My uncle took me here for lunch today. He comes here regularly, it’s one of his favourite places to eat. I’m totally in agreeance, The best soup I have ever tasted! - no lie. Seafood sausage and polenta is devine. Fabulous service. Coffee is excellent too.
Incredible service, food, and ambiance. Every minute we experienced was a Michelin Star level of service and cuisine
Stopped in for an appetizer and drinks, and it was lovely. Had clam chowder with sweet corn. Delicious
Food was elegant. Cozy restaurant feel.
Food was outstanding! Portions were perfect. 5 star highly reccomended.
Excellent food and very friendly staff. I’ve gone around 7-8 times and never once been disappointed with the meal. I’m glad it’s one of my local restaurants because I really enjoy going.
I don't think there is enough room here for me to write how fantastic this place is.. First of all everyone is very friendly and personable. The food not only tastes great but there is amazing presentation. There is also a large variety on the menu. A wonderful home atmosphere and the food is amazing. Highly recommended!
Great customer service and delicious food. They always make you feel welcome a d appreciated. Favorites arvthe arugula and duck confit salad and any steak dish, but really everything we've tried has been great.
The whole staff was warm and welcoming from greeting you, all the servers very attentive, piano player was very pleasant, along with staff thanking you for coming. Very appreciative for your business. Lots of effort to make a nice Valentines dinner.
The food was delicious! I cannot overstate how well the food was cooked! The waitress was so nice and the interior is so cute. I had a great time and plan to go back as soon as I am able!
Food was impeccable, what more can I say? Steak, cooked perfectly medium. Scallops, they melted in your mouth. Shrimp, soft as cotton candy. Don't pass by this amazing little restuarant because you'll miss out on one of the better table services that I've had the pleasure of experiencing!
Celebrated my daughter's birthday last September. Appreciated the tents set up for outdoor dining. It's in a pretty setting, country fields. The food was excellent
If you're looking for a truly unforgettable dining experience, look no further than The Harvest Moon Inn. From the moment you walk through the door, you'll be transported back in time by the old school charm and ambiance of this hidden gem. As you settle into your seat, you'll be serenaded by a talented pianist, filling the room with classic melodies that set the perfect mood for your meal. And speaking of the meal, you won't be disappointed! Portions could be a bit larger, but food is always tasty and worth another trip back.
The waiters and waitresses are always filling water, the piano playing is superb, and everyone these is lovely. I feel like it was a blast from the past or like I was on a historic field trip inside of the building. The bread came out hot and was so fluffy. I would love to go back
The Harvest Moon Inn was absolutely terrific and the perfect place for our Beltone business meeting! The food was delicious and the service was outstanding! I am most impressed by our waitress who was very attentive to my allergies. If I could give this restaurant more stars, I definitely would!! Looking forward to eating here again!
The steak sandwich is the best steak sandwich of any kind, anywhere. If anything, you should go to order this sandwich. My mother hosted my bridal shower here and it was fantastic. Always good service. We did outdoor dining last night and appreciated the social distancing both indoor and outdoor.
Where to start. They graciously hosted the repass for my brothers funeral and they nailed it. From the atmosphere to the tent outside, they played his favorite music, the food was excellent and the beer and drinks were cold and plentiful. On a normal day, I can say the same thing. Food is top top, the building dates back to the 17 or 1800s and they've done an excellent job of maintaining it. Stop in for a quick drink or bring a group for a great meal. And thank you to all the staff. You helped make the hardest day of our lives as easy as possible. 🙏
The Harvest Moon inn in Ringoes is a nice quaint restaurant and the food was excellent. We started out with the Arugula salad and for entrees we had the NY Stripe and Tuna. Both were excellent. Tara out waitress was very attentive and beyond nice. The best part was the pianist they have playing through out dinner. It added to the ambiance. I will go back for sure. And it didn't break the bank either. Highly recommend if you haven't been there before.
We held my grandparents 70th wedding anniversary party at the harvest moon this past weekend and it could not have been more perfect! Everyone was raving about the food! The custom anniversary cake was phenomenal and the owners were incredibly helpful and accommodating to my mother when planning the event. I would highly recommend the harvest moon for any special occasion.
Ate outdoors on Sat. Aug. 7, 2021, a beautiful summer night, arriving early before the crowds. Service was excellent. Wait staff was very attentive without being intrusive. We had Waldorf Salad, shrimp scampi, chicken breast, and strawberry mousse for dessert. Presentation was artistic. Food was very good, almost but not quite excellent, for example the scampi could have been seasoned better. The strawberry mousse dessert was beautiful and delicious. Nice wine list, too.
I don't even know where to begin... the tomato bisque was delicious.. I has crab cakes with spinach risotto. Was the best ever.... and I had the beef tenderloin sandwich that was super delicious. And the homemade chocolate ice cream and I had the cheese cake that was beyond delicious. The waitress sue was great and the food runner Jordan did a great job. Made our night out one of the best in a very long time. Thank you everyone that gave us a night to remember.
My husband and I got married here 2 years ago. It's a wonderful place for a small wedding (we had about 50 guests). The food is phenomenal and the staff are amazing! We have gone back last year and today for an anniversary dinner and both times they remembered us, asked how we were doing and were so sweet and friendly. The place is beautiful inside and out. Great place for a romantic dinner or a special occasion. They will make you feel welcome and the food will definitely not disappoint. It is delicious!
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner tonight. The service was impeccable - thank you Fernando! My husband loved the duck entree and I loved the tuna entree- both superbly prepared. My mother’s carrot cake is divine but Harvest Moon’s is even better! And finally, the salted caramel ice cream is simply one of the best desserts I’ve ever tasted. Thank you for a wonderful date night!
Somewhere you can bring the whole family or celebrate an anniversary and still have it all! Quality of food, service, atmosphere and a fair price point. Some people still hit on all cords, thank you Harvest Moon!
Excellent birthday experience. Theresa was a sweetheart making sure everything was perfect! Great bartender as well. Food was exceptional...pricey but worth it. Bravo Stanley....will be back for certain!!
Beautiful old inn with a fantastic staff. Our family ended up here for Thanksgiving and it was excellent! We did the traditional turkey dinners as well as off the regular menu. The tenderloins were delicious as well as the special turkey dinner!
We stepped into the restaurant and were cheerfully greeted by the hostess. We had a reservation for the dining room and were seated in front of a roaring fire. Christmas music played softly in the background. The atmosphere was perfect. Our server was attentive and we enjoyed our meal immensely.
A great place reminiscent of the older Ryland Inn in a lot of ways. The food selection is diverse and the quality has always been excellent -specials showcasing local ingredients are often available. Wine selections are also well suited to the fare. The bar has plentiful seating and is well-stocked. Service is always very friendly and attentive. Nice place for a private party or a romantic evening out sans the kids. Two dining areas available. Piano playing on certain evenings.
The Harvest Moon Inn is such a hidden gem. They went above and beyond for my grandparents' anniversary dinner, complete with celebratory messaging written on the dessert plates and the pianist playing their wedding song for them. The food was delicious, the setting felt historic and elegant, and the servers were so patient, helpful, and kind. Thank you a million times over for making this meal such a special memory for our family.
I went for Thanksgiving dinner with family. We were a larger party so had to order from the pre-fix menu. The soup came out warm (would have preferred it to be hot), but still tasted good. The turkey dinner was filling and delicious! I chose the glazed apple puff pastry which was good.
Very cute restaurant with an amiable staff. A nice bar with great food. However, the bathroom sink is not working so I would rather not think about all the unclean hands walking around this restaurant. At least provide some hand sanitizer, please.
Delicious meal in a beautiful old building. All the decor was perfect for the style of the restaurant. Cozy dining room and also a piano bar with extra seating. Will definitely go back!
My wife and I've been here a few time. The food is delicious. I do not have any problems with the food. The reason I didn't give it a full 5-stars is because of two things: atmosphere and beer/wine list. This is an old building. It reminds me of wife's grandmother's house in Maine. It certainly feels like there is some history. I like a more modern appearance. The wine list isn't terrible, infact it's pretty vast. However, my gripe is the lack of Sauvignon Blanc from the New Zealand area. Lastly, the beer selection could use more local breweries as well as some more session IPA's. Again, food is great, the wine list is vast (ultimately I did find a wine) and beer list isn't awful. I would go back again.
Was with a large party Saturday night. Our waitress was by herself and she had to handle taking orders, filling water glasses and bussing the 2 tables. They seemed short staffed. So service was slow but the food was great. We were in the Tavern room but the dining rooms with the fire places looked to be where we will eat next time.
I really like this place. Kind of in spite of itself. I've come here a long time because I used to work with the chef when we were at the Frog and the Peach in New Brunswick. The food is talented and classic, if not cutting edge. The decor and service is dated but feels comfortable and eager. The chef owner has been here for decades and there's a reason. It feels like family. Come. Enjoy. Relax. Don't expect flash. Expect a local, exceptional place.
My wife and I have eaten here on a few occasions and enjoyed our experience. It is a little pricey. The service is good and the food also good. One thing I ordered a,single scoop of ice cream for dessert $2.00. It was,a real tiny scoop not worth it. They need to give s larger scoop . Atmosphere is cozy in the tavern and more formal in the dining room.
Excellent hospitality. Great service. Good food. My only complaint is that it is not handicapped friendly. Both our guests, a couple in their eighties, have difficulty with steps. I did not see a ramp. I did not see a handicap space. Given the elderly population that eats here, I am surprised.
Hadn't been here in a while. And, considering the overall quality, I don't know why it took so long to come again. Cute atmosphere (although the piano was a little overpowering), terrific service (attentive, polite, friendly) and tasty food. We may add this to the "regular" stop list.
I haven't been to Harvest Moon in a few years. I also haven't dined in the formal dining room. The pianist is a nice touch, as always. The fireplace was going in the dining room, which was nice since each time the door opened some cold air blew in. The dining room needs an update - wallpaper is outdated. The appetizer selection was heavy on seafood. We decided to go with salads instead. I ordered the beef tenderloin and my husband tried the wild boar which was on the specials list. The waitress said it was like beef but more tender. That couldn't be further from the truth. The boar was served on the bone and was very tough to cut and had a lot of fat. The beef tenderloin, however, was perfect. I wouldn't get the boar again though. We had creme brulee and a pumpkin ice cream sundae for dessert which were both enjoyable. Menu needs more variety in appetizers - try less seafood. The service needs the most work. The hostess and bartender were professionals, but once you sat down, the wait staff is very young and it shows. No fresh ground pepper on salads or entrees! No wiping away crumbs between courses! For the prices at Harvest Moon, the servers should be going the extra mile and it wasn't just our server, they all were the same. I would go back but maybe in the Tavern next time and hope they improve their service.
Food was very good, nice atmosphere by the fireplace. The service, however, was awkwardly slow. Easily 45 minutes between courses. Dessert took 30 minutes to arrive. Might want to avoid peak periods.
main course really good, however eating in the tent not comfortable as it was very hot, then cold. other complaint was soup served luke warm and arrived in a cardboard cup as was the salad my wife ordered.also paid 40.00$ for steak dinner but had to pay$1.50 for a small dinner roll. never in my 70 years had i ever had to pay for bread.not what i expected from a supposedly upscale eating establishment.
A restaurant with mediocre food, poor service, high prices for food quality - and an attitude. Celebrated hubby's birthday here with family - notation of special event made on reservation. Service was disjointed, food mediocre with a chef who clearly tries too hard to be trendy, sacrificing quality for presentation. And no follow-up on birthday special event. We know quality food and have Continental palates, traveling extensively and often. Harvest Moon is way too full of themselves, neglecting customers and food for style. We will not return.
Did not live up to the hype for me. The pasta was served hard, not el dente, but hard. The sauce tasted like it was from a jar. The butter for the bread was unsalted and just made the FANTASTIC bread taste bland. I was under whelmed by the dessert, which was a peanut butter brownie, that was kinda hard. It was on the pricier side and I wasn't really satisfied. Certainly not worth the journey for us, but I can understand how the atmosphere would draw people in.
Nice looking place inside. They have someone playing the piano inside, which I found obnoxious. I guess if that's your thing, sure.. Got two apps and an entre to split. I went with my fiancée. They gave us 3 raviolis and 5 egg rolls. I guess they don't know how to count.. Regarding the entire, we got braised lamb. It was cooked well but they apparently never heard of seasonings such as salt or pepper. Great if youre a old person that can't handle flavor. Not to mention it's pricy. The service was good, though.
1. Heinous decor, if you’re younger than 60 you will vomit when you see the ugly drapings that match the ugly wallpaper. Truly vile. 2. Zero vegan options. It’s 2024, why is the only vegan option a salad???? Make a singular pasta without dairy in it…. Please. It requires minimal creativity. Perhaps a mushroom burger? 2.5 olive oil tasted like it was super diluted with canola oil. If you’re paying for a nice dinner please don’t cheap out on olive oil. 3. Piano Mann was skilled but maybe let’s choose some more modern tunes (and quieter ?) 3. Service was okay, many errors were made. 4. V pricey
Dangerous! Do not eat here! Previous review was suspiciously removed from trip advisor so I'm posting here. Recently ate here with my wife and there was a 1" shard of plastic in her second bite of mashed potatoes. She could have choked or cut her mouth! We were told it was from the container that they kept it in. They didn't even comp our whole meal despite us leaving immediately! Only her meal and one drink. Will never eat here again! P.S. They served the bread with unsalted butter, which was a first for us. We asked about it out of curiosity and they said it was a "high end restaurant thing" and to "salt it yourself". Very strange, as we've been to plenty of more expensive places than this.
I was reminded telling someone this story, and I forgot to leave a review of my experience in October. We made a reservation on Open Table weeks in advance for a special dinner with my wife(babysitter hired for the night so we could relax and enjoy). We received a text earlier in the day confirming our reservation. Then we got a call 45 minutes before our reservation unapologetically saying that we no longer have a table. I understand that things happen, but we most likely will not be trying to plan a night around going here in the future. A suggestion to future guests who make a reservation on open table: call the day of your meal and make sure they actually have a table for you!
At first this place seems nice and the menu looks appetizing but once you’re there you can see and hear the animosity between the owners and the staff which leads to an awkward dining experience. Let’s just say the owners are very unpleasant to their staff and treat them poorly in front of customers. The waitstaff was very kind and professional, you could tell they are very understaffed and overworked. Oh and even better one of the waitresses was talking about how there were maggots in the potatoes. Will definitely never be going back to this place.
We ordered a dish they recommended, at 6pm, and they came back to say they no longer have it, they recommended another one and what a wonder – they didn’t have it either. After more than an hour, as we complained, the dishes arrived – most of them cold. The Owner/Manager became aware of the issue, yet didn’t offer a discount, nor free drinks, and even didn’t bother coming to just apologize. Highly un-recommended frustrating experience.
Very sad! Food is very simple, no taste! Quality of food poor! Price for dinner pretty high for special meal but test was really bad not salted at all and vegetables on the side was frozen, NOT fresh! And cappuccino was just disgusting!! Even trying to talk to owner very nicely to let her know that I wasn't happy with my meal, her answer was rude ( she laughed and said that her husband is chief of that restaurant , she knows that he cooked very good), that was real her answer. No apologize at all! And they charged $50 for meal and full price for coffee "fake cappuccino"! NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL!!!
