Elegant but effortless seafood. Ever-changing menu, flawless execution. Crispy oyster, smoked mackerel, perfect fish & chips. The scallop-shell madeleines are to die for. A quiet London gem that gets it right every time.

Such a lovely addition to the Hammersmith dining scene. Faber puts a lot of effort into hospitality, with each team member doing their best to be attentive and anticipate your needs. The focus on coastal English specialties is lovely and you get a true sense of the provenance of the menu, from local wines to cocktails to imaginative mains. It's a pleasure to sip an expertly prepared cocktail (the Sugar Kelp Old Fashioned is a personal favourite, but the Holy Grass Bloody Mary is delicious too and has a proper spicy kick to it) while enjoying the bustle that invariably attends the space, making you feel like you're part of a scene. Daily specials on the chalk board showcase the best of the local catch, while the regular menu hosts excellent shareable small plates and main course staples like mussels or steak. We've been a number of times already and will definitely be back.

Excellent food and kind service. Nice items to choose from, lovely oysters very fresh. Fish is cooked really well. Great cocktails. Modern decor and clean toilets. Has children’s menu which the kids loved. Many thanks!!

What a fantastic evening we had, from walking through the door to leaving, the service, the food and the drinks were all impeccable. We took up the offer of our host Frankie to “feed us” and what a great job she did as we enjoyed an incredible journey through the menu. Each course was amazing, and so hard to have a favourite, but the squid with scotch bonnet - just wow (as was everything else).

Wow - this place lives up to all the 5 star reviews. As others say you would not expect to find this place in Hammersmith. On an unassuming corner opposite the bus station side of the underground away from the Apollo. Walking in and looking around once inside this place feels at home in Mayfair, Chelsea, Sloane Square or any other posh leafy area. The service was exceptional. Attentive, friendly, helpful and made the experience even better. The food was perfect. We had the London Restaurant Festival menu and for £49 per person what a feast. We literally lost count as they just kept coming, to fill every inch of the table. As one dish went another arrived. It meant we got to taste almost all the small plates, cod cheek skewer and battered skate with chips, before we added the honey tart. Everything was fresh and delicious so many favourites: cod cheek skewers, lobster croquettes, mangalitza ham, buratta with the amazing breadcrumbs, creamy brown crab. The honey tart - even if you are stuffed share one as it is unbelievable. The wine list is so refreshing - not just the selection but the prices as well. A good selection of varied wines all at the lower prices. Vino Verde is making a comeback and theirs was delicious and made a great pairing. The cocktail menu also interesting and I thoroughly enjoyed my Rhubarb mezcal sour - earthy and smoky while also being smooth. If you’re in the area you have to eat here and if not is definitely worth the trip. We came as we were heading to a show at the Apollo but will be back purely for the food.

Discovered Faber via Google maps. The ambiance is stunning, very light and airy. Service is top notch—attentive without being overbearing. Everything on the menu was stellar — recommend the lobster croquettes and the brown crab bechemel. Give it a go!!

I’m back to update. I’ve been twice more and while this is still a pricey place (see below), the portion sizes I had that day appear to have been not the usual. You don’t get a plate piled high; you do get a fair portion, and everything is utterly delicious. A place for a treat meal! This is … tricky. While this is certainly a dining experience, this is the sort of place you go to for that experience and not if you are actually … hungry? The food is delicious and well presented, the service very attentive and friendly, and the premises spacious and welcoming. But the food is expensive and the portions on the small side. A skate wing can fill a plate; this was half a wing at best. And the word ‘bouillabaisse’ was in inverted commas on the menu board - and so perhaps I shouldn’t have been surprised by the lack of soup/stew that I received. I took my mum as a treat and we both enjoyed it, while finding it doubtful we would return.

An Unforgettable Lunch – Thank You, Frankie! What a wonderful lunch experience! From the moment my daughter and I stepped inside, we were wrapped in warmth and care, all thanks to the incredible Frankie. She made us feel truly welcome, like we were guests in her own home. Her kindness, attentiveness, and friendly nature turned our meal into something really special. The restaurant itself is stunning, the Art Deco touches in the interior create such a charming, elegant atmosphere that instantly sets the tone for a memorable experience. It felt like we were transported somewhere a little magical. The food was absolutely delightful, fresh, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. But what meant the most to me was the sweet surprise: a candle and a birthday wish just for me. It was a small gesture, but one that made a big impact. Frankie went above and beyond to make me feel celebrated, and I’ll never forget it. Thank you to the whole team, and especially to Frankie, for making our day so lovely. We’ll absolutely be returning — and I’ll be recommending this gem to everyone I know.

Really amazing restaurant, every detail was thought of down to the little candies given at the end of the meal with Faber on them. We tried a variety of dishes- the scallop, squid, gnocchi. Everything was divine. The waitress was also very lovely and helped us pick dishes to try. The restaurant is a lovely date night spot as it was slightly elevated but also approachable. Highly recommend.

The best Seafood I have is in Michelin star in Japan. I make no exaggeration when I say that Faber is close to that level. It's so good. Everything was cooked to perfection and as the waitress said "it is because it's fresh baby" and I was thinking...damn right it is. My highlight was the grilled squid with blood orange, oyster with elderflower, the skatewing with parsley, chili and cauliflower crumbs. But honestly everything was delicious. The chips are a must. Tasha provided amazing service. The atmosphere was comfortable and light. Also it was well sound insulted from noise from outside. I truly think they will get a Michelin star soon. But my take is they are one of the best Seafood restaurants in London. So...I am going back.

One of the best meals I’ve had…. Really fantastic experience. Superb seafood. Shared oysters which were pretty much the best I’ve had. Beautifully fresh and flavourful (which given I’ve been to the Isle Of Skye 3 times for the seafood, that’s a huge accolade). Equally the mussels …… amazing. The portion sizes were very good, amazing chips even!! Served by Selin who was lovely and the perfect host. If you genuinely love seafood (and understand how important quality and provenance is) , I cannot recommend it more highly

Had a great bday experience! Food was delicious, we highly recommend the sticky toffee pudding! Lovely cosy atmosphere with warm lamps and chill music. But the best part were the staff who were kind and made the bday extra special. Faber is a must try in hammersmith!

We celebrated our third wedding anniversary at Faber and could not recommend it more highly. We are fortunate to dine at many wonderful restaurants, and this truly ranks among the top ten we’ve ever visited. Frankie impressed us with her deep knowledge of the menu, while Luke was equally outstanding in his service. The whole team at Faber is young, talented, and brilliantly bright, and we wish them every success as they continue to grow. We’ll definitely be back—thank you for making our evening so special!

MY FAVOURITE RESTAURANT ON THE ENTIRE EARTH. Must visit if you’re in west London. Staff are so extraordinary and the food is just heavenly. Looking around the restaurant it’s full of smiles. Go here NOW

An independent Seafood restaurants in Hammersmith surrounded by chains. Excellent service and a menu that is pretty much seafood. There are some other options but this is very centred on seafood, which they do well. I had the gurnard which was perfectly cooked severed with roasted red pepper sauce . The rest of our party had the Cod, one had the fish tacos and eel apertiser (sized that way, not really a meal) and the mussels. No complaints. The wine though was a tough one. Selection was limited with lower quality wines, or high cost selections. Rose especially lacking selections. So limited mid range wines. Overall though, would definitely go back.

My partner and I came to this restaurant for the first time to celebrate his birthday (we actually had to reschedule two weeks later, but we still made it) and we absolutely loved everything. The cocktails, the wine list, the quality of the food, everything was perfect. The prices are very reasonable for London, and their sustainable approach is really interesting. They even remembered the note I’d left mentioning it was my partner’s birthday even though we didn’t order dessert, they brought out a candle and a sweet little note. Such a thoughtful touch! Honestly, we’ll definitely be back

I was invited, along with my mother to lunch at this restaurant in Hammersmith. I would gladly go again as the food was delicious, service was great and the atmosphere was great and what is more you could have a conversation without having to shout at each other. I had the raw scallops to start with which just slipped down my throat followed by Cod with Lentils (yum) and Poached Quince with Meringue. You could tell how fresh the cod was because it was nice and oily. The meal was washed down with a bottle of Gavi.

We were staying in the area (which is not our norm) and saw this lovely restaurant in the afternoon, peered in the window, saw the menu and immediately made a reservation for that evening. We are so very happy we did! I had a perfectly seared cod fillet which was accompanied by a potato terrine... Potatoes layered with olives, mushrooms and anchovies (i'm pretty sure that's what it said on the menu) ... But you would not, when tasting it, have any idea what was in it! It was simply a perfect combination creating an amazing flavor. My husband had a lovely gurnard filet which came with a delicious red pepper sauce, green peppers... Equally as delectable. The starters (horderve size) were both beautiful and delicious. In fact everything was beautifully presented. The decor is chic and inviting and the hostess and servers were brilliant...very knowledgeable, friendly and they all worked so well together. It was a fabulous expirience. I'm not quite sure if I'll ever stay in the Hammersmith area whilst in London again but we will definitely hop on the Tube and go to Faber once again.

Excellent quality seafood combined with creative preparation using local ingredients. I had several small plates to be able to try more dishes. The BBQ cod cheeks were a standout! I ordered some sourdough bread to go with my soup but the warm bread with salted butter disappeared before the soup arrived! Excellent restaurant very close to Hammersmith Station.

Was in london for a show and wanted somewhere to eat. We live on the kent coast and wanted seafood and found and booked Faber. So glad we did. Wife and i both had fish and chips with a curry sauce and tartar sauce each Lovely eatery with a busy atmosphere. Great food. No problem dining there again when in the area.

Absolute 5 STAR resturant. My clients had their wedding breakfast here a few weeks ago and I was lucky enough to be their photographer. Frankie & her staff at FABER were absolutely amazing. So attentive and helpful. The food was perfect. I didn’t eat with the guests as I was working so they made me a separate plate of the BEST fish & chips I’ve ever had. And I’m not exaggerating!!! xx

Lovely dinner, the dishes we ordered were phenomenal especially the lemon sole which was cooked to perfection and filleted exceptionally. Also must give the yoghurt sorbet a whirl. The staff were friendly and very attentive. Highly recommend!

I visited the restaurant due to its high ratings and was impressed by its commitment to using the finest locally sourced ingredients, which truly enhances the dining experience. The langoustine and sea bass stood out as my favorite dishes. The langoustine's tail meat was perfectly cooked—juicy, slightly sweet, and lean. The restaurant also boasts an excellent wine selection, and the service was warm and polite. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my visit.

We had a wonderful meal here on New Years Eve. My partner called ahead and asked for a vegan starter and main to be prepared for me specially and they did not disappoint. Would give the food an 11/10 if I could. All the produce was seasonal and changes regularly so they weren’t able to tell me what it was in advance, but was a wonderful surprise. Our waiter Jake was very attentive and enhanced our whole experience. We look forward to visiting again soon.

First visit and an instant new favourite. Everything is just right - right level of classy without being pretentious, perfect food, incredible desserts and professional staff. Two remarks: please provide flutes for your bubbly because it's part of the charm of it, please change the glasses between the serving of different drinks.

We found Faber exactly a year ago by chance and went into their beautiful warm restaurant with gorgeous interiors and had a stunning meal. We returned again 1 year on and everything was perfect yet again! The staff are all lovely and helped me with my menu choices as I’m gluten & dairy free. They made adjustments for me without making me feel uncomfortable and whilst I was initially disappointed I couldn’t have the chips as they are cooked in the same oil as other breaded items, the chef made me a special potato dish, which was delicious and unexpected. The wine choice is extensive , the menu changes but offers a wide variety of beautiful fish or vegetarian options. Beautiful setting and fair price for the quality of food! I think this will be our restaurant of choice next year when we return again!

All the dishes were truly excellent. Service was awesome too. However, I did notice that they (nicely) request all customers for a 5 star review at the end of the meal. Regardless, the meal was outstanding and I will visit again if in the area

A very well put together seafood spot near Hammersmith. The setting is relaxed and cozy, and the staff is kind and attentive. The food is wonderful, from the cod cheek skewers to the Maldon oysters, and the lobster is perfectly cooked and seasoned. We will be back soon for the skate wing!

The seafood restaurant of dreams! So much thought & consideration given to every aspect of the food & drink here, both from a quality & sustainability view. Superb hospitality from arrival to departure. Easily one of the best places to dine in Hammersmith if not the city. Can't wait to return!

Faber restaurant is most definitely one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to in London The decor and interior is cozy yet luxurious, such comfy seats and big enough tables to get all your food on! The staff are so kind and attentive, all with smiles on their faces as they couldn’t do enough for you! The explained the menu so well including the daily specials that the restaurant offers 👌🏼 As a massive oyster fan and someone who’s had them in multiple countries the oysters here were the best we’ve ever had. So much variety on the menu and the food was incredible we had about 10 dishes and devoured them all! Thank you so much faber from the bottom of our hearts Georgie and robin bril xxx

Absolutely brilliant dining experience at Faber in Hammersmith. The seafood is genuinely top-notch — super fresh, perfectly cooked, and presented with care. You can really tell the chefs know what they’re doing and love what they do. The atmosphere is relaxed but still feels special — ideal for a date night or catching up with friends. The staff are welcoming and attentive without being overbearing, and they know the menu inside out (great wine and oyster recommendations, too). Every dish we had was a hit — especially the crab taco and the scallop tartare with zo sauce. It’s one of those places you leave already planning your next visit. Hammersmith really needed somewhere like this — can’t recommend it enough.

Finally made a long overdue visit to this amazing restaurant. Hugely impressed with the menu choice, execution and service. We started with the Faber selection of oysters, the lobster croquette (divine) and shared the lush John Dory for our main show! We just about had room for the honey tart and homemade raspberry ice cream. All washed down with a magnificent Albariño. The team here have nailed it in terms of the whole retail offer. We will be back soon.

We had a superb lunch at Faber today and are very glad to have discovered this lovely, light filled, spacious restaurant in Hammersmith. We both ate the best poached trout we've ever eaten that was cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. The additional hispi cabbage and chips were equally delicious. We can't wait to go back and try other dishes. And it was good that you could order wine by the carafe. We would recommend this to couples families, friends and work colleagues.

One of the best dining experiences in a long time. Great relaxing atmosphere with a warm ambience. The staff were amazing. Lots of thoughtful little touches which made it a lovely evening. The food was incredible! The flavour combinations were outstanding and you could tell the ingredients were fresh and well sourced. Will definitely be back and would recommend to anyone.

Went here for a late lunch to celebrate a 30th birthday. Very quiet period in the restaurant but the atmosphere was lovely especially with the music choice of jazz piano classics. The staff were highly accommodating and, most touching of all, went and hand-wrote a birthday card when we mentioned that what we were there to celebrate! Incredible seafood platter and a good range of green sides. Reading the menu you can see how much careful thought has gone into every offering, and particularly the emphasis on sourcing from British food and drink producers up and down the country. Would absolutely visit again.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Last night’s dinner at Faber was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel genuinely welcomed, and the experience only became more special as the evening unfolded. Frankie and her wonderful colleague truly went above and beyond. They knew it was my birthday and surprised me with the most thoughtful touches, a beautiful handwritten card and a dessert complete with a candle. It was such a kind, personal gesture and made the evening unforgettable. Everything about Faber is simply divine. The staff are outstanding, warm, and attentive without ever being intrusive. The food is absolutely delicious, beautifully prepared, and a real joy from start to finish. The ambiance is delightful, elegant, relaxed, and full of charm. Honestly, it’s hard to imagine how Faber could do anything better. You are truly a gem, and we feel very lucky to have you. We love you guys. Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year, with continued success and prosperity in the year ahead. We’ll be back very soon. ❤️✨

Based on price point and attention to detail, this restaurant has some tweeking. It could be excellent with some work. Lovely building and exterior in an area of London, which has somewhat come up overall since I recall it in the 1990s. True, the interior is classy and beautiful. They've done a great job here. But like the cards highlighting water from 'Pemborkshire', not Pembrokeshire near where I was born, there is just some little things to make dining, for me, just representative of the cost. Who appeared to be the head of service was wonderful, but she couldn't be everywhere at once. Some of the other staff seemed a little behind the curve. They were polite and courteous, but when you are up to nearly £100 per person, service has to be up a notch or two. Our entry rhubarb cocktail was OK, but the smoky flavours considerably overpowered the fruit. Our other servers delayed wine service, so our wine was served with the last mouthful of my main course and poured before we could taste. In the kitchen, despite having great ingredients and fresh fish, presentation was not eye catching. My £35.00 john dory was fresh and cooked well but presented with less care than one would expect. The sauce was OK but lacked depth of flavour. The short rib was not tender enough and while the trout looked ok, the oils surrounding it added little flavour. The oysters again were very fresh, but there was no taste of elderflower, which it claimed to contain. The icy topping was a novel touch, though. The chips were very good, but several had a strange white-ish sheen on them and a small portion of ketchup. The buttermilk ice cream was fantastic taste wise. However, like the mains, my fellow diners desserts lacked flair in presentation. Again, these were good enough. Despite the lovely decor, which includes the fine restrooms and some great staff, attention to the finer details, and they could have a restaurant that packs a punch. As a regular and experienced diner, I'm unlikely to return here because for the same expenditure, which is very high, there are other options available I would prefer to try. Despite this, it is very busy here to be fair and there was a good atmosphere.

Popped in for just a quick lunch on Friday and here are my thoughts. The haddock was delicious and tasted very fresh and tender. Chips were good but almost too crispy and could have done with a couple more. The curry sauce was very bland and unnecessary, some mushy peas would have been far more welcome. The restaurant was very nice inside and service was good too apart from the fact that we were not charged the “Lunch club” price at first as apparently you have to specify this, even though we were having exactly the same food at lunch time, this was a bit fishy(forgive the pun) if you ask me and left a bit of a bad taste(and this one). This was amended once questioned. Plus odd the fish didn’t look too attractive as it seemed to be presented upside down on the plate as you can see in the photos. Discovered only after we were half way through eating it.

Went for lunch. Oyster selection, red mullet tartar, and the cod. Oysters. 3 varieties, 1 of which is fried. They were very good, with crunchy texture and sea flavour for 1, the 2nd was creamy but had this shaved ice that I felt took away from the flavour. The fried ones were quite nice as well. Red mullet tartare. Very nice presentation. Flavour was masked by more of this shaved ice “Chablis granita”. I think this should be used sparingly as it was overpowering for me, froze my mouth lol. Cod was excellent, beautifully cooked, seasoned nicely. Service. Friendly enough. However a bit more of a door presence would be good. I walked in and nobody really noticed me or greeted me. Place wasn’t busy. I walked in a bit to determine if I sat myself or not and then someone noticed me. On the same note, I was seated right by the door. I noticed an elderly couple who were struggling to get their walker up the step into the restaurant. Nobody in the restaurant noticed. So of course being the distinguished gentleman that I am, I helped them myself. After they entered, still nobody noticed that I had helped them. They just went along with their business. It is my recommendation that this restaurant pays particular attention to that entry at appropriate intervals. This is why I dock 1 star, for service.

Been wanting to try Faber wine and seafood for a while and our visit didn’t disappoint, although it didn’t excite as much as we would have liked. We tried the oyster platter to kick off and while the cold variety were expectedly fresh and crispy the topping did over power a little. The fried oyster was also a little too cooked and was a little dry and didn’t have the juicy bite within. The tacos were fun and had a good balance of flavours and zing to it. The grilled fish with chilli sauce was tasty but also a little overdone for our liking. Not to say it was dry, it was juicy inside, but lacking a moistness within and the sauce didn’t pack as much heat or flavour as we’re expecting. But overall we did have an enjoyable meal but next time we might stick more to the fresh seafood and not mix it up too much.

It was a great date night spot - Faber has a cosy and bright atmosphere (which is hard to do), with a good variety of seafood. We loved it - only thing I can say is that John Dory dish came too plain with no siders or sauces, I’d prefer the dish to be richer.

During the Christmas season, I visited this seafood restaurant in Hammersmith, which had good online reviews. It’s about a 5-10 mins walk from the underground station, making it easy to find. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and has a cozy atmosphere. The staff were friendly and smiling, providing helpful explanations about the wine options. We ordered their sourdough, sea bass, cod cheek, BBQ scallops, burrata, mussels, steak, along with some red and white wines. Most of the dishes were excellent, though the bread was a bit hard and difficult to eat. One downside was the rushed service, we barely finished one dish before the next was served, making it challenging to enjoy our meal. If they had slowed down, the food would have been less cold by the time we could eat it, which was a pity. Since we were eating so quickly, I ended up too full to try any desserts. Additionally, the restroom provided for customers lacked a trash bin, leading many patrons to dispose of used sanitary products and tissues in an unsightly manner, which was quite off-putting and unhygienic. This is something the restaurant should address. Overall, despite these drawbacks, I would still recommend this restaurant!

The place is cozy, warm, and perfect for a delicious meal. 😍 Great for dates, special occasions, or if you're craving fresh oysters. The waiters were super kind and extended happy hour for us even though we were 10 minutes late. 😀 It might not be the best spot for kids under 10, as you'll want to savor your meal in peace. 😉 Definitely recommending this place to my friends! Cant wait to see the next specials on the board #foodie #datenight #oysters #cozyvibes

An excellent restaurant located near Hammersmith station. The dining room is high ceilinged, light and airy. The interior design and decor is minimal, cool and modern. The menu is British inspired and specifically Seafood. They offer an A La Carte Menu alongside a daily Specials board. The food is excellent especially the Whole Lemon Sole and the Whole Skate Wing as mains. The variety of starters were also very good. They come as small plates so you can order a few to share. The drinks menu offered a wide range of British brands. We had a great meal and the service was excellent. Certainly going to be revisiting.

Love this restaurant, great lighting and ambience annd friendly knowledgeable service and delicious oysters, especially for £2 a pop during happy hour! We often come here for an after work drink and snack. Only request is to bring back the £6.50 glasses of chapel down back for happy hour 🥹 - cheers 🥂

The 3-course festive lunch menu didn’t meet my expectations—taste, presentation, and portion size were lacking. The decor, atmosphere, and service were very good, though.

The food was nice but the service was terrible. The staff was polite and friendly, but slow, so very slow... And there was only one other couple in the whole restaurant the whole time... We'd ordered fish and chips and a small starter, there was nothing complicated or sophisticated in our order. Also, it was quite expensive for the service and food we got. You may try it once, but it's not the kind of place I'd return to.

Nice, clean, quaint restaurant. Good menu of the day. I opted for the fennel, my friend the fish and daughter fish and chips which we shared. The fennel was nice, chips were slightly overdone. Fish was good. Wine was level. Coffee is level too. Atmosphere and ambience alongside service set up the meal

I wanted to really like it but the food just didn’t have flavor at all. I was visiting from America and wanted to try the fish and chips for the first time in London. Unfortunately, there was just zero flavor. The oysters were really good but as for the fish and chips, I was mixing all condiments to try to create some kind of flavorful dip to get through the meal. The presentation was nice and the vibe inside the restaurant was amazing.
