Kind of an odd entryway since the kitchen faces the parking lot but the view is amazing. There's nothing obstructing your view of the sunset & its beautiful. We came for a birthday with about 13 people and they were more than accommodating. We practically ordered the entire menu and it was well worth it. Everything was fresh & delicious. Typical Thai restaurant menu so nothing spectacular but tasty nonetheless. You're there for the view. Enjoy your meal & soak it in :)
Swan Thai RPV is such a peaceful, hidden gem with an amazing beach view. Whether you sit indoors or outdoors, the setting is beautiful and makes for a really relaxing dining experience. It’s the kind of place where you can take your time and enjoy your meal. The Pad Thai was excellent — flavorful and perfectly cooked. The fried rice was just okay, not bad but nothing too memorable. Still, the overall vibe and hospitality more than make up for it. The staff is very kind and welcoming, which adds to the charm. This place has become one of my mom’s favorites, and I can see why! Great for a casual lunch or laid-back dinner with a view. Definitely worth visiting if you’re in the area.
My daughters took me here for Mother’s Day, and I was very grateful because the food was delicious. The service was great and the atmosphere was really beautiful and welcoming. Beautiful clean bathrooms, where you can snap some selfie also so If you’re in the area, you should definitely stop by here.
Definitely a hidden gem of a place! Incredible service and tasty Thai food at reasonable prices away from the hustle and bustle of LA. Pair that with one of the best sunset views in the area and you have a breathtaking experience with your loved one. Will definitely come back again!
Ordered the steam dumplings and they were just yummy! Also got the pad Thai with chicken and that was great too! We sat outside and had a nice view and of course nice weather. Wining!!! The price was right also. If in the area - stop in.
Beautiful place over looking the ocean. Amazing food and even better service. Ordered vegan versions of Tom Yum, Fried Rice, Panang Curry, and Pad thai. The taste of their delicious panang curry still lingers in my mouth. The portions are decent. the quality and the taste was top notch. The restaurant offers an amazing view of the ocean, great for any time of the day, but having dinner watching the sunset, having good food and a great company is just chef’s kiss. Definitely one of my favourite thai restaurants. Worth the visit.
This place is so beautiful! The service is fantastic and the food is delicious!!! We had the pad see ew and drunken noodles! Both yummy!! We also had the crispy shrimp but I forgot to take a photo is was sooooo good!!!! Get it!!!! I got a Thai tea but of course it was so delicious you get to see a photo of it almost finished Thai Tea! Hahaha Parking is easy, the ocean is beautiful and the atmosphere is on point. Enjoy!
1st time dining at this restaurant & it did not disappoint. The staffs were very nice & accommodating. It's a patio dining & our table is next to the fire pit, that made it warm while eating our meal. Our orders did not take long & the food are delicious! My son & his friend enjoyed what they ordered , crispy pork with rice & honey barbecue ribs. I got the tamarind duck 🤤. We also tried beef sate & crispy garlic chicken wings, the peanut dip is delicious 😋🤤. I was eating it by itself, so good. Next time, will be going before it gets dark to also have the view of the Pacific ocean & with cocktails 🥂 (3/2021) Repost: We were seated by the street this time & they have standing heaters that were so hot, you wouldn't even feel the coldness being close to the ocean. The service was still wonderful. We ordered different food items & they were good . The only dislike is the soft shelled crab, it's tiny & a little bit salty. I liked the cocktails, the 2 I ordered we're really good. It was a good choice coming back here to have a Valentine's dinner! 💞 (2/2022)
I always LOVE this place! Amazing view, great food and excellent service! Outdoor seating only but they have plenty of heaters and even a fire pit you can sit around. This location overlooks the ocean with a view of Catalina Island. Go at sunset for a spectacular California sunset! This is always my place to eat when I'm around.

Beautiful Restaurant over looking the Pacific Ocean. Pretty presenations of delicious food, drinks and desserts. Great customer service. We love to bring our out of Town guesrs to this Restaurant.

This place is so yummy and beautiful for a sunset dinner overlooking the water! The young coconut, pad see ew and papaya salad was delicious. Didn't get the mango dessert, but it looks beautiful and delicious. Would definitely go back here for a dinner date!

Beautiful sunset on a Saturday evening. Enjoyed a nice evening out with friends while the rest of the country was freezing 🥶. Only in Cali. Dinner was enjoyable. Unfortunately, service was not. It took a while for someone to take our order after we were served water. My previous experience here has been better. Hopefully it's a one time thing.
Swan Thai Restaurant is a gem for vegans and vegetarians looking for flavorful Thai cuisine with plenty of plant-based options. I was especially impressed by how accommodating the menu is—most of the rice noodle dishes can easily be veganized by substituting tofu or vegetables and omitting fish sauce. The same flexibility applies to many of their rice dishes and curries, which makes it easy to enjoy a wide variety of traditional Thai flavors without compromising on dietary preferences. The restaurant clearly understands the needs of plant-based diners, and it's refreshing to have so many customizable options in one place. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the view is beautiful perfect for a casual yet scenic meal. The only downside I experienced was the drinks. While they’re presented well and aesthetically pleasing, they just aren’t strong enough—definitely could use a more generous pour. That said, the overall experience was positive, and I’d definitely return. It’s a great spot for anyone who appreciates flavorful food in a laid-back setting with a thoughtful approach to vegan and vegetarian dining.
I love a good Thai restaurant. This one has good food with a great view. Came for date night dinner and enjoyed it. The food and drinks were both good. The view and atmosphere were beautiful. Host made sure we sat closer to the view since there was space. Staff was kind and helpful. Great place for a date or even a girls night. It gets cold out on the patio although they do have heaters, I recommend dressing warm if you tend to get cold like me.
Food is not comparable to other thai restaurant. Basic taste. The only great is the sunset in PV
Service and atmosphere were great but food was just fine. It was a little chilly but our reservations got us seated facing the ocean and next to the heaters so we were comfortable. Unfortunately, it was really hazy that day so there was no sunset view. Tom Yum soup was my favorite dish we ordered. A slight spicy kick and the right amount of sour and herbiness from the lemongrass. A good amount of big shrimp and tons of mushrooms, which I love. Steamed mussels were fine. Good, but nothing too special. Pad Thai was on-par with most takeout Thai food. Pad See Ewe was too sweet and not at all spicy. Beef and eggs were overcooked. Both noodle dishes needed some spice and they promptly brought some sambal to our table. That helped a lot. Service was excellent and attentive. We would return, but would probably order different dishes. Except the Tom Yum soup. That was good. I prefer the Pad Thai and Pad See Ewe from our nearby takeout spot, though.

Extremely Disappointing Father's Day Experience – Worst Customer Service We visited the restaurant at 4:45 PM to celebrate Father’s Day. The server told us we would need to finish our meal before 6 PM because the table was reserved. I expressed concern, especially since there were plenty of empty tables. Then he moved us to a different table. We placed our order, and I requested Thai chicken fried rice with a spice level of 8. When the food arrived, I was shocked to find a long strand of hair in my rice. I pointed it out to the server—he simply said he would bring a new one without offering a single word of apology. A few minutes later, the replacement dish came out, but it wasn’t spicy at all. I sent it back again, and only then did I receive a version closer to what I originally ordered. Between the rushed seating, unhygienic food, and lack of basic courtesy, this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. I'm very disappointed, especially on a day meant to be special. Definitely not returning.

I want to start by saying that I understand the restaurant was very busy, so I’m trying to give some grace for that. However, the service experience at our table was still disappointing. While we were waiting to place our order, several servers walked past our table multiple times without checking in with us. During that time, we also noticed that other tables who arrived after us were able to place their orders before we did. I completely understand that things can get hectic during busy hours, but it would have been nice to at least be acknowledged or told that someone would be with us shortly. A quick check-in goes a long way and helps guests feel seen rather than overlooked. The place clearly gets a lot of customers, which says something good about it, but improving attentiveness during busy times would really help the overall experience.
DO NOT EAT HERE. I wish I had read the reviews more carefully. This place is less of a restaurant and more of a tourist trap designed to squeeze every penny out of you with deceptive tactics. 1. The "Rice Scam": Our meals explicitly came with jasmine rice. The server offered us brown rice as a "substitution" without mentioning an upcharge. When the bill came, the price of every dish was significantly higher than the menu price. They didn't even itemize the extra charge; they just inflated the base price of the meals to hide it. To make it worse, since it was a "substitution," we didn't even get the jasmine rice we already paid for. This is a classic bait-and-switch. 2. Shady Tipping Tactic: Check your bill carefully! Their "suggested tip" percentages are calculated after sales tax is added. You are essentially paying a tip on a tax—a sneaky way to trick people into overpaying. 3. Poor Food & Atmosphere: The food is far from authentic. Every dish was oddly syrupy and sweet, likely to mask low-quality ingredients. Also, don't be fooled by any "beachfront" claims—the restaurant barely has a view and is nowhere near the water. You’re paying "view prices" for a view of a parking lot/street. 4. Service is Lacking: From the moment we sat down, they tried to rush us through our meal just to flip the table. The service was impersonal, and the staff became defensive when questioned about the hidden charges on the bill. Between the hidden fees, the "tip-on-tax" scam, and the mediocre food, this place is a total ripoff. There are plenty of honest restaurants nearby—go anywhere but here.
This was one of the most unacceptable dining experiences I’ve had. I clearly ordered a vegan dish and confirmed it with the server, who repeated it back correctly. Despite that, the kitchen completely failed to follow the request. Halfway through eating, I found a piece of egg in my food. I’ve been vegan for six years and take my dietary choices seriously. This isn’t a small mistake, it’s a breach of trust and basic food handling responsibility. People order vegan for ethical, health, and sometimes medical reasons, and ignoring that is careless and disrespectful. While the server apologized and offered a replacement, the chef never came out, and there was no real sense of accountability. For a restaurant, that’s alarming. I’ve worked in hospitality for over 30 years, and yes, mistakes happen, but this felt like a lack of training, communication, and care in the kitchen. Serving non vegan ingredients after clearly confirming a vegan order is unacceptable and potentially harmful. I left feeling frustrated, disappointed, and questioning the professionalism of this place. I will not be returning.
The food is not Thai food anymore. Taste more like Chinese street food now. Shrimps and scallops seemed to be soaked in chemical liquid before cooking and looked transparent not opaque. If you know how other Chinese restaurants do to seafood, you would recognize it. It's a waste for its good location.
