very clean. Pizza was super yeasty and super hot, we have added extra chillies Naha Viper with was extremely hot. For all chillier lovers I highly recommend to add it. Walls are decorated wit amazing artworks.
Oh my gosh - what an amazing experience I had here… I ate alone whilst on a trip to Poole, the service was incredible - the staff made me feel so welcome, gave me recommendations. The food was absolutely beautiful - I had three courses and they were all impeccable… beautifully presented authentic Italian… if I return to Poole, I would definitely return here - absolutely loved it. Oh and it was dog friendly - unfortunately I didn’t have my two chihuahuas on this trip but was so good to see a restaurant like this allowing dogs and accepting them as part of the family… Such a lovely meal. The restaurant itself is also such a beautiful setting and has a lot of cork art which caught my attention… definitely recommend - you won’t be disappointed! Great work guys x
The food and drinks were so good and the outside seating area was beautiful! The staff were very friendly and the service was quick, I will defiantly be back!
A amazing restaurant with a great menu and helpful and attentive staff. Circo the waiter was brilliant, explained the special boards and the lunch menu in a really informative and tasty way!! Food was amazing and great value for money. Da Vinci,s is also a well appointed and we'll themed restaurant that gives a very Italian feel..loved it.🥰
The best pizza I've ever eaten . Great value for money. Friendly and helpful staff. Definitely going back there very soon
For an early tea, aka 6pm, the service was fantastic, the atmbuily throughout the evening and the food was tobdie for
Beautiful location, great breakfast.....the bread tasted slightly garlicy which hubby had to leave as it gives him migraines. Didn't mention it as the poor kiddy was run off his feet. Would definitely go again.
Had a girl's pizza making party Sunday lunchtime. Fabulous staff. Nothing too much trouble. Balloons, banner and own cake welcomed. Kids had a great time rolling the dough, adding the toppings an then eating their work. Definitely recommend.
On my recent visit to Poole, I was super hungry for food with a nice drink and a good view. I came across this amazing looking restaurant, just by the Poole harbour, serving delicious Italian dishes. Apart from the food, what impressed me was the special treatment offered by their superb staff - Ciro (Sumit) and James who allowed me to sit outside while I enjoy my scrumptious chicken steak and wine with the view of the harbour. I was then recommended a chocolate pastry by another customer, which was simply the best. The pastry was lightly heated with the some home made Italian cream and strawberries by the side. This place doesn't just serve food they give you an experience. I will always remember this dinner I had in Poole, specially for the super cool staff they have (James and Ciro) 😊
Fab food and service. Sea bream was deboned at the table. Great Calibran Rose wine recommended by the waiter. Seafood pasta dishes were amazing and the fillet steak cut like butter. Tiramisu to die for.
We were last in a week ago, and I wrote a TripAdvisor review then as we'd had an excellent breakfast and an excellent dinner in quick succession. Tonight's experience topped both but TA doesn't allow you to review twice within 30 days it seems. It was a really special birthday meal this evening, the table requests were fulfilled, and the staff and food were 7* all night; 5* really isn't enough, according to our daughter Amelia, 8!! Thank you to all who made tonight such a wonderful evening. See you soon.
Amazing service and the food was great. There was a problem with my starter (not their fault, the info hadn't been passed to them correctly) but they fixed it quickly and were kind and apologetic. I would definitely recommend a visit for delicious Italian food with vegan and gluten-free options
Absolutely stunning restaurant. The service was great, too. The food was out of this world! One of the best Italian meals I have had. Perfect atmosphere and super enjoyable. The tiramasu was incrediable!!!! Thanks for having us.
Loved our lunch today at Da Vinci! Entirely delicious and well priced, worth a visit if you’re in the area. Has a very homely feel to it which we loved!! Thank you.
The food was absolutely delicious amd had great service aswell! Will definitely come again
Always a firm favrouite of ours. Great choice of gluten free which is a must for us as my wife is GF. Always a good atmosphere and great service
Came to Da Vinci’s last night with my friend for dinner and drinks! I cannot reccomend here enough if you want the best food! We both had the spaghetti carbonara and shared a cheesy garlic bread pizza with this, we didn’t want it to end - it was delicious - both the pizza and carbonara! Such a lovely atmosophere to be in from the interior as well as the friendly, efficient and kind staff! We loved spending time here enjoying the food as well as wine and it was a comfortable environment where we actually could’ve sat chatting all night long! Thank you - we will be back for sure! Grazie🇮🇹
Arrived late in Poole, trying to find somewhere to eat at 9:25 on a Friday was looking optimistic. However, this restaurant invited us in, made us feel welcome and served 4 hungry travellers a delicious meal with attentive service. Decor is quirky casual, the menu is more than just pizza and pasta. Definitely recommend.
Went in after a show before we trained back home. Njoyed a fabulous seafood linguine and battered courgettes. A nice cider to complement Cicoand most where great hoist and made sure out visit was good. Thanks to you all.
Had a lovely meal at this spot the other night and just had to say—the service was top-notch. Friendly faces, no faff, and they kept everything ticking along smoothly, Felt properly looked after from start to finish. We went for the carbonara and wow... talk about comfort food done right. Creamy, peppery, and absolutely delicious. Honestly, if you're after good grub, great vibes, and staff who actually care, give this place a go. We'll definitely be heading back—and next time, dessert’s happening.
I went for an impromptu dinner with a good friend. The waiters were wonderful! We were greeted with a smile and a great sense of humour. The waiters were attentive and lovely to speak with; nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was delicious, and my friend and I wanted to share each other's food. So, the waiters kindly provided extra plates for us, again, with no trouble at all. The prices are good for the quantity and quality of the meal. We had the Margherita pizza and the seafood linguini. YUM! We will definitely visit again, and soon! Thank you for having us!
We had a family Christmas meal lunch time today. The service was exceptional, we felt very spoilt and looked after. No pressure on time everything flowed nicely. The food was lovely and we would recommend you go and try for yourself soon. Thank you to all the staff for making our family meal feel special.
Exceptional food. Full of flavour and lovely presentation. Really enjoyable atmosphere with lovely, friendly service. Look forward to visiting again.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Honestly one of the best meals I’ve had in ages! Came here with a group of five and we all left absolutely obsessed. The place has such a lovely vibe — cosy but lively. We came on a very wet and rainy day and looked fully booked! The food was bloody amazing. Every single dish looked incredible and tasted even better — starters, mains, desserts — all the plates were spotless by the end! You can tell everything’s made fresh and with proper care. The staff were just as good — super friendly, chatty, and actually knew what they were talking about when it came to the menu. It makes such a difference when people genuinely love where they work. It was my birthday, and the waiter told me my main was on the house if I took a photo with the owner for their socials — such a nice, funny little moment that honestly made the night even better. Overall, can’t fault a single thing. Great food, great people, great atmosphere. 100% would come back — already planning the next visit!
Cosy authentic Italian place right on the quay. Delicious cocktails. Great service. We really enjoyed dinner here. Staff are absolutely lovely. It's comfy and warm inside. Lots of outdoor seating for the summer months. Excellent range of classic Italian dishes and specials. Seafood linguine was particularly good. Paid parking nearby.
Stumbled across this lovely family run restaurant by accident. So glad we did. The door handle is a large pepper mill which is fab. All the staff so friendly. The decor is lovely. Food and drinks menu offering good choices at reasonable prices. With your napkin is a packet of breadsticks which is a nice touch. We didn't have much time sadly so only had pizza which was goregous. Will certainly be returning when in Poole again and making sure we have plenty of time to sample more of the menu. From what we saw on the tables around us we will not be disappointed.
This was our first visit to Da Vinci's, and on this occasion only for a quick drink. G&T's on Poole Quay, watching the boats go by was a nice way to spend some time following the recent relaxation of Covid restrictions. The outdoor area is well situated, right on the quayside. It was warm in the sun, but cold with no sun and freezing when the wind got up. Our advice is take a blanket! We will return sometime soon to sample the food.
Gnocchi is to die for. Appetizers were average. Fries were not crispy. Great and quick service and location. Price little bit on higher side. Recommend outdoor seating.
We stopped by Da Vinci’s and had just one main dish. The food was tasty, nicely presented and made with fresh ingredients. It was a decent meal overall. The staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, which made the experience more enjoyable. The restaurant has a lovely setting right by Poole Quay, so the view definitely adds to the atmosphere. All in all, a nice place for a casual meal with kind service and a beautiful view. Not amazing, but we left satisfied.
Quite expensive for average food, nice atmosphere and locations but very chaotic. I wouldn't say social distancing was in place although all the staff were wearing face masks.Service charge which would have been fine but I wouldn't have said it was amazing service certainly not worth a service charge. Unfortunately I wouldn't return, however didn’t try the pizza.
Mediocre. It’s not terrible, but there are better places to get Italian food in Poole. The establishment has been there a long time and seems tired and outdated in a spiritual sense. Nice spot on the quayside though it comes at a price reflected in how much you pay for what is mediocre food. Also pretty sure the Peroni I was served was out of date as it tasted funny.
Excellent food, but pricey. Moved our table of 6 to a smaller table, took about 45 mins to take order, didn't get the pudding we ordered (2 of us) due to a "miscommunication " in the kitchen apparently. We did get a complementary bottle of wine, but overall it just didn't feel like a great night out
Had a family meal here a few weeks ago. The place itself is nice, and the staff were very good. Most of the food was well cooked. Sadly I made the mistake of ordering the ox cheeks, which should have been fall apart soft, but were in fact very tough. Not pleasant. The new owner seemed nice, though. Hopefully he'll teach his chef to use a pressure cooker on those cheeks.
Da Vinci’s has a great location and a lovely atmosphere, and I really appreciated the use of fresh ingredients in the dishes — you can tell the produce is good quality. Unfortunately, the positives stopped there for me. The service was the biggest letdown. On arrival, we were greeted (if you can call it that) by a young man who I believe is the owner’s son — his selfie is in the menu. His attitude was rude and sarcastic from the outset, which immediately put us off. The other waiters didn’t seem to know what they were doing and couldn’t even name the dish when serving it to me. It felt like the staff were more focused on payment than actually providing good service. Also no women working, only very young men which is strange to me.. Food was slightly overcooked, which was disappointing given how fresh the ingredients seemed. Also, the outdoor seating could use an upgrade — some nicer chairs would really elevate the space and match the otherwise charming vibe. A place with potential, but sadly the service and attention to detail really missed the mark.
Awful experience starting by being moved from the table we were seated at, only to be verbally abused by the people moved into our table when we complained. They seemed to be friends with the owners hence the special treatment. The waiter didn't seem bothered we were getting abused by their mates simply for complaining. Asked for chilli oil for my pizza and got a bottle with 1cm of flavourless oil in it. Salad was served without onions and salad tongs. How difficult is it to do a green salad? My friends lasagna was very poor and we were never offered Parmesan. Cocky waiter didn't seem interested in us and I had to walk up to the bar twice to get their attention.
