Good place for a company lunch….they get you in and out with swift service and LOTS of delicious food….gosh the rolls are so good and good flavor fresh you can taste and good price…..place is quite enough to talk shop and still enjoy comfortably…..just look at the colors and the size and the presentation….low key its an under ground gem…..great job!!!
The best Shrimp 🍤 dynamite dish Ever... chan han fried rice is super delicious as well. We've been going here for years. The sushi is always fresh and tasty.
We've been coming to Edoko for 3+ years, now. Daughter and I tried it after eating at the ramen place next door. I still find their traditional Japanese plates lacking, but their sushi/rolls/sashimi always please. It's now routine for us to eat here for birthdays and celebrations. We came for lunch today (more on why later) and as usual, wife ordered a couple of pieces of everything. The fish is always super fresh (as can be this far from any ocean) and creamy. We ate at lunch today because Edoko was closed, for Thanksgiving. But someone in management forgot tot ell online reservations this, so we DID have a reservation for Thanksgiving... so, whomever dropped that ball, we were a little miffed to drop by only to find you CLOSED. A full meal for three, involving plenty of a la carte sushi was $250 with no drinks. Pretty normal for us. Special thanks for the gift of bluefin, from the chef. Appreciated, sir. Our server, Sonya, was an utter delight, and had such amazing nails!!
I've been here so many times, the food is always reliable and tasty. Good quality and service is fast. There is always enough staff and it never feels like a struggle to find an employee. The drinks are really good as well, never mind the HH menu is excellent, with fair choices at good prices. This is one of my favorite places to go for a relaxing dinner with friends.
It was one of those nights where my anxiety was getting the best of me and I didn’t want to be alone so I walked in 30 minutes before closing and asked if it was okay to still have a meal, the hostess looked at each other and just nodded. I sat at the bar and I was greeted by I think his name was Sergio (im sorry if I remember wrong) he was super nice and helpful while I decided which wine I wanted for the night, not only that he assured me that it was okay for me to order a full meal since I was just going to order appetizers and to take my time eating. I gotta said maybe it was my crappy day but this was so much needed and so worth it! Wine 🍷 was delicious I had a random pick and it was delicious 🤤 Tofu- So freaking good! Get the trio hot sauce that I was given because that just compliments the dish ✨ Udon- the noodles were a bit too chewy for my liking but overall good flavor. The tempura 🍤 is pretty good. Cucumber salad was refreshing and light I will definitely be back for the tofu 💕
One of the best sushi places I've been to! The drinks were good, I ordered the lychee rose and it was delicious. We got the garlic spicy edemame (great!), smokey cowboy roll, and the edoko fire roll (both good), and for dessert tempura fried ice cream and creme brulee (which was my favorite part!). Service was good, and the atmosphere was warm and classic.
We had THE most polite waiter here. I wish I got his name to give him credit. Had glasses and looked to be around 20. We were very impressed with his professionalism and service. The food was so good. I especially loved the butterfly roll. It was low carb and kept me feeling full! Parking in this area is very difficult. If you have a reservation I’d definitely show up 15 min early just to drive around to make sure you can find a place to park.
I had the miso sea bass and it was delicious. Definitely one of the best dishes I've had n a couple of years. My wife had a steak and mushrooms and that was also fantastic. I now have to come every week to try everything. This is awesome food. When you compare prices against other places, it's really not that expensive and it's the best for in town.
Destiny was my first point of contact at this restaurant. With it being my first time coming here and ordering for my dear friend in Christ after her labor and delivery. Destiny was very helpful and polite helping me order based on my friends request!! Thank you Destiny for your amazing customer service!
The sushi was fresh and so tasty!! My husband's fried rice lacked seasoning but was cooked well. The tempura ice cream was such a treat! I would come back here.
Bf and I wandered in for a date night after a night market in the area. We’re regulars at places like this near Frisco, so I’d say we have a pretty good grasp on the food we got. I’d like to start by saying this is some of my favorite gyoza I’ve ever had, including when I visited Japan. This is a must get. The sauce was delightful, the outside was perfect with a crunchy bottom and soft top, and the filling was delicious. Well worth $7. My bf got some calamari ring tempura, which was fine but we got a small portion compared to when we usually get calamari. There was only like 3 big rings and 2 small on the plate. I also got a Gyu sushi to try. Was it worth $4.50? Maybe, maybe not but I enjoyed it and it was a much higher quality than the beef sushi at say Kura. Now my Beef Yakisoba was questionable honestly. Smaller portion than I’m used to, the beef tasted awkwardly like hamburg and was chewy, and the sauce it was stir fried in was really sweet and thick, almost like honey. Someone might like it but for $18 it wasn’t what I expected and wasn’t to my tastes Bf got a Charashi bowl for $25 and stated it was mid as expected for the price. I think we would return, but IMO our food was a mixed bag.
The sushi was very good, service was excellent, atmosphere is nice, appreciated how much they were spacing groups from each other, and got to enjoy some nice conversation with one of the sushi chefs. We tried the French kiss roll, tuna tower, the green hulk, and the shrimp dynamite roll. All were good. Hubby really enjoyed The French kiss roll. I enjoyed the green hulk. All of the seafood seemed very fresh. The shrimp in the shrimp dynamite were delicious but it was smothered in a sweet, mayo sauce (too much).
Service was absolutely awful and that’s primarily on the management (who was nowhere in sight). The poor staff was short staffed, with a packed house and only. The hostess was also seating people too quickly, causing an overload of customers in a short time span. Spent an hour and 40 minutes there and only saw our waitress/bartender 2 times and she was rude. We received more help from the other waitresses who were much more friendly. Management should have stepped up and come in to assist.
This was the worst experience I’ve had in a while. Do not try anything that’s not sushi. My husband ordered the risotto. He is lactose intolerant and the waitress told him the risotto was made with heavy cream. No risotto is ever made with heavy cream, so that’s the first red flag. Whatever they make is not risotto. My husband explained that he’s lactose intolerant and the waitress said they could cook the rice with butter. They literally brought him a pasty ball of rice with a container with melted butter on the side. The rice was overcooked. Absolutely disgusting. The worst rice we’ve ever had in our entire life. Whoever is cooking, has no clue. The waitress came to ask how the rice was and my husband let her know that the rice was overcooked and it had nothing to do with an actual risotto. She did not even to take the plate or bring anything else. She said, thanks for letting us know, I’ve left the chef know so it doesn’t happen again (¿?). You’d think they would remove that atrocity from the bill… but not, we were charged $24 for a ball of overcooked, pasty rice with a side of melted butter, which they called risotto. I have never felt this insulted. We will not be coming back. Also, something that wouldn’t had bothered me had they not treated us like morons, the restaurant itself has a funky smell and the booths are all teared. Should probably invest on repairing them.
This has to be one of the most upsetting changes that has happened. My favorite and only roll that brought me into this store was the shrimp dynamite roll. In the past, there would be Jumbo shrimp on the roll; however, in recent changes that has came to an end. This should not be advertised as jumbo as there is nothing jumbo about it. I am very disappointed and will not be returning back unless this is reverted.
