Amazing Food. A must try. I tried several items and they were all good. The service and atmosphere was upbeat and fun too

This is one of my favorite restaurants in bucerias. A combination of Japanese/Thai food. I enjoy eating here and sitting by the window watching people walk by. But the best thing is that food. You cannot go wrong with the food selection. The taste is amazing. And I live in Vancouver, BC where Asian cuisine is one of the best. Every time I visit this restaurant I go away thinking that I will return as soon as I can. And I will. I did a review of this restaurant half a year ago and will continue to do so as long as it is shown on my timeline. Highly recommend a visit if you are in the mood for Asian cuisine in bucerias.

Incredible, and pretty close to a once and a lifetime experience. My husband had gone deep sea fishing and brought home fillets of a 90lb yellowfin tuna they caught. We were staying at a resort but really wanted to use the fish up. The same day he brought home the fillets I had called this place and asked (without much hope) that they would be able to make us some sushi with the fish he had caught. The manager paused for a second, then laughed and said “sure! Bring it in…” I was expecting some basic sushi, but what we got was an absolute culinary experience. It was a real testament to how skilled the kitchen staff were with creating a whole meal with the tuna we brought in. Seseme seared tuna, sashimi, tuna ceviche, and the best sushi I have literally ever had in my life. Such unique rolls. I would definitely recommend this place and next year when we come back we will surely make this a must stop on our travels.

We celebrated my mom's 60th bday here! We decided to leave our all inclusive resort to eat dinner at this restaurant. it was recommended by our concierge. We enjoyed every single dish! The appetizer selection was great and had a variety. I really liked the hamachi serranito and the tuna tataki. We also especially enjoyed the La Estancia cocktail. Angel was our waiter. He was very attentive and friendly. He also brought out a chocolate brownie + ice cream to celebrate my mom's bday. We will come back when we visit in this area again. Muchas gracias por todo!

Visited Mikoh for the first time today after moving to Mexico - I was looking for more "authentic" Japanese food rather than fusion and I got that here at Mikoh. Their tempura and gyoza was super yummy and so was the crunch roll. Definitely a gem hidden in Bucerias with friendly and wonderful staff! Definitely our new fav spot❤️

Amazing sushi! Better than Tsunami sushi in Puerto Vallarta. The wasabi is not very strong (I wish it was) we had the pink lady, dragon, California and a spider roll. We requested no mango on the dragon roll. Everything was super fresh, delicious and the rice was cooked pretty well! (Not super gelatinous like at some sushi places in the area) the tiramisu was wonderful. The lady fingers are soaked a bit too long in the coffee but still amazing.

Wow - was so stunned to have such excellent sushi while visiting Bucerias. This restaurant knows how to treat its customers. Sushi was some of the the best I’ve ever had. Had the Spicy Tuna Roll, Crispy Roll, and Hamachi Roll. They are all favorites. Passion fruit cocktail and Corn cake for dessert. Every part was amazing! Thanks to Richard and his crew for such fantastic service!!

We come to the bay 2-3 times a year and dont usually eat sushi cause we eat it so much at home. My wife, however, had a wild hair on this trip and our daughter has siliac. They were so attentive and cautious about needed modifications and the food was great. Gracias Ricardo para una noche especial. We will be back

Arrived Sunday night at 9pm after being turned down at two other restaurants that kitchens were closed. So glad we found Mikoh!! Everything was prepared fresh and it was piping hot. I ordered spring rolls, spicy edamame and Rice bowl with chicken and beef, Summer roll, eel and taro sundae for dessert. The Naha (sp?) passion fruit drink they were featuring is delicious. Service was attentive and fast. The location is brand new, and they have a few IG fun walls to take pictures at.

This place was AMAZING. Yobani was and his team were very curious and respectful. They gave us great recommendations and the "Rock Shrimp" were beyond delicious. Especially if you like spicy. Highly recommend this place!

Truly excellent. Moses was a fantastic server for our dinner, making sure everything was perfect. The sushi was very fresh and tasty. The salad was so delicious, cocktails original and well mixed. We left full, happy, and excited to come back. Wonderful wonderful place and highly recommended.

We stopped by Mikoh based on our AirBNB host’s recommendation and we loved it. It is a really pretty place but not one you’d notice walking by. The food is a fusion of Japanese and a little bit of Thai food. We started with mocktails that were really delicious, I had a red fruit with passion fruit cocktail, and my boyfriend had a guava cocktail. Then we got edamame, special fried rice with vegetables and avocado, salmon-macha rolls, and tempura rolls. Everything was delicious but the special fried rice is seriously outstanding, I have eaten a lot of fried rice in my life being Chinese-American and all, this is among the best I’ve had. The sushi was fresh and well made. Our server, Gerardo, was attentive and so helpful with his explanations. I highly recommend this place. I will dream about the fried rice.

Richard was an absolutely amazing waiter, any questions we had he answered right away with amazing recommendations! The food was very tasty and filling I would highly recommend this spot to anyone in the area looking for sushi.

Excellent food (and we are foodies), excellent service and excellent ambiance! We were so pleased and will be going back when we return to Nayarit next time. Highly recommend! And I asked for a special roll that the chef prepared with yhe fresh fish of the day and it was excellent!

We came here for my birthday dinner! Restaurant was clean & had a beautiful vibe to it! We started off with Edemame & Hamachi Serranito (perfectttttt). We had couple cocktails that were also delicious. We had the Salmon Macha roll, Banana Maki Roll, Dragon Roll, and Tropical Roll - all exceptional. Our waiter David Palacios was awesome, very attentive and serviceable! Will definitely go back 🤩

Remember when you get ethnic food in Mexico, it's basically Mexican food with a japanese (or fill in the blank) twist. Still, great ambiance and delicious cuisine.

What a great experience. We sat at the bar right in front of the head chef on a Saturday night. The place wasn’t very crowded and service was excellent. We started with a Negroni and warm sake which were delicious. The Thai coconut and shrimp soup was outstanding! We had a salmon roll and sashimi, and the chef made us a beautiful hand roll with seared pork belly - WOW. We will definitely return.

This place is great! We’re visiting from Los Angeles and this place is by far better than a lot of places there. Our waiter Carlos was top notch professional. You won’t regret coming here. We spent an average of 35 USD per person. Very well priced for excellent quality.

Have been multiple times now. Their menu is incredible! Their sushi rolls are so delicious. Every time the family comes to Bucerías we always make sure to eat at Mikoh!

Food is amazing. Service was top notch. Our server Sofia was great! Skip the ramen but everything else is delicious. It's a little loud but not bad.

Food was amazing! We had tempura shrimp, gyozas, chicken satay, dynamite rolls and mixed tempenyakki(sp?) all was amazing, their drinks were next level. Highly recommend

MIKOH is awesome! Carlos is great very tentative to your needs. The rolls were delicious, as well as the drinks. Great price for excellent food. You won’t regret coming here.

Alex our server was outstanding. We had white wine and several appetizers. The Gyoza and spring roll and chicken satay with all the fabulous sauces were perfect. This is a MUST try when in the greater Puerto Vallarta area. Well worth the drive for this kind of quality, service and atmosphere. Likely the best Asian food you'll have while visiting. The Szechuan Beef was so good I'm currently sitting outside the restaurant waiting for it to open for lunch so I can go get it again - back to back days!

We went to Mikoh’s for supper. It was a wonderful experience. Sofia, our server made it so. She’s professional and engaging with a wonderful sense of humour. She helped us make our menu selections. The food was amazing. The ingredients were fresh and the food was delicious.

Some of the best food I'VE EVER HAD! Great atmosphere and service as well. It was so good that we tried their sister restaurant "Meat Meet" and were JUST as pleased!! Can not recommend either enough!

A pleasant experience but we received one item that we did not order, an addition in the end that added to our eating experience. What we did order Gyoza - definitely a 5, very soft but not doughy, packed little morsels packed with flavour. The California Maki was delicious but the creamy texture was overwhelming and somehow became the primary flavour in each bite. Their version of a Teriyaki was delicious, a bit salty, and could use a small bowl of rice to come with the order. The mysterious Tacos - crispy morsels with tuna - they were ok but not to our liking, perhaps because we didn’t select them this isn’t a fair review. We found the staff quite friendly, service reliable - the atmosphere was pleasant and we enjoyed sitting looking out at the street view. Have to say the Sangria was amazing and one of the best I have had. Overall yes we would recommend, however, prices are pricey though compared to other similar venues.

Food is generally very good, especially the fresh tuna selections. Try the tuna tostadas. However, the nigiri is just ok, not nearly as good as Aki in La Cruz. They have a variety of innovative cocktails. Service is excellent.

The food was absolutely amazing we ordered a lot. Two different rolls, pork belly, chicken kebab, Mixed tempanyaki, a rice dish, and drinks. Food was super fresh, great presentation, great sauces I do recommend the restaurant. However, I do not recommend Martin as a waiter. Not only was he a bit rude throughout our dining experience which is also on DAY 1 of our trip. So after a while we decided to get our food to go and just enjoy it in peace at our air b n b. When the bill came. It was $97 USD ( tax included) . We left $120 USD with $23 USD as a tip. Which is $31 Canadian too. However $19.40 would’ve been 20%. So we found it sufficient as how our service was. We know they make money mainly from tips as do servers back home. He infront of all the tables around us too loudly counted out and spread out the cash on our table. He said that tipping $23 on $97 was not enough. He needed more. He demanded at least another $10 otherwise he wasn’t going to leave our table. Feeling incredibly uncomfortable we paid it and immediately left. Due to this alone, we for sure won’t be back. The food was good but not worth the embarrassment and truly for mediocre and slightly rude service to HAVING TO TIP 34%!!! We will not be recommending any of our friends go either. Actually the opposite.

We love this spot, but we made a reservation on Open Table and they didn't respect it. Told me it would be an hour or more wait. Super sad we waited for this only to be turned away.

Yesterday we have been scammed unfortunately, partially to our own fault... My advice is, if you are paying with a card, double check the amount you are paying, don't shy away to pull out your 🤓 glasses. A young waitress was taking our payment on a portable debit machine from my husband. She was entering in the amount, then asked if we would like to add a tip. My husband gestured with his 3 finders and clearly said: three hundred, you could not misunderstand (that was about 20% of the bill). For making a mistake her excuse could have been that she accidentally punched in the wrong number (not even beside each other on the note pad) Then she presented the machine to put in his personal code without confirming the total amount (she already skipped that part on purpose). He received a small printed receipt with tini-tiny letters and numbers, he didn't analyze it at that time, just put it in his pocket. A while later, once he emptied his pockets, took a closer look at the receipt...then he realized that the waitress added a 500 pesos tip! By then it was too late to go back and complain. The problem is not the 200 pesos that we got overcharged, I guess you understand that. But it is the priority. Is this the way they treat their trusting customers? Making extra money a sneaky way?! While there, another little insident has happened. I would not bother to complain about that otherwise. Our waiter knocked over a bottle of beer from tha table to the floor (interestingly the glass didn't brake), it was still about 1/3 full; did not even offer to replace it (?), just took is away. The food was good, but it has left a bitter taste in our mouths. I am not a complainer, but I think that the owner should be aware of what their employees are doing (that could ruin the reputation of the business) and this insident will happen to others.

Food did not all come out together for the four of us, one was hotter spice than the other when ordered. Waiter did not state which was hotter so we assumed, which we should not have done. 10 minutes later, the fourth person’s food finally arrived. Was too hot spice wise, nothing was done to correct the issue. Trying hard, but not there in service.
