Pazzo Restaurant

Really enjoyed this place. They have their own take for the pappardelle Bolognese but it was delectable and I would certainly order it again. The scallops appetizer was pretty good. My table ordered 4 filet mignons and each person had theirs cooked a little different than they ordered it. One in particular was burned on the outside but still pink on the middle, so seems like it just was cooked wrong. The service was mostly nice but there's a few young kids on staff that are slightly unprofessional.

First time here, it's been recommended to me a few times by family. It was my granddaughters college grad party. WOW this food was absolutely delicious. Appetizers so tasty, I had the salmon entree. It was perfectly cooked. Our server Tara, was just wonderful,so attentive to our every need. They made this party excellent.

Absolutely beautiful, trendy and delicious food. Nothing bad to say at all. Had been here once before a long time ago, and it was just as good the second time. Started with the meatball appetizer, super tender and really very good. There were 3 of us and it had 3 meatballs so it was perfect. They also brought some nice warm bread, butter and olives. I got the fresh tagliatelle with bolognese, absolutely fantastic and a nice lunch portion. My husband and son split a vodka pizza and sausage sandwich. They said everything was great. I did sneak a piece of the pizza and it was yummy. I bet all the food is fantastic, cant wait to go back!

Dinner was terrific and was paired with 4 drinks for 130ish without tip. Short ribs were excellent, one of the best I had. Yes, I was shocked too as who orders short ribs at an Italian place? Worth it and something I would try over and over again! The only note I’d make is I wish there were more reduction sauce. The vodka pasta was rich and creamy. I wish there were more. And the cheesecake was 8/10. I make my cheesecake, so I prefer mine, but this was a New York-style cheesecake, too sweet in my opinion but good for a restaurant to serve. The sauce was very tart but with something extremely sweet- well paired. Bonus point- our waiter was cheerful and made our Saturday night meal enjoyable with many laughs. 9/10

The food in Pazzo it's very authentic. I order the pepperoni pizza it was to die for, I thought I was going to be a simple pizza but oh boy, this is a must of you like pepperoni pizza. This is a true Italian restaurant. The service could be better, they did not pick up the plates I literal have to call them to pick it up and bring me new utensils. I think it's because they have young waitress.

We went here for Mother's Day Lunch, and despite it being packed, the staff were very attentive and friendly. The food was amazing! Their chocolate lava cake and fra diavolo were excellent. If you're looking for a great Italian spot, this is the place to go.

Food was incredible. Staff is friendly, inviting, and very accommodating. And the gluten free pizza was amazing. Highly recommend!

Had a great lunch with family here in Red Bank. The penne vodka was very good and the atmosphere is really nice. Convenient parking garage next door.

Pazzo was recommended by a few friends. They told me I needed to go on Monday when they had the half-price Pizza and Pasta. my husband and I absolutely loved the food. I had rigatoni with eggplant pieces mixed through with marinara sauce. And he had a specialty pizza. We also love the ambiance. I definite Touch of Italy

Classy place- will step up and correct wrongs by staff and kitchen. Great atmosphere! Also the Peroni on tap is a personal favorite! Costco offers dining cards at a discount.

Pazzo is such a fantastic Italian restaurant! The food is fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked every time. The staff is so friendly, and the hostesses are always welcoming and attentive, which makes the whole experience even better. Definitely one of my favorite spots for great Italian food!

Delicious as always but everybody knows the food is great. Today we sat at the bar. We had an amazing bartender John, It was so busy, but he was super attentive, friendly, and drinks were amazing! out of the corner of my eye, I saw Tony Ann, another bartender, taking care of the drinks for the tables, holy cow, she was amazing to watch. Tickets coming in, non stop, handling it like a pro, every drink with such a beautiful attitude and smile. Never looked frazzled, it was awesome to watch! I think from now on, we’re always going to sit at the bar To eat. What a great day it was and as I said food is always delicious , but the staff is excellent!

Had a great time at Pazzo, we stopped in before a show and sat in the enclosed sidewalk area. The atmosphere was very nice and welcoming. We had John as our server and he was awesome. He was very friendly, attentive and funny. We told him we were seeing a show made sure to get our orders in so we could eat and enjoy it. All of the food was very tasty, Chicken Franchise, Skirt Steak, Pizza were all very good. The gluten free options were also a bonus for my daughter and I. I'm usually not impressed with gluten free pizza but this was very good. We will be back.

Tonianne is truly exceptional at what she does! Her service is consistent— friendly, attentive & every drink is made with genuine care and love! She’s the kind of bartender who makes you feel welcome the moment you sit! I’ve noticed she’s not around as often, and I miss her warm welcoming smile!

Its been some time since I can genuinely say I sat down and had a good meal. Well, that changed last night! Every single dish was fresh, hot, and delicious!! We will 110% be coming back to try one of the other dishes we pondered ordering. I highly recommend!! Thank you so much!!

Absolutely delicious!! I haven't been there in a while... So happy I returned! Pazzo is a beautiful, family-owned restaurant. They have a great menu. But last night, their specials were too tempting to pass up. MMX pie (yum!) Halibut and Shrimp Scampi entrées (both so fresh & delicious!) And the peanut butter cheesecake (OMG!) Even though the restaurant was busy, the staff was friendly & attentive, making us feel at home. A true neighborhood gem!

Excellent no nonsense high value Italian place. Friendly and can seat you. Easy reservations. Good lighting. Well designed menu. High quality food and bread. Logical, low drama restaurant. Visible Italian kitchen. Good with groups. Nice bar. No long waits or attitude. 5 stars.

Quick place to grab a meal before a show. Food was meh, definitely could of been better, but not horrid. Pricey, small portions, and loud. Great for a before the show meal, but that's literally it.

Great food quality and good menu variety. Always a nice, upbeat but relaxed atmosphere. I'd give it 5 stars if it wasn't for the prices being a little higher than comparable places and the constant upselling (could have just been our waiter) but never had a bad meal here. The pistachio cheesecake is delightful.

Had dinner on the covered patio. It was like almost sitting outside, for a cool evening having the covered area made it comfortable. The ambience is very nice. All 3 of us enjoyed our meal. I wasn’t very hungry so had the buratta with prosciutto, pears strawberries and honey. It was very delicious. My friend rather enjoyed her penne vodka. The bread is excellent and accompanied the food nicely. Our server, Brian was polite and professional. We will definitely be back.

Good experience overall. The food was good. A little fumble with the orders, but overall, it is still a good experience. Place is spacious, so our giant stroller was not in anyone's way.

Beautiful restaurant with an good wine list - at reasonable prices. Service was great or waitress was on top of everything. Food was hit and miss, the Tuna dinner was very good and the pasta with clams not so much. All in all the waitress and ambiance are enough to bring me back.

Good Italian food . Service and drinks consistently good. Happy Hour menu is always tasty. Update Nov. 2020 - comfortable outdoor dining. Wine - down Wednesdays our new favorite. 1/2 price bottles of wine. Fig Pizza amazing...broccoli raab n sausage pasta - wow!

The food was great. Our server, whose name I can't recall ( the guy who resembles Paul Rudd ), was friendly and attentive. We were outdoors, so the sirens got to be a lot; not the restaurant's fault, of course.

Only deducting one star because they didn't have Russian dressing which is my FAVORITE otherwise decent size salad with juicy grilled chicken breast!

Was in the area for an event and came here based on the quantity and high google review. Pretty much spot on... Great food and service and the restaurant is really beautiful. Bar area have a bunch of TVs to watch sporting events. Mix of folks dressed nice to casual. My only gripe is the pasta portions are a bit smallish. And when you add drinks and some appetizers it was on the pricey side... pizza is reasonably priced though.

Steak was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. The service was just awful. It was really disappointing. Our waiter forgot to put our food order in and we waited well over an hour to get our food. The waiter was not very apologetic and once our food came out he didn’t bother to check on us to see if everything was okay or if we needed anything. Great food and atmosphere but really sad service it’s a shame.

The food is very good, the price is right and portions are huge. Unfortunately, the service was unacceptable - my waitress asked me if I wanted more bread and never brought it to our table. She wasn't very responsive throughout the night. Despite her lackluster service, I gave her a 15% tip. Here is where it gets very interesting. She followed me to the door and asked me if everything was alright. Very insulting! I've been coming to Pazzo for years and the service isn't the same. Read the Google reviews and you will see this is a common theme.

There is a nice bar in the back, a beautiful open kitchen concept main dining area and a spacious outdoor seating in the front. Plenty of staff around to move things along, great service indeed! We had a few things, vongole oregano, Italian style wings, Chicken marsala, chilean sea bass marechi ara in seafood sauce and halibut. Marechi ara is basically mixed seafood in red tomato sauce, which was too fishy. Very disappointing.

We made reservations at 6pm for a show at 730pm, they called to confirm , I confirmed . We got there 550pm, was asked to go to bar and they will call me closer to my reservation. Call was never made decided to eat at bar since it was 640pm.. point is for a show make a reservation at 5pm or maybe give patrons a time limit during show times . Food was good , bartender great, Hostess do better .

The chicken Parm sandwich had a frozen cutlet about 1/4 thick, on a ciabatta roll with a slice of mozzarella cheese and no sauce. I asked for sauce which came after the sandwich was delivered to the table. It was not what was expected from a restaurant of this caliber. The beet salad with fig and feta cheese was good. The waiter didn't come to our table to ask if everything was ok

Well the food was great, we loved the dining experience, and we loved the waiter (Daniel G). He was very attentive and addressed our culinary questions. There were two issues, I had reserved through open table, and specifically asked for an inside dining experience, not outside. The front desk put us outside, on the street, in the hot sun, next to a very busy road with loud traffic - really? We returned to the desk and I showed the receptionist my open table reservation, her response was you were booked outside, and looked at me as if that was it. Fortunately a manager saw the lack of executive function going on and seated us inside without me saying another word. Perhaps if you reserve you should NOT use Open Table, and just call for reservations. I gave the overall experience a three star for that reason. Not a good start. Second we ordered the Pizzelle Tower for desert, it never came in time for us to make our show (we waited 33 minutes for desert). The restaurant took it off our bill, thank you.

By far the worst service I ever experienced. The waitress would ask a question while already walking away from the table, never once smiled, and at the end of the dinner literally threw the check on the table while walking by us. It was disgusting. On top of that, the food looked good but don't let the pictures deceive you. It was over salted as much as it was also bland, They left a heartburn that we are still feeling 24 hours later. Overall, never a place to visit again.

We went to have dinner on a Thursday. More than half of the restaurant was empty. We had 6:45 reservations and did not get our food till 8:05. The service was beyond bad. The waitress took an order for a bottle of wine and it took forever to get that. She didn’t took our order and all the food took forever to come out. Other people seated after us got their food before we did. She never bothered to come back and check on our table. Just as I was complaining to the manager on duty about our food not coming out, it was served. He apologized and said he would chat with us after we ate dinner. He, too never came back. If this is how the manager acts, then no wonder his staff follows suit. There are way too many good Italian restaurants in Red Bank to give this place any more business. This is upsetting because the food is good but not good enough to accept deplorable service.

I visited this place a few nights ago with my partner and his family for dinner, I ordered the skirt steak on their menu served rare. Everything tasted fine and we went home after, then the next morning I woke up with food poisoning. I know the bacteria came from the steak as no one else got sick after except for me. While I understand food poisoning can come from any restaurant, I expect better for $40. Genuinely this was a nice place, and I don’t like to leave bad reviews, however I left it was necessary for public safety.

I am very disappointed after being a loyal customer who has visited every Monday for four years for the half pizza and pasta special. We always order the same thing, and the recent changes are shocking. Not only are the portions noticeably smaller, but we were informed that our favorite item, the ravioli, is being excluded from the half off entirely, despite being a 'crowd favorite' according to our server. This decision is very upsetting. It feels like a disservice to dedicated, regular customers who come specifically for that offering, and I find it confusing to remove an item that is clearly so popular. Don’t make it half pizza and pasta if you are going to tell us when we are about to order that certain pastas are full price.

The waiter kept pushing some semolina pasta. When asked if it was an upcharge, she talked around it and never actually said it was. It was +$4 for terrible, undercooked pasta. It was clearly a tactic to get a higher bill and for them to get rid of a product they probably know is bad. Don’t fall for it. Waiter was Naznia? Tried to read the handwriting, unsure if that’s correct so apologies if I’m wrong.
