This place is always good, Love their self serve salsa bar, and of course the options they have are delicious 😋😋😋. As well as pretty much everything I tried so far. Still...Excellent service and food as always Well other than having a lot More people every Time we're there now, I'm happy to report that they're still the same people, good service and the quality of food hasn't changed, still very good.

Best tasting bean and cheese burrito in SD. Their potato Tacos are amazingly delicious with modified shredded lettuce (not) cabbage, tomatoes and grated cheese.

Love their adobada tacos , burritos , chimichangas and carne asada torta. Their salsas are REALLY GOOD not like in other Mexican places bland and watery. I saw they have tasty breakfast options too so I will try them soon. Place looks modern and clean. Approved by the family !!

Came by for a quick dinner and what I thought was a new place in this shopping center. It looks, feels and tastes just like the place that was here before "The Burrito Factory". Not a big deal, the last place was good and so is this place. It took awhile for my burrito to be made, but that was OK with me - my Diablo Shrimp Burrito was very good and just the right amount of spicy!

The food is SOOOO good. I got the chicken rolled taco plate, they give a great amount of guacamole, the rice and beans are super flavorful and the chicken inside is all white mean, no strange chewy parts. The burritos are big and delicious my boyfriend loves the California surfing burrito. The spicy carrots are bomb, the salsas are bomb, it isn’t too greasy the food tastes like home cooking. Five stars for sure!

Fed my family for $32.00. California chicken burrito is huge and packed with chicken. Carne asada same. Both with side of chips and salsa bar. I purchased two kids meals: 1 quesadilla and that was enough for 2 young kids. I also ordered 1 kids burrito with French fries and comes with drinks. I will def come back but will prob take it to go, with young kids it will be an issue to use the restroom and leave my food at the table. Service was great, food came out fast, and the place is very clean. They do NOT have a bathroom so use the restroom at Starbucks or hold it and bring hand wipes for before/after eating. The burrito in photo is pulled apart - I should have asked for a knife. You could get away with sharing a burrito but I recommend eating it all and thinking about the extra calories later

A few days ago, Ordered/Ate their Carne Asada Burrito. The Carne Asada Meat was delicious/moist. The Flour Tortilla was of good quality and size to hold the meat, guacamole and pico de Gallo. *Overall, I give this burrito a 4.5 stars.

Forget the other reviews this place is amazing. I’ve never found a place like this that’s super consistent and delicious. Other places I’ve been to are only one of those. This place has the best burritos ever I highly recommend the cali surfin burrito it’s by far the best one.

Food was great! Larger portions than most places. Prices are on point for portion sizes. Staff is professional and friendly.

My favorite Mexican restaurant. I love their rolled tacos and get them with everything including lettuce, and I also get a carne asada street taco. They have the best pickled carrots. Just ask for a plastic bag to put them in.

Solid local choice in Poway/Scripps Ranch. Reasonable prices and it’s never been a long wait for takeout. The house salsa is really good and we are repeat customers for fish burrito and shrimp quesadilla. Unfussy but modern vibe if you eat there.

This place recently changed names from El patron to the burrito factory. Seems to taste very much the same but they did remodel it. I quite enjoy their vegetarian burrito and their hot carrots are pretty good as well. I actually really love the fact that they still serve hot carrots because most Mexican food joints don't offer hot carrots anymore. It's a bit of a lost art and I really appreciate when they show their talents in hot carrot form. Anywho, the place is good and the prices are reasonable for the amount of food you get.

Eat here often. Good consistency and food portions are more than enough. Prices are sub $10 range which is good these days. I love the salsa bar. Watch put for that Red Chile seed sauce it creeps up on ya..lol

The Burrito Factory is tucked into a small strip mall off Scripps Parkway. The staff was welcoming, and our order was prepared quickly. They offer a large menu of Mexican-style dishes and serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Compared to other places we've tried, their prices are generally lower. Our meal was two bowls, a bag of chips, and two bottled waters and the total came to $40. We ordered one chicken bowl and one carne asada bowl. At first glance, the portion size looked generous. However, once we started eating, we realized that about two-thirds of each bowl was filled with shredded lettuce. There was an abundance of rice, but the servings of beans, meat, and cheese were minimal. The bowls resembled salads more than the hearty, well-balanced meals we expected. While the quantity was disappointing, the flavors were bold and enjoyable. The chicken and carne asada were both well-seasoned, and the chipotle drizzle added a nice touch of flavor without overwhelming spice. While we didn’t feel the bowls were a great value, we’re open to returning and trying other items from their expansive menu if we're in the area again.

I had the bean tostada, chicken taco, and rolled taco special. It came out covered with cheese and everything was deep fried. Lol! Nice and crunchy. The little salsa bar was nice with pickled onions, limes, hot carrots, and a handful of different salsas. We came in for dinner on a late weekday and it was pretty dead. Only 1-2 other tables with customers.

The fish taco was well battered, decent size, loved all the toppings and sauce. Corn tortillas was not hard. The carnitas taco has so much meat! Very flavorful too, not dry. I will definitely come back to try other items. Make sure you tell them you want the daily specials because the customer behind me did not and the guy at the counter made a stink about it and blamed the customer for not telling him and he’s unable to honor it. I thought that was rude because shouldn’t you clarify with the customer and ask especially when you know there’s a cheaper deal? Like, who wants to pay more to get less when you can get more and pay less? For that reason, I’m deducting a star.

I stopped in for takeout and got the hash brown breakfast burrito. They were good and I would definitely return. Reasonably priced and a big menu. Place was clean and service was great.

We were in the area and decided to give this place a try. We are vegetarian leaning vegan and lately I've been challenging myself to only order and cook food free from meat, dairy, etc. They had a veggie burrito on the menu so I ordered it and asked for no cheese. Now a veggie burrito is pretty simple and the ingredients tend to be fresh. The bad news about this is if any component is lacking it's noticed. In this case I bit into my burrito and it was crunchy. I thought maybe I just got a hard bit of rice or something so took another bite and that had lots of crunchy bits! Clearly old overcooked rice. We took the burritos back as they were both that way and they remade them. The second batch of burritos weren't crunchy but I noted mine had sour cream in it, though sour cream isn't listed as an ingredient! Fortunately I'm far from a strict vegan but this was disappointing. Overall if a "burrito factory" can't get burritos right it's in trouble. And that's where I'll leave this. It tasted decent but I value consistent quality highly and I'm not confident you can get that here. The service was really good. Thus 3 stars.

The shredded taco is one of the worst I have tasted. It beef paste or something unrecognizable.

This is under new ownership. The variety of burgers are gone. The menu has completely changed. The first issue, the place had alot of seats open. And had a list for seating. The servers were saying we dont want to overload the kitchen. Next issue we had a party of 5. With 2 couples in front of us. Well a party of 12 came in and were seated before us. The guys were saying we are going to talk to someone to get seated. And they did . The silverware had a sticker still on it. Makes me wonder if it was washed. I dont know if its the owner or manager. Who worried about talking to people when our drinks were empty. He walked by many times. Last their was now soap in the bathroom. The main reason. This had the best fried zucchinni. No longer on the menu. We will not be going back. Its not the burger factory.

The name and logo drew me in. This is just your regular mini mart American/Mexican taco shop. Ordered carne asada tacos, chicken burrito and rolled tacos to compare with my favorite eatery....there is no comparison. All items I ordered were bland. No seasonings, boring flavor. Even the salsas were bland, except the house red salsa. If you like flavor, don't bother going here, try Yesenia's on Carmel Mountain Road in San Diego.

Horrible experience. Kindly asked the gentlemen that was there as cashier for a restroom in order to wash my hands and he rudely & with attitude said "We don't have a bathroom here!" Food was just not as expected and after the experience it just ruined my first time at this place, making it the last one as well. I'm sorry but I definitely can not & will not recommend this place to friends & fam.

I went yesterday Saturday the 24th of May. I waited for a few customers to finish and order then when I got up to the counter to order The cashier told me that they're not taking cash. She had already cashed out the register and she would not take my order. I waited all that time for nothing That's poor customer service I won't be going back there again

Ordered a CA burrito says it comes with Sour cream and cheese got just meat and fries , and it was the size of a rolled taco and half the ingredients were missing. For 12.00 a total rip off. My son wouldn't even eat it.

Called in an order for a grilled chicken bowl, no cheese (I'm allergic to dairy.) When I got it home it was covered in sour cream (not listed as an ingredient for the grilled chicken bowl.) My husband called back and asked if we could bring it in for a replacement and they said no, they would have to charge me for a replacement. I absolutely cannot believe they would charge me for their mistake. The woman who answered the phone also claimed sour cream is listed on the menu for the chicken bowl, but it clearly isn't. Take out is far too expensive these days to have this kind of attitude toward customers, especially when the mistake was entirely their own.

Been wanting to try this place but has a horrible experience. The place is clean we liked that. But we asked for a burrito Cali which was decent and two meat tostadas. They gave us bean and lettuce tostadas no meat. We showed the cashier and she just said “ Yea the meat is in there somewhere “ not trying to offer to re make it or give us a side of meat that we offered to pay for. Would never be coming back and to be honest there’s better places than this.

We tried chicken cali burrito. It didn't taste fresh. Might never try again. Staffs were friendly. Pungent smell when entering.

Major Price Increase. You just lost a 3 times a week customer because of greed. Beware of this place, not recommended. Used to get the nachos at $8.99 now $15. Unbelievable

It looks like the meat was put in a food processor and literally had the texture of cat food. There are plenty of other places nearby that you can get a really good Machaca Burrito at, go there!!
