Nice atmosphere and friendly service. Excellent coffee. I appreciated that my quiche was warmed up in an oven and it was delicious. The customers were as friendly as the staff, just a really pleasant experience for my first visit!
Hello dear reader, please be sure to try the lentil burger. It is made of the produce of the earth and demands your interest. The cortado was a delight as well. I asked for it with half n half and it came in a delightful piece of clay art. Nothing like saying "for here" and it truly being for here. Atmosphere was quite nice, lots to see inside the shop and outside as well. But more than all else the staff was friendly and accommodating, down to the leafy Earth. - Devin
Awesome place! Love that they have a whole separate space for people to sit, it makes so much sense to to have a separate quiet place to sit without the hustle and bustle! A bit pricey but what isnt lol
We absolutely love Village coffee it’s a great local neighborhood spot. The food is fantastic. The pastries, especially the gluten-free ones are amazing But the real star of the show for us for years is always been the guy with the glasses making the coffee, the barista he’s a real legend super nice guy and super patient but also makes amazing coffee. We told him that yesterday as well. This place is a staple and we are very appreciative
Exceptional food, service, and the longer I’ve been coming here the more I appreciate their changing menu, seasonal selections, and overall approach to food. You can see and taste how much care and thought is put into the food and atmosphere… Shoutout to Tyler for always being so welcoming!
This place was so good. The chocolate maple latte was probably the best latte I’ve ever had😭 The quiche was equally as good, very fresh and flavorful. They have two rooms with seating, a great place to sit down and relax.
The best coffee in Kingston, most likely the Hudson Valley! Their food is delicious as well and the vibes are just right. The "Little Village" is the perfect quiet place to work. Why (oh why oh why oh why!) isn't it open later? I would happily spend money here in the afternoon and evening, but I guess I'm in the minority. My desperate quest for a quiet coffee shop in the Hudson Valley will continue, quixotic though it might be.
By far the best coffee shop I’ve ever experienced! The espresso is delicious, and the optional added flavors are a great bonus. The pastries are phenomenal, and the indoor seating next door has the perfect vibe. The staff is consistently warm and welcoming, making every customer feel genuinely cared for. This place is truly a gem! I especially love that they showcase and sell ceramic artists’ work inside the shop ✨
Super great coffee here! Great selection of breakfast and lunch options. I got the soup and the special Vanilla Bay Latte. Super great atmosphere and reasonably priced for the quality of the food. It was around $20 for the two items I got (not including tip)- super satisfying soup. The latte was legit- super balanced and not too sweet either, and the latte art was a plus! The soup and coffee was exactly what I needed on a rainy day. Will def be coming back.
Amazing breakfast options. It was so hard to choose! We ended up getting a delicious ham and cheese croissant, and eggs on toast. Both were stunning. The coffee is also outstanding. Shout out to the barista for the lovely latte art on my flat white. Would definitely come here again to try everything else they serve. Coziest place ever!
Food was AH-MAZING!!!! The baked goods tasted so fresh and you could tell it was all homemade! Coffee was ok, nothing that really made me want to come back and get a latte. My mother ordered the maple latte and that was delicious! I ordered the caramel latte and it tasted very dark and bitter, that was very surprising. Cashier was super friendly and kind. The location had convenient store vibes, super cute.
I tried Olympus Tea (which is apparently the name of the flower. Delicious! A teenie bit peppery but herbal, so no caffeine, and full-bodied. Loved it). The brand is In Pursuit of Tea. I also had a baked apple bar, and a Brekkie. The bar was delicious and not overly sweet which I appreciated, The homemade pesto is unlike any pesto I’ve ever had. It didn’t taste like parsley, and I could even seen leaves that looked like sage. It was fantastic!!!! So was the Vault no 5 cheese and the Roth cheese on top. My one complaint is that the croissant was dripping with oil. Not sure why, but I couldn’t eat it. I took the fillings out and threw out the croissant. That much oil would have added a lot of calories and it was just soggy anyway. Other than that, everything was perfect. A truly unique place. I don’t know if there is a specific ethnic food being offered but brekkie is, as I understand it, Australian. Parking is on the street and there is indoor and outdoor seating with a real communal feel. Lovely walk ways nearby too!
This place was such a gem. Our group came for breakfast during our weekend trip in Kingston. The hot drinks came in unique beautiful mugs and the food was delicious, with a lot of vegetarian options. I got a brekkie sandwich - the bacon was a little tough, but taste was good. One side of the cafe is mainly for ordering and then there is another side with seating - one long table that could seat a big group and a couple other small tables.
Village Coffee and Goods was a huge surprise. The food was absolutely amazing. There is a good variety of food options. Everything has been created to be something more than just regular food items. Coffee was very good. I got a latte and wish the coffee was hotter. It was not very hot, but the flavor was good. There are only eight high-top chairs inside along the windows. There is exta setting outside as well. This is a come again Coffee shop.
Delicious food 😍 both things we ordered were delicious and healthy, and with a different touch than usual. The coffee was very good, I got a mocha and loved it. I also really like that they give you real mugs and plates if you stay in, being more eco-friendly than many coffee shops, even the straws were paper based as well as having real cutlery. I highly recommend it
We have visited a few times. The drip coffee and simple coffee drinks (latte, etc) are solid choices. Beyond exceptional when it comes to the “plain” drinks. However the chai was the absolute worst we have ever tasted in our lives. We never drink sweet drinks and prefer natural tasting chai but this tasted like pure cardamom and wretched tasting coffee. The place is also extremely crowded with overpriced goods (pottery, cheese, etc) as well. We will stop in again but stick to what we know is good.
So much quality in every single thing they offer. To me, it’s worth the price because you can feel the integrity in every ingredient. The service, however, is unreliable. I’ve ordered “the hottie” 3 times, and twice it didn’t have any hot sauce. It’s literally named after the hot sauce. Also got a croissant with grass fed butter and jam- had no butter. So far, in my experience, more orders are wrong than right. If I’m going to pay this much I expect perfection. Bring the uncompromising quality to your staff and deliverables too.
Was in the Kingston area for the weekend and visited Village Coffee and Goods yesterday (Sat, 2/21). We were excited to visit the cafe but the lady that was working the register around noon was not friendly at all and made the whole experience very weird. Maybe she was having a bad day but as someone who has worked a cafe job before it's your job to make people feel welcome in the space. The ginger molasses cookie was good and the chai tea was okay but I wouldn't go back because of the customer service. There are MANY other cafes in the Kingston area that have friendly staff.
Way too expensive. My sausage and egg sandwich on a croissant was $17.20 which was fine. My wife got the frittata of the day and she complained that it was too dry and flavorless. The latte was decent. I'm a Kingston native so I don't appreciate paying NYC prices for a small local business. I will never go there again as breakfast was over $50 for 2 people.
