So first thing: PLASTIC FORKS AND SPOONS! C'mon! The highest tier is 70$ and you have a Wagyu Ribeye for 47$. Do I need to pay 50$, so you can provide washable utensils and higher a dish washer? This is my 3rd time eating here because it is far from home and they had no Gluten-free options back in the day. Finally on my Pinning Ceremony, I learned prior the that they offer Gluten-free options and provide a non-cross contamination precaution. PERFECT! The waitress was thorough, but the service was delayed and even forgot to bring a few orders. The bar was slow and not well stocked. If the service rating was on the waitress alone it would be 5 stars. She made sure our table had no cross contamination and double checked the food she was bringing was Gluten-free. We had family with us that did not require the special treatment, but they still got special treatment and their food, bbqed in the other grill never cross contaminated our side of the table. All in all great Gluten-free accommodations which deems Gyu-Kaku, Celiac disease Friendly!

Great Selection of Meats! Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ, located in Victoria Gardens, is a great spot for Japanese BBQ. If you are a fan of this style of eating, you'll feel right at home. Upon arriving, I had to wait a few minutes as I was a walk-in. Once I was seated, my server, Phoenix, made some recommendations for the meat selections and offered me an ice-cold Kirin. My plates of food came fairly quickly, and my server checked on me every ten minutes or so. I ordered from the premium menu, so I received many items that were very fresh and great to eat. Once I was reaching my time limit, I started to get full, so the 90-minute time limit was perfect. I had beef, pork and seafood selections, and all of them were great. Overall, I had a great meal at a great price considering this location is in Victoria Gardens. The service was great, and I would come back here again.

We come here often 6-7 times a year sometimes more. Service is usually pretty great. This time it was a little slow and we didn't like that we never saw a receipt for our meal. We paid on a little portable card reader and that was it. Our server I'm not sure if she was spread thin or having an off day but we had to ask for refills on our drinks and we had to ask for the check because we had been done for several minutes and we were waiting to pay so we could leave the restaurant. We'll return as we love the menu.

Location is easy to spot but the parking at this place can be packed depending on the day. My party was seated immediately which was nice, although they only give you one menu to share. The food quality is amazing, and very filling. I am pretty sure my wife got the wrong meat for her grill. Also the side condiments were pretty dirty as well as our metal spatula.Other than that, their happy hour is definitely worth the price. I will be coming back for more.

I came here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon and made a reservation online. We were seated immediately. We were told it was happy hour even though we didn't see the times advertised anywhere. We ordered and the food came out pretty quickly. Everything was pretty good, though it doesn't come with all the side dishes included like Korean BBQ places usually do. All the meat comes with sauce already on it (or at least what I ordered did). I think the prices are pretty reasonable if you're not looking to stuff yourselves. We were happy with everything we ordered and the service was good. The presentation of some of the meat was a little lacking but that doesn't affect the taste.

It’s been a while since I’ve been to Gyu-Kaku but I remember it being great food, service, and atmosphere. Tonight, it was lacking. The food quality wasn’t very good, took a long time to get the meat orders out (20-30 minutes before it was out after we’d ordered) and we kept getting another tables food delivered to us. They set the food on our table and when we said it wasn’t ours they picked it up and took it to their table after we touched the plates to make room. Overall, with how expensive it was, it was not worth the price. I know I won’t be returning.

I’ve been to this establishment several times in the past and each time was great! Food was good, service was good, all in all good. My party and I came last night and we were expecting a good time but ended up leaving disappointed. We were given a table in the back in a secluded area which was nice ambience but our server rarely checked on us. We did not start getting the food we ordered until 35 minutes later and our grill turned off numerous times. We had to get up multiple times to get someone else to turn on the grill or change our grill. Since our server rarely checked on us, I could not get her name. However, Darin was the most helpful for our table even though he was not our main server. We ended up being at the restaurant for almost two hours and a half which we spent most of the time waiting rather than eating. Towards the end of our dinner our server stopped coming to us altogether and instead was waitressing the table next to us. Darin ended up being the one to give us our check and close us out. Thank you, Darin! This was a very disappointing visit especially dining here before and having excellent experiences in the past.

Came in as a walk in on a Tuesday for my daughter’s birthday. We are a party of four and were told the wait would be 35 minutes. Almost an hour later, multiple parties including a party of 10 and we are still waiting. I understand that not having reservations will extend my wait time, totally fair. But this restaurant should not promote walk ins if we are just going to get pushed for reservations if you’re telling me that having reservations is the only way you will get seated. The hosts were rude and when we asked after 40 minutes how much longer they told us we just needed to wait still since we are a walk in. Again, don’t promote walk ins if this is how you are going to treat paying customers. The only reason we didn’t leave was because my daughter wanted this for her birthday. The night was tainted by this experience and I will never be back

The server was friendly but had to deal with a severely mismanaged restaurant. It took a half hour to get beef sushi that was poorly put together, rice was falling apart and taste was decent. The fried dumplings were over cooked. This was just the starters. It took a hour to get the meats to grill. I ordered Kobe beef which I'm not ever sure if it was Kobe beef and didn't come with the "Special Sauce". The server said they ran out. Everything took such a long time to get and if I'm waiting that ling make it worth it. Definitely wasn't. I will not be going back unless management was fired and the place had a complete over hall. I would NOT recommend going here.
