Perfect sushi place in my opinion. Small dining room, so quiet and comfortable. The sushi was incredibly fresh and flavorful. The rolls are simple, which I prefer. Not too much rice and very few tempura fried or with cream cheese. Good prices, except the mixed drinks. I recommend avoiding those because they were $$$. I will definitely return.

He seated us and helped us with whatever we needed and he was funny and delightful. Because he's nine, I hope he's not there a lot, but because he's amazing, I hope he's there the next time we visit!

Osaka is one of the best sushi restaurants I have ever been to < upstate or downstate :- ) >. This family owned and operated gem makes you feel like you are at a friend’s house for dinner…. Beginning the first time you dine in or out, they take the time to know your name, your food preferences and continue to treat you like a royal guest each time. Sit at the sushi bar and chat it up with Chef, or go with a group of friends…. I think my favorite is having my check delivered by the 3rd generation …. Osaka never disappoints!

I love the fish here and to thing...i was going to Kingston before I realized I could get my sushi fix in Rhinebeck! The service is always kind and friendly -- the waitress remembers us and is very gracious. The atmosphere is casual and we always sit at the bar. I recommend it and even to go solo!

I had an absolutely amazing experience at Osaka Sushi in Rhinebeck, NY. The shirashi ($28) I ordered was nothing short of perfection – the fresh and generous assortment of sashimi on a bed of sushi rice was a true delight for my taste buds. The quality of the ingredients was top-notch, and the presentation was beautiful. The service was impeccable, and the staff were friendly and attentive. I can't wait to return for another delightful dining experience!

This little place is my favorite for rolls and sushi. They don't have an extensive menu so what they do offer, is made very well. I tried it for the first time during the pandemic so I could only take out, but I look forward to meeting friends here as it has a very cozy, friendly vibe.

Osaka doesn’t look like much from the outside but once inside and the food comes, you will be pleasantly surprised. The delicious rolls were very well prepared and presented. Although the Japanese beer was not draught, it was ice cold and served as a perfect accompaniment to the main entrees.

I’ve been a grateful customer since they first opened. I had the curry chicken and a garden roll today. It was amazing, as always! Even though I’m now living in Manhattan, Osaka is far and away my favorite Japanese restaurant ❤️

The food is always great. I am Japanese myself and recommend the sushi. The miso soup could use a but more flavor, but it is the same in about any restaurant aside from homemade. The fish is always fresh and the drinks were prefect.

I love this place and wish I could have taken the whole restaurant back home with us.
