I have been a customer of and freind of the original owner rocco of minitalia pizzeria since they opened up in the summer of 1979 in another location just a few short blocks away this pizzeria is as classic as it gets the pizza and all its munu items are consistent and always made to order fresh rocco has been a community staple and he and his wife bring good vibes and freindship to all of its loyal customers look if your pizzeria has been open for almost 45 years and still going strong you definitely must be doing something right ! you tried the rest now try one of the best come on in try a slice !

My daughter and i went to Funtopia, afterwards my daughter said she wanted a slice. I did a google seach and found Minitalia. It was great the people were friendly. I got a square; my daughter a pepperoni slice. We're definitely going back there again.

The crust was crisp! The sauce was robust and full of flavor! The toppings were generous, yet not excessive. It was slightly salty for my personal taste, but not so much that I didn't love the pizza. Whether by the pie or by the slice, it always tastes great! The gentleman who works the pies recognized me by my second visit. Cool folks! Best pizza in the area? I can't say since I haven't tried many others, but what I can say is I love this place and I dream about their garlic pizza.

I was born and raised in Ridgewood, and it was amazing living there. I miss it dearly. One of the biggest misses will always be Mini Italia Pizza. Rocky has been there for so many years and has been a great person to talk to and is an awesome cook. I miss the slices of Pizza, the garlic knots, the pepperoni rolls, hell I miss everything about this place. I live in VA now and wish they would come close to this type of Italian food. If I could order this food to be delivered to me here in VA I would be in heaven. I am glad to see a childhood restaurant still be here and striving in these times of change. Once I am able to visit my home I will definitely be in Mini Italia the same day I arrive to get my childhood favorites.

My go to pizza place in Ridgewood. Always consistent and delicious, and the owners are great. No complaints. Except maybe that they only take cash, which can be a bit of a pain, but not enough to give them less than 5 stars.

New owners, and a totally new, updated menu. The variety of slices and toppings is excellent, and the people behind the counter try to make sure you enjoy the experience. The pizza is on point!

I might be biased, but I've been coming here since I can remember. My dad refuses to eat chicken slices anywhere else. (They really are good though.) I personally love the onion and regular. The fresh moz is good too. Oh! And the chicken rolls. Go in there and tell rocky (owner) a bad joke. He'll love it.

Had to wait an hour for a large pie but let me tell you it was well worth the wait! Poor guy was making everything himself on a Friday night so obviously he was a little backed up.. will def be ordering from here again! can't wait to try the pasta

Meatball hero was very good. Meatballs were moist and well seasoned. Caesar salad was very fresh and had lots of grated parmesan cheese. Didn't need the dressing provided on the side. The personal size MINITALIA special was the best. Lots of slices of sausage, onions & peppers, meatballs and then plenty of pepperoni on top of all that. My complements to the cook. Thank you for an enjoyable Sunday meal.

I have visiting this location for 3 years and the owner is very pleasant and the pizza is delicious but every time I visit there he never has pizza pies ready so the customers are told that we have to wait 15 minutes that become 20 minutes. The counter is always empty there is nothing ready for purchase. This is not good customer service. He should have another employee to assist him and maybe then he will have food ready and customers do not have to wait so long especially on the weekends.

The owner is still the same but hired new employees that don't know how to spell jefferson....I thought I had wrong number so I googled it and called again now a guy answered in English and left me on hold and i just hung up. I hope the owner reads these reviews. Pizza is not the same. Last time I went the owner came too bad i don't have his number to call him he def. has to try and get other people.I,myself understand that people don't know the language and it's ok because my husband has issues with English but should not be answering the phone or do like call center does and pratice... practicing helps.This review might sound harsh but this issue will harm the business.It saddens me how I have to find a new pizzeria.

Miss you Rocky!!! I have been putting off reviewing since new workers took over because it’s been a rollercoaster of experiences. First of ROCKYS is a staple in the area-I grew up going here and now it’s my own kids who run around the place a few times a month. I knew the change would come with change to the food but I’ve been waiting and decided today was the day to say something. There have been a few issues that were resolved like burnt food - but today I noticed that MOST of the food was VERY “premade”. My pepperoni roll which is usually fluffy and cheesy and crispy, was flat and stiff and dry. Same for other rolls that were purchased during this meal. Doughy just tasted old. It’s slowly becoming just another “meh” pizza spot. There was a uniqueness about this pizzeria, family oriented and fresh fresh pizza! Please Rocky, don’t let this happen to such an amazing place. Love love love it here. This is why I still give 4 stars.

The pizza is very good, but the owner turned me and my gf away because we didn’t have a mask on in a very rude manner, didn’t even give us a chance to walk out and put one on. I was sorely surprised by the lack of the taste and preparation of the food. I have been enjoying food from this pizzeria for more than 30 years and I wonder if the owner is still making the pizza or the dishes. Is there new owners, because if there is, it is not worth the cost to eat here.

Asked for very well done crispy pizza. Received a soggy pie cardboard box soaked on bottom from weight, grease and sauce also pizza was cold and not even a little crispy. Cheese had slid off one side and was on the top part of the box. I do live very close, shouldn’t be the case. What a waste of time and money. NEVER ORDER FROM HERE. Pizza sucks. Worst pizza I’ve actually ever had. Complete trash.

Called to place an order, first person on phone asked me for my phone number 4 times , then put me on hold for 2 minutes and next person asked for my phone number 3 times , then told me it was too long of a phone number . Of your not sure how many phone numbers are in a phone number , how do you make pizza ?

Went there on a Friday afternoon and the place was empty - when I tasted my plain slice I could see why. I asked for a hot slice but it still tasted like it was leftover pizza from the past few days with a crust that tasted like cardboard......

I ordered a salad while at work. I suddenly had an unexpected family emergency and had to leave work, so I called to cancel the salad (which I never do), trying to still do the right thing, instead of just not going to pick it up and not calling. The Spanish guy that answered kept interrupting me not allowing me to explain and was extremely rude and disrespectful. I was never so insulted. This was my first time ordering and trying them and most definitely the last. Despite you’re a business, you should be professional but at the very least, that is no way to treat or speak to any other fellow human being unless you allow people to speak to you that way. It’s not like I was able to control an unexpected emergency that came up. Based on personal experience from this establishment, I now know for a fact, this is not the type of place I want to support with my money. Good Luck to you and your business. It certainly seems you’ll need it with that approach you take and image you portray to new customers….well not so much.

This used to be the best pizza spot in Ridgewood. No longer. The Pizza King Rocky has abdicated his throne and his once glorious pizza kingdom has become a land of Sbarroian mediocrity. I ordered a Sicilian pizza and what I received was an abomination, still raw at the center and twisted in form, puny and disappointing. I don't know if the new management has ever seen a Sicilian pizza before, but I am skeptical. It pains me to write this, but I can't let Minitalia rest on Rocky's laurels while serving up plates of chagrin. Please ignore the previous glowing review under my name that they have kept up inside the shop. It was made at a different pizza time, in a different pizza place, and I can't stand by it any longer.

I will start first by saying that I have eaten from here a handful of times and their food was always a safe option when I was in the mood for pasta or Italian. Unfortunately however I had such an awful experience with the quality of their food that I had to make sure it was made known so maybe whoever runs this place can make improvements. Today I ordered a penne ala vodka with grilled chicken. Please tell me from the picture if I received $6 worth of chicken here? No there was no chicken mixed in. This is the full amount given to me. I might as well not been given chicken. It is absolutely unacceptable to be given this pathetic of a portion. To make it worse, the chicken was barely seasoned and tasted so plain and dry that I had to season it myself. Next was the pasta. The texture was the only good thing. Otherwise, it tasted like it was watered down several times. Like when you the last 1/16 of your supply and add water to give it more volume? Now imagine that but adding water to it three times. It was awful. I get that a cook could have a bad day. I would rather that the cook called out and I had eaten nothing than to have eaten this waste of money. The second dish was similar but featured shrimp. The pasta was also weak and sad but because it was spicy, the spice made it tolerable. However receiving only 7 tiny shrimp was downright ridiculous. Again, just don't offer meat or protein if you are going to put so little effort into a dish. Add a note that says shrimp/chicken sold out. Something. I spent $51. I will still give them another try just because I am loyal but if they disappoint in such a massive way again, that will be why I kept this review up.
