Opinions de HUŎ Chelsea London
HUŎ Asian restaurant in Chelsea is a true gem. Firstly, let's talk about the interiors - absolutely gorgeous! The atmosphere is calming and chic, setting the stage for a delightful dining experience. The driftwood colors and bleaching timber banquettes create a light and soothing design, perfect for intimate gatherings or smaller group meetings. Their menu is a culinary journey through clean, fresh, and healthy Asian food, featuring carefully selected dishes from China and Southeast Asia. What sets them apart is their commitment to preparing everything from scratch, drawing inspiration from traditional Chinese, Thai, Malay, and Singaporean disciplines. The bar at HUŎ offers Asian-inspired cocktails, alongside an impressive selection of Japanese whiskies, vodkas, and craft beer. For those looking for a more laid-back experience, a reduced food menu is available for counter dining. Now, onto the food - exceptional is an understatement. I started with the Kaleidoscope Dim Sum Basket, a burst of flavors and colors that set the tone for the evening. The Wok-fried daikon cakes with bean sprouts were a delightful surprise, so deliciously traditional that I couldn't resist having more. Moving on to the mains, the Thai sea bass fillet with chili lemongrass was a standout - fresh, tasty, and simply divine. The Thai green curry with prawns was equally delightful, bursting with flavor. The stir-fried morning glory with garlic was a perfect complement to the other dishes. As a self-proclaimed picky espresso martini enthusiast, I must say that mine at HUŎ was excellent! My friend enjoyed a proper Aperol Spritz. The team at HUŎ was incredibly kind and helpful, guiding us through the menu and ensuring we had a memorable dining experience. This restaurant has now secured a spot in my top list for the area.
Service and hospitality were commendable. Truly a stupendous experience and environment. Our waiter Joe was extremely kind, helpful, and cheerful. Would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a relaxed area to enjoy some good Pan-asian (Thai, Chinese, Singaporean) food. Would absolutely come here again! Didnt take any proper photos but I snapped a quick one of some of the food.
What a fantastic little gem in Chelsea this place is! Came in on whim on a Sunday, the beautiful restaurant space and decor is so inviting and comfortable yet well designed. Every dish we had here was really fantastic, especially the crispy duck and the prawn curries and the egg fried rice. Amazing flavor, really decent portions, very very kind and attentive service. Toffee banana was a fab little end of meal treat, crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside. Thoroughly enjoyed this place and would absolutely come again!
As a mom with two young kids, I can’t recommend HUǑ London enough! It’s very convenient to reach – just a quick 10-minute bus ride from the Natural History and Science Museum, which makes it a perfect spot to relax and recharge after a busy day of exploring. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by a friendly, attentive team who went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and well taken care of. The ambiance is just right – elegant but relaxed, with a layout that’s surprisingly family-friendly. It’s such a relief to find a restaurant of this quality where children are truly welcomed and feel at ease. The food was the highlight for us. Each dish was full of flavor, made with fresh ingredients and a creative twist on classic Asian dishes. The variety on the menu meant there was something everyone enjoyed – even my picky eater! You can tell each plate is prepared with real passion. From the vibrant starters to the delicious mains, every bite was a treat. Overall, HUǑ London delivers on every level – fantastic service, a welcoming atmosphere for families, and food that’s both memorable and delicious. I’d highly recommend it to any family looking for a special dining experience in London!
The atmosphere was beautiful and the area was clean and cozy . Went with my mom and we both greatly enjoyed our meals . My personal favourite was the Thai red curry , the flavour was amazing and my second favourite would be the stir fried noodles. Our waiter was cheerful and welcoming , really complimented the restaurant’s vibe and overall we had a great experience.
Amazing food. Best I’ve had since moving to Uk 5 years ago. Great music, generous portions, loads of flavour
Delicious foood, absolutely loved the thai green curry and the pad thai, cannot wait to try more of their dishes. Lively and busy on a Thursday night. We also order at home and it never dissapoints
We celebrated our friends birthday yesterday at the place, it was my first time here. And we were pleasantly impressed with delicious food, service and friendliness. Special thank you to Andy, Spike, Boo and Nu for surprise birthday dessert and creating special atmosphere and providing great service. An evening to remember! We will be back!
Such a beautiful restaurant, great food and brilliant service. All of the staff was lovely and the food was delicious. Recommend the black bean asparagus.
Andy the waiter was completely charming, looked after all of us very well, and made some great recommendations. Delicious food. A great place to add to your little black book
You won’t find food tastier than this, the flavours and quality of each dish were sublime. Excellent service from Andy and his team, who also made my birthday extra special. Will definitely be visiting again.
Gorgeous food, great for gluten free vegetarian options. Lovely service, the interior design is brilliant. Would definitely come again.
Made reservations at Huo and had a nice table in the back with seemingly our own server. She was so attentive. Food was excellent - had the dim sum dumpling special to start, fried rice, asparagus with bean sauce, and moo shoo pork… so many choices for not the largest appetites tonight so three of us chose one item in addition to the special… we even had leftovers! Would come back again soon to try the duck, the fish, the spareribs, the spareribs or curry dishes, to name a few… this was a great place to come, just off the beaten path!
What a wonderful experience delicious food excellent service with nice ambiance
Some of the best Chinese food I've had in a while. The starters of spring rolls and gyozas were delicious and were a great way to start the meal. The best things were the chilli noodles and sweet and sour chicken, which were absolutely amazing. Great service and really great atmosphere.
We had yummy Peking Duck and they even brought a chocolate cake with a candle, singing for me as it was my birthday.. great place!!!
Seamless service & staff friendly and welcoming. Super chilled environment, with a lovely calming environment. Will be dropping by again 😊
Lovely stylish restaurant. The best Phad Thai we’ve had in years. Lovely dim sum too Thank you
Lovely food, amazing service! overall: great place! (especially for families).
Amazing food! Crispy chilli shredded beef was the best dish ever. Super nice staff too.
Absolutely loved this place! The food was bursting with flavour—every dish was spot on. Special thanks to Spike and Leroy for their excellent service; they were attentive, friendly, and made the experience even better. Highly recommended for one of the best asian restaurants in London! And finally thanks to Yam the Head Chef for the excellent food.
Popped in for lunch with a friend visiting from the US who was staying in the area. The restaurant gets the thumbs up from both of us (my friend is an interior designer and very hard to please) The food is well presented. Subtle flavours and a good variety of choices in the menu. A bit on the expensive side but perfectly justified by the tasteful interior, quick service and more than adequate portions. Overall what stands out is the impecable manners of the staff and a sense of calm and tranquility.
Great food and very friendly staff. Massaman curry is delicious!
Always great food, nice and quiet during lunchtime, but busy and lively (in the right way) during the evenings. Highly recommend
went here for lunch on Monday. friendly welcome , excellent value , really good filling food and service was prompt and courteous. When back in the area would return for dinner menu
Great restaurant with variety of delicious Asian dishes! It’s clean and the atmosphere is very friendly.
Divine dumplings - very cool designs The crispy beef was delicious, perfect crunch and flavour Service was incredible - fast funny fab
We celebrated my wife’s birthday last Friday with my teenagers. The food and service was amazing. Very dish was delicious and came out very quickly. The restaurant has a great atmosphere. It is my wife’s favourite restaurant now in London. Thank you HOU team look forward to coming back again soon.
If you’re looking for a cosy, clean, simple yet elegant pan Asian restaurant with delicious food, this is it. Solid service, wonderful atmosphere clean and lit well, comfortable seating. We went for the set menu and shared some starters (veggie gyozas and spring rolls), for mains we had Pad Thai (smaller portion but perfect for lunch) and a lovely fresh chicken pho which felt light and refreshing, warm and wholesome.
So happy to have found a relaxing restaurant with beautiful natural decor, lighting uncrowded tables where you can enjoy convivial conversations with your friends without having to shout at each other. Delicious authentic oriental fusion menu accompanied by warm, unhurried and considerate service from Ken & Andy. Recommend for a relaxing Sunday lunch. Dishes, Thai aubergine, sweet & sour chicken, green beans with spicy mince pork, wonton soup.
Throughly enjoyed our meal. Next time I won’t order everything to come at once the mains got cold a little fast. Duck salad delicious
Okay restaurant, food is fast to the table after ordering. The service could be a bit friendlier
My partner and I had a great dinner here last night. We had the ho fun noodles and massaman curry - both were very tasty! The only reason for 4 stars vs 5 is that the service charge at the restaurant is only 5% instead of the standard London 12.5%. You have the option to add an additional tip to compensate but can't imagine that this approach works out in employees' favor as it's not the standard practice in London. I have qualms eating somewhere where the staff may be underpaid and underappreciated. I hope they raise it to 12.5% in line with other establishments in the neighborhood.
Nice place, good food. Had a nice feel about the place & wasn't super expensive.
Overall good. Could’ve done with more check ins with the staff but the food tasted good, atmosphere was nice
Overall disappointing. Although the service was good, the food didn’t live up to its price point. Prawn dumplings were average. The crispy chilli beef wasn’t great at all, although the Singapore noodles were really delicious. Huo isn’t overly expensive but definitely better places out there. Don’t think I’d be go back.
We went there at 7:20 pm, food arrived quickly and was good, restaurant is beautiful. What I didn't like is the trap of still water versus tap water. Instead of asking us if we wanted tap water, he said still water and unfortunately we paid for a bottle of water instead of free tap water. I also didn't like that he gave us the bill/check as soon as we finished eating and it was only 8 pm, like literally trying to get rid of us as soon as possible to have a free table. Also put on service charge and if I had paid for it instead of my date I would have asked to take it off from the bill. Quite disappointed.
I had been before and wasn’t great but dog friendly so gave another try on 18/1 more disappointed I was told even tho restaurant empty to sit by the frt door cause of the dog? So sat with the deliveroo bikers ! In & out with cold weather the food I had spring rolls which are always good tried another tofu dish (as past was not nice) it was worse no tofu in the Pad Thai just loads of cold noodles not v nice at all so didn’t eat it the man on the door with deliveries was quite rude abrupt he asked why didn’t eat it explained no reaction not even oh woukd you like something else ? I stated to him no tofu . Paid £. 40.70 for a horrible meal & not really dog friendly? & sat in a draft in empty restaurant with deliveroo .
Went here with a group of friends on a Sunday, table booked for 8pm. From the very first contact with the waiter we felt rushed, we were told the kitchen would be closing soon. They cleared the table in a hurry and staff were tidying up and it looked like they would be closing for the day. Rude waiter. I had the tofu pho, I was not impressed but my friend enjoyed their food. I don't think I would be coming here again.
Super overpriced. Mediocre service. Average Chinese food. I would not recommend to come here at all. My rice came cold whereas my friends came nice and warm? Also, ordered calamari, only 6 pieces came which were rock hard, felt like pork scratching but 10x harder. Super unhygienic cutlery, wooden chopsticks? They accumulate loads of bacteria over time and should be disposable instead of reused. Also, fire hazard due to their candles being so small. Lastly, they only have one toilet available. Would not come back. The smallest portions for the price they want to charge.
I've been to Huo Belsize several times. I've recommended it to several friends over the last six months. My wife and I were there for dinner tonight. We ordered drinks. Sat for twenty minutes before our drinks arrived. We ordered dinner. It came out slowly. The appetizers were quite good, as expected. But that's where it ends. We ordered Crispy Duck. It arrived on a platter. It wasn't crispy, it was just warmed over. It tasted like it had just been reheated three days ago. 38 pounds of uneatable food. It pains me to write this review, but I have to be honest -- this was one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a restaurant.
Absolutely abysmal business practices from the management at Huo Chelsea. When we showed up for our reservation on Christmas day, the host let us know that the menu was a price fixe option only (~ 100£ pp). There was no mention on OpenTable (the reservation platform used) that the menu options were limited for that evening, and that cost seemed absolutely outrageous for what the customer was to receive. When we showed the host the OpenTable page and stated that we'd like to cancel our reservation given the lack of transparent communication on their site, the manager boldly refused and stated that the 100£ deposit was non-refundable, even given the circumstances. Upon multiple attempts to contact the restaurant directly to rectify the situation, we were blatantly ignored. Clearly this restaurant is more interested in making a quick buck rather than making sure their customers are happy. Would never return back.
OWNER DISRESPECTFUL TO STAFF Cannot fault dinner, fantastic food, service and ambiance. However an owner that only values their staff at 5% is not acceptable.
