Wonderful gem of a restaurant. The staff and food were amazing. We had the penne pasta and gnocchi. Both were rich and flavourful. From the clientele it was easy to so it's a local favorite. I would have eaten there again during my visit if I'd had the time.

Always greeted with a friendly welcome. This time we had a takeaway - the pizza was delicious, generous with the toppings, which were very fresh. I asked for garlic mayonnaise and the team member that served me said he would make it - I was so surprised when he came back with a take away cup full of the most fragrant and fresh garlic sauce. Would definitely recommend!

Wonderful dinner with my sweetheart !Mustapha is a fantastic, friendly and funny waiter, together with his colleague Jaime. One of the best evenings we’ve had in London and its surroundings, coming from Parisian tourists. I highly recommend it. It was incredible. The food is fresh and absolutely delicious ;)

Visiting family in London - wanted to find somewhere close but not central. Omg I wish this place was closer to home. Great food, great service, very reasonable price. We loved it.

Great Italian doing a fantastic breakfast. Staff are lovely and friendly, very attentive and helpful. And the cost is brilliant given the location in London. An absolute must if you're in the area.

We stopped for a coffee here and saw someone else's pizza and knew we had to come back later in our stay so we came for dinner after a long day out in London. It was perfect. We had tricolore which I haven't had for ages so it was lovely. My husband and I both had pepperoni 🍕 as we live in France and can never find a good one. It was delicious. Service is friendly and patient with our French friends. It is obviously popular with the locals as we saw a couple of faces that had been there on the previous visit. I can understand the popularity.

A fabulous pizza. Served by the hard working, Musta. I mentioned that I waited a bit too long to be asked re dessert. His response was heart warming. Great food & great service. Thank you.

Rarely bother writing reviews, but myself and wife stopped here for a meal and it was such a great experience I wanted to add my +1 to all the other reviews on here. Services was fast, food excellent (very generous amounts of quality salmon with my linguine, for example) and setting was romantic and intimate. So refreshing to dine somewhere which exceeds expectations these days!

I’d be tempted to rate it zero so I can keep this brilliant place just to myself but I can’t. This is the best place in Richmond for a meal, be that a quick breakfast a lunch or a dinner. I always have gnocchi, it’s always perfect. A little tip order a side of bread, your tastebuds will thank you. The place is small and easily missed but absolutely worth looking out for.

13 of us had lunch here on Saturday, for a birthday. The food was excellent; perfect pasta, delicious pizzas and amazing salads. Staff were friendly and very accommodating. Surprised at such reasonable prices, too. A real gem in Richmond. Thoroughly recommend!

Excellent. Was here with my partner and we find this place. Excellent pizza and friendly service. Our waiter even tolerated my abysmal Spanish! The food was so good we booked in for dinner as well to try the pasta Not for us but we saw a party with an elderly relative come in after us and the staff immediately went to help with doors and even walked the lady to her seat. Highly recommend.

Popped in with my hungry family after a visit to Kew Gardnes Xmas lights on Sunday 21st December. Pizzas delicious. Cooked fresh and hot. Service lovely. A real treat. Lovely place. Fully recommended.

I was walking around Richmond looking for a place to eat and got a random recommendation from someone walking past who only had good things to say. The restaurant did not disappoint, the food was excellent and reasonably priced. The wine was lovely and our server, Sergio, was so friendly and helpful. A complimentary limenchello was also given with the bill. When we said we loved limenchello, Sergio came back with more! So lovely and kind. We left feeling full and very satisfied with the service.

Wonderful, cozy and friendly! We stopped here to see the Ted Lasso sights (yeah cheesy but glad we did) It was slow, but that provided the opportunity to chat with the staff a bit more. They were all great. My son said it's his favorite fettuccine alfredo. Everything else we had was great. If you are looking for something good and comfortable, this is the place!

The food was AMAZING! We started off with garlic bread, and then we order different pizza toppings. My favorite one was the half Hawaiian, half portofino (see image). Special shout out to Jaime who was an incredible host! He was very polite, funny and welcoming. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who is in the area!

RECOMMEND!!! The menu makes you hungrier - soooo many delicious pizzas and pastas to choose from. Plus a good selection of drinks and wines. Situated right on the corner of a side street in Richmond, that gets delightful sunlight on a spring day - try to sit outside if you can! Yum, yum, yum! The pizza did not disappoint. It was perfectly scrumptious and they've mastered the chilli oil spiciness as well. Staff are really friendly and helpful too. Quick service, a delightful experience.

Amazing service and truly a nice place to enjoy a well cooked meal. This place needs to expand so more people can enjoy it, but what it lacks in space, it makes up in atmosphere and tasty food. The gluten free pasta texture was cooked just right, with full on flavours. I can 💯 recommend this place.

I when there with my friends and we where 3 adults and 2 babies ( with theirs buggies) they where super friendly and helpful with us and the babies the food was super delicious and I really have a good time I will highly recommend this place

We had a wonderful experience with their vegetarian English breakfast, which was not only reasonably priced but also accompanied by excellent service. The staff members were truly outstanding and friendly.

What an awesome Meal.we’d walked past a few times and the smell was amazing- we just had to try it. Our night Started with Excellent service- prompt and friendly. Had the antipasto for starters- amazing! It was great to see chef prep the pizza bases in front of us- the pizzas did not disappoint. Affogato’s with the best coffee shot I’ve had in ages and finished with limoncello! Do yourself a favour and eat here.

The ambience, the service, the music and the food was fantastic either for a relaxed lunch or a lovely evening meal venue, I would highly recommend!!! Food was so fresh and tasty. Staff were super friendly and attentive and in particular Mustafa.

What a great little restaurant!! Small, unpretentious and the ambiance of a backstreet cafe in Naples. Warm welcome, friendly and efficient service (thanks Mustaf !); we wanted to eat before a theatre. The prawn linguine with zucchini in particular was outstanding, flavoursome sauce, huge prawns. The pizza had a nice crust and delicious topping. We shared a slice of ‘Nonnas’ almond tart to finish, 2 limoncellos on the house and excellent espresso macchiato. Wine by the glass was reasonably priced. If you want Italian in the centre of Richmond, look no further.

Ate here recently as was recommended this venue by a friend. She ordered the Pizza Piggy, I ordered a salad. Her pizza was covered generously with meat. My salad was delicious and full of tuna. Would highly recommend this venue if you want to eat somewhere other than a chain restaurant.

I walked past this place countless times before I was tempted to step inside. I am so glad that I did. I had the spicy pizza which was as good as any from one of Richmond's pizzerias. The pasta dishes I've tried, arrabiata and carbonara were cooked to perfection. The veggie breakfast was excellent and the egg, sausage and bacon sandwich... my 3 favourite foods in a ciabbata... what's not to like? The decor is low key, the staff attentive and the food excellent. Go here when you just want a bite to eat and don't need the restaurant theatre that would be more suitable for a date night.

A very cosy pizzeria just off the main street in Richmond. The dough was nice and light and I enjoyed the vegetarian pizza although personally I prefer when the toppings are slightly more cooked and charred, especially the aubergine and courgette.

Came here for a bite to eat on way home from being in the west end. Quite a compact restaurant inside but friendly staff and nice food. Reasonably priced too for London. Had pizza n wine here which was really nice. Parking nearby on the street. Free to park after 6.30pm on nearby parking. Busy little place with people in and out for dinner and takeaway.

Portofino is a beautiful and small Italian food restaurant. The service is impeccable and the staff really care about the customers. The restaurant is clean and the ingredients for the food are good. It’s also located in the heart of beautiful Richmond. Ordered pizza and pasta and would’ve liked the pasta to be less over cooked than it was even though the flavor was good. The pizza could’ve used a little more crisp in the crust and pep in its step. Overall good with a few adjustments.

I wonder why this place is 4.6. The food there is even less than anything near to italian food. Napoli pizza had fish on it and the salt was too much i couldn’t bear it. And who put egg on a pizza. Wafankulu. However the staff is nice, its cozy place and has nice atmosphere.

I really don't understand the high rating of this place. If it would be in a tourist area it would be a real tourist trap. I don't think, I have ever had such a bad pizza in a restaurant. The dough was very rubbery and heavy. The ingredients weren't tasty either. My wife’s carbonara was just tasteless. To creamy and too soft. Like they just took it from the fridge and reheated it. The bacon stuck together. The waitress asked at the end how was our meal and was really surprised, we didn't like it. Apparently we were the first with such a low opinion. Can't recommend.

We have been customers of this restaurant for several years because the food has always been good, which is why this experience was so disappointing. This past weekend, we had a very unpleasant encounter with a waiter whose behavior was unprofessional and rude. When we asked to change our drink order, he was dismissive. Later, when we requested water, he did not ask whether we wanted still or sparkling and brought sparkling water without checking. When we explained that we wanted still water, he raised his voice and blamed us for not being specific, even though no clarification was requested. Being spoken to this way, and in front of other guests, was extremely uncomfortable. When the bill arrived, we asked for the gratuity to be removed and calmly explained why. However, the waiter refused to listen and dismissed our concerns by saying it was “just our opinion,” which made the situation feel confrontational and overwhelming. It completely ruined our lunch. This was particularly disappointing as we had previously experienced an issue with another waiter and only returned because the food is good and a different staff member had been apologetic at the time. Unfortunately, this incident was too much. Customers should never be shouted at or dismissed, and waitstaff should be respectful and attentive. After this experience, we will not be returning.
