You’re not leaving this place hungry! The portion sizes are crazy big. The menu has a large variety of options to choose from, it was almost too hard to make a decision! Everything we ordered tasted great.

Shady’s is a great local neighborhood spot! We got the tailgater and it was so so good! Highly recommend! The service was great and the vibes were high. We sat on the patio with our pup and had a great experience here!

The food was very very good for the price point. Solid delivery on the Tailgater burger. It was cooked to perfection and very delicious but nothing fancy (not a problem at all though!). However, the shining star was the cheese fries!! The fries underneath the cheese were perfectly crispy!!! This is a difficult feat to achieve and I have had some of the best cheese fries on this planet (unfortunately, before I started reviewing restaurants lol). I didn’t go all the way with bacon and jalapeños this time but I don’t think it mattered. Hands down some of the best cheese fries ever! I will be going back soon to try some more of the menu. The service was excellent! The woman I had was very nice, pleasant and accommodating. The atmosphere is laid back (as a good burger joint SHOULD be. There are TVs at the bar area which did host some repeat locals from the looks of it. I highly recommend checking this place out!

I consider Shadys burgers to be one of the best burger spots in the Dallas area. The reason being that they combine great food, along with fantastic service, and an amazing atmosphere. One of my absolute favorite traits is that the burgers are not dripping with grease! It’s has some of course. But the bottom bun is very dry, giving the burger a very clean feel. Secondly, their service is top notch. Even when the place gets busy, the servers are constantly checking in. The food always comes out fast and our orders have always been accurate. For reference I’ve been going here 3-4 times per month for 2+ years! Lastly, their patio is one of my favorites in Richardson and Dallas as a whole. They can keep it cool, warm it up, or mitigate the wind. Even on a hot day it is usually enjoyable. But if it is not, they have the a/c pumping inside and will set up giant fans if need be. It’s also really nice not being near a major street. Many great patios around town are ruined by a nearby highway or busy street. This patio feels much more secluded. Their vast selection of entrees, appetizers, and beers keeps me coming back to try something new. Every time I try a new plate I’m always glad I did! They also have great lunch specials. Lastly, it has the advantage of being in Canyon Creek Village which has a ton of great places to go. After Shady’s we often get dessert at Sweet Firefly and/or play in the small park in the center of the area. I can’t recommend this place enough!

The burger, tater tots and onion rings were delicious! The drinks were also really good. We didn't have to wait for a seat when we arrived. There were lots of seats open on a Saturday night. We waited a while for our server to finally come over. Kiley was super slow getting our drinks and refills. We were chatting with our party and we were just hanging out, eating and having drinks, enjoying our time. She kept bringing out check, even though we were still drinking and talking. We never even got waters. We just paid the check because it was clear she was done helping us. After that she sat down at another table to hang out with other employees. We were still talking with our party when a completely different worker asked us if we wanted water since we nothing left to drink. It was pretty ridiculous, especially since she was sitting nearby! I do realize this may not happen all the time, but it's completely off-putting! It's not like we were taking up a table and there was a wait. It was super easy money! She could've just kept the drinks flowing and she would've made way more money and I would've given a much better review!

We tried a burger and chicken tenders with onion rings. It was all good and the onion rings are huge! I forgot to take pictures, it was late and we were hungry. Our server was nice but he kept forgetting some bbq sauce my son wanted for the chicken but not a big deal. First time eating here for me. It wasn't my favorite burger but I would eat there again.

Decided to get a burger today and found this spot. Idk if this is the norm, but you seat yourself. The staff seemed friendly and we're all smiles. My waiteress was polite and did check on me a few times. Food: 1/2 order of cheese fries. Can I say l like they used shredded cheese instead of cheese sauce as the fries were not soggy and I could take my time eating them. It was served with ranch, but I'm more of a sour cream girl. The Tailgater burger. Really nice bun and burger combo. You need two hands to eat and napkins. I'd be nice if it was served w the secret sauce as the bun absorbed it all. I added an egg to mine which was cooked right! Drink: Ruby Mule. Now I'm not a heavy drinker, but it was light on the alcohol content and I'd rather have stuck with just drinking water or ordered a soda. As this is my 1st time here, idk if was random or if that's the standard. Ambiance: It's sorta an indoor out door place. Really appreciated that they had fans and water misters. Even tho it was 101, if felt warm with a lovely breeze. I did not sweat if feel uncomfortable even though I was in the outdoor seating. There's a good sized tree too that provides shade. Overall would def come back for a burger, hold the drinks.

Took the family to Shady's tonight. Not the first time and not the last time, but possibly the first time that I have reviewed the experience...and tonight I am compelled because of our server (more on that later). This is a good review. Our most recent visit was on a Monday night at about 6pm. As expected, the restaurant was fairly busy, but not so much so that we couldn't just walk in and grab an outdoor shaded table with views of the Olympics and MLB on TV. The atmosphere was just as you would expect...welcoming and warm and clean. The drinks, starters, and burgers were as dependable and tasty as usual. The big deal tonight was our server. First of all, he was about 7 feet in height. We very quickly moved past that because he was right on top of server duties. To be quick - he brought us waters, took our drink order, came back and took care of starters and dinner orders. He was extra attentive without being weird or intrusive. Totally great in accommodating a couple of special orderings on our part. However, the icing on the cake, was that late in the meal, we ordered an extra meal for my Celiac daughter who was joining toward the end of our dinner experience. We ordered a burger on a gluten free bun and fries...he was very quick to let us know that the fries would be cooked in a fryer that did not discriminate between gluten and gluten free. He went so far as to let us know that the fries could be a concern for people with Celiac. He might be the very first server, at any restaurant around the country, that we have encountered in the past twelve years who connected gluten free with Celiac! He was very considerate and even presented the to go meal in separate bags so as to not cross contaminate the gluten free burger with the fries. I can't say enough how about how appreciative we were to have a knowledgeable, thoughtful, and generous server. Go check out Shady's if you are in Canyon Creek.

Food was good and service was good. We had the blue cheese burger; fish tacos and chicken kids meal. The chicken was good, but not really kid friendly—it was large fried tenders. The burger and the tacos were good; the tortillas weren’t the best. It’s so easy to get good tortillas here that it was disappointing they weren’t better. The chocolate shake was a hit. The birthday cake shake was good. Loved the patio. They have a beautiful large tree shading the patio. It was so nice to be outside in the shade. The one downside is that the server didn’t tell us there was an extra charge for extra blue cheese. Felt like she should mention that. It’s a nice thing to tell someone up front. The tater tots were fried perfectly and the burger bun was so good. The salsa was excellent.

We had an amazing 😍 lunch here today. Fish and chips to die for. The batter was so good. I've only had better in England. Fish 🐠 was flakey and delicious. Jalapeno tartar sauce was absolutely incredible. Chicken tenders were moist and flavorful. Not dry at all. Onion rings had a great batter and definitely you should try them. Chicken tacos were good enough my friend picked up every single piece from her tray and ate it so as to not go to waste. Chicken wings were ok. Fries weren't the best but good. Burgers were delicious. We ordered rare and medium rare but got medium at best, so that was not awesome. I had the New pig on the block which includes pulled pork. Some of the pork was dry and crunchy which was lame but the rest was really good. Overall, really good experience and would not hesitate to eat here again.

Shady's is such a great burger spot and I've loved every burger I've tried there. Not the biggest fan of their fries, but that's just me. Don't trust my taste if your favorite fries aren't Mickey D's…

Is it just me thought this place is just not the one?? I was super excited to try this place with my coworkers and the taste was just meh. Felt like it’s an imitation of KatyTrail Ice House but just not as good. Server seemed nice but did not get much of an interaction with them at all. I got holly guacamole set with sweet potato fries— sp fries was okay but the burger was like.. I couldn’t taste anything… swiss cheese felt like a rubber, i asked for medium rare for the meat and it came super rare that I felt weird continue eating it. the guacamole was good tho i love avocado so that might be why.. chip and queso- chip was hard and greasy, cheese fries was just full of oil and soggy. so, pretty much I only just ate guacamole and the part of bun that’s it. I ate like quarter and didn’t even bother getting a togo box for the leftover. Maybe it was a bad day to visit, maybe something was different that day, but I don’t think i would go back again… such a shame :(

I ordered two burgers along with cheesy fries topped with bacon and placed the order online for pickup. The pickup process itself was straightforward, but the interaction at the counter was noticeably unfriendly. The staff member asked me to sign the receipt and handed over the food without any greeting or acknowledgment. While the transaction was completed, the lack of basic hospitality stood out. As I was leaving, I nearly fell due to a pothole in the parking lot, twisting my ankle in the process. This is a safety issue that should be addressed by management. As for the food, the burgers were average adequate but unremarkable, earning about a 5/10 for flavor. Unfortunately, the cheesy fries with bacon were disappointing, coming in at a 2/10 due to poor taste and execution. The interior of the restaurant has a decent look and atmosphere, but given the combination of mediocre food and subpar service, this is not a place I would recommend at this time.
