I enjoy this place, especially on hot days! Their beer is refreshing and they’ve always got something interesting a new! Get the oysters! The pretzels are fantastic! During the summer they have lobster rolls that are to die for! The pizzas are made from scratch… really you can’t go wrong!! I also recommend looking out for board game days hosted on Sundays by a local comic and game store.

Stopped by Kingston Standard Brewing Co. and tried their popular Schwarzbier, dark, smooth, and surprisingly light. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and perfectly crafted beer. A must visit spot for anyone exploring Kingston.

Darn it! Forgot to take pics of the food, which was good! Got the seasonal butternut squash pizza, it was savory and yummy. Pepperoni pizza, which was great and the knackwurst ..soooo good. Get it! My favorite beer was the wee heavy scotch ale. It was perfection. Hubby had an old fashioned and we also had a spiked cider. Worth the stop.

Stopped in on the way the Headless Horseman Hayrides after a long drive and the bartender was awesome and patient with us. The Schwarzbier was the best I've ever had, the pizza and arugula salad were outstanding as well. Great spot glad we stopped!

Nano brewery with some really cool barrel aged sours and awesome sourdough pizza. Props for their community pizza program for feeding those less fortunate. Cheers. Pizza was so good I forgot to take a picture.

🦞 Roll was really good. I stopped by for a beer and a snack. The food menu was pretty limited but I can't wait to go back to enjoy the oysters. I had the Brett IPA and it was delicious. I asked the the guy at the register if his name was Brett and the beer was his namesake however it was not. Brett is names after something else that grows wild so it means a wild IPA. Anyway, I will be back.

Nice little brewery with a great selection of beers and additional drinks/nonalcoholic options. There are various food choices, we tried the pretzel which was delicious. We really appreciated that one of the staff quickly had a set of crayons and papers ready when our toddler was getting antsy.

Excellent. The food and beer is delicious and the focus on European beers is welcome break from typical IPA overload. Cool spot and friendly staff. They’ve got a good thing going.

Came here after a hike and was blown away. Solid food options and had the best pale ale I ever had. Immediately went to purchase a 4pack. If you’re in the area this is a must!

Really good addition to Kingston's beer scene. New batches nearly every week, each one getting better (and they were good to begin with!). Fun atmosphere, equally fun staff. A real neighborhood spot in a neighborhood that needed a gathering place.

Honestly when people ask me what my favorite breweries are Kingston Standard is my number 1 next to Stony Point. Kingston Standard only puts out the most delicious and satisfying beers i have ever had. The taproom is gorgeous and the food hits the spot. When i go i have to stock up because it is far from me but because once i tatse their beer long after my supply runs out it is a sweet reminder of " distance makes the heart grow fonder" if you havent been its a shame because you are missing out.

I’m not a beer person at all, and I can say I had the best beer I’ve ever tasted at the Kingston standard! Really nice ambiance, and everything is brewed in small batches. The owner was at the register and was so excited to talk about all the processes and different beers. Will definitely be back!

THIS is a friendly micro-brewery in the middle of it all yet tucked away...and in a refurbished garage! Get ready for a high-end, unique beer tasting experience. They're also shucking oysters and making pizzas. The diversified customer base reminds me of Euro-culture: it's everyone's local brewery.

Came here during a weekend upstate, and the whole group thinks that this is some of the best - if not the best - pizza we have EVER had! So insanely delicious - try the potato pizza if it's still on the menu. Also love the community 'pay it forward' program they offer at checkout - amazing initiative!

My favorite beer in this area of New York. Absolute mandatory stop when we're in the Rhinebeck, Saugerties and Woodstock area. Great beer with a relaxed atmosphere. The bonus is that they are very community-minded. There is a "buy a pie, donate a pie" program. What makes it even more awesome is that regardless whether they receive donations or not, they donate those pies.

Have your private event here!!! Or just come for the great drinks, amazing food and friendly staff. We held our rehearsal dinner/welcome drinks here for our wedding and Kingston Standard hit the nail on the head with the indoor/outdoor taproom vibe. Rhys, the manager, was so amazing to work with throughout the entire process. We got rave reviews from the guests! We can't wait to come back for years to come.

Loved this place! We enjoyed a tasty (and fast!) margherita pizza with two delicious drinks. I had their Berliner Weisse and my friend had their sour IPA and lemonade (each a half pour put into one glass to make a radler). The staff was so helpful and nice and it was a perfect stop on our trip.

This is my favorite place. The guys that run it are full of heart and the focus is deeply routed in community and quality. The oysters are the best you’ll have anywhere. The beer is a labor of love that’s reflected in every sip. The sourdough pizza will blow your mind. #favoriteplace

My wife and I were in the area, needed a quick bite and drink and decided to stop by KSB. First time visiting, staff was great, place looked clean and spacious despite the brewery's small footprint. Tried all their products... the smoked lager and the schwarzbier really really really stood out to us took home a couple of 4 packs of each! I have to say... I'm impressed by the product this little spot is producing, we'll done.

Thank you to the entire team at Kingston Standard Brewing Co. for hosting our private wedding welcome party for about 70-80 people!! Nate and his entire team were FANTASTIC—incredible service, delicious food, and spot-on with the details. Nate was so diligent and careful with the planning in the lead-up, he spent hours with us on the phone mapping out floor plan, the menu, and overall guest experience. He is a gem of a GM and let us bring in our own bud vases and hook up our own playlist—it was the most memorable night. They have such an extensive menu which was perfect for our guests, with an amazing selection of wine, cider and even non-alcoholic sodas in addition to beer, it made it perfect place to host our party!!

This is a wonderful place to get pizza and beer. Just fabulous. We attended a private event and were able to enjoy a wide selection of pizza and I enjoyed their stout. It was excellent. Great brewery in Kingston! We ordered some pale ales and the El Dorado Lager, all great beers. And the Margherita pizza was delicious! Very fresh and the dough was light and soft. We had to come back the next day and try the other pizza options! There was outdoor seating and indoor as well, and the staff were friendly.

Visited on a Saturday afternoon in the middle of May. Nice spacious brewery taproom with seating both inside and out. Somewhat small range of beers on tap, with a seeming emphasis on old world styles (which I like). The rauchbier I had was excellent. Only one serving size offered. Average prices. Friendly and attentive service. Appealing food menu but we weren’t eating during our visit. Had a good experience here and I’d be interested in returning to try some more beers and perhaps some food.

I really enjoyed their beer. The pizza was okay; the sauce was a bit sour which I wasn’t really a fan of. The oysters were fresh and they come with hot sauce and a pink vinegar sauce. The lobster roll was really good! It’s great for a nice day time stop!

J

This place is really cool, beer was good, solid atmosphere, hiccup on food where we waited for a while but totally understandable as this place can only seat a max occupancy of maybe like 30 ish and it picked up quick with a small staff. Definitely a great place to drop by for lunch. Overall enjoyed my time here! Food wise: well fleet oysters were delicious (January) month for those wondering. Brussels we're a bit overdone and wouldn't get them again, pretzels were okay. Pep Pizza looked and smelled absolutely delicious, if I wasn't getting pizza for dinner I would have gotten it then!

M
Monica Marie

Stopped in here for a brewery experience while visiting the area. But we left because they did not offer flights, only full drafts. I’ve never in my life went to a brewery that didn’t offer flights or small pours so that was odd. It had a cool industrial atmosphere and looked nice to have a pizza and a beer (they also had wine) so we would come back for that. Just sadly didn’t meet my beer tasting needs :(

A
Ari W.

This places has a great vibe and some good beer options. Definitely not the best beer you’ll ever have but fun for a Saturday afternoon.

K

I stopped in 10 minutes after opening on. Thursday. I'm the only one there. I placed my order, she asked me to wait at the counter for the beer. She was taking awhile so I sat at a picnic table maybe 6ft from the counter. She came back, apologized for the wait, said she had trouble with the keg. She then said" here you go" and sat the beer down... aka come get it, I am not willing to walk a few more steps to hand it to you. Sorry but that was poor customer service right there, I also detected a negative vibe. Oh yeah the beer, almost forgot. I ordered the altbier. I have drank the original in Duesseldorf Germany on many occasions for a week or more at a time. His version was not quite it, color not even close, but drinkable nonetheless. Perhaps I will swing by again if in the area to give other beers and other staff a try.

P
Paul C.

I want to start off by saying the Pizza is AMAZING!!! When you're a first time person ordering over the phone and you see a pizza for $20 and the photo you have shows a "normal" size pizza that is what you would expect when you pick it up. It would be great if you either said how many servings or diameter so if you're a person ordering on the phone you know how many people it will serve. I had to go get more food because I was under the assumption it was a large pie. GREAT PIZZA though!!!

M
Mads Melvin

I wanted to like this place but sadly I feel like it has a long way to go. These critiques may seem harsh but I just want the business to do better and succeed and I’d like to be constructive: The menu is limited and the quality just doesn't stack up. Despite the clean presentation, the pizza crust was bland and kind of soggy, and the pizzas came out at very inconsistent timing (due to the lack of ovens in the establishment, we saw only two small ones). The sauce had an odd sour flavor to it that seems to be due to the use of canned crushed tomatoes - and the bjorn qorn was literally a bag you'd get at the supermarket (despite jokes that 'bjorn' was in the kitchen). For a place that seems to brand itself as artisanal and service that takes a decent amount of time, it doesn’t feel like the food is worth it. Being a brewery, the beer would be a selling point, but the Pale Ale and the Weiss were very watery, as were the cocktails. The Sour was quite good and was the highlight of our meal, just wish everything else we had matched. The vibe in the place was very “brooklyn hipsters moved up north” and the level of confidence in the establishment didn’t fit with the quality of the fare. I really hope to come by again in the future once improvements have been made, but until then I don’t see myself back here again. The staff were friendly and helpful and that makes me optimistic for the future.

A
Aaron Taylor

So for a Saturday, I feel there should be a more efficient way to produce drinks. Maybe 1 more person to help. If it were any busier I may not have stayed. The lobster roll was pretty good. But recipe wise , if it comes out cold like it did. Could use some mayo n celery. Tasted fresh however so that's key. Would go back if I was in the area to see if it changes. Nice staff also

L
Lindsay Hilscher

Did not measure up to high price point. Beers were disappointingly bland. Oysters and lobster roll were great, but very expensive for casual, minimal service.

Really disappointing experience. The pizza was ok and took forever for them to make—even when we ordered it in advance. When we ordered more pizza, we waited an hour when they said it would take 20-30 minutes. So after finally giving up on waiting, we asked for a refund…which for some reason, took a really long time for them to 1) find the order and 2) issue a refund. As a business owner—seeing how frustrating it was with toddlers in tow (with disabilities too)—it would have been good practice to be a bit more apologetic about the experience and issue a full refund. I hope they do better in the future.
