I was absolutely delighted by my 9 dragons dining experience! I haven't had good, authentic Chinese cuisine like that in years! Sadly all the eat in Chinese restaurants around the area have closed and we have had to revert to using the take out places that leave much to be desired! No atmosphere, food never quite makes the grade, I haven't had authentic pork fried rice in years! Lately it's that yellow boxed whatever you want to call it rice that I would never call fried rice! But today was different! I decided to treat myself and go visit an old hang out that had changed ownership some years ago. I went during lunchtime and as I walked in the ambiance was awesome! Serene and authentic as dine in Chinese restaurants of yesteryear! The red wine colors decorated the chairs and tables as delightful Asian music played in the background. I was seated right away and to my delight was brought over a kettle of oolong tea! My favorite. The buffet consisted of a good variety of favorite Chinese dishes! There was also shrimp with assorted sauces to pick from plus many desserts to tempt the palate! I visited the buffet twice and had my fill! The staff was quick and gracious ! And in the end my bill came to a very affordable $13.90! Not bad at all! Needless to say I will be back for sure...many times indeed! PS...the fried rice was authentic pork fried rice! Not that yellow substitute they try to pawn off to us at the take out establishments! Go treat yourself! You won't be disappointed!

So today I called in and dude knew my order!🤣 I absolutely love Nine Dragons. It's my favorite fried rice. It's probably the place I've ordered delivery from the most. Honestly delivery is usually faster or right around the time frame they give so I've never had any complaints and the food is always been hot and delicious. Sometimes I order a little extra and then warm it up the next day bring and it into work like I made it myself. Chest out...just strutting. They know though. They know. If I had any complaints they would probably be that there's not enough free vacation giveaways for the staff or the choice in elevator music. I like you guys. Nice job

This was our first time ever going down of the best Chinese food I probably ever had. We went when it was slightly busy but they constantly had our fresh food that was extremely delicious! They had great friendly fast service. I definitely see this as one of new favorite restaurants and recommend going for sure!

Great food for a buffet. I’d be happy to receive any of the dishes as part of an individual meal from a non-buffet. Compared to other buffets the sushi was great, and I also really like the salt and pepper shrimp. Soup, Classical Chinese dishes, and dessert selection all great. Absolutely can’t beat the price too.

Absolutely delightful meals, from perfectly cooked sushi to the succulent meat, I couldn’t stop eating despite not having an appetite! The sweets are on an entirely different level as well, the chocolates are stuffed with marshmallows and are always divine. I really love coming to 9 Dragons. The service is great and the food on the buffet is awesome! They offer all kinds of entrees ranging from Pepper Steak to Veggie Lo Mein to Chicken and Broccoli. Several soups are always offered and your beverages come with the buffet. The servers are always polite and attentive. Love the atmosphere. Only $12.99 for lunch buffet everyday except Sunday. The food is fresh and tasty. Vegetables are beautiful. Peel em and eat em shrimp. All you can eat. Have eaten here dozens of times. I've never gotten sick. My entire family likes this place. As well as my friends.they also have sushi, fruit, salads, desserts. You'll really enjoy this restaurant.

It was pretty calm the day we went, not super crowded or anything. There was a wide variety of food to choose from and I couldn't say a single bad thing for any of the stuff I got! The customer service is 100% the best. If you are looking for fresh hot food and clean service this is the place to be. The wait staff are so pleasant and attentive it feels 5 star rating is underrating this place I would give them a solid 10. No I do not work here either. We had 7 people and each one of us felt like we were takin care of she remembered our orders correctly and the food came out within 15 minutes. The pricing for the food is cheap and the proportion size was massive. I highly recommend stopping by this beautiful place. Kid friendly and the inside is gorgeous

Went there on the way back from Killington. Definitely satisfied the pangs for Chinese buffet. Decent variety of standard buffet items. Keep in mind this isn't gourmet food or authentic Chinese cuisine so don't go in expecting fancy. But the place is clean, buffet items get refilled quickly and there's lots of food.

Very clean, well-decorated interior. Dozens of beautiful dolls on display with fine Chinese clothing. Friendly service. Prices are good for typically Chinese offerings. During the Pandemic the buffet is not available. The fish entree was not available on the Friday night we visited. Good portion size, but served at the table with styrofoam and plastic cutlery.

All the food was hot tasty and refreshed regularly. The staff was very friendly and kept up with the dishes on the table. There was a little bit too much soy sauce in the fried rice for me. Will definitely go again.

It's not the best Asian food ever but it's pretty good and at a very reasonable price for a buffet. I would recommend not arriving right as they open at 11:00 though, because some slobs who frequent here get pretty animalistic right as the the staff puts the first trays out.

Love this place. The food is delicious and they have a wide selection which seems to change occasionally (spare ribs one week, rib tips this Sunday at lunch). I'd recommend going when it's busy because that's when the food seems to be refreshed more frequently. They put out multiple new trays during our visit. My only complaint would be the dessert section being made up of prepackaged store items, and pudding left out under the lights. All in all, more than happy to keep returning to this business and supporting immigrants building their slice of the dream.

The buffet is regularly filled with fresh, usually hot food, it all tastes good, but maybe not quite what you expect when you read the name cards. The General Tsos was good but subdued on the spices compared to other places, but the pork dumplings, beef egg rolls, and honey chicken were wonderful. Atmosphere feels sort of "over authentic", like out of a movie, but its comfortable and clean, great for lunch or dinner, alone, a date, even a party (they have tables for 8+) and the Service is quick and attentive

Good food, although missing some staples like coconut shrimp or chicken. Staff was attentive to replenishing the buffet as things ran low, as well as removing plates and refilling your drinks. Got very busy at weekday lunch time, but plenty of tables. Plenty of selections, and reasonably priced for lunch buffet ($13).

Nice large parking lot, atmosphere was great, food was good and pricing wasn't horrible. We had a larger party of people, the waitress seemed overwhelmed. Most of our drinks never came and once they did it was near impossible to get refills. The place wasn't busy but they seated everyone so far away from each other the waitress was running around like crazy. We did buffet, good spread of food and a ton of things for kids.

Price and staff both are decent, but I've never seen a mussle that had a plant growing in it or shrimp that has what looks like mold

Been patronizing this establishment for years and it is usually a 4 star, BUT this time, I found that the buffett food was not hot. That lowers the food to 3 stars. Seated quickly, food quality was good, as well as price. If the steam tables were hotter, a definite 4 would have been given.

There is only a buffet otherwise I would definitely have given a higher review.

This was a great place when Monty owned Chinatown and the new owners opened 9 Dragons. Prices were around $9 for lunch and $11 for dinner. Unfortunately it has changed. Prices are now about $11 for lunch and over $17 for dinner. The difference between lunch and dinner used to be king crab legs at dinner. Now there is no difference between what is served at either. No crab legs. I understand inflation and creepy Uncle Joe has caused prices to rise but Chinese food is where you go to get all you can eat at a low price. The food wasn't bad but not good enough for a $17 per person dinner.

1st time there today went at 12pm for lunch, service was good and food had a good flavor but was not hot or even warm that much. The selection was good,unless you wanted wonton soup which was missing the wonton. I'm sure if the health inspector came in to check the temperature of the food they would get In trouble.

Food is good as always. Only issue is the waitress, they speak very low and gets our drinks messed up and keep coming back every second to grab plates one by one. But other than that it’s a good buffet

There wasnt a lot of people there whem we went in. Food is good but, it's a buffet only. Seats are all covered in plastic, very odd. Bar area is all closed off and looks like a daycare. They don't serve alcohol. Don't speak English well, the waitresses seem kind of rude.

A lot of the food was cold when I was getting it from the buffet. The only time it wasn't was when they just brought it out. Most of the flavors were good, a few were off, like salt and pepper chicken being awkwardly sweet. The dessert section is opened boxes of little Debbie's on plates.

The food wasn't that great. The sweet and sour chicken was over cooked, the ribs too. They did have other options thank God. We probably won't go back. Main moon is better for food. The service was awesome though. If you're looking for ok food with good service this place is for you.

love asian buffets, this was was ok. main complaint was the food for the chicken section was cold and some of the meats (wings, meat on sticks uh not sure what they called dang) were rather hard/tough, but on my second round seems like they warmed it up. their vegetable options are great for our friend who only eats meat on certain days. lunch special as of this writing is 13.90 which is a phenomenal deal. interesting thing is they give you the check without prompting them, even though there's no specific time limit that i'm aware of, i suppose that's their notion to kick you out soon and they will peek at your receipts prior to you leaving lel. no ones rude or mean but i just found that part to be a bit odd.

I never been to this establishment before today and I am unlikely to go again. I was on my way to another restaurant before their sign caught my eye. There was a big free parking lot. I went during the lunch hour. No where did the sign mention that this place is a buffet. I walked in and everyone working was wearing masks. The woman who greeted me asked how many I said one she walked around from the register to the back where I could not see her then I heard a soft spoken voice to follow. I turned my head to the left and peered behind the wall to my left and the woman asked me what I wanted to drink as I followed her to the soda machine. I thought I was being escorted to a table. I realized then it was a buffet. I asked if I could sit anywhere and she said no; I set your table back there. Where? The first table… I walked back dropped off my things and the woman brought my soda I said thank you but she didn’t respond just walked away. I proceeded to the food court. There was a big selection. Multiple soups to choose from. Multiple entrees. Most of the food was lukewarm. It was tasty. They also had sushi. Which I thought was interesting and appreciated. The place was clean. There was a section to the right of the entrance where multiple staff were peeling string beans. I really enjoyed the help yourself hard ice creams which was the best part of the meal by far. The woman brought me the bill without my asking and I got up to pay at the register. All in all the experience was mediocre at best. The food was okay but not exceptional. The rude nature of the workers makes me not want to bring my family and I would never recommend this place in the peak season if they can’t put a smile on their faces for the post season. There is an option to take food to go. I saw someone do it while I was there. They weigh the food on a scale. Which made little sense to me being if you eat at the restaurant it’s all you can eat.

Food was OK. For a quick Chinese fix, this will do. Some of the food was cold and very lukewarm close to cold. Other foods were warm and good, like the honey chicken. So, anything cold that should be warm definitely impacts the review. The lo mein was one that was cold. It wasn’t horrible but it wasn’t great either. I didn’t like that they quietly and automatically added the tip to your bill without telling you and then when you are giving the credit card receipt to sign, they expect ANOTHER tip. So, beware of your bill. Would I go again? It’s a 50/50 toss up.

9 Dragons. A Fortune Cookie of Misfortune. As a non-local to Queensberry, I was hoping for a pleasant dining experience at 9 Dragons Restaurant, given its popularity among the locals. Unfortunately, my visit was underwhelming, and I wouldn’t return. The food and decor are stuck in the 1980s, reminiscent of an outdated buffet that has seen better days. The interior looks like it hasn’t been updated in forever, and it clearly shows. While 9 Dragons might hold a special place for Asian cuisine in Queensberry, it wouldn’t last a minute outside this community. The restaurant needs a serious makeover, both in terms of ambiance and culinary offerings. There are far better options available elsewhere.

Super disappointed in the quality of the food. The other reviews are right so buyer beware! The food was cold and hard like it had been sitting out for a long period of time. Also things were not refilled on the buffet. No salad bar, the soup was only like warm. Chicken was cold. There was no white rice. Two stars are generous bc at least the staff was attentive to refills and needing silverware.

Service is bare minimum do not expect a smile or anything else other than get your drink and take your plate, food was lukewarm to cold, flavor was not bad but certainly not even half way a good asian food. And the price, I believe for what you get is really excessive. $19 for a single buffet with water for this level of quality is really high.

Chairs and booths are ripped and worn and very uncomfortable. Carpet and walls are filthy. The food was uniformly cold. Dirty dishes were not removed promptly. I don't know how this restaurant can pass a health inspection.

Usually I give everybody a minimum of three stars because if they're in business they're struggling to stay OPEN in this country HOWEVER if I go to a Chinese restaurant and they do NOT serve egg foo young? that's when I have to say I can't go back. You're a chinese " all you can eat" restaurant but DON'T serve egg foo young? What's going on in the kitchen, chef?

It was very expensive for what they had to offer. They didn't replenish the food well and it wasn't really hot at all. Their dessert options cracked me up.. chip ahoy cookies, and little Debbie snacks such as Swiss rolls and nutty bars. My family and I have never seen anything so ghetto before. They totally make great money here ripping families off for bottom dollar food. We were disappointed.

Quality was not what it used to be. Food was Luke warm. Rice was the best dish. Most of the food tasted like it was purchased at a grocery store and microwaved too long. The food here used to be top notch. I am not sure what happened. I won't be going back any time soon. So disappointed. Maybe you need to go there before 6pm for quality. Just don't know. The crab rangoon......not good. Dessert was store bought cookies.

The boneless ribs had small bits of bone. The hot and sour soup wasn't hot, could have used more spice. The chicken dishes were ok. Probably won't return.

I used to go here as a kid long before it was a buffet and things have changed. While the atmosphere is mostly unchanged when you walk in where the bar used to be is now an open air child care room. The food is while decent nothing was warm and some was even soggy. As far as service there was none. They did take your plate but than immediately gave you the bill making you feel rushed and unwanted. 1st time back in 10 years, will never come here gain even if it was a nice walk down my childhood memories.

Very rude service! Food was nasty and old. Barely any food was out. The shrimp on ice there was maybe 10 pieces out and not cleaned properly. The sushi was warm not chilled at all! Got a full plate of food and barely ate anything. The desserts were all stale and the oranges were old! The waitress threw our drinks on the table as well as the check. We paid and did NOT leave a tip. Went to leave and she asked us why no tip..? We said we barely ate anything and the service was deplorable. Felt like throwing up walking out! DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!!!!!

I was so ashamed and embarrassed to take my family to this buffet and give them a horrible experience of their life! The food was mediocre. Our waitress treated us very well. However a person a couple of tables away came in with a service dog and was treated very badly. And actually had to offer to go outside and wait with her dog until her family was done eating. It was only then that the representative of the restaurant let the woman actually sit down to have her meal. Pretty poor showing. We won't be back.

This was by far the worst buffet I have ever been to. First the food was old. The place was real run down. They charged 38 for me and my wife. The food was disgusting. We couldn't even finish the first plate. They gave us gloves to ware which was fine but they put us 2 feet from the next table which is ridiculous. Very disappointing. I will never go there again.

Came to this spot years ago and had the worst experience/food of my life.. I just came back to town for the holidays and noticed it was a different name- “9 dragons”, so thinking it was under new ownership we’d give it a try- but no they just changed their name and raised their prices.. the food is mostly leftovers from previous days and cold as if their warmers aren’t working, the desert station is made up of little Debby snacks like hohos and nutty buddy bars, and they now charge $19 a person. Worst Chinese buffet experience.. do not go here. Way over priced, they serve left overs that should be thrown out to anyone's standards and the staff was totally incompetent. There’s a ton of better options in the area, avoid this one.

This was the worst restaurant I've ever been to. We walked in and was seated at a booth with tape as the only thing holding it together. This didn't bother us at first because we're used to many different restaurants with a multitude of different foods but after trying the food I was appalled. Not one dish was hot. Everything ranged from cold to lukewarm. Additionally, the food has no flavor and looked like it would give you food poisoning, the only thing that excited me was the self serve ice cream. However, the ice cream was melted and inedible. After dining the worker checking us out asked how everything was and I told her how everything was cold except for the ice cream which was melted and she responded with "oh" and said nothing else. If I could give a 0 out of 5 stars I would I do not recommend if you want something edible.

Stopped in last night 7.27.24. Regretted it almost immediately upon seeing selection, but had been driving all day and was starving.. This is most definitely the smallest buffet I have ever seen. They basically offer lo mein/rice, 2-3 kinds of chicken and some other basics. The crab ragoons were awful, mostly burnt up wraps with no filling. I picked this place bc the Google reviews talked about seafood.. They did have clams and a "shrimp delight", although, I grabbed about 10 clams and at least half were empty. The place is cramped and seating is on top of each other. It's basically like going to an average China take out, except you can have seconds. It wasn't worth the 20 bucks.

Very disappointed. We craved Asian foods but no competitor around this area. Restaurant is stinky with old decorations. Buffet wasn’t special at all. And the waitress had an accident to my daughter’s face and clothes with oily foods. But they didn’t do nothing. Even no apology. All employees are like a robot. We had a bad experience there. No reason to come back next summer.

We arrived just as they opened. It became very clear the food was leftover from a previous day. It was very dry and bland. For 2 adults, 2 10 yr olds and a 2 yr old and the bill was $80. We all tried to find something half way decent but we couldn't. The restaurant itself was filthy. We should've taken a hint from the outside.

Over the years, my Wife and I have eaten at more Chinese Buffets, than I care to remember. This evening, was our second time at this particular one, over approximately a 5 year period. Anyway, this time in a single word, the food was "Horrible". We ate very little, and regardless, we are both paying for it now. The Wonton Soup, was most interesting, having contained not a single Wonton whatsoever. The food had obviously been out for quite a while, and apparently it was just being stirred in an effort to make it appear fresh. The worst part is, we were there during prime time dinner hours, at about 5:30 pm, and it still was not fresh. We barely ate anything, and when we received our bill of $43.67, I went to the register to pay the bill. The lady at the register was nice enough, and asked how everything was, and I told her that the food was not good, and we were unhappy. All said, and done, she swiped my card, handed me the card, and the bill for my signature, and said have a Goodnight. In the end, if your in a hurry, I would skip this one, and can honestly say, that McDonald's certainly would be a far better choice. I definitely would never visit this Restaurant again, and recommend that you don't either.

very sub par for 19.25. Waitresses were rude, It was packed with a lot of people hacking , coughing and blowing their noses. The food had a very cheap , taste. dried out . Tasted like left overs. No variety either. No sesame chicken and dishes you thought a buffet would have. That was a one timer for us.

The worst Chinese buffet I’ve ever been too! What should have been a simple dinner between 4 friends turned into a total nightmare. $17.99 per person and the food was mediocre and lukewarm. The crab Rangoon tasted old, the lo mein was greasy, and the fried rice was at least a day or two old. Honestly the food wasn’t fresh, the dessert was stale, and the sushi was warm. We came in as a table of 4 around 5:30pm thinking we were about to have a great meal. Sadly we were mistaken. Save yourself the time and money. How this place is even open is beyond me, the food is obviously not being keep at temperature on the buffet. It tasted like it had been sitting out for hours. We even tried to speak with the waitress and explain that we were unhappy and if there was anything that could be done, and she just stood there blankly and stared at us, she never uttered a word. Honestly for $80 bucks we could have went somewhere else and got a hot meal, and right now I wish we had. I’m still hungry, and very unsatisfied.

Nice atmosphere but food not so great. Less selection and there's barely seafood. There is also a 10% additional charge on our receipt. It says 10% but amount was more than 10% of the bill. So I ask the lady on the counter, she said its for the girls. For customer service. I guess they made the tips mandatory now. Weather you feel like tipping or not, you have to pay. We will not coming back.

Looks like it's shutting down, the air vents definitely need a company to come in and clean them , food is so mediocre at best. The parking lot definitely also needs an up grade. Looks like they don't put their money into anything for the upkeep of the building or parking lot at all.

I used my credit card to pay for dinner and the next day i get a fraudulent charge at walmart

The buffet is not always refilling .. after the busy time they don’t have a lot of food on their buffet … and comes to an end to view the less choices … If you don’t have something else to eat and it’s urgent and it’s the last choice that you can have that is the one that you can go!

Not really a great selection of food and alot of the meat did not look cooked thoroughly. The selection of deserts were different packaged snack cakes and girl scout cookies.. there were people fighting and arguing in the back and nobody ever offered to refill our drinks. They also gave us the check while we were still eating and made us feel rushed.

Decided to stop here after a day at the theam park. Not the best choice. The food was cold and the egg roll was soo greasy it instantly hurt my stomach. Unfortunately we will not be back.
