Great place we went on Christmas Eve my daughter wants to go for her birthday. The wait was a little long but it was worth the wait. It was actually are first time going glad we stopped by to grab some dinner.

Food was amazing! Loved the home feel! Would recommend to everyone. I had the beef soup and took a kung pao chicken to go. Both delicious. Look forward to coming again.

Excellent little Chinese place with great food and service. Authentic handmade dumplings are delicious, especially the lamb dumplings, which are hard to find in this area. The noodles and special entrees are good as well. Dine in and take out now available.

Got their garlic Eggplant, sautéed green beans, crunchy chicken, lamb dumplings, and scallion Pancakes. ALL were awesome! Will definitely order from here again. Above order made four generous sevibgs.

My boyfriend and I recently moved to the area and were looking for a new dumpling spot, we previously enjoyed MAD dumplings and Dan Modern Chinese in Long Beach. We decided to try this place out and it was soooooo delicious and I left so full. I even went again two days later with my sister. Everything we ordered was delicious: Beef Roll- filling, savory, and somehow a little sweet, the onion flavors comes through (but I LOVE onions) Juicy Pork Dumplings!!!! aka soup dumplings aka xiao long bao. These were a hit with myself, my boyfriend, and my sister and her kids. I wish I could have a better metabolism so I could eat 100 of them. The chicken dumplings (boiled), delicious, reliable, would 1000% order again. The lamb dumplings (pan friend) I enjoyed them, my boyfriend not so much, but they are delicious. I guess you just have to like the flavor of lamb. Pork, Shrimp, egg, and chive dumplings (pan fried) what can I say? THEY DON'T MISS. I was wary of texture with the thought of pork, shrimp, and egg, but that was not an issue. It was sooo good. We ordered orange chicken for one of the kids and even that was crispy, saucy, yummy! I will definitely keep coming here for my dumpling fix!

Delicious local branch of a northern Chinese cuisine establishment. Their crispy chicken, baby bok choi and soup dumplings are incredible. Having now been a regular here for years though, I can assure you can’t go wrong with most anything on their menu. Very awesome family that operates this place, give them a thumbs up!! 🥟🥟🥟🥬🥬🥢🥢🫓

Modest restaurant with FANTASTIC FOOD!! I just had the most amazing shrimp won ton soup on earth!! Homemade and plentiful. My son ordered the orange chicken and that’s the best in town. Really amazing spot. Go eat!!!! Owner is cooking! You’ll love it!

Tried Northern Cafe to go and it was delicious. Simple food with the focus on dumplings but tasty and good portions. Pork and cabbage dumplings were very flavorful and large, definitely will return.

The staff are really friendly. One of the best Thai teas in the area. I wasn't a fan of the chow mein but the orange chicken is a must have. Stop going to panda express, get yourself some northern care instead

This place is fire. Very mom and pop run place. The dumplings and wontons are so delicious. They also have entrees served with a white rice side that is very good. I had the kung pao chicken which was delicious served with plenty of peanuts and some mushrooms for added flavor.

Nice & quiet mom and pop spot. I've had the beef Ramen, the dumplings so far and they were 8/10. I'll be back for more of that soon...

The beef roll was recommended so I tried it. It was quite good. I'm looking forward to returning and trying something else. I've heard the dumplings are fantastic! As for the overall atmosphere of the place, it was empty except for a couple patrons, but I imagine that was because it was later afternoon before dinner time. The restaurant itself was very clean and inviting.

Overall, pretty good if you are hungry dumplings!

New restaurant seemingly run by a mom and pop. It doesn’t seem to be fully set up yet since there are areas of the restaurant blocked off and supplies in the back but they are serving food. They have a lean team so people were waiting around. The food is ok but the other locations are better. They might get better with time.

They have a great choices and all are great. I would like to see them clean up the clutter and get more dine in clients. The beef noodles are off the chain. Thai tea deal at 3 bucks too.

Food was good. Quickly made and delivered to our table. I would prefer being seated and my order being taken from the table versus having to order at the cash register first and then sit down.

No dine in option when we went for dinner, only take out. Disappointed as we drove 25 min for dine in. They need to update maps to reflect that. Parking lot is not very big, but works as it’s a relatively a small joint

The food was mediocre at best (medicore is me being generous). We ordered about 8-9 dishes... And we ended up eating 2 of them fully... And ended up wasting more that half of the every other dish. The place has nice ambience and tables for groups. And the thai ice tea was delicious

Absolutely the worst northern Café I have ever been to. There are no appetizer dishes that we can choose from nor the food was acceptable. There is no in house dining area either and I was sent away.

I ordered through Uber Eats. The food was delivered missing an item of Chicken Chow Mein (spicy). I spoke with the owner who was very difficult to understand, not just by me but 3 other nurses on speaker phone. She decided that because she put six bags in the box that we received all of our items. No matter how many times I tried to tell her it wasn't in the box she kept counting the bags. So....anyways the DanDan noodle with ground pork didn't have ground pork, it had these minute shreds of pork that was difficult to see at first, so I basically paid 11.99 for ill tasting noodles. The Pork and Shrimp Wonton soup were extremely bland and can not compare to that of Nim Chan's . We nurses were craving Chinese food, Nim Chans is our go to place. For some reason they are closed today. We decided to try somewhere new ordered from Northern Cafe and will never do again. I have never given a negative review that I can remember. If zero stars was possible that would have been my score. The food is not very good, but my greatest issue was how "right" the owner repeatedly declared to be. Amazing

I have been frequenting this establishment since they opened. I will no longer be a patron of this company. My update: the woman who works here is incredibly rude. TORE UP loyalty stamp card in my face because “my boss said no more”. Couldn’t elaborate, started screaming, & told me “I don’t know when my boss is back” & hung up on me. Food is still lovely but not worth getting things torn up & screamed at when asking for further explanation.

This food is excessively oily and it hurt my stomach badly overnight. Do not recommend to people who are sensitive to greasy food. Steam dumplings are safe since they are steamed.

I ordered vegetable chow mien, they gave me chicken chow mien and I kindly asked if I can exchange it or have them take it off and add vegetables when the server went back to the kitchen I hear some yelling and the server came back saying " just take it off yourself" and walked away. I've been here many times and enjoyed it but this service and the poor communication has me not going back.

You know, after being cooped up in my apartment all day it was going to be a delight to come try this place out for dine in only to find a somewhat worn sign that says, “take out only”. I guess they didn’t get the memo that the pandemic is over, so I left taking my money with me.

They want your money upfront and leave you stranded after. No water. Plastic forks. So sad to see people with bad business practices. Never coming back. Ever.

Were not greeted just randomly told not allowing dine-in. We were there an 1hr 30 mins before closing.

This place is just simply awful. Half the restaurant is blocked off by tables where you order, supplies are laying around the dining area, white plastic forks/spoons, no water, unused shelves, etc. The food is terrible too. I’d rather eat at Panda Express which is saying a lot.

Hot, no blinds on the windows, no A/C, no fans, and no cups of water. They force you to buy a $2.50 bottle of cheap water. They do not offer not even 1 cup of water.
