Arrived at 5 p.m. on a Saturday. There were three tables taken. 15 minutes later the place was packed. Atmosphere is surprisingly quiet and very welcoming. The owner made a few passes to make sure everything was good. Food was delicious. We ordered Chicken and eggplant parm, fries and cocktails. Everything was superb. Our waiter did an excellent job addressing our needs without seeming nosy. My only regret is that I didn’t get the waiters name to express my thanks. Keep up the great work Joey!

Joey Z's is an excellent place for food and atmosphere. The owner helped us at our outdoor seating area with our 2 small dogs in a baby carriage. Food was terrific, service was timely, and Joey himself seemed to be there for his clients with personality and flair. He took his time to share some history with us as well as entertain some other customers. Very positive to see him interact so well with his staff from the waiters to the everyone on board. Highly recommend this place if in Port Jefferson.

We visited Joey Z’s for the first time today for breakfast and were not disappointed! We loved the atmosphere; such a quaint restaurant. The service was excellent. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. We ordered from the specials menu: Coconut Croissant French Toast and Avocado Omelette. Both were amazing! We are definitely coming back!

Just had my daughter’s baby shower here. I can’t tell you enough how wonderful it was. From the ambiance to the waitstaff to the food. 5 stars isn’t enough!!! I highly recommend and will be more than delighted to have future parties here. All of my guests said how much they enjoyed the food and they will be coming back. This is the spot! Sean was our wonderful waiter, he engaged in conversation with my uncle, very friendly fellow… He made sure we were take care of. There are very pretty lights hanging from the ceiling and Christmas music playing, creating a cozy environment. It was very crowded, make a reservation! (Even though we did not, we were still able to be seated after a short wait) It felt so nice to walk into the heated building after being in the freezing cold. We were met with a very friendly staff and very clean table. Delicious apps, multicultural menu. Enjoyed our entrees! Overall had a great experience.

Service was amazing! Despite the very packed restaurant we were well tended to and our sever Sean always checked in with us. The environment was warm and welcoming with lovely lights lining the ceiling and very very friendly staff. The food was excellent and there was much variety in cuisine. The servers and staff were all very polite and amazing at their jobs. Overall would recommend!

Wow! What a great find!!! Amazing food and amazing service!!! You can order breakfast, lunch or dinner. We ate in many places in Port Jefferson, and this was by far the best! Please check them out, you won’t be disappointed! Thank you Joey for your hospitality and thank you Sam for the great service! We will definitely be back next time we are in town!

Me and my family came here for lunch after visiting Stony Brook University. The staff were really nice and the food came really fast! The menu had a lot of variety and many dishes to choose from. The portions were really big and kept us very full.

I get a bit worried when I see so many items on a menu, and have flashbacks to my diner days growing up in Queens NY, so I was more than pleasantly surprised at the quality of food, personable service, and super clean atmosphere here. I had the Gyro Pita: excellent all the way around. Highly recommended.

I recently dined at Joey Z's restaurant with my family, including three adults and my 12-year-old son. Our meal consisted of linguine with pesto and chicken, a mouthwatering margarita pizza, and delectable fried calamari mozzarella sticks. I must say, the food was beyond superb—every bite was bursting with flavor and left us wanting more. Additionally, the service was top-notch, showcasing a high level of quality and attentiveness. I can't recommend Joey Z's enough for its delicious cuisine and exceptional service. It was truly a memorable dining experience for us all.

The waitress told us the appetizers and the entrees were made at the same time and rushed to make room for the entrees. The Philly Cheese Steak wasn’t the best. The Thousand Island needed bit more seasoning. The filet mignon kebab was delicious. The staff was nice.

We stopped by Joe's today for dinner for the first time - followed the great reviews. We love mediterranean food. But For us, it was a bit of a miss. 😔 for positives -Tommy was a wonderful server. Very attentive. Salmon was excellent. Pizza was ok. Lemon potatoes were just ok. Saganaki was not edible. Shrimp cocktail was ok, but the shrimp were not deveined properly. Tomatoe eggplant pizza was alright but cold. We expected so much more given the reviews. We wish it was better experience but it wasn't. Perhaps just a bad day.
