Great addition to Livingston county. My fiancé and I ordered some birria and tinga tacos to try. They had delicious flavor and the food was still warm by the time we arrived home. We will definitely be back!

If you are looking for some great Birra tacos, this is the place to go to.

Was super good. Lady at the front was very kind.

I’ve been here a few times so far. I’ve tried the quesabirria, carne asada tacos, carne asada torta. All delicious. The tinga quesadilla was different, never had it before so I didn’t know what to expect. The Jamaica and horchata drinks were very good. Reminded me of some of the places I’ve eaten in southwest Detroit. Love the music. Chips and salsa were great too. I’m excited to try more things on the menu.

Danielle Nicholl Bulger

I’m so happy we tried La Finca Tacos! They have the most delicious, authentic tacos in the area by far. I ordered the quesabirria, al pastor taco and tinga taco. They were so flavorful! I already can’t wait to go again!

N

The tacos, beans n rice, and tamales were yummy!

My husband and I decided to try La Finca because we love tacos. We tried the chorizo, pastor, carne asada, tinga and carnitas. All of them were delicious! Great restaurant and really nice staff. We will be back! 😋

Been here several times and it's always been delicious. Highly recommended, nice local spot for authentic Mexican tacos.

Amazing and friendly people. Offers a traditional Mexican atmosphere (As traditional as Howell is going to get) Amazing service and good cheap food. Highly recommended

quite hype to have authentic birria tacos and elote (esquite on the menu) in Howell! the quality of the tortillas and refried beans was excellent. meat was super tender. the nachos order is HUGE! this will be a new regular spot for us.

This place is amazing. Atmosphere is great. Everyone is always super polite. The food is authentic and so good. The chorizo taco is the best I have ever had. The prices are fair and the portions are good. It's so great to have this place in town.

D
David Rojas

This is the best and exactly what you would get off a street taco in Mexico! I've had tacos from here to there and nothing comes close to being this authentic and they do not skimp on the proteins like all the other wanna be taquerias ina 50 mile radius! Treat yourself to the real deal! Que Rico!!!

D
Dawn Palmer-Van Camp

Amazing! So glad we found this place. Great service and what we have had so far…Barria tacos and pork tacos were delicious. Next week we will be back to try more! Thank you!

Food was flippin' great. Had the birria tacos. Phenomenal. If my mother had been sitting next to me when I took the first bite I would have turned and slapped her. And then immediately apologized for having slapped her for no reason. Also had a beef tongue taco for the first time. Delicious. Like making out with a beautiful cow that kinda looks like Julia Roberts if you squint. We'll definitely be back. The cashier was also outrageously nice and helpful. She brought us a strange fried burrito dessert that tasted like a toaster strudel which made me extremely happy. 9 out of 10 because the door was heavy!

My daughter and I got take out tonight and it was the first time eating here. I have dietary issues and the owner was so kind and patient with answering my questions. The food was absolutely delicious!! It's a very cute little authentic resturant with amazing food!!

La finca will always be #1 in my book! Their food is always consistent and the atmosphere is always warm and welcoming. I recommend all of my family, friends and peers to come here, they never disappoint. I highly recommend the quesabirria combo, it’ll leave you more than satisfied.

Small place with amazing tacos! The carnitas were the best tacos we ever had. We drove 1.5 hours for a wedding and grabbed tacos while the wedding party did pictures. We are willing to drive back just for these tacos. 🌮

L
Lexi Farr

Very good food, very fast service, clean, and the owner Israel is super kind and was patient with our questions! Definitely recommend giving them a try! Very authentic food! The tacos were on the smaller side but they are street tacos so if you are looking for a bigger taco upgrade to the flour tortilla. Everything is very reasonably priced as well!

Stopped in today with my 5 year old daughter. I ordered the tinga, carnitas and chorizo tacos. I can't decide which one I liked best..they were all good in their own way. My daughter had the bean and cheese quesadilla. She enjoyed it and we took most of it home because the portion size is large. We shared the asada fries, which were my favorite. Sauces were tasty, too. Fun atmosphere - my daughter was dancing to the music. The owner clearly cares about the quality of the food and service. I'm looking forward to going back to support this new local business and trying other items on the menu.

Ordered a couple of different quesadillas and several tacos during a VERY busy Saturday lunch rush. All of our food was delicious and still came out in a timely manner! We will definitely be regular customers. Very authentic and fresh.

First time trying, It was so yummy! They were quick, the customer service was great, they were so welcoming. Rice & Beans were probably the best i’ve ever had. Tacos & Quesobirria both absolutely delicious!! Will be back!

AMAZING experience!!! It’s so hard to find quality, authentic food in our area and the food is insanely delicious and reasonably priced for how high the quality is! Not only that, the owner is very personable, kind, and takes a true interest in their customers. We’ll definitely be back a LOT more!!! 1000000/10.

Wow. WOW WOW WOW. If you're looking for truly authentic Mexican food that's fast, fresh, and doesn't break the bank, this is your jam. Carne Asada tacos were delicious, as were our quesadillas, and all were quite filling. Staff was gracious and helpful. Ambiance - it's fine, but you're not coming here for the ambiance, you're coming here for the tacos. Don't confuse this place for the so-called "Street Tacos" restaurant that once occupied this spot, the food is night and day different, and 1000% better - and, it should be said, better than most other Mexican/ Tex Mex options in this county (looking ESPECIALLY at you, Mexicali and More...). Ditching the likes of Qdoba and Chipotle and making this a regular stop. Keep up the great work!

T

FINALLY. Quality Mexican food in Livingston county! Great for take out. A lot of Mexican restaurant in the area defaults flavorless boiled chicken or ground beef with lettuce and cheese on flour tortilla. The chirzo and Carne asada tacos were flavorful and a bit mild, but the green and red sauce sent it over the top. The green sauce is a flavorful creeper and the red sauce will burn your lips and bring that HEAT (got me sweating and I love it) The quesaburrias were delicious, the rice and beans were great with some red sauce stirred in. The horchata was the best closer for all that flavor. Sweet, sweet nectar of the gods. My boyfriend and I used to live 5 minutes down the road from the most delicious authentic taco truck down south and since moving to Howell we have been on the hunt for somewhere that compares, and this definitely does! I don't write reviews often, but I really want to see this place thrive. My boyfriend and I will singlehandedly keep that business running on carryout alone if we have to.

I go there for the authentic food, but the corn is my favorite. Love it. Was there recently with other people and my corn was the smallest one. They were so graceful and made me another one. Thank you so very much.

Their food far exceeded Mexican Village. I had the chicken quesadilla and it was the best quesadilla I've ever had. Large serving and reasonably priced.

My friends and I went for the first time last night - and I am STILL thinking about that burrito!! The food was incredible! There is plenty of inside seating (even some seating outside so you can enjoy the nice weather)! There were lots of people coming in for take out too! The service was great, and they were so friendly! I cannot recommend enough! Already excited to go back!

Good food! We've been several times and have tried almost everything- nothing disappoints. Reminds me of being back on the west coast and being fed by my Mexican and South American friends. The ingredients are fresh, the meat perfectly cooked and seasoned, and the salsa delicious. Howell is blessed to have this lovely restaurant!

So Freakin Bomb!! I’m from California so I know😉 Trust me everything is good. We had the asada tacos, asada fries, chicken flautas, chicken burrito, steak burrito, churros with strawberry, Jamaica and a Horchata. Now we are all so stuffed and feel so happy with life. Oh and the booths are comfy.

Delicious street tacos! We each had the shredded beef, and I also had a pastor taco that had pineapple on it. It's just so good! The mild salsa and lime were icing on top! We will definitely go again.

This little business has some of the most delicious tacos I have ever had. The young woman we dealt with was amazing and polite. If you are in the area and like Mexican food, do yourself a favor and try out La Finca. You won't regret it.

Best Burrito I've ever had. Super nice guy at the register, too.

J

First time there. Got to try 6 tacos and all were fantastic. I admit I am white and like flour tortillas but the wife had corn and all were so good. Will be back for sure. All of them had authentic seasoning and very flavorful. Chatted with the owner who was passionate and very knowledgeable. If you have not gone yet go - you will love it.

J
Joseph F Lickey

I've been here a couple times and I am not disappointed. The quesabirria combo is amazing and somehow the same price but more food than a fast food combo. The guy who usually runs the front is always extremely polite and humble. I love this place and I plan on coming here frequently.

N

I was so excited to see street tacos available in the area. The first time i had a double corn soft shell with chopped white onion and cilantro was at a taco truck in NYC. These are so good and if you can snag a tamale, you should. Our family eats here (take out or dine in) once a week or so and somehow the food is getting better! This restaurant fills a need that no other restaurants meet in the area (aka leave your local Mexican restaurant expectations behind). To the owners: thank you for being here and making delicious food!

S

All the tacos and tamales I had were great! The house salsas were both hot but not overwhelming.

I finally found our go-to Mexican food spot! Coming from Denver and living in San Diego, it's the closest we've had that we actually like and it's not like the other generic mexican places here, especially in Howell

The best authentic Mexican without actually going to Mexico! The staff is so friendly and the owner is amazing!! Cannot recommend this place enough!

R

Authentic food, friendly staff, very helpful. I had to ask questions our first visit because I have several food allergies and they were very respectful and informative. Our second visit was to celebrate our anniversary, we loved everything we ordered and again the staff was so nice. We ordered extra food to take home because it's so good! This is a bit of a drive for us or else we would eat there much more often. Having pasole and tamales on the menu is a wonderful find, as is lingua.

This little Mexican restaurant is a hidden gem. Honestly, everything we tried was so good—you really can’t go wrong ordering anything on the menu. The food is fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. From the chips and salsa to the main dishes, it all hits. Portions are great, prices are fair, and the vibe is cozy and welcoming. Where do I begin? If you love birria tacos, this place has perfected the art. Their green salsa is spectacular and house made guacamole and chips are amazing.

Amazing food. I had the flautas and they were so good. My son had a burrito and couldn't speak more of it. But on to the important things... The salsa is amazing and the queso was perfect. Great tortilla chips too. Not the stale kind a lot of places serve. Would highly recommend and will definitely go back!

I'm a Mexican in Michigan and I was pleasantly surprised with this place: real tacos! I highly recommend the birria street tacos (add green salsa and lime). Maybe the A/C isn't working properly today cause inside the restaurant is a Little bit hot. Other than that, everything good 👍

We got some street tacos for dinner and they were outstanding. Got chicken, steak, pork and pastor. All were great, but the pastor was the winner! We will definitely be back, can’t wait to try the tamales!!!

It’s great to actually have authentic Mexican food. I have only had the tacos and they are delicious! Every time I come, the consistency has always been the same. The only thing I would complain about is their weekend menu. I’d love to try some of the things they have, but it’s only available on the weekends. It would be nice if they would rotate the items or have a day during the week where they are also available. Other than that, great food!

S

The newest addition to Howell has excellent options for Mexican street food. The prices are fair. Quite busy since having just opened. The carnitas tacos were delicious, but I would most highly recommend the al pastor tacos. Its juicy marinated pork with onion, cilantro, and fresh pineapple had the best flavor around. The gaucamole was very fresh and a definite win. The carne asada was overcooked, so I would go for another option. I'm excited to try the highly demanded quesaburria on my next visit. They also offer tamales on the weekends. The music definitely added to the experience.

I heard good things about this place and was still surprised at just how delicious the food is. A great selection of authentic Mexican food alongside of some fun fusion choices means there is something for everyone. The ambiance is great and the staff is friendly and patient. It's a great value for your buck too, but I'd gladly pay 50% more for the experience we had.

This is exactly what Howell needed. Puts the other available tacos in our city to shame. Great staff, great food, great prices. Everything tastes so fresh and homemade. Come for the birria, stay for the trip and lengua.

Excellent tacos! Definitely recommend the beef and the chorizo. Tamales were fresh. Best Mexican food in Livingston county. This is a counter service restaurant with plenty of seating in the restaurant. No fountain drinks, but cans/bottles available.

Wow! We've been traveling to Lansing for authentic tacos. So glad La Finca is in Howell. I highly recommend the chicken Tinga and Al pastor (pork) tacos. The big difference is the sauteed onions...I have never had these anywhere else, and they are a standout! The beans and rice are also very flavorful. Come on a weekend so you can have the pozole. Delicious broth and hominy and big chunks of tender pork--a hearty meal in a bowl! The only things we didn't love were the tamales. Too much dough to meat ratio. Oh, and try a horchara or Jamaica drink with your meal. Service was great, too. No more driving to Lansing!

Every time I ask about where in Howell I should get tacos, I'm told to come here. I finally did and, OMG, incredible!!! I grabbed nachos, chicken tacos, and the quesibrilla (I'm sure I butchered the spelling. The tacos with the broth to dip in) for a few of us at work. We were all impressed! One coworker even texted the next day, asking what the tacos (I can't remember the name of) were called 😂 She was on her way there! Pretty casual atmosphere, with friendly staff

I am from Southern California, so I am quite judgmental on places that serve Mexican food. Y'all LET ME TELL YOU. La Finca is SO GOOD. My whole family loved it and it really felt like grabbing tacos from our favorite place in SoCal. We tried items across the board-- tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and extras. All of it was made well, and was absolutely delicious. Also, something to note, they actually make burritos THE RIGHT WAY. Something about Michigan Mexican food is that they put cheese and lettuce and other things ON TOP of the burrito and it drives me insane. Burritos are meant to be portable. Huge, but portable. La Finca does it right. Thank GOD. It is a little chaotic in there right now, because it's new and honestly so good. Still, the chaos is worth it! The restaurant itself isn't very big-- just a few tables. But I will say, take out is also completely wonderful. I live 5 miles away and it was still hot and delicious when I broke into it at home. The cost is a little on the higher end, especially for takeout and no extras. There are delicious local sit down restaurants that aren't as pricy. We actually ended up going to one over the weekend instead of La Finca so we could save money. I would LOVE to see a salsa + extras bar like my favorite place back home, with different levels of heat, pico de gallo, extra onions, cilantro, limes, and the pickled carrots/onions/jalapenos. Those types of things. I also would literally do anything for breakfast burritos. Anything. I haven't found a single place within a huge radius of Howell that makes them, and my soul is crying out desperately. Breakfast burritos would make my family and I so incredibly happy. I don't mean breakfast wraps, or taco bell food, I mean real, amazing, huge, delicious, breakfast burritos. Especially available all day! My family and I love La Finca and can't wait to go back.

The Queso dip is overpiced for the small baby sized cup it comes in. Other than that the food is excellent and the service was great too. Would definitely recommend trying. Very nice and respectful lady working the register. Will be back again.

Food was good, Mexican dishes seasoning varies from state to state, La Finca seasoning is closer to the state of Michoacan Mexico.

Update~~~ food has gotten much better and its consistent. Its usually ready pretty quick too. I really wanted to like this place. Have been here three times. The tinga tacos are pretty good. The birria taco was very bland, lacking meat and very fatty. The quesabirria with consume is okay. The consume was more like a warm tomato flavored oil, not very good. The tacos were very very small, not much bigger than the frozen mini tacos you get at the grocery store. They really need to work on portions for the prices they charge. Again, lacking seasoning or flavor, just meh, very bland. The rice is also very dry and flavorless. Tables were dirty and the trash so full couldn't empty our tray afterwards. They were not busy, so maybe instead of staring at your phone, make the place look presentable. Tried this place three different times, unfortunately 3 strikes you're out. This was my last visit.

This is a popular Taco place in Howell, Michigan. The menu is limited, and the prices are higher than expected. I was expecting a Mexican Food restaurant with a full menu. The menu is what you would typically see on a food truck, which is the origin of this place. The food quality was good. I would only consider this place for quick snacks rather than a meal.

Owner is incredibly nice, place is clean. Food is mediocre. Got a burrito, and it was edible, it wasn't amazing but it wasn't the worst I had. I feel there are more flavorful Mexican places around.

Second time we've been there, food has been good. But they burnt the $ out of our Birria burrito, and of course didn't know till we got home on a take out order. Inedible and should have just made another one, could have used same filling just needed a new tortilla. Seems like such an easy thing to fix.

The carne asada was really chewy and fatty. I had to spit out almost every bite. The Pastor was better. The salsas are delicious.

Had the nacho's with beef and chicken. Don't know how they did it but the cheese was melted on top and all the meat was cold and the beef was extremely chewy. First time there and probably the last. Had better!!

The tacos are pretty decent and have an authentic taste. Had the tounge, tripe, and pastor tacos. Good flavor. However, there was almost no meat in the tacos and you can hardly taste it. A good authentic taco should be meaty and have a good tortilla to meat ratio. Like I said, the flavor was OK, it's just the my tacos felt empty and boring.

I love my mexican food and eat at mexican restaurants frequently. The food wasn't bad, but the salsa is bland. Ordered a couple of beef birria dinners and a chicken burrito to go. Tacos were decent, but the burrito was more bean and rice than chicken. Gotta give 1 star to the atmosphere and 2 for the service though, because there really wasn't any service. Most mexican restaurants you sit at give you chips n salsa. We had to buy ours. And when the gal did bring them to us, she brought us squirt bottles with salsa...no cups or bowls. So we're suppose to squirt the salsa now and not dip and scoop. That was definitely a first. There was no AC either. Mind you it was 87° today. So not only was it scorching hot, no AC, but the 8 ft windows that cover the front of the establishment made it seem like we were eating inside of a tanning bed....not even joking. The pops we ordered were piss warm by time we got our food. The dining experience was horrible. To top it off, why even ask for tips when we have to walk to the register and order our own food? Like I said, food was ok...nothing special. Just thought I'd bring the wife to try a new restaurant. Won't be back.

Burrito was all lettuce, no rice and little to no meat. Little flavor, would not go back

They double up the corn tortillas instead of cooking them all the way… meat is flavorless. Don’t recommend. I’ll drive to Mexican Town next time to get some true authentic Mexican food.

Ordered tacos with tomatoes, only four little tomato pieces on tacos. Meat had no flavor. Really disappointed. My husband has had a upset stomach since he ate there this afternoon. Will not be going back. Really wanted it to be good. Salsa was really disappointing.

Sadly. If you are looking for authentic the tacos are as good as it gets , everything else seems to he geared to the American pallet if you know what I mean , tacos were ok , salsa extremely watered down and lack of spice, pozole is usually thicker based red broth , it was very clear and watery , little to no flavor anticipated finding something decent around here unfortunately this was dissappionting especially for Hispanic food

If you don't want meat in your tamales, this is the place. They're basically tubes of cornmeal with the tiniest hint of meat. Total ripoff, I feel scammed. I've been here a few times before and the food was fine, but this was not fine. Overall the food is mid... not amazing, not terrible, just middle of the road "authentic" Mexican. Authentic used very loosely. Honestly, it's just barely better than Taco Bell. Probably won’t be back. Don't buy the tamales unless you actually hate meat.
