Food is pretty good. Would put a bit less salt though. Pretty surrounding. Service was very good. The atmosphere was quite romantic / dull - this is a master of taste but classical music was not great - although I do like it, but not in this set up. Some Latin classic would have been nicer for me 😊

Located in the heart of London, this restaurant is a true delight. As frequent patrons of their City restaurant, we were thrilled to find that the new location possessed the same charming ambiance, excellent cuisine and impeccable service. The intimate and cosy decor lends itself perfectly for romantic evenings, while the food offers a a delightful mix of traditional dishes with sophisticated twists. Though the City location is ideal for our working days, this new spot is sure to become a favourite for our weekends.

This restaurant exceeded all my expectations. You do not often find a place where every element comes together so perfectly. The delicious Spanish food, impeccable service of Mario, Samuel and Nora, and charming ambiance made for a memorable experience. I’ll be recommending it to all my friends and family.

We had such a great time at Hispania Kensington. The food is simply delicious and the staff is extremely kind. The decoration is lovely and the atmosphere very warm. We will definitely come back !

Kensington’s sister of Lombard Street’s Hispania. We had an excellent dinner in an intimate setting, enjoying a great mix of traditional and modern dishes, designed by Marcos Moran, the Spanish Michelin-starred chef. Great bar and cocktails. We’ll return.

The food with its tasty and refined flavors, the friendly and professional service, the cosy and elegant ambiance and interiors of this restaurant and bar deserves nothing but five stars. Highly recommended.

A beautiful dining room in a great location. Perfect for a business lunch or social occasion. Food is as good as Lombard St, but ambience much more intimate. A lovely spot!

The best Spanish restaurant in the West!!!! High quality food, amazing service taking care of every detail, and such a lovely atmosphere to enjoy with our loved ones. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone. It is not easy at all to find a better one in town, really authentic!!

The restaurant is excellent The food is the best I would like to address the comment from Emily Turner She was part of a group that was drunk, screaming and disrupting this lovely restaurant There were four men and this single woman shouting rather than talking sneezing loud in purpose and disrupting the conversation of all the visitors that were requesting to low down the volume This women was encouraging the members of the party to make noises Something not expected from an educated woman Seems like they went to the restaurant to crash on it rather than having a civilized dinner She did not review the food since they were drunk and so busy creating disruption and discriminating people based on the age We returned and enjoyed a second dinner far away of this uncivilized group The manager is great as well

I had a wonderful evening at Hispania Kensington, beautifully set inside the Melia Kensington. The atmosphere is vibrant yet refined, with a lovely buzz. The foie terrine was rich and perfectly balanced, the seabass cooked to perfection, and the rice pudding a delicious finish. The service is exceptionally attentive and kind, Davo and Oscar both make sure every guest feels genuinely well cared for. Highly recommended 🫶🏻

In London it isn’t hard to eat well in Spanish. The city has the product, and it has the theatres of elegance: this was once the capital of an empire, and it still knows how to set a table. What is rare, almost superstitious, is to find Spanish cooking that is genuinely refined and yet makes you feel received, not merely served. That kind of place is less a discovery than an accident. Or a new vice. Here, everything is exact without being cold. The croquetas de jamón y setas arrive indecently good, as if the kitchen had decided to spoil you early. There is truffle, fresh and unguarded, with none of that timid shaving that pretends to be generosity. The jamón de bellota is, again, generous, and you realise you’ve been negotiating with lesser slices elsewhere. Then the comforts deepen: veal cheeks that surrender completely, and an arroz de calamar as dark as ink, with seafood placed like punctuation. Dessert doesn’t break the spell. Arroz con leche and flan with cream come with that quiet confidence of things done properly, sweet but disciplined. The room helps: warm light, tasteful decoration, music that keeps you company rather than demanding attention. Service, too, is the kind that makes you lower your guard. And then, at the end, the clincher: homemade jam as a parting gift, and a very special cider to toast with, unlike anything we’d drunk before. One leaves thinking not “I should return,” but something more dangerous: “I’ve just acquired a habit.”

Absolutely loved this place, the food was great, a proper authentic Spanish restaurant, service was great - the waiter from Asturias was very attentive all night! Would highly recommend and we’ll be back very soon!

Hemos celebrado el día de Navidad en familia y ha sido una experiencia maravillosa. La comida exquisita, en especial la lubina salvaje. Hemos estado muy agusto.

Desde el momento en el que entras por la puerta sabes que estás en un lugar muy especial. Trato de 10 por parte de los camareros. La comida es de altísima calidad. Decoración impecable. Volveremos!!

Estuvimos cenando allí este viernes. Una experiencia en todos los sentidos, un sitio precioso con un ambiente tranquilo y elegante, una atención cuidada al detalle y la comida...en fin...maravillosa. Aconsejo probar las croquetas, la presa ibérica y el carabinero con huevos y patatas...y si quieres poner el mejor punto y final la tarta de queso con helado más rico que he probado. Recomendable 100x100.

Visitamos Hispania Kensington y la experiencia fue excelente. El servicio fue cercano, atento y muy profesional desde el primer momento. Nos ayudaron a elegir los platos y se aseguraron durante toda la comida de que todo estuviera perfecto. El salpicón fue espectacular: fresco, equilibrado y con un sabor auténtico que nos recordó a España. La presa ibérica fue otro plato destacado: tierna, jugosa y con un sabor increíble. El ambiente es elegante pero acogedor, ideal tanto para una ocasión especial como para una cena tranquila. En resumen, una experiencia totalmente recomendable. Sin duda volveremos.

Part of the Melia Kensington hotel , Hispania offers authentic spanish cusine which are meant to be served as a tapas style /sharing platte. The resturant is small but sizeble one with dual functionality One side is the bar and the other side is more the sit down resturant. Everything from the interior to the food and even staff, your'e transported to Spain for a few hours. I love the food, however , the bread was hard like rock solid.lol beside my friend was struggling to find some vegetarian. The staff was helpful and attentive and the ambiance was great, I wish they could have some soft music in the background to add more to the ambience.

Food was mid. Overly salty. Nothing special but the dining room is nice They gave us some free jam though!

Promised so much, delivered way below expectations. Awkward reception on arrival with a young member of staff rather unprofessionally manouvering around 3 of us to try and open a sliding door in a tight space. Almost empty restaurant. Same pleasant but completely (seemingly) inexperienced waitress showed little interest and spent most of her time outside the restaurant with the curtain between it and the bar firmly shut. She forgot to bring a wine order, poured champagne into red wine glasses already present on the table and left the water on a trolley which we had to rescue when we realised she wasn’t ever popping back in to check on us. The weekend between Christmas and New Year may not be the best to try out a restaurant, and they clearly had no other covers, however prices were not reduced and we should have received the same top quality service that others have commented on and indeed we expected. Such a shame as the food was generally delicious and expectations high, based on previous experience in central London and their reviews. A big disappointment.

Great hotel, but the restaurant is terrible. Worst hotel breakfast I’ve ever had – no choice, just bread, cheese and ham. In the evening the restaurant is often closed, service is rude, and drinks are inconsistent (one day good, next day awful). Stay at the hotel, but avoid the restaurant and don’t book breakfast.

Extremely rude regular guests who treat the restaurant like it is their personal dining room. They seem to believe that they can dictate the volume of conversation of all other tables and were very unpleasant. Vocabulary that I would not expect of men of their age.

Last Friday I took my husband here to celebrate his birthday, hoping for a special dinner. The restaurant itself is lovely and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, which we really appreciated. Unfortunately, our experience took a very disappointing turn. My husband ordered the beef tartare and later that evening, after we returned home, he became very ill with what appeared to be food poisoning. We didn’t sleep at all that night, and he spent the entire weekend feeling unwell. It was very upsetting to have his birthday end that way, especially as we chose this restaurant expecting a high standard of food and care, particularly for dishes like tartare. I contacted the restaurant immediately to make them aware so they could take any necessary precautionary measures. While the service and atmosphere were great, this experience sadly overshadowed what should have been a special occasion.
