Had the bun bo hue. They were nice enough to swap out the tradition bun bo hue noodles and put pho noodles in my soup for me. Brother was so flavorful and they put a generous portion of meat. My kids had the pho which they gobbled up. My wife had bun thit nuong cha gio which she was was very good. Prices were very reasonable and the restaurant was clean. We will be back. I wish they sold tshirts.
Great fast casual place. Got the pork rolls appetizer, pho dac biet and signature bo ne. Plenty of food for two people and a baby. Food was very flavorful - wish it had been hotter (pho broth should be very hot and bo ne was only sizzling for maybe a few minutes). Pho broth is very star anise and spice forward. Bo ne comes with pate, butter, side salad, two over easy eggs and baguette. Staff was excellent - accommodated us with a baby and checked in on us several times (water refills etc). Would recommend coming back and getting both dishes.
I came here with my partner the other day and we both agreed that this place was amazing !! The food was delicious, the customer service was excellent and the prices were great !! We will be coming back again !!
It was my first time and I showed up to the place about 20 minutes or so before closing time. The food was flavorful and the broth was so refreshing and warm in this weather. The shrimp and veggie fried rolls were so good with the sauce that I could eat two servings of those. It is a family run business and the staff is very caring and welcoming. Will definitely recommend this place!
This place is AWESOME! Short walking distance from the Water's Edge and Water Side Communities and who doesn't love PHO?!? This community is booming with several new businesses opening up every month! The menu is so appetizing you're not going to be completely satisfied until you try everything on the menu at, least once, before deciding on a favorite!
Friday, January 2023 @ 7pm Family oriented restaurant. That's the vibe they encourage. It's quaint but spacious enough. The food was savory. We had Pho, combination fried rice, egg rolls, and popcorn chicken and fries with drinks. I had Thai tea & it was DEVINE! I need to go back just to check if it's going to be consistently delicious. This is a great pick for dinner. Service was quick and attentive. I would like to mention that shortly after eating here, I found myself on the Royal throne. Maybe it was their food or not. I can say I enjoyed it going in.
Very delicious food! We got the skirt flank Pho and the brisket pho and the chicken dumplings and they both tasted amazing. It was my first time trying Pho and I well definitely be back again. I'm looking forward to them putting more food on the menu to try. 😀 It's family owned and we spoke to the son managing this location and he was so welcoming and really cool to talk to. Definitely recommend! 5 stars all the way! Came again on Dec. 4th and tried the dry pho noodle. Omgoodness. This is my absoutely new favorite dish! It was so delicious! Highly recommend it! Place was clean and staff was friendly once again. Our new favorite spot to walk over to.
Pho Bo to Grill is a great spot for pho lovers. The veg pho was excellent — full of flavor, comforting, and easily a 5/5. The chicken pho was also very good, with a rich broth and tender chicken. The restaurant has a good semi-traditional interior that adds to the overall dining experience without feeling overdone. The ambiance is calm and welcoming, making it a nice place for a relaxed meal. The service is good but it could have better, more Informative and attentive. Overall, it’s definitely worth visiting for quality pho and a pleasant atmosphere.
I got the grilled chicken rice bowl and my partner got the large beef pho. I also ordered a basket of fries. The food was so soo good I was barely able to take any photos. I would reorder the fries and rice platter again and the pho was hearty and filling!
i love this mom & pop shop; been going here after my muay thai practice with my homies for a while and they extended their hours since we been coming here; always a good time here. Their dry bo kho noodles are the best!
Been dining here for over a year and the staff is always so friendly and sweet. Their food is so good it's always great every-time I eat here. I always eat with my father, we always enjoy coming here! The atmosphere is so nice, it's very heartwarming for me.
This is some really great Vietnamese food in the Richmond area. Not just Pho and Bánh mì, but rice dishes, skillet beef and egg, etc... The đặc biệt even has a beef rib in it. If you are into Vietnamese food this is a must stop. The staff is also very friendly, and for those interested in Vietnam they will tell you about some of the cities and the differences. We had a couple of picky eaters in our group and they enjoyed their meals as well.
One of the best in this area. Serves tasty food and the service is very friendly. The Beef Stew Pho, the Grilled Pork Ban and the Grilled Pork Rice plates were all fantastic. They also have the Vietnamese coffee and Thai tea. Will be back.
I'm surprised! I was in the area and had a craving for Pho. I stopped in and then saw Bun Bo Hue on the menu! I instantly ordered it and wow! The broth was rich, thick vermicelli noodles, and meats brought back a lot of childhood memories! As you can see in my one pics, I ate and drank everything! I will be back for the beef rib!
Pho Bo to Grill offers an outstanding take on traditional Vietnamese cuisine, and their Short Rib Pho is a standout dish! The broth is rich, deeply flavorful, and simmered to perfection, capturing all the essence of authentic pho. The tender, fall-off-the-bone short rib adds a luxurious touch to the dish, making each bite satisfying and full of flavor. Fresh herbs, and rice noodles complete this hearty bowl of comfort. The restaurant's warm ambiance and friendly service further elevate the experience. If you're a pho lover, Pho Bo to Grill is a must-visit for an unforgettable meal! Will be coming back to try other items on the menu 😁
When this place first opened up, my sister and her daughter tried it and said it was underwhelming. A couple of months later one of the kids I nannied for wanted to order here to-go and I decided to place an order as well to form my own opinions. Typically, pho to-go is not a great experience as the soup is nearly cold by the time you get home and places don’t par-boil the noodles. Overall, it’s not as fresh as it would be having it in the restaurant. Well at pho bo to, in all my experiences thus far, their pho to-go is as good as it is in-store. I was amazed by the quality of the meat and noodles. The broth is perfect! My family and I’s go to for pho is usually pho saigon but I honestly think their broth is too sweet. Pho bo to has a great balance between the spices, saltiness, and sweetness. Ever since I ordered to-go that one time, I’ve gone back more times than I can count and even took my boyfriend there for his first ever pho experience. He was very pleased and he’s usually a picky eater when it comes to cuisine he’s unfamiliar with. I saw some bad reviews about to-go orders and how their food was cold. If you order pho to-go, the noodles and meat come cold because the broth is supposed to be hot enough (I heat mine in the microwave if it needs to be hotter) that it warms the noodles and meat up. I think it’s unfair to leave bad reviews for places whose cuisine is obviously a different culture from theirs. It’s important to educate yourself before you fully form an opinion. After venturing through their menu here’s some of my recommendations & thoughts: -Classic Pho & Pho w/ Short Rib: Again, broth is amazing, and the small portions are filling enough with an appetizer. Great value for the quality! -Shrimp & Pork Crispy Egg Rolls: Great flavor, you can see small pieces of the shrimp that adds great texture, always crispy and fresh -Thai Tea: It’s very rare to find good/authentic tasting thai tea in this area. Other places around it like Kung Fu or Kravin use the powdered stuff that taste like chemicals. Pho Bo To’s thai tea is so good, and very close tasting to places in chinatown! -Shaking Beef: I like the flavor of both the beef and the fried rice but I don’t think it’s worth the price for how much meat you get. -Shrimp Fried Rice: Not something I’d go for every single visit but it’s good enough that I’ll order it when I am craving fried rice. The rice is just a little dry/hard (can be cooked longer) and the portion could be more for the price. -Pork Fresh Spring Roll: Just okay, if you’re craving it I think it would satisfy your craving. It could have a lot more filling and be more densely packed. The sauce it comes with is very good! -Shrimp Eggrolls: Good to try but nothing to write home about. It’s just a shrimp covered in eggroll wrapper so not too flavorful compared to the shrimp and pork eggrolls. -Bun Bo Hue: This was my first time ever trying bun bo hue, and I don’t think it’s for me personally. I’ve seen other reviews talking about how good it is so if the flavor is for you then I think you’d like it! It’s not a beefy broth like pho but it’s more of a pork broth that I just personally don’t like the flavor of.
During my first visit to this restaurant, I ordered the Grilled Pork Summer Roll and the Classic Pho with four meat toppings. Both dishes were quite delicious, and the portions were generous. The servers were attentive, offering multiple check-ups and drink refills. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.
We love the food here. The service was amazing. their ice coffee is really good and also their tea
Love the sandwiches! I just recently tried the strawberry banana with tapioca smoothie it was great! Not too sweet, just perfect. The restaurant is always so clean and the workers are welcoming and friendly.

My partner and I went after lunch hours: The food quality itself is worth the trip to try and enjoy. I am vegetarian and it is hard to find things that aren't potatos or salad (people always assume the only thing vegetarians eat is lettuce). But their options here have variety. The food also leaves you with a satisfying feeling and an amazing after taste. I am very big about eating food that tastes good And leave you feeling good. This place does it perfectly. I enjoyed the pho chay they had, lots of aromas and flavors that mixed well together. A place definitely meant to go more than once! Thank you to those who work there because it is absolutely amazing!
Absolutely love Pho Bo To Grill! The pho is rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The brisket was tender, and the noodles were cooked just right. Staff is super friendly and welcoming. Can’t wait to come back!
I ate here for the first time last night, and Diana was my server. She was so attentive, gave great menu suggestions, and was overall so lovely and pleasant. The food was delicious, hot, and arrived quickly. The restaurant was clean and has late hours, which is a really great option for those of us who work late. The service again was outstanding!

Updated review: Changed from 1 star to 4 stars. The restaurant was very responsive to this review and I truly appreciate the offer of full refund and further discounts to make things right. I understand a business has to make money and things happen sometimes. I most likely won't collect on the offer on the refund but just hope the quality of the food will be improved. Original review: Just bought 5 lbs of crawfish to go since i saw the sign saying crawfish available today for 10 dollars a lb. I asked twice if it's live and didn't get an answer but it's during crawfish season and i got it for 8.99 for live ones at another restaurant last week so i figured they should be live since it's more expensive at this one. When we got home to eat, the crawfishs were definitely precooked frozen and not live ones. Our family each ate a couple hoping they were just a few bad ones but the we all just stopped after about 3 each and tossed the rest. One of us almost threw up from the poor quality of the crawfish. Even for frozen standard, they were the low quality ones. Been to this restaurant a few times before but definitely NOT coming back. Felt like I've been scammed, but to be fair the lady never answered my question about it being live or not.
I recently dined at Pho Bo To Grill, a restaurant conveniently located close to my home. My visit left me with mixed feelings about the place. I had high hopes when I ordered the Bun Bo Hue, but unfortunately, it turned out to be rather bland. The flavors I was expecting seemed to be missing, and I was left somewhat disappointed. However, the dry Pho I tried on a previous occasion was a different story. It was a delightful surprise - the flavors were rich and the dish was packed with delicious ingredients. The dry Pho is definitely a standout item on their menu. Despite the mixed experience, Pho Bo To Grill has a convenient location, friendly staff, and a menu with potential. If you decide to visit, I recommend giving their dry Pho a try, as it's a real highlight. Overall, my experience at Pho Bo To Grill was a bit of a rollercoaster, but I'm willing to give them another shot for the dry Pho alone.
Good variety of pho to satisfy those pho cravings! They offer traditional pho noodles that a lot of places do not. Service was quick, everyone was polit. Definitely worth a try!

I will admit that I almost walked out of this place because it smelled funny & the booth they seated us at had lots of dust in the edge of the seat. However, I was sick & really needed that pho. We ended up ordering oxtail pho, combination pho, & chicken vermicelli. All these were delicious & I would certainly rate this as one of the better phos I have had. All in all the food choices were great! If you live in the area, do not hesitate to try.

Ox tail pho was decent. Very little pho, and ox tail wasn't soft but rather chewy. Like a over done steak. Broth seemed like it was missing something, still tasty but missing more taste. Spring rolls were delicious. My kids regular pho bowl with brisket was good. Beef cubes are good. Overall good for the area. Would return to try their vietnamese sandwich.
Meh food. Not coming back. Ordered a pho soup. The flavor was not authentic and it tasted like it had a lot of preservatives. They do not add meat to the pho soup either. The customer service is alright only if you ask for help. Not a very clean place either. They will clean the tables and grab the chop sticks which are not packaged with their bared hands right after cleaning the tables. Here’s a picture of the bathroom a/c vent.
So I ordered the oxtail pho, taste it’s pretty good but only 3 small pieces of oxtail, was hoping for more
Such a disappointment coming to and unboxing my to go order… Pictures doesn’t depict the true amount. For $17 before tax, is this an appetizer or an entree? Was this a mistake? The portion looks like it’s for a child not a grown man. Absolutely ridiculous! BBH was really good but there was hardly any protein. With the little amount of meat, it was still sliced paper thin that it disintegrated into tiny pieces. Their winter melon tea with aloe vera and basil seed was delicious and the only item I was satisfied with. Based off the other reviews, it seems they purposely give you a lot less on to go orders.

Ordered around 8 pm on DoorDash on 2/26/26 and if they want to compete with HEM Noodle Bar they may want to step their game up. The buy 1 get 1 free special for the fried eggrolls was tempting so I gave in, however they weren't hot upon arrival and the meat inside had a weird texture. The fish sauce that accompanied them barely had any flavor which wasn't surprising considering it had no typical fish sauce smell at all, seemed watered down. I ordered a grilled chicken bahn mi and the chicken had an odd taste to it, in addition to that I paid extra for them to add pate and they forgot it. Probably won't order here again and will stick to Pho Saigon for pho and the new kid on the block, HEM Noodle Bar for everything else.
I am utterly infuriated and deeply dissatisfied with the service provided by the lady with the highlights who handled my order at Pho Bo To Grill today. As a loyal patron who has frequented this establishment more than 25 times in the past year, I have always been enamored by the exceptional service and delectable food. However, my recent experience has left me seething with anger. Despite being promised a 10% discount through their new rewards system, I was met with blatant disregard and deception when I arrived to pick up my order. The cashier, claiming to be the only one present, when I know she asked someone for help when I asked for cut vegetables over the phone. This blatant lie only compounded my frustration. Furthermore, when I attempted to address the discrepancy in my rewards points, the cashier's dismissive attitude made it abundantly clear that she could not care less about customer satisfaction. This level of apathy is unacceptable and completely tarnishes the reputation of the restaurant. The issue transcends the mere 10% discount; it is a matter of principle and respect for loyal customers. Additionally, to add insult to injury, the vegetables in my order were not even chopped as requested. I am deeply disappointed by the lack of professionalism and integrity displayed by their the lady with the highlights. I attached a picture of my ticket with her name on it.
Quality of food has gone down dramatically. Pho broth was not very flavorful and steak from bo ne' was very low quakity; half gristle and inedible.
Went for lunch with my son’s girlfriend. We were seated and it took like 10 minutes for them to come take our drink order. I ordered a matcha drink and it was really good. My son’s girlfriend ordered the chicken pho, I ordered pork and shrimp egg rolls and I ordered the beef vermicelli. The chicken pho was brought out quickly while we had to wait for the rest of the food to come out. The egg rolls and vermicelli was brought out around the same time. The chicken and beef was tough to chew. I would not come back again.

Wife ordered a tofu pho and while the broth was decent, the chef was STINGY. 3 pieces of slim tofu, 2 pieces of broccoli, and the carrot and daikon were frozen. It costs about $2 for a whole block of tofu, less at Chinatown. You’d think with such a markup they’d give a decent portion.
The combination pho was very bland, I tried to save it by adding hoisin sauce so many times with chili oil, sadly fish sauce bottle was no where to be found but still the broth was bland, lack of beef bone definitely when they cooked the broth. Moving on to the beef fried rice, oh my, it was again bland and tasteless, the beef was also hard. The beef sizzling plate, the meat was also hard, not tender, the liver paste has the porky smells. And the garlic butter chicken wings, pretty sure it wasn’t garlic but spice and sweet taste chicken wings. Huge disappointment and I thought this location would be better than the location on beltway 8.
The most flavorless fried rice I’ve ever had. Should call it cilantro rice it’s the only thing you can taste in it. The purple onion has virtually no flavor to it.
I haven't been there for awhile. My usual was beef stew and combination fried rice. Never got charged $0.75 FOR egg noodles before this time. Never got charged $0.50 for each to go order until this time. NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO TO PHO BO TO GRILL. Never again will I be nickled and dimed. Never let this happen to you. Go elsewhere.
Very disappointed with the service. My order was taken wrong, and instead of listening or trying to fix it, the staff showed a rude and unprofessional attitude. It’s unacceptable to treat customers this way, especially when they’re just trying to resolve a mistake. Management seriously needs to address staff behavior and improve customer service training! If you don't speak Vietnamese, I highly suggest you learn more or pass the phone to whom can speak and understand Vietnamese! A loud "SIGH" to the customer when asked to speak to the manager was totally RUDE!! Many pho places around my area, no need to spend my money at a place with a nasty attitude customer service!
Don’t bother! I ordered vegetarian pho - only noodles, one piece of broccoli, a slice of carrot.. Don’t waste ur money on noodles
First time coming into this establishment and was not greeted with a friendly welcome. My girlfriend and I sat ourselves and it took the server nearly 15 mins to come out and take our order. While ordering I asked the server can I get a taro smoothie to go once we finish and she acknowledged me as if she understood. 10 mins past and she comes out with my taro drink and my gfs lemonade and rushed away. Once she came back I asked her can she put my drink in the freezer since I asked for it to go and not right now. She gave me talk back and took it. She never brought out our waters. She was rude. Not to mention their “large” bowl of pho is other establishments small which is not worth $15! My beef bone barely had any meat on it also. I will not be returning here.
Food is low quality. Thought I'd give this place another try and picked up food to go. Spring rolls had brown lettuce. Vermicelli meat tasted old and heavily marinated, bad quality meat. Egg rolls soggy and food cold. Staff never smiles. Officially done and looking for a new Vietnamese restaurant.
