One of our favorite stops! Great service and great food! We get the gyros plate every time! We love it, our guests love it. Overall, a hidden gem that is worth stopping for and reasonably healthy for takeout! The staff is friendly, and they are always quick to get our order ready. You never have to wait too long.

We had a great experience here! The food was delicious! We had a gyro combo and a skewer platter, both were great. The tzatziki sauce was on point, which is must for us. Larry was very nice and let us use a small sink to wash our child's hands before we left. That's what I call great customer service!

The dark chicken plate with lamb or number 11, is the best Greek food i ever had. The spicy feta cheese sauce is out of this world! Larry is awesome! Great family place, great service and food, always.

When you live in Ramona and are dying for Greek food, Larry's is the place to go. It's good! The staff is always friendly. I typically order the family meal on the phone and swing by to pickup on my way home.

Very good Greek food in a nondescript strip mall in Poway. Did carry out for 6 people. Santorini special salad and Greek salad with chicken were fresh, nice dressing on the side, and both chicken and gyro meat were well seasoned and delicious. Seems like a family run place, very friendly and grateful for my business. Shop local!

I've eaten at 4 or 5 Greek places around San Diego. This place has by far the best lemon chicken and gyro. Not a fancy place but if you want some delicious food you can't go wrong here. I rarely clean off a chicken bone since I dislike tough tasteless cartilage but here most of it was softer and flavorful.

Okay, this might be a bit embarrassing to admit, but we spent an entire 11 days visiting our family in Poway and ended up ordering meals from Larry’s restaurant a whopping 7 times! The food is incredibly fresh and bursting with flavor. The portions are generous, and the menu offers a wide variety of dishes to choose from. We couldn’t resist trying the chicken kabobs, the delicious Greek salads with their creamy Tzatziki sauce, the juicy gyro meat, and the comforting rice. One day, we even took our grandkids there for lunch. The service and attitude of the staff were fantastic, making our dining experience truly enjoyable. Can't wait for our next visit!!!

I was feeling Greek food after our hike in Poway. Called this place as I wanted a gyro but a lot of places make them with only beef or chicken, while I prefer lamb. Larry's says theirs is a mix of beef and lamb. It was perfectly fine but still prefer lamb. Lots of fries came with it. My wife had the quarter chicken plate. She said she was glad she didn't get the half chicken as it was a lot of food. She enjoyed it. Parking can be a pain. The lot serves a number of places. We were there during the week, just before 1:00 pm, and we had to leave the lot and circle back to find a spot.

Looking for some comfort food? Mr. Larry is your man. The menu is surprisingly diverse so he probably has whatever you may be craving. Want takeout? Call ahead and your food will be waiting for you by the time you get there. Dining in? There's a TV right there and if you ask, you might just get the show you want to watch. I've been going there years and years and he's actually the Pop of the "mom and pop" so give him your support.

Really good Greek food. Was happy with the selection of food choices. We had falafel and lemon chicken. Both were very good. The lemon chicken could have been more lemony, but I like to taste a lot of lemons. Friendly staff and service.

And the sign on the door said " Best Greek restaurant in town", so we were intrigued. Upon entering, we stepped up to the counter and ordered our food. I chose the gyro sandwich and my spouse chose the lemon chicken. The owner was very friendly and was very generous. After we got our drinks from the soda fountain, we sat down. There are maybe a dozen tables with a large TV facing the tables playing one of those home improvement channels, so the atmosphere was more sandwich shop than sit down dining. Our salads arrived quickly and were flavorful with dark lettuce, fresh onions, feta cheese and one black (not kalamata) olive. A black olive instead of kalamata at a Greek restaurant? Uh oh. There were no tomatoes on the salad as well. But the salads were fine, but we both agreed that they could have been better. Our entrees arrived quickly in matching styrofoam containers along with a plastic utensil and a paper napkin. My gyros sandwich is pictured below. It tasted like a gyro, but both my spouse and I agreed it was lacking some undetermined spices AND it also was lacking tomatoes! This was the first time for me dining in a 'Greek' establishment that there were no tomatoes on a gyro! The tzatziki sauce was a light green color and it also was lacking the yogurt taste in comparison to others we had tried. My spouse's lemon chicken was good without any issues. We had some baklava for dessert and it tasted fresh and was very yummy. All in all, it was not a bad experience, just one that was filled with the some small disappointments. Will we return? The jury is out on that one but I doubt that we would make a special trip to Poway for the food when there are better choices elsewhere in the San Diego area. Finally, we checked around and surmised that it is the only Greek restaurant in Poway, so I guess the sign on the front door is true!

Small neighborhood Greek restaurant serving delicious food in generous portions. They cooked their foods right. The chick has golden crispy skin and tasty meat. Their hamburger patty was very large and comes with plenty of fresh lettuce and tomato slices.

Everyone loved their food except for me. I’ve had gyro burgers in the past and it’s a burger with gyro meat on it. Here it’s just a gyro meat in a burger bun with mustard and ketchup. It’s a gross combination. Not what I wanted and a total let down. The fries were great though!

Greek chicken salad used to be the best. Came back for the holidays. Now its 2 day old dry chicken. Salad was fine but whats happened to quality standards. Will not be coming back. The Commercial center its located in is now sketchy as well. Guess CA is going down hard... race to the bottom.

I'm writing a comment on this restaurant due to an incident that happened to me last Jan.04. An employee or claim to be an owner of the restaurant posted a garbage disposal on Offers Up. At first, he gave me the wrong address to meet up. It took 30 minutes for him to reply to the message. After replying to my messages, he went out of this restaurant and called me inside. Took the garbage disposal, and I gave my payment to him, Ozzy. That's his name on the Offers up. I took the item and had good faith in him. Knowing it was posted brand new. This week, I called a maintenance guy to install the garbage disposal and surprisingly found out it was a used and old garbage disposal inside the box. I'm so disappointed and upset. Knowing that so many things are happening around us, there are people like this guy who works in this restaurant, scamming other people. Totally doesn't respect other people and a veteran like me.😞😠

My first time I thought the food was good. I don’t live in the area and went back this restaurant and I was told I couldn’t use the restroom if I don’t purchase anything when my plan was to eat there while I am pregnant. I ordered food and desert the food wasn’t fresh the baklava was old and tiramisu had mold and I actually saw it in the glass case. I wanted to see if the owner was honest and going to offer something else or refund and he took off a bit of mold and gave it to us like that. My husband told him “I think this went bad already it has mold” he put it back in the case and told us do you want a refund or tres leches and I looked at him. Said it was fine. I was so excited to eat there and try the deserts but actually what a dishonest person that would give to customers something rotten food deserts. There was a hair in my food and I don’t recommend this place I honestly am so disappointed disgusted. (What a dishonest person)!!!! Don’t go there! The owner knows very well what he did was wrong!
