Super Pollo in Ridgewood is a great restaurant, not just for chicken. The place is run by a lovely staff, always friendly and helpful. Sure, if you want roast chicken with yellow rice and beans, you will be very happy here. But also try the delicious Chuleta Asada Platter, grilled pork chop which is excellent. Most main courses come with a refreshing avocado salad. Wash it down with a house-made sangria ;-)

I just wanted to share that the food over here is absolutely delicious. Everything is fresh and has an incredible taste. Plus, the service was great! The waiter was really attentive and made sure our experience was enjoyable.

Best Rotisserie Chicken in Ridgewood Queens. The food is always delicious and the ambiance is amazing. They have outdoor seating and the street is not congested with cars allowing you to enjoy a quite outdoor dinner with the family or friends.

Clean and great food. The pernil was missing a little bit of flavor, but everything else was wonderful. Their green sauce is our home’s favorite hot sauce and they sell it by the bottle. Their lunch special is great and offers up a whole lot of food.

Loved the food, was a little more expensive then what I thought but after getting my food and taking the first bite I realized it was well worth it! The food was 10/10 whoever cooked it did so with experience and passion, so when I thought about it I've paid more for less and terrible food...I was very pleased with my experience, the atmosphere is very nice as well very clean and didn't smell weird like other places I've been to. I don't speak much Spanish so they had a woman working that couls help me! Definitely one of my favorite places in the area to go to.

Honestly . This place has always been my go to spot for meals and drinks for reasonable prices and big portions . The best is the lunch special deals. I get the carne asada with rice and beans and a side salad and it comes with a soda which is awesome . For like $15 bucks . Love it here ! And the people are always nice to be honest :)

Oh my god, where should I start with? The food was amazing, chips and house salsa was fresh, one chip with another, killed that basket within a minute. I ordered the Bandeja Paisa Chicharttom, it was AMAZINGLY delicious!! On top of that, their Sangria was the best I ever had in the neighborhood. Finally, the special house dressing, green & white, I am not sure the exact name for those dressing, but holly molly I would love to buy those dressing and use for all kinds of food, seafood, meat, even on the salad! They also deliver with their cute logo vehicle!

Very yummy food in a nice location with some outdoor seating. They have a full bar but were stingy on the tequila in the margaritas.

I went there with friends for a birthday celebration, and I must say it is a really nice spot. There’s indoors, patio and sidewalk seating. The workers are so friendly and they laugh with you, they’re so patient with orders and the food is amazing! I finished everything. I grew up in Ridgewood and never ate here until yesterday! Cute little ambience, I sat outside with my date and the waiters were super attentive! Inside they had good Spanish food playing. I ordered the chaulafan was which a huge portion and delicious, served in a hot pot and their house sangria. Whew chile that sangria was strong! The waiters were super attentive and nice and offered us free tequila shots after. I definitely recommend and would come here more often!!

Super Pollo has delicious chicken. Their menu isn't as huge as a typical Hispanic restaurant, but most of the food they serve, they make really well. Carne asada, bandeja paisa, Mariscos mixtos, they're all delicious. Outdoor seating is available, too. The decorations are nice and hint to South American culture. You can't go wrong with this place.

The chaulafan is excellent. This is an Ecuadorian variant of Chinese fried rice (the Peruvian version is called arroz chaufa). Comes with a generous portion of shrimp and plantains. Massive portion size and very delicious!

I hopped off the L train after another day of starving myself so that I can eat at least 2,000 calories at dinner. That’s just the way I like to move idk. My destination was Super Pollo in Ridgewood, as it is the most recommended chicken spot in my comments and DMs that I have yet to hit. After 9 stops and a brisk 13 minute walk, I arrived at the promised land. I got this tingly feeling when I saw a Smart Car wrapped in Super Pollo branding. “Super Pollo” was written in bold yellow lettering and there was an animated chicken with “SP” on his chest like a superhero. I’m really not a car guy, but this is my dream whip. Legendary. I walked in and got a table for 1 like a nerd loser, but these chicken reviews tend to be a solitary practice. I feel Van Gogh. I got the half chicken and 2 sides combo ($17) and a side of maduros ($6) for the city. On the surface, this chicken looked like one of the greats. The skin was perfectly golden brown and so crispy. It crackled when I touched it with my fork. However, I got trojan-horsed a bit. The bird itself was just a bit dry. It wasn’t so dry where it was killing me, but compared to the greats, it just didn’t have the same tender juicy meat. The green sauce was AMAZING and made it to die for, but you must judge a chicken pre sauce. Otherwise we are just judging sauce. It was very well seasoned though and had so much flavor. I thoroughly enjoyed this meal, and it’s still in my A-tier ranking for chicken spots. I’m just a rotisserie chicken snob at this point. 8.7/10. The chicken, amazing, never dry and always flavorful! The rice, super tasty and seasoned beautifully! Their house sauce is perfection and I highly recommend buying a bottle for your home! Welcome to a little slice of Ecuador. The roasted chicken is clearly the jam here as there was a constant stream of folks taking out and walking in to sit and enjoy these huge portions. The 1/4 chicken is a leg and a thigh roasted to perfection ultra juicy yet crisp skin. You can order a side with that (we got fries and maduros) all for $14. Each dish came with a side salad and chips an salsa to start. It hit the spot and was delicious. Yes this is one super chicken.

Im a super pollo customer for years, its close to my house, they always deliver fast, hot and its tasty. But have to give 4 stars because lately the portions are getting smaller and smaller. I recently ordered half chicken, it was very tiny and a bit dry.

At a local church we decided nafter service we needed a quick bite. We find this Cute lil'resturant conveniently located on a corner in Ridgewood Queens, with a sweet lil outdoor seating area, bar area with seating and a main dining area. Serving, well marinated chicken, steak & seafood. We sat by the bar area so it was more lively. We ordered drinks, meals - which were brought out hot, well presented and sizable portions Service was quick, staff was friendly & our drinks were tasty, from Margaritas to Mojitos, it was a nice evening spent with dear friends.

I hadn't been there in a long time, so I stopped by for a quick lunch with my mother. I appreciated how attentive the waitress was. The food was delicious, but the dessert (flan) did not appeal to me. Overall, a wonderful experience.

Ordered the B Combination, Combo Azuayo. It was absolutely delicious, and more than enough food for two. Probably perfect for 3 hungry people, or 2 and a kid. One whole chicken, accompanied by plantains, rice, beans, and an avocado salad. Everything was delicious, but I really think their beans are soooo good! It’s like a Mexican take on baked beans almost, but not sweet. So good! The lunch special prices are great, some of the stuff on the menu is a bit pricy though. Well worth it, I find that this is leftovers for tomorrow too.

The food is good, however on my last visit my group was charged for take out containers. ☹️ We also were told our party of 6 couldn’t request separate checks (3). We were told it should have been expressed in advance and so we divided the cost among ourselves but it definitely affects the customer experience. While my husband and I may go again I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant as a good experience for a group.

The food was good, I had the chicken with the rice & beans lunch special,but I felt extremely rushed here. I stopped in with my daughter, every time I looked up my waitress was looking at me I didn't really feel comfortable here. Then towards the end of my meal in the last half hour the waitress came over every 10 mins seemingly rushing me out even though the restaurant was completely empty besides 2 other people. The food was good. The service was lacking. What concerned me was that they added an 18% tip to the bill and I did not see it wrritten anywhere that was the policy and we were only 4 people. That is most likely not legal NYS. If you are not looking you will certainly double tip. So heads up on that.

Food ok, nothing special. They fry their empanadas and fries in the same oil they fry their seafood in bc I could taste a fishy aftertaste on my cheese empanada and fries. I was more annoyed because I just checked my receipt and noticed they automatically charged me an 18% tip for 2 people and then brought out a receipt for me to sign that had "PRE-TIP" amount listed next to the total, so I tipped again. Misleading and sneaky. @Julio - Why would you advertise that you add tip automatically for parties of 4 or more on your menu then automatically add tip for a table of 2? Also, why give a receipt for a customer to sign that says "PRE-TIP AMOUNT" when you've already added tip?

I paid 15 dollars for this and it's mostly rice, as anyone can see. It wouldn't have been so bad if it had flavor. It was all bland.

Their food is good don’t get me wrong. But recently their portions are getting very small. It’s not fair. Empanada was 2.75 for not even the size of my finger. I also ate there last week and they gave me a few spoons of rice and one small chicken with a peice of lettuce for almost 15$. It’s too pricey for small portions.

Ordered from children menu, the food was burned. This wasn’t the first time either. My daughter couldn’t eat any of it. Neither could I. Waste of money. I gave two stars because they used to make chicken tenders golden in color and tasted good.

I was a big fan of this place, the food is good. I used to order from here all the time, the pricing was a little steep but with the economy there really isn’t much cheaper alternatives. However me and my family decided to dine in. I have a baby and we got offered a high chair which we accepted and my husband wanted to place the high chair in between him and me because God forbid any hot food or beverages fall on him, which if you have kids you’d understand, and the waiter couldn’t be bothered with us and got annoyed that we tried to move the chairs and decided we weren’t worth a second of his time so he subtle but rudely slams the chair and and snaps at us saying “do whatever you want” (he said this in Spanish by the way)and then just walked away. This is our child’s safety we are worried about, you don’t have to understand it but you sure as hell have to respect it! And tip is included which I understand because there are people who won’t tip but you know you aren’t doing me any favors not only am I a paying customer but I’m also obligated by your establishment to tip you! I was furious and wanted to leave but my kids were hungry and honestly shuffling kids around when they are hungry is intense so we ate paid and left. Arguing with someone really isn’t something I do but after this interaction I lost absolutely every ounce of respect I had for this establishment.

The delivery service was dismal. I ordered on their app with a credit card and they charged a tip that I didn't authorize. I spoke to the manager who assured me he would rectify the situation which he didn't. I am disappointed because I thought I was speaking to a man who would keep his word. Watch your purchases when dealing with this establishment l have been a loyal customer since they opened many years ago and I will never order from them again and I won't recommend them. What a pity.

I’ve been coming here since 2013 . My most recently was 5/1/21 . I’m guessing after the pandemic hit they lost their touch . The food here use to be great and the drinks also . But now the food was disgusting . The arroz chaufa was my least favorite we didn’t even eat it . The flan was over cooked . My Red snapper that I ordered didn’t have any flavor . The drinks we ordered tasted like the cheap syrup you mix drinks with.

Understandable, unfortunately the manager is incredibly rude. I asked if I could have a fish burrito, and he said “NO! NO WE DONT DO THAT! NO, NO” with no recommendation or anything. When I asked if I can just avec the burrito with no meat then, same response. Ok. But then the person I was eating with ordered a rotisserie chicken and a side of guacamole to this manager. He said ok, then I saw him send another server back to us to tell us no we can’t get a side of guacamole. Only guacamole WITH tostones or WITH chips. Weird inflexibility again, so we got the tostones. #2 We make tostones all the time and have them at several restaurants. These were the most disgusting ones I’ve ever had. They’re not fresh (they taste heated up), there’s no salt on them, and they’re dry. DRY like I don’t know how it’s possible to have plantains with no moisture #3 the rotisserie chicken was dry, the only good part about it was the skin #4 the guacamole had absolutely no flavor #5 FISH- I got the breaded tilapia since everything else was being met with yells and flailing hands. This was so bad. So bad that there’s not much I can say. It tasted FREEZER BURNED. 😭 it was the worst fish I’ve ever had. It tasted distinctly like when you have fish sitting in the freezer for a long time and cook it, but that freezer burned taste can’t be removed. Completely not fresh, completely disgusting. Please avoid this place, I wish we didn’t come here. I’ve never not taken food home from a restaurant but this food was so bad I couldn’t eat half my plate. And then the same manager didn’t hesitate to express his annoyance with me for not taking the rest of the food home.

Ordered the 1/4 chicken with yuca. The chicken was bland and the yuca had mold on it. We told the waiter and he offered to change the yuca. Did not want to take another chance with moldy food. Not looking to get a free meal, there was no discount for the moldy food that was served to us. There’s better food in the area.

Every time a place like this starts to do well they become cheap or mistreat customers. I order from here all the time - the food is great but they always send a bunch of food with only one sauce. ONE sauce . I call & ask for extra I even offer to pay but the food is honestly average without the sauce. The sauce is what makes it great ! They act like it’s made of gold or something ! Then get annoyed when I call back to ask why they didn’t give me any- treat your PAYING customers better! Especially those who still choose to support you in this economy!

Absolutely unacceptable. We were charged $1.25 per to-go container simply because we didn’t finish our meal. That’s not just unreasonable — it feels predatory and unethical. Customers should never be punished for not finishing their food, and to add insult to injury, this charge was not disclosed anywhere on the menu or before we asked for boxes. If you want to talk about poor customer service and lack of transparency, this is it. Charging people extra to take home food they already paid for is disgusting and borderline illegal. I’ve supported many local businesses in Ridgewood, but this kind of behavior gives the entire neighborhood a bad name. Super Pollo, do better.
