The staff was very friendly. We had the breakfast sandwich on a croissant and a sticky bun. Both were amazing! I has a basic iced coffee with vanilla and it was perfect! Couldn't have asked for a better way to start my morning!
As perfect as a small town, no frills local type bakery can be. And I mean that in a great way! Getting into this place at 6:30 in the morning on a Saturday, it became very quickly that this was the quick breakfast place of choice for lots of locals. The kind of place where you walk in and they know your name and your order. Breakfast burrito was out of this world. Featuring chorizo, potatoes, eggs, and tomatillo salsa as one of the options, it was as big as my hand, wrapped tight, and weighed about 2 pounds. it’s something really different. I also had the cornbread which they said sold out daily in about an hour or two. Never thought cornbread could taste fresh like fresh corn, but this stuff sure does. Super moist, thick, actual corn pieces in it, and not overly grain like as many cornbread are. Coffee was perfect and we even met some new friends who were candle vendors at the local farmers market.
Had the most delicious peaches and cream pastry here! Service was awesome and kept moving quickly even on a bush Saturday morning. Would recommend!
Everything is made FRESH in house. Quiche, cookies, sandwiches, tasty treats and fresh made espresso based coffees are all available at this wonderful little bakery. Counter-services is fast and friendly. You will find everything from French pastry to Mexican favorites can are served. No public restroom.
Omg that chocolate coconut tart hit the spot! Their quiche was unbelievably silky smooth that I wish I ordered two! I regret not getting the almond tosca which look so good that the I can only imagine how buttery and crunch it would be. Will definitely go back! Tips: ask the staff to warm the quiche a little bit longer as the bottom of mine was a little bit cold. It still taste good but it would have been even better if a little bit warmer.
Definitely the place to go if you want some amazing baked goods! We had trouble deciding, and ended up with 2 pastries and 2 breakfast croissants, and were very pleased with all of them. Prices were incredibly reasonable as well.
Really lovely veggie sandwich and apple pie. Coffee was okay. They make all the bread themselves and you can watch them prep for the next day in the back room.
Bella is one of my favorite spots in Calistoga every time I visit. The pastries are insanely beautiful and delicious and you can't beat the coffee. And if you aren't in the mood for bakery items, they have delish burritos and breakfast egg sandwiches. Check out how intricate the cinnamon rolls are my pics. 🤯🤤🫶🏼
Excellent baked goods, beautifully displayed in a historic looking building. Coffee next door was excellent too. I had the quiche and a soft pretzel wow both were really excellent. I plan to eat just the quiche but ended up eating them both with my coffee. This is the kind of place I would expect to see in San Francisco, my hometown, or in Healdsburg or someplace like that in the North Bay but not in Grand Rapids of all places but then that shows how much I don't know about Grand Rapids and how much I need to see!
I love this place! I'm here at least once or twice a week and there is always something new and exciting to eat! Mostly, I come for a copy and a breakfast sandwich, but their cookies, pastries, cinnamon rolls, quiche, and sandwiches are all divine! you are looking for a great new hangout for coffee and a pastry or visiting the area and just want a good cup of coffee and a breakfast sandwich this is the place to come!
We tried Bella Bakery during our stay in Calistoga. Fresh everything… we tried the quiche and a sticky bun! Both delicious and fresh. The sticky bun was so flaky! I wanted to try everything! 😊
Great place for morning coffee and little something else. Planty to chose from : croissant s, turned overs, pies, quiches and many more..enjoy!

We liked this place so much, we went back the next day. Just an amazing selection. We had the Quiche for breakfast; one ham & cheese and one roasted vegetables.
Bella Bakery is an absolute gem. From the moment you walk in, it feels cozy, welcoming, and full of the kind of care you can taste in every bite. But the real star of the show was the bacon cheese quiche… truly phenomenal. Perfectly flaky crust, rich and silky filling, and bacon that was savory without overpowering the balance. The cheese was melted just right, tying everything together into something comforting and indulgent without being heavy. It’s the kind of quiche you think about later and start planning your next visit around. Bella Bakery clearly knows what they’re doing, and they do it with heart. I’ll be back from kansas one day, and I will absolutely be ordering that quiche again.
Wandered into this wonderful bakery this morning and ordered a croissant and coffee. The bakery is fresh and as good as the best bakery that you have ever experienced. Everything is made from scratch and fresh. The coffee is also exceptional! Talked to the owner and he is a great guy that really puts his heart and soul into his business.

My boss uses to say that the hallmark of a great croissant is that the layers are so flaky that you can't help but make a mess. Bella's pastries are definitely flaky and messy in a good way. We got a turnover, a spinach feta croissant, and a peach and cream filled croissant. The turnover was amazing, the spinach feta was a little sweet (like the dough had been dusted with a little bit of sugar) which I didn't love but it was still pretty good, and the peach would have been better if the peaches weren't from a can but it's the middle of the winter so can't really complain. It's definitely not a cheap place but it's worth a stop while in Calistoga.
Nice, and busy, little bakery full of variety. The lemon bar was rich and heavy in a good way. The berry crumble crisp bar was more crisp than berries and a bit dry, and not very sweet. It was more like a large soft granola bar with a hint of berries. It was good, and I would try other things there if in the area, but not a spectacular first experience.
I have only been here once while visiting Calistoga, but I wanted to leave a review because I noticed most of the other reviews are about the pastries. I want to put a plug in for their lunch options - my friend and I were super hungry after wine tastings, and needed lunch at almost 2pm. We stopped in Bella for coffee and were excited to see that they have hot pizza slices, quiche, and meat turnovers. The turnover was excellent - buttery and savory with meat, potatoes, and carrots. The pizza was a little gluey but very tasty and satisfying, and my friend really liked her bread pudding and massive slice of quiche. The coffee was also decent. If you need a quick lunch in a pinch in Calistoga, definitely give it a try!
Pastries and coffee are good. Free wifi but no electricity outlets. They have a bathroom, but I get the feeling it is for customers only. Location is great if you're walking around Calistoga and need to stop in somewhere. I usually come to this coffee shop in the morning when I am in Calistoga.

The staff is very friendly. But the breakfast burrito tortilla was soggy and the eggs tasted like they came from a powder. The pastry was also mediocre..didn’t feel the love in it. Unfortunately not on my list to go back
very nice staff however very weak flavorless coffee. The dirty chai is premade and is way too sweet. Their pastries are also subpar.
