Visiting and staying in Pismo Beach with my GF for Valentines day she choose Rosa's Italiano for dinner, we were both impressed with the decor, the staff, and the food. She enjoyed the Rack of Lamb and I a salad with the Shrimp Scampi. If you enjoy Italian then visit.
We haven't been to Pismo since I was Stationed at Vandenberg AFB in 1993/94. I wanted some Clam Chowder and got Rosas highly recommended. Omar had some FANTASTIC menu recommendations, and all was VERY Good, amazing service from Omar and the rest. GO HERE, get the clam chowder and enjoy.
If you like Italian food you can't go wrong at Rosa's. 👌
This place was great. Great food, friendly staff, awesome chef and owner. Highly recommended and must visit.
As usual, little premise, I am Italian. Born and raised, moved to California six years ago. So I am always wary of Italian food. Delightful experience at Rosa's. The food is very good, hearty Italian (American), with no excesses. Portions are large but not ginormous: if you don't fill up on the delicious bread, you can finish your pasta entree. We failed, but we finished the cannelloni as a snack on the day after. I had the meat tortellini with four cheeses, and my wife had the cannelloni (they offered to do one meat and one spinach). Very good. Really nice food, nice vibe, friendly and caring service. I would be happy to come back next time I'm in the area. TUTTO A POSTO GRAZIE!
Can't say enough great things about Rosa's. We have been going for years. Our waiter was terrific, and the food was excellent. My wife loves the California pasta dish. It's a great spot to get some fine wine or a well crafted cocktail.
Me and some friends went there for the first time while staying in Pismo for spring break. We had Thomas as our server and he was amazing!! He checked up on us, got our drinks in a timely manner, and was overall so nice. The busser (who we don’t know his name but he was a ginger and had a buzz cut) was also so nice!! He kept refilling our water and never let it get empty and also removed all plates right away. He offered to box up our food for us and when we said we didn’t want it, he made sure to ask if there was anything wrong with the food or why we didn’t want it (but we were just staying in a hotel so we couldn’t take it). The staff was so attentive to us and I would highly recommend this place, especially request Thomas as your server!!!
As an Italian who lived in the USA for many years and being the daughter of a Master Chef, I appreciate very much Il Ristorante Rosa. We were greeted with big smiles and were served throughout the evening by Brad, a joyful and handsome :-) young men. The food was very good and Brad, was fast and very polite. I highly recommend this restaurant. When in the areas, we'll definitely come by for another good dinner, but this time, we'll bring the whole family: all 7 of us. Grazie mille per una serata che ci ha dato tanta felicita' ed un'immensa nostalgia di giorni passati.
Great food and service. The 45 minute wait was only about 20 minutes! We had zinfandel wine, the shrimp scampi and the shrimp and scallops pasta, with lava cake and ice cream to follow it up! The service and food was awesome! The flavor was scrumptious. Ada’s fish house was too busy and we are soo glad Rosa’s as a backup panned out for our date night! Highly recommend.
Absolutely delicious food and tiramisu was just great! Our host Lizz was just amazing, took good care of us.
Like coming home to my grandma's house. Her name was Rosa, too.❤ The lamb shank was cooked to perfection. So were the scallops, and the steamed mussels in a light wine and tomato broth that we couldn't stop eating. Warm bread and lovely delicate homemade ravioli too. Good service, warm bread, a serene atmosphere, and a good wine selection make the experience complete. My only suggestion would be to offer more wines by the glass. Especially since one person may want a red with their roast while the other may want a white wine with their seafood, of course. Perhaps via seasonal specials? Imagine "Zinfandel month" or "Northern Italian summer". I wanted the Barbera, but just one glass for my entree. It's better than having some of those bottles just sit on the shelf, right? Think about it. That said, the Heart Ranch meritage was excellent. Salute! 🍷
The food and service was impeccable! Their entree and wine lists were impressive And I chose a blend from Hearst Ranch They accommodated my gluten-free request, without any hesitation, with several delightful options. I swooned over my shrimp and giant scallops while eating it and even two days later, I swooned over my reheated leftovers. Who could ever imagine leftover fish being tasty? Certainly not me! I was gratefully surprised.
My partner and I visited Pismo for our anniversary weekend and had our anniversary dinner at Rosa’s. There we met Douglas and his extraordinary staff. We were greeted with a smile at the door and sat in their outside eating area. Everyone was incredibly kind and the food was superb. The person serving us was incredibly helpful with answering our dietary questions (fun fact they have vegetarian options). The ravioli fritti was to die for and I still think about the Tutto Mare! We will be back again =) and thank you Douglas for the complimentary anniversary dessert!
You really would "want to experience" Italian food in order to appreciate this place.. All the fancy words n the menu are intimidating to most and discourages them from wanting to order. If you only knew, ITS JUST THE NAMES OF ALL THE DIFFERENT PASTAS they use and then the rest is in the description for you to anxiously pick because, at the prices these dishes are set at, you have no clue if you're going to like it... The complimentary bottomless warm bread and vinaigrette relieves the undo stress of FIRST TIME ORDERS! The orders are NOT your typical at home dinner plates. The platters are oversized and they come loaded as ordered... The lamb shank, zucchini n squash, Tuscan beans over gluten free noodles was worth it and ill definitely recommend it..
OK, maybe not fair. My wife and I have been coming here for at least 20 years. We love their food. Everyone is so friendl. We've probably tried everything on the menu and enjoyed every dish. The daily chef creations and specials are not to be missed! Every time we come to Rosa's we enjoy our evening.
This place have the best smooth, soft and tasty ravioli! I requested to have lasagna and cheese ravioli combo and they were so nice to do it. The service here were superb, not only that, it's really romantic here and the place is nice (so is the ladies room). But it is a pricey Italian restaurant.
Family of 8 for college graduation experienced attentive & prompt service. Diverse cuisine preferences were all met with numerous selections to choose from. Staff was also helpful in meeting our family picture requests. We'll be back...
Such a great experience! Came on a girls getaway and couldn’t be happier with our choice of restaurant for the evening. Everything from the welcoming hostess to the server, busser and even on our way out, the other employees embraced us with their kindness.
We loved this place! The ambiance was great. They nailed the outdoor dining experienced. The food was exceptional. I ate the Braised short ribs, which was incredible and my wife had the Polenta with sausage and she thought it was awesome. For desert we had Bread Pudding and this was one of the best Bread Puddings I have had. The staff and the service we recievwd was great. We would definitely come back!
A very good family-run restaurant. Traditional Italian food with quality ingredients and good sauces. Generous sized meals, a professional staff, and a nice selection of wines. A relaxed atmosphere.
Absolutely pet friendly and love everything about this place. We were passing by and looking for pet friendly restaurant, besides bar and grills. Rosa’s came to our rescue , there was a wait time for patio seating , it was less then 30 min. Ambience: 9/10 Service : 10/10 Food : 8/10 Loves pets : 100/10
The staff were friendly and welcoming. The service was incredible. The patio was cozy and cute! The food was fantastic.
Roses is the best i had to have surgery, but I wanted to have a really good meal and I wasn’t supposed to really get out of the house but I order my favorite dish and Josh brought it to my car. This is why I love living in a small little town thanks again Josh you’re the best
I can't imagine why this restaurant doesn't have a perfect 5 ***** Star rating! We had dinner there last night and can't wait to return even though we live 50 miles away. Everything was awesome! We didn't wait very long at all to be served what we ordered, and it was all great! Every waiter was dressed so well it reminded me of the years i spent in Rome. Our waiter, Brad, was amazing! courteous, fast, knowledgeable, friendly and very kind. So was Enrique, who constantly went around to refill the water glasses as well as other drinks, and also remove empty plates. The three young girls at the entrance greeted us with big smiles and the whole ambiance was just beautiful. We even enjoyed watching three (3) different groups celebrating birthdays and your gorgeous young servers sang 'Happy Birthday' to all of them - everything was just beautiful! The lamps, the tables, the chairs, the floors, the ceilings1 good job Ristorante Rosa, you definitely deserve Five Big Stars ***** A+++++
Rosa's serves delicious food with attentive service. I had the Pesce of the day, swordfish and my husband had the Summer Pasta special. They both were served hot, very flavorful, along with meeting our special requests, smothered with fresh grated parmesan. The service was perfect, we had a new person bussing our table and she was amazing, our beverages were continuously filled without asking. You won't be disappointed!
We had the most wonderful waitress, wish I could recall her name! Small with black hair, so sweet. I ordered the arugula salad without cheese, the portobello mushroom on top was perfectly cooked and the candied walnuts were bliss. The French beans were also delicious. Another vegan option are the artichokes, which I will try next time. My pal ordered the spaghetti with marinara and said it was really good. Oh!! And that bread!!!
You can taste the love in their food! I always have the lamb shanks, and oh my, the shanks were so tender fall off the bone delicious. They come in a form of minestrone soup with a side of delectable veggies. My friend always has the cioppino dish, which he has been ordering for years. The wait staff are very attentive as always. You will not be disappointed if you choose to enjoy a memorable meal here.
Such a cozy atmosphere with top-notch dishes. The staff made us feel welcome from the second we walked in. Highly recommend!
TL;DR it had me at the bread...and everything else. Good food with generous servings justifies the price ($$$). We wanted to have dinner at Guiseppe's but the wait was 1 ½ hrs long so we went here (our second choice) instead. And boy did Rosa's not disappoint! My sisters ordered lasagna and linguine ala vongole (loads of clams) while I ordered shrimp&scallops pesto cappelini. All we're generous portions and so yummy. My pesto was made fr scratch and there were even some fresh pine nuts in it with lots of scallops (yay 😊) and 5 large shrimps. We had calamari and it was scrumptious and generous in servings (which is good after the severe disappointment with Splash Cafe😒) For appetizers, the portobello mushroom with crab and the calamari and calamari were also good. Between the appetizers and the fresh bread that we couldn't stop eating, we ended up having most of our main course to go 😂. We also got the chocolate mousse with rum (divine!) and tiramisu (why not). Service was good. There were a lot of busboys to ensure attention to service when wait staff was overwhelmed. This is in my revisit tag. Hope they'll never change!
Very attentive and friendly service to begin the meal. We had the best server who provided all the specials by memory. The prosciutto wrapped asparagus was absolutely divine. The Caesar salad had almost a mustard type base which made it super delicious. The shrimp scampi was just okay it was not the type of alfredo sauce that I was thinking it would be, but the individual shrimp were delicious in the meal. We brought our puppy with us and they had water, treats, and a soft bed for her. Overall, a fantastic experience; would highly recommend coming here and would definitely come again.
🥰 Perfect family-of-10 experience 💞 from drinks, to main course, to desserts. The menu had something great for everyone at our table. And the service was impeccable. The baked bread was fantastic! The seafood Tutto Mare, steak, lobster ravioli, and lamb were all incredibly fresh and tasty. Even my picky tween ate his whole plate of chix Alfredo 😆 We love coming back here every year after a beach day!
Wife and I came here for the first time and were completely blown away. The food is absolutely outstanding, the service is first rate, and the atmosphere was perfect for a nice dinner out. Will definitely be back and would highly recommend!
Gotta be honest, we were desperate for Italian food and didn’t want to wait 30-90 minutes for places in Pismo beach where we were staying. Wifey found this place and had good reviews and with minimal wait we sat down. The waitress was polite prompt and helpful, the penne vodka with sausage was great, the garlic cheese bread was delicious. I wasn’t a big fan of my eggplant dish because it was just different than what I had in other places but the sauce was delicious. The best though was the dessert. I love Tiramisu and I’ve been to Italy so I know what it should be like and the owner, who has been there since 1990s wasn’t joking when he said theirs was the best. It was GREAT, I’d drive back for the desert any day if I didn’t live in Southern California.
My wife and I were vacationing in Pismo Beach for a few days and wanted some good Italian food. We came across Rosa’s and they did not disappoint! They start you off with the most amazing fresh and warm from the oven french bread, it is so delicious! We shared the cold bean salad with red potatoes, heirloom tomatoes and fresh parm, and it was so awesome! Not overly seasoned but perfectly flavorful. I had the lasagna and my wife had the spinach manicotti for our main course. Both were absolutely phenomenal and the pasta was the star! Rosa’s has great food, fantastic service and a wonderful atmosphere, it’s a win- win’!
Think old time Italian restaurant - low ceilings, formal architecture, real cloth tablecloths, formally dressed staff. So glad Victor told me about the special - Risotto with Sausage and Mushroom - was amazing. That came with a piping hot loaf of homemade bread. Great time! Highly recommend!
We had a wonderful meal tonight! We split the burrata appetizer and Pasta California. It was the perfect amount of food. Our server was Autumn who was friendly and efficient.
We were visiting Pismo Beach from the Bay Area and had dinner at Rosa's Italian. They are dog friendly and had an amazing patio. The service was awesome. We started with Spaghetti Western, their modification of old fashioned and screwdriver for drinks. The drinks were so awesome and to the point. After that we had Pasta California and Capellini Al Naturale for the main course. The food was delicious. Our waiter Brad made our experience Delightful by making sure he provided recommendations and attending to all our needs. We had a great experience and highly recommend visiting this restaurant if you are in Pismo Beach.
It was a Wednesday night, a delightful choice with no reservation needed. We chose to sit outside, embracing the lovely evening. The warm, delicious bread, served with butter and olive oil, was a perfect start. I indulged in the Chicken Marsala while my date enjoyed the Penne Bolognese—both dishes exceeded our expectations. We didn't have room for dessert this time, but it only means our next adventure here will be even sweeter.
First impressions matter. We opened the door and immediately received a genuinely warm greeting. Less than 10 minute wait for a table for 3 - lucky for us as wait at that other place up the street was 2+ hours. Easy choice to come here. Attentive service from start to finish. Friendly but not pushing the pace. Sorry could not curate the pics…food too delicious to wait. Warm bread is to die for. Spinach manicotti done red/white style was warm comforting and very flavorful. Chicken piccata tender nicely seasoned with just right linguini. Braised short ribs fall off the bone delicious. All amazing yes take home boxes required.
Food was tasty, and they were able to accommodate my vegan dietary restrictions. Friendly and professional staff, decently quick service, and clean facility. Women’s restroom had a baby changing station which I also appreciated!
I had always driven by but never made a point to stop there. Decided to take my wife out for her birthday. The moment we walked in I knew it was going to be a wonderful evening and it was. Bernardo our server was very personable and gave us some suggestions on what to order. The rest of the staff also deserve some recognition as well. We definitely will come back.
Great Italian restaurant in Pismo Beach, CA. Service was excellent and food quality was awesome! Prices are a little more but it's also a more upscale place. They have a good amount of vegetarian options as well. Their bread is amazing! It's great and very fresh as well as the butter is freshly made and tasted spectacular!
We started off with a couple of perfectly made cocktails. Our server Casey was amazing and treated us like royalty. His busser Emilia was at the table right when we needed a refill on water and additional napkins. Clean, quiet and accommodating atmosphere. Food was generously portioned and delicious. If we lived in the area we probably eat here 2-3 times a month.
Great place. The tiramisu was excellent, as were other dishes like the ravioli alla zucca and the burrata with tomato. The pizza crust could be better, but it wasn’t bad. There are plenty of gluten-free options… not just pasta and pizza, but also some other dishes and a few desserts. The service was excellent: our waiter was always helpful and quick. Portions are quite large, especially for those not used to them. Overall, for an Italian restaurant in California, it’s definitely worth recommending.
I was up in Pismo Beach on a business trip and stumbled across this place because all of us wanted some great Italian food. I will admit we were a little under dressed for the environment, but overall, the experience was pleasant. The service was fantastic. Our server was attentive, helpful, and responsive. She read off the specials for the evening, and one of my friends ordered her suggestion, the stew if I recall. The pricing is reasonable for an upscale restaurant overall. Our food was great. I ordered the Bolognese, which was absolutely phenomenal! The food came very fast as well, I really can't find any complaints about this place, great food for fair prices. Go check this place out if you want good Italian! 👍
Rosa's is one our very favorites in our area! Always a fine dining experience all around. We have tried so many dishes and have loved them all. Their bread is warm and soft, it just hits the spot to get things going. Their lasagna is one of our all time favorites, as are the brussel sprouts, pesto, too many! The staff are always nice and very helpful. The atmosphere is classy and enjoyable, their bar is also a lot of fun for some drinks and good company. Our young Daughters love their options from the kids menu, buttered noodles is likely the favorite. Desserts are also delicious, try and save room if you can!

Loved the food! We ordered the Pasta California and the Pesto Pizza. The pasta had just the right amount of sauce. The mushrooms and artichokes tasted great with the sun-dried tomatoes. Overall, I'd order the pasta again. The pizza's crust was crisp, just the way I like it. The Pesto on the pizza made it quite delicious. My only complaint is the service on a busy day. First, they don't take reservations for lesser than 6 people. If you walk in on a busy day, you'd easily have 30-40 mins of wait time. Secondly, the food took longer to be served than I expected.
The food here was mediocre for most of my group. However, the shrimp and scallops dish that I has was pretty tasty. I enjoyed the freshness of the seafood. However, the pasta was a little bland. It could use a little more flavor to complement all the other flavors going on in that plate. The atmosphere was great and easy to talk. It wasnt too loud and service was friendly.
For rosa's i got to start with service. It was so good that it was difficult to not think about it while writing about them. The food was decent and the cocktails were great. I got the old fashioned which was really really good. The Chicken marsala was a little on the sweater side which does not for my taste palette but if that's what one appreciates they might fancy it. Their complementary bread loaf was large and piping got and yummy. The only but its that they served the whole loaf to me alone which means more than half of it was wasted, wish they had smaller loads for smaller groups
Out of towner review: Great local Italian restaurant with made-from-scratch options. So many delicious entrees to choose from, it was hard making a final call but we were happy with our meal choices. Here’s what we ordered: - Caesar Salad (great house made dressing, though the croutons were very stale) - Potato Gnocchj (very delicious and quite spicy, which we loved, but could be intense for some sensitive to some heat in their food) - Chicken Parm (perfectly cooked, came with green beans, which was a nice touch as well) - Fresh bread (of course bread is amazing but this was on another level, yum!) So why the four stars? I had ordered their house wine so assumed a cheaper option. I was given a delicious Cabernet, don’t get me wrong, but the waiter brings out the bill and charges me $18 which was absurd. When we asked about the price, instead of making any change to the mistake he made, he basically told us he picked any option on the screen and charged us. He said to “not tip him”. That’s very unprofessional, not to mention very dismissive of us altogether. Overall, we had a good time at Rosa’s. The meal was great, the house staff and food was excellent, and the experience was awesome, but right at the end there we just got a really sour taste. Hopefully more honesty and communications in the menu options and pricing could be done for people visiting. Enjoy!
First off can I give a shout out to Gracie our server. She was top notch. Knowledgeable, attentive, quick, and understanding. I’ve been here once before with my husband and recommended my best friend to try it on our mini coastal trip. Gracie started us off with a complementary loaf of bread(very generous amount-like a whole loaf) My friend and I order 4 items: 2 appetizers and 2 entrées. For the apps we got the burratta and garlic cloves. (Fair warning garlic cloves on the messier side-to eat) I went for the shrimp and scallops but it wasn’t for me, and Gracie immediately picked up on it and although I am very adamant about not returning food she reassured me she rather get me something I would fully enjoy and so I picked the ravioli (a better choice for me). My friend chose the Chicken Picatta(7/10 for her review). Portions are huge, prices are fair! Location is very close to the coast, lots of parking. We went around dinner without reservation on a Tuesday, no wait to be seated. Restaurant was moderately busy at that time. If you want a nice Italian dinner after strolling the beach, I’d give Rosa a try.
Server was a delight, music was really loud causing guest to talk louder so that was a disappointment. I ordered the 4 cheese tortellini and it was yummy. My husband ordered the chicken picata and thr chicken breast was over cooked and dry, no lemon flavor at all other than the thin slice of lemon on the pasta, was more like a wine sauce. My Manhattan was delicious!
The steamed mussels were amazing!!! The sauce was the best I’ve ever had. And tasted really good with the bread . Even though it’s been over a year I still think about it. Not sure if I’ll ever get the chance to pass through this town again but would definitely come eat here if given the chance. The pizza was okay.
We had a wonderful dinner. The service wasn't the greatest but after I asked our server to please clear some of the used plates before our meal it was slightly better. I'm in a wheelchair and it was a tight squeeze in some places but we managed. The kiddos and my husband loved the food. It was a fantastic place to go with the family.

Average Italian. The bread was excellent and fresh. The seafood based dishes were good, others were okay. Quick and nice staff.
I am italian and I can tell, this is not a real Italian restaurant and it doesn't have real Italian food: Italian dishes are delicate and with the right amount of ingredients: here everything is too much... too much cod, too much garlic, too much pepper, no flavor from shell fish and pasta overcooked. And from the other dish: please do not put chicken breast with linguine, it's horrible, there are completely 2 separated things. Only the waiters were very gentle but the food not sufficient
Being 100% of Italian descent, I might be a bit more demanding when it comes to Italian food. Six of us went back to Rosa's for a second time giving them a second chance and they failed. Service was slow to get going but then they were ready to pull plates from under us. My arugula salad may have contained three leaves of arugula and the rest was spinach. Pasta arrived to the table cold and sticky. They did, as they should have, come back with a more appropriately tempted plate of pasta but with six people eating together that throws timing off. My ribeye steak was tough to cut with a steak knife and full of grizzle and fat. Again, as a person with a strong Italian background and having traveled throughout Europe, yes, maybe I'm a bit more exigent, but this was a terribly unacceptable experience.
This place is "old school" and I get that but it reads as dated not charming. Food is really mediocre and I know there's inflation but 28 dollars for 8 bland raviolis is insane unless you're a fancy restaurant. And this place ain't fancy. I ordered the butternut squash ravioli. no sage to be tasted anywhere on this dish. Skip this spot if you want good Italian. Service is good though. But yeah, not worth it. Also -- I feel like some of these google reviews are not legit.
I'd like to start off by saying the service was great. Our waitress was very kind and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, the food was absolutely terrible. My hubby got the halibut and I had the garlic noodles and we both thought both of our entrees were terrible. I was very upset because we just spent $100 on food that was absolutely terrible. We both left with 80% of our food still on the table after we left. It's really disappointing because we go to Ada all the time and her such great things that we wanted to try it out and it was really disappointing. I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone. Also they're espresso. Martini was disgusting. Espresso martini was very sad

I am not one to write poor reviews about restaurants, I am an easy going person that doesn’t expect much from places I eat at other than reasonable prices, decent food, and most importantly decent …
If you want to take a large group here don’t waste your time. They won’t accommodate you if your party is over 12 people but they say they have lots of tables for large parties on their website. I was willing to go at any time as the mayor recommended this restaurant, so we were flexible. They just lost a $2k tab…
So before I start I just wana say the service was good and the fresh bread they bring you was tasty as well. But The lasagna was absolutely HORRIBLE. One layer of meat sauce on the very top, and then 5 plain layers of pasta with no filling and then the last layer was ricotta. The picture is from my leftovers I took home for lunch the next day and that’s when I took apart the lasagna and found this sad excuse for lasagna. Even stouffers is better.
PROS: * They have some good beer on tap. CONS: * This is not Italian food. * The tortellini was soggy, and smothered in four cheeses, with a strong taste of camembert cheese. * Camembert cheese is not Italian, and tasted horrible on the tortellini! I had to force myself to eat it. * The Olive Garden is better quality than this place. * Too expensive for what you get. EXTRA: This is what happens when people try to get too fancy with their food instead of sticking to tradition.
The environment was the best part about the experience. The waiter did not ask us if we wanted any drinks other than water, waiter also added two sides onto our tab as well as switched one meal we ordered making our total 25$ over the amount we anticipated on paying, when confronted and asked why the extra charge + order change, her response was that she communicated with the chef and decided to make those changes to our meals. Food had little flavor as well. Olive Garden is better in multiple ways.
Ambience was great, staff were wonderful….food was horrible. I got the fettuccine Alfredo. Not sure how an Italian place couldn’t master this simple dish lol I’ve made Velevetta box meal tastier than this. Noodles way over cooked and the Alfredo sauce was watery, not a cream base. Very disappointing, especially for the price. Wouldn’t go back.
We have been going to Rosa's for year. My mom, who lives locally, frequently goes there. During dinner last night, the manager treated me like a 5 year old kid and embarrassed me. I ordered Chicken Parm. It looked like it did not have mozzarella cheese on it. I scraped the sauce and still did not see cheese. I asked them to redo it with cheese. The manager came back with my plate and proceeded to show me (in front of everyone in the restaurant) there was cheese, scrapping my chicken to make a point. Literally going through all my food. It was embarrassing. And I felt like I was being treated like a spoiled child. It would have been so easy to just put a piece of mozzarella on top of my chicken, melt it and be done. Instead, the manager felt he needed to show me there was cheese on it at my table. Is this great customer service? For clarity's sake: 1) Before this, they did get my side pasta order wrong. I sent it back. I wanted angel hair, not the standard penne which I received. 2) The manager, while he was going through my food, did offer to make a fresh chicken parm plate. At that point, I had lost my appetite from how I was treated so I declined. In the future we will be avoiding Rosa's. The food was OK but the customer service is very lacking. And since you are paying close to $40-$50 person, I would expect more.
We ate at Rosa’s Italian Restaurant today and were both disappointed. The ‘lasagna’ had nothing to do with an authentic Italian lasagna. It was missing the béchamel sauce, and the proper layering wasn’t there either. Instead, there was a thick layer of ricotta cheese between clumsily stacked lasagna noodles — something I’ve never seen in a lasagna before. Charging $25 for this in an ‘Italian’ restaurant is a bold move. The service was generally good and very friendly, but it would have been helpful if the server had checked in during or after the meal to ask if everything was okay, so we could have shared our concerns.”
