Lovely atmosphere and great service from Dominic! He also gave us a free refill on our fries as a nice gesture :)

We came here for dinner for my wifes birthday on friday evening, it was an early dinner before going to the saatchi Gallery. We really enjoyed the evening and the staff made it feel really special. As it was a Friday the pre fix menu was available. Its incredible value for the food you get. As it was my wifes birthday they brought out complimentary drinks for the whole family, which was a lovely touch. My son wanted calamari as a starter but it wasn't available on the pre fix. The manager who was superb, said it was no problem and let us swap it over. We all had the steak and chips for the main which was beautifully cooked. All the staff came over to sing happy birthday when they brought out dessert. It was a lovely evening thank you Cote for making it special.

Amazing food selection and quality! Had Christmas eve lunch here and the set menu was fantastic and reasonably priced! Was able to enjoy family and friends’ company as it saved us the trouble of having to cook and clean up. Will definitely come back again

I hadn’t been to this place in years, and walking in felt both familiar and brand new. The whole restaurant has been redesigned since my last visit — it still keeps some of its old charm, but now it’s brighter, cleaner, and just feels more refined overall. I came back for the minute steak I used to love, and I’m happy to report it’s still as great as I remembered. Sure, the price has gone up a bit since back then, but that’s par for the course these days. I was served by Dom (Dominico, I believe), who really stood out — not just for being friendly and professional, but also for having that genuine, seasoned presence you only get from someone who’s been doing the job a long time. Turns out he’s been with the company for over 13 years, and it shows. We had a nice chat about the old days — I actually used to briefly work there myself over a decade ago. All in all, a great visit. Good food, improved atmosphere, and a top-tier server who knows the game inside and out.

Everything was incredible, my friend and I had such a lovely time! Domenico was so attentive and even noticed when we were running low on fries and gave us a free refill! He even let my friend charge her phone behind the bar as it had lost battery. Everyone is so friendly here and really makes the experience 100/10! I can’t wait to come back

I had a wonderful experience at Cote in Sloane Square. The food was absolutely delicious every dish was full of flavour, fresh, and beautifully prepared. It really exceeded my expectations. The service was just as impressive. Dom❤️who looked after us, was fantastic friendly, attentive, and made us feel so welcome throughout the meal. His excellent service really added to the experience and made the evening even more enjoyable. I’d highly recommend Cote at Sloane Square to anyone looking for great food and outstanding service. I’ll definitely be coming back!

What a beautiful restaurant with a wonderful atmosphere. The staff are exceptional at what they do, and my server, Domenico, was especially outstanding. I’ll definitely be coming back to this restaurant the next time I visit London.

It was a great experience, the restaurant had a nice, chill atmosphere and the food was incredible, we had the potted crab as a starter with french onion bread, the steak and fries as the main and the pistachio creme brûlée and Chocolate praline tart for dessert, the food tasted incredible for a great value aswell, with the set menu, highly recommend!!

While me and my friends walking around the area, enter Côte to grab some coffee and have desert, although we haven’t reserved earlier but they accommodate us and give us a 45 minutes time which was more than enough for us. We ordered tea, coffee and the famous cream caramel and all were nice. Their service was great and the staff were nice and attentive.

Restaurant was very busy at lunchtime but staff were super friendly and professional, not rushing anyone to finish. Food was great, good value and quality. The staff including the manager, my waiter Domenico and their Indian colleague gave great service, making sure you were looked after without being overbearing.

I had a lovely dining experience at Côte recently. The atmosphere was cozy and elegant, perfect for a relaxing evening meal. I started with the steak tartare, which was beautifully presented with a fresh egg yolk on top and served with slices of crusty bread. The meat was finely seasoned and incredibly flavorful – one of the best tartares I’ve had in a long time. For the main course, I chose the seabass fillet, which came with tenderstem broccoli and a velvety, aromatic sauce. The fish was perfectly cooked with crispy skin and moist, delicate flesh. The sauce complemented it wonderfully without overpowering the dish. A special thank you to Dominico, our server, who was attentive, kind, and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. He had great menu recommendations and made sure everything was perfect throughout the meal. I highly recommend Côte for anyone looking for a delicious French-inspired meal with warm, professional service. I’ll definitely be coming back!

It’s hard finding a place that is good food but also kid friendly. This was it all! . The service was good. Our waiter Dom was on top of it all. Made sure the kids got all they needed so they could be calm and let the parents enjoy. Will be coming back for sure

We came to Cote for a pre-Christmas meal. The food was good but unfortunately menu had been limited due to the busy period. However our waiter Dom made our visit very pleasant. Very nice waiter, offered us extra bread for inconvenience and also great chat. Merry Christmas

Despite coming at lunchtime on a Black Friday without booking we were quickly accommodated (thank you 4 guests that were running late!). Domenico made sure each time he got our order right in this extremely busy time. Food and drinks came quickly and the quality couldn't be faulted. Our only regret is running out of time to get dessert since we had a train to catch. Very dependable place, like nearly every Cote we've been to. Highly recommended.

Helenka was absolutely fantastic host for our table. We needed a table at short notice and they fitted us in quickly and put no pressure on us while ordering or eating. All very relaxed and yummy food. Although the place is very busy as on the main Sloane Sq, it is a relaxed atmosphere with nice space between tables. Thank you Helenka for being awesome!

Highly recommending this place. The staff were amazing, especially Julia. Top notch service and food. Best part of my meal was chicken liver parfait and then chocolate fondant and pistachio creme brulee (yes, had both)

We have just had a fantastic evening meal for 7 adults and 4 children at Cote in Sloane Square celebrating my mother’s birthday. Fantastic food. Fantastic service by Nidhi who was always on hand to provide us with the refill chips and ketchup. A real hit when you’ve walked around London, tired and hungry. Well done Cote. Your staff were brilliant today. 👏

Great experience at Cote. The atmosphere is elegant and comfortable, and the food quality—especially the steaks—was excellent. Special thanks to our waiter Domenico for his outstanding service; he was attentive, professional, and made the whole experience even better. Definitely worth a visit.

The ambiance is great - modern yet refined, in a beautiful area of the city. The service is also good (eating alone is much nicer in places without a heavy tipping culture) and I appreciated how the drinks menu had many non-alcoholic options. However, the food was unfortunately the weakest part of the experience - the mushroom rillettes were interesting and creative but the rest of it seemed fairly average. Perhaps their non-seasonal dishes would have been a better pick

Went to see this year's "Chelsea in Bloom". Was attracted by the flower decoration outside this restaurant. Got in and ordered the set menu. Enjoyed all the dishes we ordered apart from the Steak Tartare (not a fan of raw meat). Pork belly was very tender and the veg and fruit came with it was definitely a plus! The vanilla and chocolate ice-cream was also lovely👍. Pretty good value for money, considering its location. The staff are all very nice and friendly. It is a very busy place, so a bit wait for the food and the dining table is on the small side.

I really enjoy dining at Côte Restaurant because their service is incredibly fast, the food is delicious, and the prices are very competitive. Today, Domenico took care of my table and provided impressively quick service, making the experience even better.

The restaurant has a strange policy — you can’t order desserts only, even if you want several of them. You have to order another dish, such as a salad or a main course, in order to have coffee and dessert. However, the waiter was very accommodating and allowed us to sit and order whatever we wanted without any restrictions. The place is really lovely, away from the busy streets, and close to the Peter Jones & Partners shopping center.

Lovely atmosphere and friendly service. The French onion soup was rich, the potato gratin creamy, and the dessert was excellent. The only small downside was that the pork was a bit dry. Overall, a very nice dining experience!

Randomly found this restaurant while scouting for a place to eat. Walked in and was greeted with a really friendly smile from dearest Laura. This isn’t always the case in some restaurants, so I was quite happy with that reception. She calls over the manager to confirm if I could get a table, and the charming Sergiu went quickly into action to find me one. I was served by Anshul who also had a pleasant personality. When I finished, I needed help with some other matters, and Sergiu was very helpful with good suggestions. Thank you all so much for being stars. I hope to return again soon. Cheers!

Very good steak and frites, and really good pork belly! Not impressed with the tartare but overall good food we had the 2 course deal and was good. Long time waiting unfortunately and no food first for kids.

J
Jack de Hennin

Great service, average food. Domenico was a wonderful waiter who was very attentive, welcoming and polite. Unfortunately the food here is very average (3/5) and didn’t quite hit the spot for the French food fix I wanted. Steak frites is done with a very very thin steak and the chips were sometimes a little undercooked and not crispy. A reliable meal but don’t expect it to satisfy what you came here craving or knock your socks off in any way.

I can’t describe my confusion when they served a sweet French toast with cream cheese and cherry compote accompanied with… fries. Like.. what? The weirdest combination ever! The menu doesn’t say anything like this. I asked the waiter, he assured me it was meant to be it. And the toasted brioche with cream cheese spread didn’t look impressive either.

I am a regular visitor at Côte, in different parts of London. The bistro-look is attractive, but the restaurants are unfortunately usually very noisy. Staff have always been exceptional, wherever I went. The girl at reception and also our waitress were fabulous!! Prices have gone up and our meal was partly disappointing. With the big choice of restaurants in London, Côte won’t be top on my list in the near future.

A
Alan Bir

Front of the restaurant is nice - but if you end up at the back then it feels like a windowless work canteen ... with the a/c running uncomfortably cold. Walked in without a reservation and had to wait 5 minutes to then be taken to the back where it was mostly empty... hmm. Had a vegetarian burger and although it tasted ok (just) - it was not a looker - and the chips that came with it were a little mean; that said - I did take up the menu statement of "Free-Flow Fries until defeat" and ordered more - so not so bad. Cotes needs to try harder!!

E
Ek Balam

The croque OG (£12.50) felt poor value when you compare it to the Brasserie Breakfast proposition on the same menu. For that price, it should be cooked and finished properly, not something that comes out in 2 minutes and eats like a pre-made item reheated quickly. The edges were over-toasted/bitter (visible in the photo), while the top was barely gratinéed, and the filling was minimal. If you’re charging near “full breakfast” money, the execution needs to match.

C
Claire Filby

Back in December, I had a nice meal and problem-free service but I was a bit shocked when the member of staff scowled and said ‘what, no tip?!’ When I paid the bill in spite of the service charge included. This reaction took the edge off the whole experience to be honest. Just wanted to understand if this is acceptable customer service in your view?

S
Scott Conroy

The food lacked any flavour at all. I had the ribeye which came off a dirty grill. Peppercorn sauce I had to add a ton of pepper to. And a lemon tart that tasted of nothing. I nearly did a covid test I could taste that little.

Disaster dinner I have ever had in my entire life. First of all is the food, the salad didn’t cut the root, the beef cheek got some black unknown part in the middle and the filet we ordered two of them with medium rare but one of it is as rare as it not been cooked. The odd the thing is you can tell from the black and bitter surface it is cooked by the kitchen for 40 minutes which is how long we’ve been waiting for our main course while we can see the other table come after us is already finished their desert. By the way, the reason I didn't have the filet's picture is they are taking away our plates in the fastest speed during the whole dinner service when we reflecting to them about the food issue. This leads to the second point I want to mentioned is the service is much worse then before. Can you imagine that you need to open the water bottle and pour the water as well for your self, also the plate for starter is pile together we need to do it by ourself. No matter is the food and service questions, the answer you can only get from their waiter and manager : they are all suppose like that, they are all doing that way, their restaurant is just like that. What is even more ridiculous is that when we respond, including saying that other guests' tableware is set or that lettuce with salad has never been seen before, it is not rooted. The manager either said that the lettuce was oxidized, and the answer was as pale and tasteless as the wine mixed in their shop, or he was dead silent and didn't answer your question. Their solution is also very intriguing, and the waiter's eyes and attitude are like we are looking for something on purpose, without saying an apology. You may want to ask, why can't you reflect these problems in time? If, like us, you serve yourself by yourself all the time and wait for the main course for 40 minutes, you are too hungry to discuss with them. I don't want to spend another 40 minutes waiting for the new main course to be served. To put it mildly, the food quality and service attitude of this restaurant are very unprofessional. We visited this restaurant many times last year. At that time, the service, dishes and atmosphere were really good. Now I can only say that I will never set foot in this restaurant again and I will not recommend this restaurant to anyone I know around me.

This was the worst experience I’ve had in a côte branch. It started with being ignored at the host stand despite making eye contact with the wait staff. This continued until a nice “white” couple walked in after which someone came up. Since we were first in line (of two) and when I gave my name and if it’s positive to be seated outside, I was told to go and sit then. When I pointed out that the tables haven’t been cleared, I was told to go sit and then they’ll clear it. The clearing consisted of picking up plates and cups but not wiping down the obviously dirty table of food scraps. We sat there for over 15 minutes with no menu or even drinks order and I went back inside to ask for menus to be told that the person who sat us went on a break and didn’t communicate that there were people siting out. Even then we had to wait to see menus. We’ve initially wanted to have brunch there but all the delay put us past the brunch time and we were told that from 11:30 am (on a Sunday) it’s just a lunch menu. Even though the app & website indicated that brunch is served till 2 pm on weekends. It then took another 15-20 minutes to take our order, we weren’t allowed to choose our cheeses for the cheese plate, despite the menu clearly indicating “our choice of cheese” - it was chosen for us by someone in the kitchen I guess. A cheese plate and a Café Gourmand took ages to arrive, and when they did, they arrived with a soup spoon and knife and on a tissue. No forks, or even serving plates in sight. The macaroon was weirdly squished like someone picked it up between two fingers, the coffee was served on a dirty plate with the remnant of dried coffee & coffee grounds on it. The more we kept trying to get the attention of the waiter, who kept making eye contact and shaking his head that he’s seen us, the more we were ignored. The same waiter magically had the ability to clean a neighboring table, wipe it down, seat an elderly couple, take their order, give them blankets, and serve them their hot entrees faster than we got a plate of cheese. I would also like to note that they got complete cutlery sets on cloth napkins as well. Whenever we called the server, whose name is Anshul, he would reply with a curt “yes?” Then ignore us completely till we call again and again. We’ve also noticed this horrible service seems to be targeting almost exclusively to Middle Eastern and obvious BIPOC people. Overall, if I could give this experience something lower than 1 star I would’ve. The only redeeming part of the whole experience was the manager, Sergiu, who was so understanding and indignant on our behalf. And we trust in his promise that this will never happen again. His offer of not having us pay was appreciated but refused because this is not about money, this is about the lack of respect we were shown. I would not in good conscience encourage anyone to patron this establishment if things don’t change drastically.

So I heard about the cream caramel is very delicious and we ordered 2, they provided two with two different colors and flavors as the picture shows one of them not fresh. I asked the waiter and she changed it to another one which is not fresh as well. You can see the different in the picture. Not recommended.

We were going to see a play at the Royal Court Theatre, and arriving in Sloane Square early had time for some lunch. Our experiences of Côte are rather mixed (great in Horsham for breakfast, couldn't get a table in Tunbridge Wells as despite the place being empty, they maintained they were fully booked). And so to Sloane Square... On arrival at around 11:50, we were seated one table down from a corner booth seat by the window (a young couple were sitting in the booth but left within a few minutes). After receiving menus, we then waited more than ten minutes to be served whilst two male staff chatted at the entrance desk and spent time looking out of the window. As the corner booth was vacant, we relocated to it only to be told by one of the male staff that it was booked for 12:30. We moved to a further table beside the main entrance immediately next to the vacant booth. 12:30 came and went, and as we prepared to leave at around 13:15 the booth was still unoccupied. A pair of older ladies (apologies) arrived at this time at started to sit at the table we originally sat at, but as space was quite restricted, and one had a walking stick, we suggested they use the booth as it had more room and was still vacant. This action triggered the small, Italian manageress, who became very aggressive, raising her voice and demonstrating that she hadn't been front of house trained and able to diffuse such situations (perhaps because she instigated it in the first place). She checked her reservations and pointed out, very rudely, that the booth was booked for 13:15. Seeing that there was no 12:30 booking on her tablet booking system, we asked why the male server had then lied to us, which seemed to infuriate her even more. Suffice to say, we won't be visiting Côte again. The food was average: french onion baguette with free flow fries, sirloin steak baguette with free flow fries, green salad. I'm not sure why I was asked how I wanted my steak cooked, as it only warranted being well done, I had it rare, and it was probably the worst gristley, fatty, chewy steak I've ever been served. The only positive was the Malbec... Côte Sloane Square is definitely one to avoid.

Have eaten at this Côte several times over the years, but after today I shall never be going back. I arrived for lunch with a friend today. When. I arrived there was no-one at the front desk. I walked through and found my friend and sat down. I felt some oil on the chair and stood up to find it had mayonnaise all over it (ruined my trousers). They cleaned it off with a wet cloth. I had to use my napkin to dry it off before I could sit down. I ordered the cheese soufflé which can with the most dried out and yellowing parsley you can imagine. I sent back the parsley with the manager. No apology, actually she appeared quite put out by it. The soufflé was no better. Apart from the filthy chair the floor was dirty too: An olive on the floor by my seat, and a dropped knife under my table. I waited to ask for the bill but, as with the rest of the meal, nobody came to the table. I had to go and ask for it. At the end of the meal I spoke to the supervisor, as the manager was, again , nowhere to be found. He was apologetic but told me he was only on training. Honestly, this was the worst meal I have had in London in 20 years! Côte Sloane Square used to have a good reputation but no longer; it was filthy and dirty, ruined my trousers, and the food was reportable to the local Environmental Health. I gave a 2* only because I am so grateful not to be dead one hour later.... Never going back. Would never recommend. Eat there at your peril.

I arrived in the evening and had several staff walk past me without any greeting or acknowledgement. Once the manager arrived, she spoke to us rudely. I felt very unwelcome and this is unfortunate as I had an amazing experience with the Soho team the week prior.
