Omg. I came here just to sit down, hopefully do some homework if there was a charging port. I called and asked ahead and they said they could accommodate. I came in and they were so nice! Greeted me with a smile, sat me down, helped me get situated. And the food was amazing for an amazing price! I’m always hesitant to try new sushi places, but this one is definitely a favorite now.
The best peanut butter crab stuffed fried jalapeños in the Richmond bubble! Amongst everything else there that is great!
This establishment has a happy hour menu which i just used this saturday to great advantage. The staff are very friendly. The sushi is actually pretty good. i was famished, so i got a bunch of stuff like 4 sake/4otoro and a tuna roll off of the happy hour menu. this is a convenient location for me and the happy hour prices are great.
OMG! How did I not know about this place sooner? Amazing ambience, lighting fast and attentive service, beautiful and sumptuous cuts of fish at the right temperature (this is important and they hit it exactly), umami filled sushi rice (this one is important too). All that at a bill that is rare to see these days at any decent restaurant, let alone at a nice sushi place. This promises to become my regular sushi place. Not a single thing wrong here. Go try for yourself.
Whenever we are in this area, we make it a point to stop by for sushi. The sushi rolls are generously sized and reasonably priced considering the ample amount of food provided. Today, I discovered that they offer lunch specials on Saturdays, which was a pleasant surprise. I ordered a bento box off of the lunch menu. You could choose three different items to be included in addition to soup, salad, and rice. It was plentiful to say the least, I wasn’t able to finish it! Our server was exceptionally friendly and went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met. Notably, my niece was wearing a birthday button in anticipation of her upcoming celebration, and the server kindly sent over a complimentary ice cream with fried bananas. Furthermore, the restaurant played a happy birthday song over the speaker system while we sang along. The shopping center location provides the restaurant with an abundance of parking. The restaurant’s interior is spacious, equipped with TVs, a bar, and a private dinning area.
This place is probably the best location in the Rosenberg/Richmond area and over some Sugarland places. The rolls were all delicious, made well, and well put together. The large rolls you see was the Minecraft Roll and it is cooked. The others were the Philadelphia Roll and Dr. Tape Roll. All rolls were great and I'm typically not a Philadelphia Roll fan. We also got the clear and miso soup which were below average and they came out luke warm. But that is a minor issue, I care more that the rolls came out done well. And for appetizer we got the Takoyaki and that never disappoints.
Delicious, creative sushi! The clear soup was tasty, the service was attentive (our drinks were always refilled), and most importantly, the sushi was fresh and delicious! As you can see the presentation was well done. The atmosphere of the restaurant was modern and pleasant. We enjoyed ourselves and were quite surprised at the beautiful restaurant hidden in the strip mall! We also appreciated the staff welcoming us and saying goodbye as we departed! Lots of fun!
I went there at the happy hour and had sake bombs for 5$. The place has WI fi available to the customers. The whole staff was very attentive. All the rolls were on point. I personally had anniversary, it had a BBQ flavor to it and a crunchy texture, definitely one of the best ones I ever had.
Tried Ninja Japanese Cuisine in Richmond and had a great experience overall. The spot has a relaxed, casual vibe—perfect for a chill sushi night with friends or family. The menu has tons of options, especially if you’re into specialty rolls. We ordered a few of their specialty sushi rolls, and the Fireman Roll was definitely the highlight. It comes wrapped in foil and is literally lit on fire at the table, which is such a fun presentation. Beyond the theatrics, the roll itself was flavorful, fresh, and well-balanced. We also tried the ceviche, which was surprisingly refreshing and well-seasoned — a nice lighter option alongside the sushi. Everything tasted fresh, and the portions were satisfying. Overall, Ninja Japanese Cuisine is a solid spot if you’re craving sushi with some fun, interactive presentation and good flavors. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the Richmond area. Would recommend for sushi lovers looking for something a little different.
In honor of Eid, I wanted to share my final iftaar. During Ramadan, we fast from sunrise to sunset, without even drinking water. Naturally, this warrants giant meals every day at 8pm. My sister and I had been craving sushi, and also envisioned a world in which we never ran out of it. So we got this humongous party platter intended for 4-6 people probably, complete with an ice cream scoop sized hunk of wasabi in the center. Btw have you ever had fried chicken sushi? We hadn't either... until this platter. It was a great gateway tool to introduce our parents to the world of rice-enveloped fish. Go out and support local businesses! So many are open and eager for take-our orders!
Ninja Japanese Cuisine is a good restaurant. The facility is clean and the service is okay. We unfortunately had to wait quite some time for our server to collect our order and they also confused our order with the people next to us, but the food is GOOD! The sushi is fresh and filling. I would come back again if I am in the area. I would recommend this place to my friends.
The food is great. Hibachi combination rice, salad and rolls were great. Warning, Hungry roll is super filling (hence the name), sweet and spicy. The service was great but I felt rushed. We weren't done with our food and gave us our check super fast and kept asking if we wanted a box. Probably a great place to order for takeout and enjoy in the comfort of your home. Overall, best sushi in the area.
Came to this place after hanging out at a brew pub nearby after amazing reviews from friends there. We started with shrimp and veggie tempura and it was great. Tried 4 different rolls - rainbow something, Louisiana roll, playboy roll, and Texas roll. I’m a spice lover so the Texas roll was my favorite. My husband liked the Louisiana roll. Had smoked salmon sashimi as well. Everything was fresh but service was a little curt. My son had the kids chicken nuggets - we were pretty impressed with the fresh fruit and edamame.
The sushi is overall pretty good (maybe a little too heavy on the rice), but I was really disappointed in the sweet potato roll. I should have known there'd he trouble when I asked if it was on the menu, and they said "no but we can make it". At least 5 minutes of back and forth between host and chef ensued in their language with only "SWEET POTATO" coming through every few words. I ordered 3 of these rolls because my kids love them, but the sweet potato came out crunchy and somewhat raw, rather than soft and crispy. Very disappointing.
Service was great here from entry to exit! The fried rice was heavy on the sesame for me. Rolls: These are the LARGEST rolls i have ever had in my life! Now, that could be good or bad depending on the person. But I usually look to sushi and rolls to keep on the lighter side and small bites. I think these rolls can be split between 2 or 3 people lol 😆. Same money, order 1 roll, and share with your family of 3 or more lol. Seriously, the rolls here are hefty and I actually don't prefer that. The taste was just ok to me as well. Everything seemed heavy on sesame, even if sesame wasn't supposed to be there. My husband on the other hand really snored the larger rolls and the heavy sesame in the shrimp fried rice. I would rate this a 3.1 ⭐️
Tempura batter too thick and hard, just started to eat when waitress wanted to know if we needed boxes, could turn the a/c down a bit, snow crab appetizer was very good, sushi good, learn to not bring everything to the table at once.
