Best breakfast of all fast food places here in town. The others could learn a thing or two from these folks. Staff seems well trained and give the impression they actually care. Hats off to whoever manages this place. Try the breakfast burrito. Very consistent on entire menu.

I love hot dogs 😍. Der Wienerschnitzel is what they originally called it back in the 80's. Have then and now been the place to go for the best chilly cheese dogs. And lets not forget the corn dogs. This makes a great change from the normal burger/ taco fast food choices. Everyone tends to forget about hot dogs. Do yourself a favor and pay the extra for the pretzel bun, it's worth it. Chili fries are pretty dang good too.

In the rain, the attendant brought out the 3 item order to our car, 3rd in the drive thru.. as the car at the window was ordering 48 meals??@#%^&. That was great..she was soo very thoughtful...proactive, extremely professional. In the rain,twice to our car.no real wait time was had by us....😘

There is no Wienerschnitzel near me so any chance I go. The only thing I get are the corn dog [ even they're not hand dipped ], chili dog & frie combo. There are always coupons on their website. This time there was one for a corn dog, chili dog & chili fries for $ 6 ! [ among others ] In the fall they have bratwursts, for a limited time, in honor of Oktoberfest. Soo good. 🌭 If you are getting individual foods, [ not a combo ] there should be a senior d/c. Enjoy ! 😋

Always a friendly face there and entertaining to watch the staff do their jobs. You can tell they enjoy what they do. Sad the pastrami is gone til next year... But fish is good too.

I love this place. Hasn't really changed menu items over the years, which is a wonderful thing because I can go there and get exactly what I love and not have to worry about them changing the recipe or removing it from the menu. Is like to see more of them around, shameful they're not as many as McDonald's.

Drive thru. The lady taking our order was very engaging! She had us laughing as she suggested snacks to indulge in. It's my 1st time in years stopping here, and she made me want to return sooner.. The brats were just what I needed. I love when the customer service is engaging and memorable in a positive manner! Too many are just "there."

It was nostalgic for me considering it was over 29 years since I've been to one of these. This location did not disappoint, if I could move to Redding I would, just for this place!

Great hot dogs in my opinion. I always stop there anytime I'm in Redding. I had Hot dogs cut down the middle and put on sourdough bread with dill pickle and sauerkraut. It's the best. But unfortunately, they're getting a little pricey if you order anything other than corn dog or hot dog. Those two items are still very reasonably priced. But the sandwich I ordered was $8.99. and with the corn dog and soda my final tally was $15.88. a little more than what I like to pay for a hot dog. But I was craving it so I did it. I'm glad I did. These guys make the freshest and tastiest hot dogs and hamburgers around. You really got to try their breakfast special it's one of the best values I've ever had... With scrambled eggs, sausage patty, two biscuits and gravy, and a potato patty, with a coffee!

After a very long day driving, we came into town ready to crash for the night. We were hungry, but most places were already closed. They were very accommodating in creating food off the menu for us (chili dogs). The food hit the spot. We would go back again.

I was super happy and excited to be able to get cans of the wienerschnitzel chili! When you've grown up eating here and now live 1000 miles away it's a life saver! I even stocked up for a few friends. Everyone was friendly and got a laugh over my $70 order since I was bringing goodies back to all my fellow Portland Wienerschnitzel junkies.

The color scheme is awful. How can you beat 5 corn dogs for $6 though. Staff is usually upbeat and personal. Their dipped cones are some of the best I've had.

We stopped by when some really really sh!tty painters were getting overspray on every single bush and concrete area close to the building, among other things. The funky pineapple French fries I got were not too bad.

It is convenient, right on 299, and I had a dog in the car. It's not like I could stop for a meal in 107F weather leaving the dog in the car. The menu board had all kinds deals with elaborate combinations and side dishes; however, the cashier did not hesitate to accept my off-menu order of a regular hot dog in a bun with a small fries. There was almost no wait time, and i was back on the road counting down the miles to my destination (McArthur). The hot dog and fries were good!

The wait was long and so was the line. But the food was alright. I got the corn dog and plain hot dog on pretzel. the pretzel dog was delicious, soft, chewy. Corn dog was average the small was a decent small not a baby small. If you dont mind the wait it's good.

They have kept the lines and drive through moving instead of doung an intentional slow down and blaming it in covid. Thwy also listen to special orders i stead of just saying ok but ignoring them. Much better service than any other fast food in town.

Older location, could use some updates, but the food and staff are great. Oh and bathrooms require a key, ask up front. All of the staff was friendly and helpful. The food was fresh, it's what I expected from a Weinschnitzel, which is what matters, it wasn't old or half cooked. I ordered 5 chili dogs without a bun and added cheese, they put a lot of cheddar on each dog, and a lot of chili. There are definitely some updates to the store needed unfortunately, it's just old, some areas need to be repainted, old benches, bathrooms need updates, etc, and that's my only complaint. It feels old, some sanding and a fresh coat of laquer or paint and some buffing out scratches would honestly solve those issues if they're not going to overhaul the whole store, which is unlikely. The employees are always very nice. Just wish it wasn't always swarming with homeless people. It really makes it hard to enjoy your lunch when your hit up 10 times for a handout. But other than that its just as good as any other location.

He went through the drive thru knocked on the window waited 10 minutes for someone to finally answer a lady came up to the window and said NO NOT NOW when my fiance showed up during business hours. 'WIENER-CHINTZY' WOULD BE A BETTER MONIKER The standard store bought hot dogs you boil, pan fry or roast on your barbecue grill at home are head-and-shoulders better than anything you'll find on D.W.'s menu—and a heck of a lot cheaper, of course. These are facts that haven't changed in all the years since their inception, and are true now more than ever. And yet they persevere—go figure. As for other menu items, their cheeseburgers are outright garbage—big shocker, huh?—so do avoid them at all costs. But then, I guess what they say about never ordering the chicken at a steakhouse sort of applies to this type of fare as well. The most pleasant surprise: their french fries are actually quite good, on par with McD's in terms of flavor, believe it or not. Another plus, the wait staff were very pleasant and attentive and the facility quite clean; pretty impressive for a low rent fast food chain that's often located in poorer neighborhoods, frankly. In summary, this chain has made its name for pretty much one menu item, and they can't even get that right! Unforgivable. As the old saying goes, “You had one job!”

Where to begin... First off the service was lackadaisical the building its self looked run down and in desperate need of maintaining... The food ended up being worse. Then to top it off a bunch of transients came in yelling walking around the entire dining area begging for money and being down right obnoxious. We will NEVER eat here again. Once and done!

I went through the drive thru and ordered a chilli dog. I was on my way to a beginning of a trip. As I was driving down the road I opened the bag to see that they had not even wrapped their chilli dog in the paper but they actually had just thrown it in my bag. Noticed NOBODY was wearing gloves while preparing food. Using dirty hand rags to wipe the cups after wiping their hands. The young man who stated he was the manager was VERY rude when I asked for a refund. Also, received a partial refund on order when I didn't receive any of my food. This place is extremely unsanitary, with young kids running it. I will NOT be back!

How this place is in business is beyond me. They do not like people of color there. Manger refunded me my money because I was offended that she asked me for ID on a $5.00 transaction. The I go in my brand new BMW and use my debit card through the drive through and was never asked for ID it's called profiling. Me and some friends went in to get some hot dogs and ice cream and the lady at the window was very rude and basically threw our food at us. They slammed the window and didnt give us our ice cream and we had to yell multiple times for her to come back and when she did she was still rude. They messed up my order! I’ve never been to a Wienerschnitzel and didn’t know what to expect. I’m vegetarian and ordered a BBQ Veggie dog and a Chicago Veggie dog. I headed down the road with my order to go. Not knowing what to expect, I ate the first one. But then I discovered the two hotdogs looked the same. After discovering it was possibly not what I ordered, it looks like they gave me two Junkyard dogs…which are meat. Absolutely disgusting!!! How do you mess up an order that bad and serve two completely opposite items of what was ordered!? Incredibly frustrating and disappointing! I was already down the road and it’s not worth my time to go back. Don’t eat here. They can’t do a simple job.

I have been a long time customer, however after the new owners took over earlier this year, the food is not good. The last few times I've been there, their hot dogs are not fresh, but dry and chewy. I could get better at AM PM. And the price is insane. For 2 hotdogs (one plain and one mustard), 2 small fries and 2 small sodas came out to over $20. Please do better!

All the tables were dirty, meanwhile there were no customers. I ordered 2 Chicago veggie dogs. One was a veggie and very good. The other one I received was not veggie like I ordered and was beef and on a pretzel bun. I am vegan, I recognize the taste and smell of actual meat a mile away. When I went to complain, the woman behind the counter, touched my food, moved it all around and told me she was the one who made it and it's veggie. Then she expected me to eat it after she had just handle money, touched the register and then touched my food. Will never go back.

Poor service, Luke warm food, and spent $12+ for a mustard dog, corn dog and medium fountain drink. Wienerschnitzel used to be a really cheap alternative to the fast food options. No so anymore. In fact I would say it is the biggest rip off considering what it costs them to make that food.

They forgot my fries. They took forever on our order and one cook had a mask but on his chin. The female manager was also cooking with no mask at all. I personally dont enjoy wearing them, but at my place of work I always do and I wear it correctly cause I enjoy having a job.

My favorite thing in the whole world is to have an all beef chicago dog. It cost $1 ×tra for all beef. I know I'm not crazy and I have been here at least 6 times and they don't give me the all beef dog but they charge the $1 and tell you it's beef. Why do I know it's not? Because I work in Yuba City and Woodland and order the exact same thing. Beef dog is plumper and tastes totally different.🤪
