We enjoyed our lunch here very much. The refined fusion-inspired dishes are kind to our westernised palate - not too spicy and so many different flavours in every sauces. I like the vegetable dishes more and my favourite is the Smoked Edamame and Spinach Kebab. The Baby Aubergine Masala, while sounds simple, stunned us all with the delicate texture and the vibrant flavours. We shared a fig crumble with Pistachio ice-cream and it is faultless - the fragrance of cinnamon and very tasty ice-cream, and delicate crumble.

Pravaas in South Kensington is a cozy gem that feels like a warm embrace the moment you step inside. The ambiance is intimate, yet stylish, creating the perfect setting for a relaxed dining experience. The food is a highlight — authentic, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every dish seems carefully crafted, with a perfect balance of spices and ingredients. It’s the kind of place where you can savor each bite, feeling like you’re transported to a different world. Whether for a casual meal or a special evening out, Pravaas is the kind of restaurant you’ll want to return to again and again.

We had a wonderful evening at this fantastic restaurant. The service was warm, attentive and genuinely friendly. The vegitarian and the regular tasing menue were absolutely delicious. It was the best indian food we have ever had- very tasty and attractively arranged. The wine complemented the dishes perfectly, and the birthday surprise with the song and brownie was such a thoughtful touch. We truly had a memorable experience and can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in London!

When in London, one must try the Indian food, even if it’s not usually your go-to cuisine. That’s me, and Pravaas completely changed my mind. The restaurant is small, elegant, and refined, with a professional and welcoming staff who greet you warmly, take your coats, and explain each dish as it’s served. I started with the Aperol Blaze, which somehow outshone even my beloved Aperol Spritz. We shared the scallops which were absolutely divine, beautifully plated, and so good I wished I’d ordered my own. For mains, I had the chicken tikka masala and my partner chose the lamb sukke; both were outstanding. A truly wonderful dining experience and a restaurant I’d happily return to.

Absolutely delish, more modern take on Indian cuisine. Every dish was delicious and elevated from the version I had before. My favourite would be the lamb fillet rogan josh with potato dauphinoise. The chicken mangalorean was really nice with a flavourful and creamy sauce. Staff very friendly and attentive and we enjoyed sitting downstairs with a glass window into the kitchen.

I had a wonderful experience at Pravaas Indian Restaurant. The food was full of authentic flavor and beautifully presented. The service was outstanding — the staff were attentive, friendly, and really took the time to help me choose from the menu. They even suggested an Indian wine, which I tried for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed. Everything came together perfectly for a memorable dining experience. I’ll definitely be coming back!

A delightful and fantastic meal! The menu has exciting flavours and authentic dishes which have been elevated and presented with attention to detail. The exceptional service was friendly and knowledgeable whist being considerate to our dietary needs. It was a wonderful dining experience ...not many photos as we couldn't wait to try the phenomenal food! We had to memorable evening at Pravass and can't wait to return.

Starters were excellent and the selection of pappadum was nice but very small, chutneys were served in tiny ramekins. I don’t think is appropriate to charge £4.50 for additional chutney so we skipped that. Mains were good as it was the service, perhaps a bit too much, over attentive in an artificial way, sometimes people like to be left alone. Lighting was too bright and the toilets lacked the finesse of a fine dining restaurant. Overall, a very nice experience that I recommend but I won’t return. I will discover a new place next time I’m looking for a fancy Indian!

Super delicious food and great service. A small and intimate restaurant, with a very delicious set menu a.d great cocktails. I was stuffed and the portion sizes were perfect. Highly recommend a visit here. I will be back for some a la carte food soon too.

Absolutely mind-blowing food experience! The flavours were outstanding — truly some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had. Every dish was beautifully prepared, rich in taste, and perfectly balanced. The ambience added to the experience — warm, inviting, and elegant, set in a lovely spot in South Kensington. It was my first time visiting, and I went based on a special recommendation — so glad I did! I’ll definitely be coming back very soon. A must-visit for anyone who loves authentic Indian cuisine with a refined touch.

grabbed dinner at this restaurant with a friend last week! was highly recommended by my aunt who went for dinner with a couple work friends previously in the summer. service was impeccable ✨ thank you for pouring my bubble tea into a restaurant glass (even though it was completely my fault for bringing in an outside drink). the entrees were so delicious. we got the duck and lamb for our mains. lamb was 10/10, duck 8/10. highly recommend in my books

great courses, hard to pick favorite dish but everything has good flavor and definitely elevated the usual indian cuisine in a way i haven’t had before.

An absolute hidden gem in South Kensington. I visited Pravaas with 14 of my teammates and the entire experience was outstanding from start to finish. Pre-ordering was seamless, the service on the day was warm, attentive, and genuinely personal, and the food, just incredible. Beautifully presented, packed with flavour, and very reasonably priced for the quality. My whole team was thoroughly impressed. Thank you, Pravaas, for a fantastic meal. I don’t give out 5-star reviews often, but this one is well deserved. Highly recommended.

What an amazing dinner. Nothing presumptuous about Pravaas - just phenomenal food served in a small, intimate restaurant. Incredible service was balanced with amazing flavors from the Chef. The chaat was a favorite - amazingly subtle mix of traditional flavors that were perfectly balanced. This was not only the best meal I’ve had in London, but perhaps the best Indian food I’ve had period.

Recommend the tasting menu! Great value and got to try so much. Excellent service as well

I came to Pravaas based on the google reviews as multiple people said it deserved a Michelin star. I am a big foodie but have not had too many fine dining experiences but I decided to get the tasting menu and wine pairing. The flavors and experience were truly incredible. This was truly a meal I will never forget and I agree Pravaas might deserve that coveted star. They could have charged me another 100 pounds and I don’t think I would have been upset. Please trust me and the other reviews and come here if you would like an Indian fine dining experience

We went as a family for an impromptu dinner, and we were not disappointed at all! The flavours, the spices, and the cooking were all absolutely fantastic, balanced, and really delicious. The service was equally amazing: we were well looked after from the moment we came in to the moment we left. I highly recommend this restaurant - you will not be disappointed!

Exceptional dining experience. Food was absolutely delicious and the very attentive but not remotely overbearing service was perfect. Will definitively go back.

It's taken a while to write this since the holiday to London, but my procrastination is not representative of this restaurant. I'll settle this now:, this is the best food I've ever had. Order outside of your comfort zone and you're not going to be disappointed. The portions, spice, quality, service; fantastic. It's really only a matter of time when Pravaas has a star.

The best indian restaurant I've been to. Both the service and the food is top notch! Really nice staff, and the price is very good for what you get!

Came here on a Monday evening for the tasting menu and it was incredible! I absolutely loved every single dish. I always am nervous with a tasting menu that it won’t be enough food and I’ll end up still hungry after…this was absolutely not the case here! Great portions and everything was perfect. It was a great option to try a lot of variety when dining alone and not able to share multiple dishes with others. This was definitely my favorite experience at an Indian restaurant. Would happily come back anytime!

Pravaas is an outstanding restaurant. We were thoroughly impressed by the rich, authentic Indian cuisine especially the pani puri, dahi puri and chaats. The service was polite and attentive and they were helpful in helping us decide what to choose. It’s a small restaurant but the food was delicious, including the desserts. Highly recommended, even for vegetarians!

A fancy Indian dining restaurant. The place looks very upscale. The waiting staff were dressed professionally and were polite and helpful. The service felt genuine. The quality of the food was great too. Great presentation and great taste. Non-meat options were somewhat limited, but the aubergine curry I had were very nice. I was very happy with my choice. The only thing was the portion size is so so. Still, if you are after an Indian restaurant near South Kensington, this is the one to go. (Much better than the Khan’s)

My husband took me there for my birthday and we both loved it. Delicious food and very well made cocktails we have never tried before, great service…I got a little birthday cake as a courtesy. I’m more than happy to come back 😀

We had a wonderful meal with friends (including our children aged 6-12) at Pravaas. We had a mixture of dishes including Tandoori Chicken, Mangalorean Chicken, a Kathi roll which was akin to an Indian version of a posh spring roll but with puff pastry as well as several vegan small plates. We weren't planning on having dessert but the savoury food was so delicious we decided to try the Frangipane Tart and Strawberry & Mango Falooda and we weren't disappointed. The service was exceptional in a relaxed environment. If you sit downstairs there is a window to the open kitchen where you can watch the chefs work their craft. Can highly recommend a visit!

Had dinner at Pravaas – South Kensington and it was excellent. The monkfish curry was rich and flavorful, with perfectly cooked fish and just the right amount of spice. Paired it with saffron pulao and cheese naan, which were both delicious and filling. The mango lassi was thick, fresh, and really balanced out the meal. Service was friendly and professional, and the staff made the whole experience feel relaxed and welcoming. The space is modern and stylish, with comfortable seating and a nice atmosphere. It was on the louder side, but still easy enough to have a conversation.

This was my first experience of an Indian fine dining restaurant. It has left me with a fondly memorable experience from Pravass. I brought my wife and 2 friends. The service was impeccable, staff were very attentive and were happy to explain the menu and give recommendations. The restaurants decor is sophisticated, adding to the pleasant experience. We will definitely return. Many thanks to the whole Pravaas team.

This has been such an amazing find and the best Indian restaurant I’ve been to since Tamarind Kitchen in Soho. The service was amazing, the food was absolutely divine, not to mention the super tasty cocktails. We will definitely come back to this place in the future :)

Lovely food: Indian with refinement and a little adventure. There were 3 of us and they happily adjusted the taste of Mumbai to suit. We had the duck which was modern and superb: tender, perfectly rendered fat and no chewy bits, with a great spice flavour. We also had the butter chicken as a way to compare with other places and it was excellent too: richly flavoured quality chicken and decent size. The spinach dish with roasted garlic was outstanding. We had some Indian wine that was also very good. Staff friendly and helpful and pleasant. Table was spacious and we didn’t feel rushed but also were not neglected. Will definitely go back. Loved it.

Amazing food, they take care of your dietary restrictions, and would say they are one of the best fine dinning.

This restaurant was over our expectation. The staff were so welcoming and introduced detail of the food. The food we order one is with chicken and other is with lamp (spicy sauce ) the both are super tasty. I can say this is one the best I ever tasted. Hopefully can come back soon to enjoy the meal here. Suitable for family or a date. If you have the chance to visit London and want sth different. Don't missed this one.

Newly opened Indian restaurant in South Kensington.. the decor and overall atmosphere was quite elegant… the service was top notch and friendly staff… and the highest rating is for food. We tried 3 types of starter, 2 mains and 2 sides with some Indian authentic breads.. the portion was quite decent… and the dessert was awesome… the food taste was quite unique with perfect taste… we really enjoy the combination of flavours and creative fusion with Indian tadka.. Will visit again…Highly recommended Must be try the Scallops & the Asparagus… its soooo Good 😊😊😊…

So happy we found this gem of a restaurant! The food was amazing from start to finish. Our waiter, Arun was very helpful in guiding us through the menu and all choices were just fantastic. On our next visit to London we will be sure to stop in.

We were looking for authentic indian food and decided to try this newly opened Restaurant. And our expectations have not been disappointed. The food was really delicious, the staff was very friendly and the Restaurant has a nice atmosphere. We loved the suggested starter Patra Chaat - the cook's specialty and also the Naan, the Mangalorian chicken and the Baby Aubergine were a real heaven. If we live in London, we would definitly come again :)

A newly opened, modern Indian restaurant in the heart of South Kensington. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully served, making you feel very special. The staff explained what every dish was and gave some suggestions to try something less known, which was mouth-watering indeed! Don't go for the most famous Indian dishes and try something new and you won't be disappointed! Hgly recommended and I will be back for sure!

I had the aubergine masala with butter naan, delicious and a perfectly sized portion. My husband had the tasting menu and was wowed by every dish he was served. The staff are attentive and professional. The ambiance is high end but far from bougie.

Such a wonderful flavourful experience, not "just"an Indian restaurant! The presentation and flavours were exceptional. Perfectly balanced spices and such tenderly cooked scallops and monk fish. Staff were welcoming, very friendly and explained the dishes as they served them to us.

Had an amazing experience for my partners birthday the food was unreal and the manager gave us an amazing recommendation for a dish. Everyone here was very attentive and friendly. When they found out it was my partner’s birthday they brought him out a really nice dessert and candle meant a lot would definitely recommend.

Lucky us to have found this restaurant by accident on our first night in London (jet-lagged and a hungry group of 7). Without a reservation, we were sat downstairs at a big table, which had a cozy feel and provided us with a view of the chefs behind a large glass window. Everything that we ordered was excellent, and our kids were happy too with their butter chicken. It was better than any food we could order back home, and I was delighted to have gluten free naan to soak up the delicious sauces. I'd go back tomorrow if I weren't across an ocean. Wonderful!

First class indian restaurant. I had never eaten such tasty and delicious indian food before. The staff is very friendly. The place is beautifully decorated. You can choose starters, mains, naans, etc. or have a four course menu for 35 pounds per person. Vegetarians are welcome. I took a mocktail and its taste was highly unusual but delicious.

We had a great meal in this restaurant and would highly recommended it. We were seated on the lower ground floor beside the kitchen and could watch the chefs cooking our meal. The decor was modern and tastefully done. Our waiter was Arun, who was also the manager. He was very good and helpful. Delicious food and certainly worth a visit.

Dinner was excellent, and was only matched by the outstanding service! We are relatively new to Indian food, but decided to venture outside our comfort zone. And we are so glad that we did! The tastes were amazing! Arun (both the manager and our server) was outstanding in describing each of the dishes to make sure it was exactly what we wanted. Great job to all!

Hands down, my favorite restaurant! We stumbled upon this gem in April during my first visit to London. When we came back last week for our anniversary, we went back to celebrate. The entrees were outstanding (Fish Curry & Chicken Tikka Masala)- we ordered the same thing both times. I would find myself thinking about them weeks and months later! This time around, we also tried the Peshwari Naan, which was phenomenal. The service is top notch as well. Again, I cant recommend Pravaas enough. Time for them to get their Michelin star!

Fantastic food and amazing service 10/10 would recommend. We had the lunch and it was perfect portions and the flavors were out of this world. Many compliments to the waitor and the chefs doing the magic

Unforgettable food, incredible service, lovely atmosphere! I had the Taste of Mumbai, Malvani Chicken, and finished with the chocolate spice cake with pistachio ice cream. Every plate was delicious and Aniket was extremely hospitable and beyond attentive. I couldn’t recommend this spot enough and can’t wait to visit again for the tasting menu on my next trip to London! Thank you, Aniket and Pravaas team!

Went yesterday with a big group of friends and had the £35 set lunch menu. It's extraordinarily good value. We tried most of the dishes and every single one was excellent. The cooking is creative and precise with perfectly judged spicing. It's a complete hidden gem. Just go, it's marvellous.

Excellent food, very friendly and prompt service. Food is much better than some Michelin star Indian restaurants, most pleasingly caters to diners preference, not snobbery! Lamb chops were brought in medium rare but when asked to get them well done did so without any reservations. My interest in Indian fine dining rekindled after a disappointing meal at a Mayfair restaurant few weeks earlier. Although it was quiet on Sunday night when we visited, as the restaurant is not large best to book.

V

Just had a lovely valentines meal. The most delicious Indian cuisine I’ve had in a very long time. Great service, atmosphere and location - right near our next stop of national history Museum.

A
Alicia

This restaurant needs to head to specsavers and have a look at its prices again. One small takeaway box of Lamb Biryani for a quarter of 100? £25 is an absolute daylight of robbery in this economy, for a tiny box is insane. There was not any cutlery provided in this either. I do not recommend, this restaurant severely overcharges.
