Bluebird Chelsea Restaurant

What a great experience celebrating my mum’s birthday. Very attentive service, Adem was very friendly and kind. Unique experience we definitely recommend this restaurant and will be returning soon.

Coming to Bluebird was a great experience from start to finish. The ambiance was vibrant yet relaxed, making it a perfect spot for both casual outings and special occasions. One of the first things we noticed was how warm and welcoming the staff were—friendly, attentive, and professional. The service was truly top-notch, easily a 10/10. We appreciated the flexibility of having both indoor and outdoor seating options, which is always a plus depending on the weather. We chose to sit outdoor this time as the weather was lovely plus they had the heaters on . For our meal, we ordered a beautifully cooked salmon dish and a plate of gnocchi. Both dishes were excellent—flavorful, well-presented, and satisfying. The portion sizes were just right, leaving us room to try dessert. We couldn’t resist ordering one to share, and it turned out to be a great decision—the dessert was absolutely delicious and provided the perfect end to our meal. Given the central location and the high quality of food and service, we found the prices to be quite reasonable. We paid roughly £90 in total, which included a beer and a cider. We’d definitely come back again and would recommend Bluebird to others!

I live in Chelsea and visit the Bluebird regularly. The atmosphere is outstanding and the service is genuinely world-class. The team are warm, attentive, and impeccably professional, which makes every visit a pleasure. The food is consistently excellent, and Abo, Rafa, Fernando, along with the rest of the staff, always go the extra mile to ensure a flawless experience. One of my favourite places in the area, highly recommended.

Food at the bluebird was amazing, I had the chopped salad and chateaubriand for 2 which came with truffle mash and Bordelaise sauce. We also had a side of carbona spinach. Meal was very rich but tasted delightful. Had the golden egg for dessert which was beautiful to watch and was very tasty and left very full. Service from Grace was impeccable. Table water and wine was always topped up. She was very attentive and friendly. The setting was beautiful and very contemporary. It was not busy. I would recommend to a friend.

We had the set menu which was delicious! We had cheddar veloute, salmon maki, gnocchi, pie and sticky toffee pudding! With a glass of prosecco on the side. We will definitely be returning! All food was absolutely delicious. Staff were attentive and the venue was beautiful!

I expected to be underwhelmed because of the hype, but the crispy duck salad is truly amazing, and worth the (albeit high) price! Their terrace is beautiful, and so is their upstairs interior. Their café is kind of generic looking though. Impeccable service.

Bluebird is definitely DOG FRIENDLY. My dog was pretty chill in the restaurant. She felt welcome by the friendly staff. There was a whippet as well. The restaurant is listed in the Dog-Friendly Chelsea Map which shows the shops and restaurants welcoming dogs. I possibly had the best Sunday Roast ever. Yes, it's more expensive than ordinary pubs. The rump steak was so tender, moist and flavourful. A generous portion of roast vegetables accompanied the rump steak and a giant crispy Yorkshire pudding. The roast potatoes were so delicious and crispy. (Forget about the calories 😀). My dog also liked the seasonal vegetables 😀 After finishing the whole plate, my tummy had no room for dessert. I will go back to try the roast pork next time.

Popped here as a lunch treat for my mother. Excellent venue and, for the quality of the food, very keenly priced. Lovely fresh food, and the surroundings are great - there are tables for board games and newspapers in one part. Very efficient and friendly service and loos to DIE for! Fabulous way to spend an afternoon.

If heaven had a taste, you will find it here. We had the set menu and it exceeded all our expectations. The Venue is just gorgeous. Great for events, birthdays and weddings. The high ceilings give this place so much character. The cauliflower soup is the best soup ever. I highly recommend the lamb ragu… OUTSTANDING!!! The wine was paired beautiful. The waiters are dressed so well. Out waiter Vlad was excellent. Was such an experience. Can’t wait to go back.

Grace was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Made sure we had everything that we needed throughout our meal and very friendly. The food was amazing and the steak was cooked to perfection. Thank you for a brilliant evening!

Great food and amazing atmosphere! We were served by Yousef and honestly, an amazing server. All of his recommendations were spot on. Thank you for your assistance in helping us decide what to get. When you go there, ask for him. He definitely deserves a raise.

Llan (I think his name was?)served us and was wonderful as well as the others in the downstairs area. We really enjoyed the steak tartare, steaks, truffle mash, cabbage and golden egg dessert! Relaxing cute atmosphere

I’d just like to pass on my unreserved thanks and express my real pleasure after enjoying an excellent lunch at the Bluebird today. We have dined here several times on special occasions in the past but not for some time and when I was trying to think of somewhere special to take my wife for her 75th birthday lunch I thought of you and invited my daughter too. I’m so glad I did because we were treated so well from the minute we arrived and all staff made us feel very welcome. The food as always was excellent and the service first class. We were even treated to a free glass of Prosecco and a small chocolate treat complete with candle. Please express my thanks to all staff. It will certainly not be long before we return.

me & my boyfriend came here for valentine’s day and had such a lovely time. we somehow messed up the booking ourselves, but they managed to fit us in anyway on such a busy night, which we were so grateful for. on top of that the food and service were amazing :)

Lovely atmosphere, very welcoming staff from the moment that we arrived. The food was delicious and very fresh and I was astonished by how Adem was so kind and thoughtful towards me and my guests. I’ll definitely recommend this restaurant and looking forward to comeback soon.

I had an excellent experience at Bluebird Chelsea. The atmosphere is very pleasant, well-organized, and sophisticated, yet welcoming at the same time. The service was great from start to finish. A special highlight was the drinks service: bartender Walace made all the difference, preparing drinks that were not only delicious but also beautifully presented. Definitely, the bar service elevated the overall experience. Highly recommended.

The service has been outstanding. Initially there was an error with our order, but all of the staff went out of their way to make it up to us. The food was wonderful, especially the white chocolate egg for dessert. We will definitely be back.

We had an incredible night out at Bluebird Chelsea! The evening started with great energy as the crowd built up, and by the time the DJ hit the decks, the vibe was electric. The music was on point all night — a fantastic mix that kept everyone dancing and having fun. The atmosphere was lively and stylish, exactly what you want for a memorable Friday/Saturday night in Chelsea. The bar staff were friendly and fast with drinks, and the contemporary cocktail menu added to the whole experience. Whether you’re into dancing, socialising, or just enjoying a buzzing night with excellent tunes, this place delivers. Definitely one of the best night-time spots in West London

We recently visited Bluebird Chelsea with a group of 30 people and the experience was outstanding from start to finish. The booking process was quick, responsive and very helpful, which made organizing such a large group stress free. On the day the staff welcomed us warmly. Coats were taken professionally, and we were shown to our private room with ease. The waitering team was fantastic! They were friendly, attentive and full of great recommendations. They mixed excellent drinks and ensured everyone felt well looked after. The food was truly top class, perfectly heated, tender and full of flavor. Every dish was served with care and the quality really stood out. Bluebird Chelsea delivered a seamless and memorable dining experience for our entire group. Highly recommended for both small and large gatherings!

My husband and I came here for afternoon tea. The food was wonderful, and our server Farouk was amazing!! We were celebrating my husband’s birthday, and he brought over free dessert and champagne to celebrate. Thank you Farouk & Bluebird!!

Yummy food in a beautiful setting - loved the spicy salmon tartare, the truffle mash, and the vegetarian curry. The ambiance is nice and refined. Unfortunately service was a complete miss for us - our server was a bit standoffish (for no apparent reason), the food took a while to come out, and they took forever to bring the bill (and then the card machine) despite asking a few times. Overall it’s a good place and I’d like to come back, hopefully with a better service experience.

Extremely nice venue with history, We were there on our work Christmas celebration service was very efficient Maybe the bar staff could do a bit more personality and interact a bit more, but food service was excellent and really enjoyed it. Christmas dinner was very tasty. Told by friends it's even good to take families as They have special days.

Went for drinks and had a nice table in an overall great setting. The venue is very spacious, which adds to the experience. Drinks were fine, but the service fell below expectations.

We sat outside, table for 5. Really friendly service. We had two steaks, burger and chips and I also had the crab starter - all were excellent. Looking at the other guests, next time I'm going to order from the bar snacks instead of a main meal because the chicken burger and burger from the snack menu was very reasonably priced compared to the full menu and they looked a good size too!

Always nice to visit Bluebird - like a grand old lady restaurant on the Kings Road. Always reliable if not spectacular. The setting is gorgeous and it’s looking great for a summer of sport decked out with flowers. Menu always interesting and good selection of wines including by the glass.

Came here for lunch, what a relaxing atmosphere! Apparently there were no offers on the menu. I had the roast chicken, was just ok. Dessert was simply the best Monkey bread with a smoked caramel sauce, I was elevated! The extra star is for the dessert.

I and a friend got an excellent deal for under £30 including a glass of Prosecco and three courses. The food was excellent value and tasted high quality, excellently cooked, served well in a very pleasant environment, though sadly almost empty midweek. The portions were not massive, but certainly reasonable. The options were limited but we did have a very cheap offer. The only disappointment was that the cost of a bottle of Prosecco was ridiculous so we didn't order it. I would certainly go there again

A spacious restaurant with a very good decoration but the food was average and expensive compared to allow other similar in the are. The worst of all at least today was the service. Our waiter was exceptional but something was wrong in the kitchen. Although at the time we have been there almost half of the takes were free or under reservation however it took more than 20 minutes to serve us even when we asked for additional drink.

Really nice atmosphere and interior is lovely. Staff is very polite and the service also good. The food presentation was very eye appealing, however the taste did not match my expectations. The flavours were quite general and did not stand out. I would consider going back but it's definitely not at the top of my must-go restaurants list in London

I was really disappointed with Bluebird. The prices are very expensive for what you get, and the portions on the menu are quite small. The service wasn’t great either, which made me wonder whether Bluebird treats its staff well. The interior is cool. Overall, I think there are much better places to go.

Before I start, Matteo & Din were absolutely amazing and both deserve 5 stars, however the dining experience and blue bird was shocking. We made a booking and there was an option for outside seating or inside and we chose inside. When we got there, we told we could only have a table outside due to a wedding taking place inside. This should have been communicated to us when the table was booked as it was cold and raining that evening so we were all shoved under a tiny umbrella that barely covered us. Our drinks took a while to come out, they forgot the soda water that my friend ordered with her vodka and when it came out, it was flat. We had starters which were yummy but then had to wait 40 minutes after our starters were finished for our mains. I ordered a medium rare steak and from this picture, you could see no way is that medium rare. There was no one around for me to complain to and when finally someone did come over, the ‘manager’ that was on last night, told me I was wrong and this in fact was medium rare and almost made me feel stupid. 2 of my other friends steaks were medium rare and cooked perfectly and the comparison to theirs, was shocking. He offered to take it back and cook it longer but by this time, it was 10pm. They also brought us the wrong sauces to go with the steak which we then had to wait for so our steak was getting cold. I told the manager I did not want to pay for a steak that i didn’t eat due to how it’s been cooked and all he could offer me is 10% off the bill which is absolutely ridiculous. I will not be returning for food and wouldn’t recommend.

Outdoor area is really nice and service is good, however food taste and quality is a cafeteria level and that includes coffee as well. Not recommended at all.

We booked a table online one day in advance for the first seating at 7pm. Despite providing credit card details as a deposit, I received 16 emails and 8 phone calls just to confirm the booking — completely excessive and unnecessary. Once seated, the restaurant was extremely cold. We mentioned this to the waiter, who said he would inform the manager to make it warmer. We then told three different waiters that it was far too cold to enjoy our meal — honestly, it felt colder than outside. Nothing was done. I am writing this review while still sitting in the restaurant, freezing. We’re not even sure we’ll survive long enough to order dessert — it feels like eating outdoors in a windy field while camping. The food was average and overpriced for the quality. The minestrone broth was not minestrone at all — just a cold, vinegary liquid with a few tiny raw pieces of vegetables. Very disappointing. The ribeye was cooked well, but that alone doesn’t make up for the overall experience. Comfort, service, and value were all lacking. A restaurant should at least ensure guests are warm enough to enjoy their meal. DEFINITELY NOT COMING BACK

Unfortunately we had three dirty glasses, they lost one of our drink orders, didn’t give us any tap water despite asking twice, and they had no drink on tap (Peroni had run out of gas). On top of this, there’s a mandatory 14.5% service charge which is a lot. Definitely would not recommend coming here, I feel like it’s showy with no substance.

Absolute disaster on Valentine’s Day!!!!!! We had a Valentine’s Day booking at Bluebird Restaurant, but the experience was unacceptable. We waited around 20 minutes just to speak to the hostess. When we finally got to her, we were told to wait at the bar—except there wasn’t a single seat available. People were standing and waiting in every corner. Despite having a booking, we were then told we would need to wait a minimum of 40 more minutes for our table. That completely ruined our Valentine’s Day plans. We ended up leaving because there was no reasonable way to stand and wait for close to an hour after already waiting to be acknowledged. Very poorly managed and extremely disappointing. I do not recommend.

We booked for a valentine dinner, out booking was at 7:30 pm we arrived and there was already a large que of people waiting to be seated (they also had bookings), we were told to wait at the bar for a table to be free and someone would come and find us. After 1hr 20 minutes of waiting I went to inquire on our table, I was assure that my table would be next and was given a complimentary glass of wine. However after a total of two hours and 20 minutes I went to inquire again about my table and was finally seated, our server gave us a complimentary bottle of wine however this hardly excused our well over 2 hour wait for a table that I had booked long in advance. The food was great and service very accommodating however the fact that I had to wait so long for a table after booking well in advance greatly diminished our experience.
