Amazing spot for hot chicken. The chicken is always fresh, juicy, and full of flavor, and the spice levels are on point. Even the mild has great taste, and the hot really brings the heat if you want it. Portions are generous, fries are crispy, and everything tastes made to order. Staff is friendly and the place has a good vibe. Definitely one of the best hot chicken spots around. Highly recommend.

Had a great experience at Dave’s Hot Chicken! The food was amazing, but what really stood out was the customer service. The cashier, Sakib, was incredibly kind and funny he genuinely made us smile and made the whole visit better. People like him make you want to come back. Highly recommend!

Chicken flavor is SO good! We got Medium and it was perfect! Fries are also good, if you’re a pickle fan you’ll love the flavor of the dill pickle chips and the amounts are large! Friendly service and clean atmosphere we will definitely be returning.

Redding has a lot of good chicken spots, and I think Dave's could possibly be my favorite. The Red White & Blue slush is top tier. Also tried the chocolate milkshake for the first time, and it might be the best one I've ever tried. The cashier was super chill and made the experience cool too.

I have never went to a better fast food restaurant in my life. The ambiance was in another level. The staff were extremely friendly and kind. The prices are great. We ordered sliders and bites. I highly recommend this restaurant in Redding!

I came here around 7 PM and the restaurant was about half full. The guy who served us was absolutely fantastic-super friendly and helpful. The chicken was incredible, probably some of the best I've had, and the overall vibe of the place was really cool. The only small downside was that there wasn't any ice available, and a couple of the sodas were marked out. But honestly, that's a small thing, and everything else more than made up for it. Overall, definitely a 5-star spot. I'll be back for sure.

Five stars and a hundred flames for Dave's Hot Chicken, all thanks to an incredible employee named Peter! Seriously, the spice level was nothing compared to how awesome this guy was. He was on fire! He was super helpful, energetic, and made the whole ordering process a blast. It’s rare to find someone who genuinely enjoys their job, but Peter's enthusiasm was contagious. He made us feel like valued customers, and his recommendations were spot on. The food was, of course, delicious, but Peter is the reason we're already planning our next visit. He's a true asset to the team.

Let’s just say: I’ve eaten a lot of hot chicken in my day. But the Reaper at Dave’s Hot Chicken? This was the first time I’ve ever stared at my food after signing a waiver and thought: Maybe I’ve finally met my match. Walking in, you’re greeted with bold graffiti art repping Redding hard, bright neon, and that clean, industrial vibe that sets the tone is fun, energetic, but serious about heat. The ordering process was easy, the staff was friendly (and maybe slightly amused that I ordered the Reaper), and the food came out quick. The Reaper Bites hit different. The flavor was legit fire, not just heat for heat’s sake but after the first bite, the burn crept in like a slow ambush. It didn’t punch me instantly; it just climbed, and climbed, and climbed, until my brain politely asked my pride, Are we sure about this? My eyes watered, my sinuses cleared, and for one brief moment, I felt like I could see into the future. The fries were crispy, perfectly seasoned, and honestly a needed lifeline to give my mouth a temporary reprieve between bites. The pickles? Lifesavers. Would I do it again? Absolutely. But with great heat comes great responsibility. If you’re chasing the thrill, the Reaper delivers. Just don’t forget you will be signing paperwork beforehand. This isn’t a gimmick it’s a challenge.

This Dave’s was great! Cool atmosphere. Clean bathroom and restaurant space. I waited about 10 or so minutes for my food to be ready. I ordered the #2 deal (2 sliders + fries), and it was tasty. I wish the chicken were a little on the crispier side, but the last time I went to Dave’s in San Diego it was great. The service was friendly, though fast.

The recommendation I got was g l o w i n g, so my expectations were high. The slider was really good, the loaded fries were alright. I think what I was missing was some crisp freshness in the form of lettuce and a slice of tomato. Though, a bite of honey-covered tender with a slice of pickle drenched in Dave's sauce was pretty flipping good. They forgot to give us ketchup, cutlery and napkins, which sucks when you discover it back on the road. Maybe that was instant-karma for not tipping the friendly kiosk I ordered at?!

Super impressed with both the quality of the food and how hot it actually was. Extra hot was superb and flavorful, not just pure performative heat. Will for sure try reaper next time! Chicken is crispy and fried but there is not a ton of extra breading, which is great. Oil tasted fresh and everything was perfect with the sauces. Subtracting two stars because I ordered from a kiosk and it asks you to tip 15%. I think tips are for humans that provided good service? I had literally not even tried your food before and was tapping on a screen. Does this go to the software engineers who made your kiosk or what? Found the tipping thing funny but the food was spot on!

I reviewed this place when they first opened and the portions were great for the price. However, the quality has taken a massive hit. I paid $15 for the meal I got, and the chicken was way too small for the price. I can get much better portions for the price at different places around here. I won't dog on them too hard, since it could be a minor mistake, but I still feel like I overpaid for what I got.

Just beware when ordering Dave’s “ large sauce” it is indeed not large & we were charged almost $4 just for this little thing . They changed the sizing so please change it online . Don’t get scammed out $4 when you can just get extra packet sauces .
