Let’s face it, Lulworth cove is the main reason that gazillions of people come to this part of our lovely world, but in my honest opinion, the Lulworth Lodge, and its amazing staff, for us anyway, is the main reason for us to return. Flossie (front of house) is an absolute gem. Thoroughly knowledgeable about the entire menu, and absolutely charming too. And then the food…we had the Dorset crab rarebit between us to start, and it was by far the absolute best crab dish I have ever had! The flavour combinations and textures were truly sublime, using a small amount of pickled shallots to finish was an unexpected, but perfect addition, to cut through just enough, to leave a complete umami sensation that lasted. Amazing. We both chose the seafood linguine, and we both arrived at the same exact moment (like a couple of Japanese trains…) with the conclusion that this dish was absolutely perfect. Adding anything to the dish would have over-complicated it, and missing any ingredient would lessen the overall experience. The balance was spot on! We both fed-back how amazing we found the food, only to find that the chef Josh, started in the kitchen at the age of 16, and is only in his early twenties! A round of applause for this guy, as he was clearly taught well, but more importantly, he paid attention!! Just to finish, we had a special meringue to share, which was created by Drew. And fair play, it kept the standard flying high. Seriously, if we lived closer (we’re in Nottingham) we’d dine here as often as we could afford! Bravo team! We’ll be back, just for you guys!

We have enjoyed 2 meals here and they were absolutely delicious. The service was impeccable with great waiting service and the food arrived promptly and hot. Fresh produce was clearly used. Lots of gluten free options or if you are intolerant but can eat sourdough then are also lots of options. It has a beautiful location. I would highly recommend here if you want good quality food.

We had the most fabulous experience from start to finish! The food and service were immeasurable. Huge shout out to the lovely Clare Bear!!! We will definitely be back.

We had dinner at the lodge, and it was an excellent meal. The staff were great, and everything was delicious. The fish and chips was definitely my favourite out of all the dishes.

What a beautiful hidden gem of a place. Friendly, helpful staff. Claire was lovely and reserved us a table for our anniversary and even came out to wish us a happy anniversary! Food is fantastic! Best cod and chips I have ever had and every meal was so tasty. Great room, beautiful view! Just a wonderful stay and wonderful staff who just do everything to make you feel welcome!

Absolutely love the Lulworth Lodge. I came back in May and it was our best meal by far so when I returned with my husband this July we ate there both nights - food was excellent again, cocktails superb, staff fantastic. Special mention to Clare and Murray for making each time extra special and making us feel well looked after. Feels like a home from home already!

We had dinner here twice during our stay at Lulworth Cove earlier this week. Perfect location about half-way between the car park and the cove itself. Nice inside decor, large outside dining area, friendly service, and above all excellent quality food. I had the fish & chips both nights and it was delicious. We didn't realise they had rooms, so perhaps something to consider for our next visit. It gets quite busy, so best to book in advance if you want a table inside. Recommended.

Stopped off here for lunch and so glad we did, the food was amazing and great value, I had the seafood linguine and my wife had the ciabatta with halloumi and a side of fries with Parmesan on top, beautifully presented and lovely fresh ingredients would definitely visit again.

Our stay at Lulworth Lodge has been an amazing start to our holiday! The interior has so much love and detail, the food is prepared with fresh produce and perfect skill and all the staff if forthcoming and friendly! The rooms were super clean and comfortable and the breakfast the next morning just delicious!!! I can very highly recommend a stay!

We stayed at this stunning hotel overnight, enjoying a three course meal for dinner and an exquisite breakfast the following morning. The selection at breakfast really impressed me - everything was freshly made, locally sourced, high quality! Even down to the BREAD!!! (They have not spared expense on their food, you can tell! Everything is exquisite) I especially loved their ginger overnight oats, they produced the combination I would have never tried - but so glad I did! Wow! Yummy AND healthy. The hot food came out deliciously hot, perfectly cooked, and generous portions. Dinner the night before- was delicious!!! All three courses, without fault!!! I went out of my way to commend the chef, the presentation of the food was wonderful, the service of the staff in the restaurant was impeccable - and most of all the food itself was a DELIGHT FOR MY TASTEBUDS!! Highly recommend prawns, by the way. The owners have done a fantastic job decorating the inside of restaurant… it’s the perfect blend of classy yet colourful, cosy yet spacious, and you FEEL like you’re at home, but BY THE SEA - at the same time ;) down the their cleverly thought out decorations and lighting etc, it’s a perfect ambience. We’ve eaten at multiple places in LulWorth Cove- this is by far the WINNER! Highly recommend :) Special mention to Flossy, Ellie & Clare (who refers to herself as the nutty pot wash lady!!) all of them were extremely professional, helpful, friendly - whilst going above and beyond with giving us local information, and they did a great job up selling the bathroom products ;) turns out the owner of the lodge owns their own NATURAL skin care brand! Thanks to the girls I’ve now become a customer of their beautiful handcrafted natural range of body wash and cream. FYI = Wild England! If you do eat here, you can check out the hand soap and handcream in the downstairs restaurant bathroom ;) you’ll see! It’s beautiful.

My sister and I had been to the Sauna at Lulworth Cove and despite being fully booked managed to get an impromptu table at the lodge from people that hadn’t turned up. It was well worth the experience - we both had scallops to start which melted in your mouth followed by a very tasty cod dish. It was very chilled and the staff were super helpful.

Had a lovely dinner at the lodge restaurant — the fish and chips were absolutely fantastic, perfectly crispy and full of flavor. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making the whole experience warm and relaxed. Definitely a spot I’d come back to!

We recently hosted our staff Christmas party at Lulworth Lodge, and it was spectacular! From start to finish, the team went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect. Their friendliness and professionalism made the entire evening run smoothly, and their warm hospitality added to the festive atmosphere. The food was sublime, and the cocktails divine! Room was lovely apart from a very small bathroom which could be updated. Did have an issue with the door lock which was resolved a couple of times. Food was excellent and location great with easy access to Cove

We came here for dinner and it was fantastic. The staff were lovely and super friendly, the atmosphere is bright but cozy and the food was gorgeous. I had the lobster and it was amazing. They have a few options for the non seafood lover, as well as great seafood options.

Great birthday celebration for 8 people . 6 older guys 2 kids everyone enjoyed the experience .Great food lovely friendly and hard working staff .Well done .

My sister and I went for a drink and then dinner after the sauna experience on the beach. The staff were so friendly & helpful and the food was really delicious. Highly recommend it.

I highly recommend this restaurant - food and service are simply outstanding, locally caught seafood and the chef is really talented. They even accommodated out small dog and went above an beyond to ensure we enjoyed our dinner. Staff are all genuinely helpful and care about their job. We will definitely be returning again! Well its the best pub sea view left in the town. We were close to closing time but staff kindly still served us without a fuss. The super smiley barmaid/waitress made us feel very welcome. Cracking burger: in the big knife, mini fryer basket style. Worth the hefty price tag because of the tiny saucepan chutney presentation, leaves and the big pickle. Interruption from eccentric upstairs residents is a possibility, but can come with the territory of the non-chain-pub.

Stayed with my husband on their special winter offer. What can we say other than brilliant! Lovely staff, delicious breakfasts, amazing evening meals, lovely room. Our super king bed was so comfortable! Great location, we highly recommend you to all our friends and will be back soon. Thank you so much!

We returned to the restaurant more times than I can count during our short stay in Lulworth. Excellent seafood, scones, and drinks served by the sweetest staff ever. I loved all of the caring details, like the outdoor flavoured water dispenser, sauna connection and dog friendliness. Truly welcoming and satisfying. If the hotel is anywhere near as good as the restaurant we will stay there next time.

Came here for food twice I'm the days. The food was amazing! The atmosphere and service were cozy and welcoming. I especially liked the glug jugs.

Thank you to the staff for a wonderful stay at this incredibly located, chic hotel so close to Lulworth Cove! We had a wonderful stay, the breakfast is delicious and we ate every evening at the restaurant - best in town. Very dog friendly in a pedestrian street and less than one minute's walk to swim in the ocean. A+++

The lodge is in the historical area of Lulworth. The lodge provide a parking token, which reduces the parking fees considerably. Evening meal was really good, using local products and great choice. Breakfast was fabulous too. Staff friendly and textile.

My friend and I recently visited Lulworth Lodge for the first time, where we were warmly welcomed by Ellie. From the moment we arrived, she was exceptionally polite and accommodating. The indoor seating was fully reserved so we were seated outside. I’m not particularly fond of dogs, and the wasps were persistent that day. Having just returned from the tiring Durdle Door trek, I felt too exhausted to deal with them. I went back inside and explained our situation to Ellie. She kindly checked the reservation times and was able to offer us a table indoors, which was a huge relief. Additionally, as a Muslim, it was also time for me to pray, and with no nearby facilities, I asked if there was anywhere suitable. Ellie went above and beyond by offering me a private space at the back to perform my prayers. Her attentiveness, warm smile, and willingness to help at every step truly stood out. Nothing was too much trouble for her, and she made our visit so much more comfortable and enjoyable. Ellie is a real asset to the team at Lulworth Lodge, and her service deserves recognition. Thank you Ellie!

We enjoyed an evening drink at the bar and a fantastic breakfast the next morning. Great atmosphere, tasty food, and super friendly staff. Next time, we’ll stay overnight at this hotel!

Fantastic staff. Nice clean and crisp beers. The seafood linguini is baby certified. Fish and chips was delicious too. The area is absolutely gorgeous. Cannot comment on the rooms since we were only there for a day trip.

Lulworth Lodge Hotel is an absolute gem! Perfectly located right by the beach at beautiful Lulworth Cove, it’s a dream for both humans and dogs. 🐾 The whole place has such a warm, welcoming feel, and the staff couldn’t have been more friendly or helpful — truly perfect customer service. Dinner was delicious, breakfast (included!) was just as tasty, and the dog-friendly vibe made the whole stay even more special.

I spent the weekend here with my partner and honestly had one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. The service was incredible, the food was amazing, and the accommodation was just perfect. You don’t get this kind of quality everywhere, it’s pretty rare! The rooms were spotless, and the view from ours was absolutely stunning. The best part? They’re dog friendly! Next time, I’m definitely bringing my dog along. One little tip! If you don’t drive and need a taxi, make sure to book in advance!

We had the most beautiful incredible Christmas stay at Lulworth Lodge. The rooms were super cosy with plenty of space and all amenities that we needed. The food and drink were wonderful, with the Dorset breakfast being an absolute highlight. The location is second to none, we felt like we were in the film the holiday! The hotel is a couple of mins walk from the beautiful sea front, with so many gorgeous walks just on the doorstep. The best part though has to be the hospitality which was second to none. Special thanks to Clare, Edward and Radu who were absolutely brilliant from the moment we arrived. Clare you made our Christmas so thank you so much :) couldn’t recommend this place more for a cosy, quiet and picturesque getaway!

I opted for the crab as a starter, which was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. For the main course, I had the the catch of the day, which was cooked to perfection—tender, juicy, and full of vibrant flavors. The attention to detail was evident in every bite. To finish, I couldn’t resist the white chocolate, and it did not disappoint—decadent, rich, and absolutely delicious. Service The service at Lulworth Lodge was exceptional. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. Our server, Jamie and Ellie, took the time to explain the dishes and even offered some great wine pairings. We never felt rushed, and every course came at just the right time. Ambiance The ambiance of the restaurant is a perfect balance of chic and cozy, with dim lighting and tasteful decor that create a warm, inviting atmosphere. We had a lovely pre Christmas trip here. Some highlights were the lovely breakfast that is included in the room price; location; the bed was really comfy and the service (special shout out to Ellie who was super accommodating and friendly.) A few considerations - we stayed in the single snug which was fine for two people but you are missing a second bedside table and there is not much moving around space. Also, the room is right next to the main stairs so bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper.

We had dinner here for two nights, and the food did not disappoint! Everything was amazing — the starter prawns were an absolute standout. For mains, the Jurassic chicken and the burger were our favourites. The atmosphere was great, and the service was lovely. Definitely recommend booking a table, as it’s a popular spot!

This small boutique hotel was lovely. If you have difficulties with uneven surfaces and steps/slopes this is not the place for you as the entrance has not the best access. Not many rooms and you have to be careful which you choose. Ours (the lookout) had a lovely view and four poster bed but it was very cramped. Our friends had larger rooms with supposed views of the sea but too much tree growth made them a bit dark and no view except the garden. The staff however were exceptional and the food excellent. Definitely a proper chef. Of our 3 night stay we chose to eat there twice as it was so good. The breakfast was all fresh and well presented also with some unusual choices in addition to norm.

This was one of our best mid-week get away destination. Lulworth combines the beauty of vast greenery, the calm ocean, limestone rocks, and the hidden treasures of the lulworth cove and nature’s art of the Durdle door. The lulworth lodge was comfy and spotless. The staff were warm and hospitable. We did not get a chance to experience the famous Nordic sauna treat. Will definitely visit again.

I stayed her with my partner, we were able to check in a couple of hours early at no extra cost which was amazing and much appreciated. The rooms are small, but very clean and perfect for what most people would need, they also gave us a room with outdoor space which was a lush little extra. The location is 12/10. The only negative about our stay was the food. It was expensive which is absolutely fine, and expected. However we ordered the fish and chips. The fish batter was really soggy and not cooked underneath which was really upsetting, the cod itself was cooked though (thankfully), one of the young lads working really didn’t want to be there and didn’t actually speak at all when acknowledged or asked for anything. Other than that can not knock it.

Great location, excellent food and service. Warm and toasty log fire. Bit on pricey side, but given the ‘ravages of Reeves’ I can understand why, and at they are surviving. Recommended.

We booked a table here on a Sunday morning for breakfast (we were staying out of town) as the brunch looked great. After a false start where we were turned away as the “kitchen were running very behind,” we were allowed to stay as we pointed out we had a booking. The staff member wasn’t very friendly and did seem stressed. We then had to ask where we could sit as she had started to walk away. Thankfully there wasn’t a delay with our food and we both enjoyed what we ordered. The coffee is from a professional Nespresso machine and definitely nowhere near as good as barista or bean to cup coffee, so this could be improved.
