The food has never failed to be excellant, with fully satisfying flavor. The high quality is evident in every dish. I have enjoyed various steaks, and seafood, and every dish has been outstanding. I adore the scallops💖💖💖 Sides are nothing special but go straight to dessert and it more than .makes up for the sides. Lastly, the service is integral to the overall experience and you won't be sorry. This place makes me feel like a queen, it is my special treat to myself to dine here.
As expected in a Saturday night on December qw wouldn't get a table. 300 reservations they had but hostess was so kind and amazing and offering as to sit in those living rooms they have and we were served better than in a table, great appetizers, drinks and of course conversation. We will come back for another night like this...
Came to the Mission Inn for Beyond Wonderland EDM festival... Stayed in the huge dome Presidential Suite for three nights, awesome. Ate by myself before friends arrived... food and service were excellent... I'm coming back this Saturday with my boyfriend and am thinking about stopping by again for dinner... Either here or the Mexican Restaurant...
Stumbled in this place during my afternoon walk. Grateful to the host for letting me grab a quick bite, even though I wasn’t quite dressed for the occasion. That being said, location is neat, inside a historic building, decore to match. Had the 16oz Ribey, with a side of Truffle mac and cheese. bearnaise sauce. All tasteful, well presented and served quickly. Top notch service. I was solo for dinner and the team made sure to check on me often. Next time I’m in riverside I’ll come back to try the Tomahawk steak!
We had a delightful time.Sunday Brunch was so decadently tasty. Loved the salt water pool, Kellys Spa. Poolside entrees, esp the chicken sandwich. The food at Las Campanas was good. Very crowded during The Festival of lights. Go and have a chat with Their gorgeous talkative feathered friends. Do stay at one of their rooms, 3rd floor view is so charming.
Absolutely incredible doesn't describe tbe experience here at Duane's. Upon entry you see the awe inspiring painting, it is a monumentous piece of art that immediately demands your attention. The staff is top notch and genuinely care about giving customers the best experience possible. The seating is very comfortable and gives you a at home feel. Now the food. They started me with a crustini topped with an olive toppinade, fresh bread and sparkling water. My waitress (Sabina) was extremely knowledgeable about the wines and made an excellent reccomendation. I ordered the Filet and Lobster with mushroom risotto. The steak was cooked to absolute perfection. The risotto was to die for. Lobster was de-shelled and served with drawn butter. I have absolutely zero complaints and will be coming back every time I visit
Delicious. Perfect. What more can we say? The service, Mario was fantastic! Great service, some laughs and great suggestions from Mario.the dinners perfectly cooked to order. Oh and that little tomato our steaks - OHMYGOSH! What a lovely surprise. Desserts, we did not share and enjoyed them completely!
Duane's Steakhouse demonstrated excellent service and exceptional dining. I was impressed by not only my servers, Mario and Juliet, but also by the level of quality coming out of the kitchen. My seared diver scallops with corn puree, corn succotash, faro, and chili oil were absolutely divine! The scallops were cooked exquisitely, loaded with flavor and melted in your mouth. The meats, a 12oz New York strip Oscar style and Colorado lamb chops were down right magical. They were perfectly pink inside and seared with a glorious, crisp outside. The lamb was my favorite of the two with a meaty, generous serving size. The béarnaise sauce and king crab legs on the steak were also outstanding. I also enjoyed a tasty blackened swordfish to accompany the New York steak, creating a delicious surf n turf experience. My dessert consisted of a beautifully presented cheesecake that I gleefully finished. My stand out compliment would be to Juliet, who noticed I was cold and offered to bring me a blanket from the hotel to ease my discomfort. Once I accepted, she promptly returned with a blanket and proceeded to neatly fold it and wrap me up in it so I could enjoy my dinner. That's what I call going above and beyond! Great experience here last night. I used to manage restaurants and this was one of the best meals I've had in a long time. My wife and I shared the burrata, and then the ribeye with scallops. Everything was cooked to perfection. Perfect service. Wonderful ambiance. 10/10 would go again. Make sure you get a reservation!
I must say if it wasn't for Adrian It'd be 3 stars instead of 5. This guy was all over the place and still made the time and effort not to forget about us. As much as having Mario be our waiter, we didn't see much of him. The food was great. I'd have to say those scallops were a hit 10/10 👌😋 The Macaroni Lobster 🦞 was okay, yet the Swordfish was also a Win. Don't order the baked potato it Sucked.... Again Because of Adrian I will be coming back.
Definitely one of our favorite places to enjoy a nice mean. My husband and I frequently this place at least a few times a year. Highly recommend this place
It was my boyfriend’s 25th birthday and we decided to celebrate at Duane’s. It was a very romantic atmosphere. The service was wonderful, as well as everything we ordered. Thank you Duane’s for a beautiful experience, we will definitely be returning!
Alisa, our server, was an absolutely incredible individual that went above and beyond to make our evening truly exceptional. We shared that we were honoring the memory of a loved one who passed away 5 years ago. She was so supportive, offering encouragement and condolences throughout our meal. We shared personal stories and I felt as though she could easily be family. She made our night truly memorable 💕
Really romantic and upscale. The food was delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly and the sides were great. Do not pass up the opportunity to taste the truffle Mac and cheese. It's amazing. The service was great and attentive.
I'm usually pretty picky with “Steakhouses” these days, but Duane's is the place to go for some good steaks. We started with the amazing crab cakes as appetizers (perfect consistency). For our mains, the steaks (I got the 16oz ribeye) were cooked a perfect medium rare, and the classic Steak Diane was exceptional. Our server, Dean, was awesome; he had perfect timing, kept our drinks refilled and checked on us at all the right moments (not neglecting guests but also not being too pushy). The food was flawless and the service was top-notch. We'll definitely be back. Very nice high-end steakhouse worth the money. 5/5.
FINE dining at its best. Reservations required. Dress Code. Does have a bar and lobby area to enjoy cocktails before dining. Beautiful ans elegant atmosphere. Supreme service. Well worth the money. Nothing on the dining menu is a bad choice. Partial validation for valet parking.

I want to share, first of all, that when people enter the world of fine dining, they are not entering a world of personal catering in which the establishment can deviate from its existing model to the point of breaking. In the menu, there are various steak options, each cooked differently for an optimal experience. Steak-eating as a lifestyle would provide a foundation for an unbiased review. Otherwise, occasional steak consumers might be biased because of a lack of experience. The same theory holds for the service. Interesting point: in a group setting at a fine dining establishment, some people at the same table will give a one-star rating, while others will give a five-star rating. Same establishment, same food, same waiters, same atmosphere. What's the variable? The variable then becomes the individual's expectations. In conclusion, Duane's Prime Steak and Seafood gets five stars across the board, in my opinion. We had the fillet minion, the tomahawk, and the bone-in ribeye.
I made a reservation for my 30th wedding anniversary. It was our first time eating at Duanes. I ordered the New York steak and my husband had the Rib bye bone in. Food was seasoned and cooked to taste and drinks were excellent (painkiller and red sangria). We enjoyed our night out. Lucy Haag

My wife and I had a really great time at Duane's when we went for our anniversary. I ordered the New York steak house special, and it was excellent. The mashed potatoes and the peppercorn sauce were unbelievable! But my wife wasn't as happy with what she ordered. She got the filet mignon à la carte, which the steak itself was fantastic, but then she ordered a side of the lobster mac and cheese, which was quite honestly the most lackluster mac and cheese we've ever had, especially for a $38 item, It should have blown our socks off. If it wasn't for that, this would have been a five-star review. (When we go again, my wife is going to get the house special for the filet, that comes with corn and sauce and such, and not just a steak a la carte) The waiting staff was absolutely stellar. Very friendly, very informative and accommodating; we loved our waiter. And they kept bringing us bread and they were on top of it for the water refills, it was a fantastic experience.
We came to Duanes on a Tuesday night. I was given a gift card for my birthday. We were seated quickly as it was not busy that night. The service was great. The atmosphere was nice. The food was good. I gave 4 stars because I think it is overpriced. Yes the food was good; however, I can get food of the same quality for much less. Our bill was $300 for 2 people. I probably won't go back because it's just too much money to spend for dinner.
Nice restaurant steaks are cooked on the grill finished in the oven. Tender and tasty and with a lobster tail you can't go wrong. Nice to eat in a restaurant like a free human being --Los Angeles I am talking to your insane self- friendly staff nice drinks plenty of bars just the way I like it. Check out the shrimp cocktail for an app. Delicious
Reservations are not required, but highly recommended. They take reservations through Open Table and charge for no-shows. I absolutely loved my dining experience, but the fact that my party was on time and still had to wait to be seated regardless of my reservation is annoying at best. Located in the historic Mission Inn, Duane's has an incredible atrium and bar/waiting area leading up to the main dining room. Decor is classy and vintage. Out of all the steak houses I've been to, this is by far the nicest in terms of ambiance and decor. While we were waiting, we saw a number of people greeting hosts and servers with familiarity; I can only draw the conclusion that there are a number of regulars here, and I can see why. The food is very good! Service was prompt and our host, Dean, was great! Our drinks and appetizers arrived in reasonable time. Everything on the menu that we sampled was perfect; fresh and cooked to perfection. I strongly recommend the Steak Diane and the Crème Brûlée. Both are immaculate.
Had the Wagu steak, the Rib eye steak, the Salmon, crab cakes, mushrooms, and drinks. All the food and drink was good but the cost was excessive. Averaged $200 a person. I feel I've gotten same/better quality elsewhere, without the excessive cost.
Food is a little above average. Nothing to rave about. Been to many great steakhouses in my time all over the world. They also overcooked my cousins steak. Very expensive for the quality of food. But the service was phenomenal. Our waitress (forgot her name) was so impressive. She made sure my cousin got a whole new steak when the chef overcooked her first one. Ambiance is very old school and dark. Feels like you're eating inside a castle. Drinks were the best part 👌 strong and delicious! Dessert was great too!
Food, service and atmosphere was outstanding! My ONLY complaint is the price....the prices are rising so frequently that it's headspinning...and I'm afraid they are going to see a drop in numbers of patrons. We can afford it, but we still think that the prices are ridiculous....no reason to be stupid with your money even if you can afford it.
We came here for our anniversary dinner and overall had a wonderful experience. The ambiance was warm and inviting, perfect for a special evening out. The food was great, although the bone-in ribeye wasn’t quite to our liking at first. Thankfully, the staff was very accommodating and quickly replaced it with a bone-out version that we really enjoyed. There was a bit of a lapse in service when our waiter forgot about us for a while, which was a little disappointing. However, the overall experience more than made up for it, and we would definitely come back again.
Capped off a great day at the Mission Inn with a late night dinner at Duane’s. We had a late lunch at the Mission Inn restaurant and enjoyed the bar, decor and hotel long enough to get hungry again. We put our names on the wait list and waited until almost 9pm. Very few guests left and not sure all the staff that remained appreciated the late seating, but were pleasant enough. You could tell it was a long day/evening for most, but was understandable. Had a great rib eye steak. One of the best I’ve ever had, which was a surprise based on reviews, but I know what I like and it was great. The lobster tail add on was just ok and thought the Caesar salad was overpriced but good. Definitely enough food for two as we had leftovers for the next day. Definitely worth a try if in the neighborhood. Almost an hour drive for us, so have to limit to holidays or when passing through, but really capped off a great day/night at the Mission Inn.
Had dinner here with a group of six. To say this place is pricey is an understatement but you do get value for your money. Overall the servers were nice and attentive though we found after placing our drink orders, they vanished for quite some time though we were ready to order apps and entrees. Our cocktails were nice and priced for what you'd expect for a place like this. I was quite fond of the Pain Killer. For apps, we ordered steak tips, crab cake and escargot. The steak and escargot was easy to share but we only got 1 large crab cake so we had to split it ourselves. Overall it all taste good. For my entree I ordered the Filet with peppercorn sauce with mashed potatoes on the side. At $75, the filet is one of the most expensive I've had especially for 8oz. I was a little thrown off with the side of potatoes as the server mentioned it as if it were included rather than an add on. As for taste, I would say the Filet was tasty and well made. It was tender, juicy with a decent char. The peppercorn sauce was lacking the pow factor I like in peppercorn. It was a bit on the citrusy side. Overall a good filet but hardly worth the $75 price tag. Its probably a good deal at $50. The mashed potatoes were smooth and tasty. Add a little pepper on top and they were a dream. Definitely think its a sharable portion. We didnt get dessert but the selection seemed solid. Thr atmosphere of the resteraunt was quite good. If you get a good seat, you can enjoy murals from the original sections of the inn. I would recommend trying Duane's if you have the budget and happen to be in the area.

Hmmmm... It's a very nice restaurant but the question is: Is it that much better than the regular restaurant on the patio at the Mission Inn? I don't think so. Don't get me wrong. The food was excellent. The service was good, but not what I expected. It wasn't that much better than the other restaurants on the property. Perhaps the biggest shock was the decor. I expected crystal chandeliers and an extremely elegant atmosphere. It's no different than anywhere else at the Mission Inn. That means, it's beautiful but nothing beyond anywhere else on the property. So my bottom line is... If you want to make it a special occasion place, go ahead. But you'll get similar food and service at the other restaurants at a fraction of the price. Oh, and by the way... Everything is a la carte here meaning sides, salads and everything else is extra. Just an FYI.
Excellent ambiance, good food and good drinks. Great at Christmas time. I had the rack of lamb and lobster. Very good! UPDATE 5/30/24 Went there for dinner again because of our great experience the first time. What a disappointment. The lobster bisque was really fishy and we sent them all back. The food took about 45 minutes to hit table from the time we ordered it. Three of us ordered steaks and two of them were overcooked. We sat there for so long we didn’t even bother with dessert. Really upset with a dinner of that quality when spending top dollar. We won’t return.

We celebrated our 45th anniversary at Duane’s last night. The wait staff was excellent. The food not so great. My husband had jumbo shrimp cocktail, Cesar salad and lobster tail. The shrimp and lobster were tough, salad just okay. I ordered a Stoli gimlet up with olives. It took three times before the bartender got it right. First served on ice, second served with lime no olives and finally up with lime and olives. My escargot was cool and very small, Cesar salad just okay and seared tuna steak very tasty but not even warm. After spending over $300 I would give our overall food experience a 6 of 10. Dissatisfied
Cool place. Got Cesar salad and escargot to go. Salad tasted like milk on lettuce. The escargot taste was bland but okay but it came cold. The dinner roll was the highlight of the order.
Great-looking place, but not as upscale in execution as they seem to think. The steak was overcooked and dry. The sides were average, and the roasted mushrooms were overcooked. Priced well above the quality and overall experience.
Duane's at the Mission Inn has been a favorite special occasion place for years. Unfortunately, last night I was there with friends (there were five of us). One friend got food poisoning. Only one of us enjoyed their meal. The food was not well prepared. I had luke warm French Onion Soup, an overcooked lobster tail, and although the green beans almondine and the carrots were good, the remaining vegetables were just so-so. Our waitress was nice, but we had to ask other wait staff to get her on more than one occasion. In speaking with friends about this, I learned of at least one other recent food poisoning incident and a unanimous agreement that the food quality has been slipping lately. Unfortunately, it may be time to find a different "special occasion" restaurant. Very disappointed.

Oh my goodness where to begin. Our dinner was absolutely terrible. We learned there were 2 new chefs in training, since the main chef was out. We arrived at 7pm and our dinner was served at 10pm. And when we got our food, two of the steaks were so over cooked they were not edible (we ordered medium). And my chicken was absolute rubber. And the sides were cold. The manager apologized and said of course he would comp the meals, but then when the bill arrived he took off 20% and we had to call him back to the table. Dishonest. Terrible overcooked food. Disorganized. Didn’t eat until 10pm. Bad management. Ruined night.
The Worst “Fine Dining” Experience I’ve Ever Had From the moment we walked into Duane’s , this dinner was a disaster. We asked for a highchair immediately because we had a toddler with us. We had to ask multiple times before anyone bothered to bring one. That was the first red flag. Next, we requested a gluten-free menu because our son has celiac disease. Not once. Not twice. Three times. No one ever provided it. Instead, our waiter shrugged and told us he “thinks most things are gluten-free.” That casual ignorance toward a medical need is unacceptable and dangerous. Then came the food, after TWO HOURS of waiting. We were a large family gathering, and not a single one of the nine steaks was prepared correctly. At that point, we asked to speak with a manager. We waited another 30 minutes just for the manager to show up. Enter Lena, who was hands-down the worst part of the entire experience. Instead of listening or trying to help, she questioned every detail, dismissed our concerns, and refused to take accountability. She made excuses, argued, and acted like we were the inconvenience. There was zero professionalism, zero empathy, and zero effort to correct the situation or make it right. Duane’s may want to be seen as fine dining, but their service, food, and management are nowhere close. This was one of the most frustrating, disappointing dinners our family has ever had. Do yourself a favor and dine somewhere that respects its customers. See pictures, these steaks were ordered as medium.
My family and I had a dinner reservation and were looking forward to our annual holiday visit—we’ve been coming here for years and have never experienced anything like this. After being seated, we placed both our drink and food orders. It took 45 minutes just to receive bread, and nearly two full hours before any of our food arrived. During that time, the only thing offered to us was additional bread to “hold us over.” At most casual restaurants, a wait that long would come with some acknowledgment—an appetizer, a discount, or at least proactive communication. We received none of that. When the food finally arrived, every steak at our table was significantly undercooked. Medium well came out medium rare, medium rare was rare, and so on. The ribeye pictured was ordered medium rare but was clearly nowhere near that temperature. What made the situation worse is that after expressing our concerns, we were offered no apology, no compensation, no dessert, nothing to make up for the experience. For a place we’ve supported for years, especially during the holidays, this was extremely disappointing. Unfortunately, this visit has made us reconsider returning in the future.

My family has been going to Duane’s for years, and it used to be one of our favorite places. The service was always great and the food consistently incredible. Unfortunately, the past two years have been a steady decline, and after tonight, we won’t ever be returning. From the moment we sat down, everything was an issue. We asked for a high chair three separate times, didn’t receive enough menus, had missing waters, and they never even took our drink order. Our food took 1 hour and 50 minutes to come out, and when it finally did, not a single steak was cooked correctly. They were so undercooked we couldn’t even cut into them—maybe 120–130 degrees at best. When we raised our concerns, there wasn’t even a manager on site. They had to call someone in, and when she arrived, she was dismissive, unhelpful, and honestly made the situation worse. For a restaurant with Duane’s reputation, this was shocking. The bathrooms were also a mess—the women’s was closed entirely and the men’s was disgusting. My family has loved Duane’s for years, but something has seriously changed. Whether it’s new management or a complete lack of standards, this place is no longer what it used to be. At this point, you’d get better service and better food at Chili’s. We won’t be back.
My family and I have been coming to Duane’s for years, and the food has always been the reason we returned. Unfortunately, this year’s experience was so shockingly bad that we will never be coming back! The quality of the food has taken a massive nosedive. When our steaks finally arrived after TWO HOURS, they didn’t look or taste anything like what we’ve always been served in the past. The cuts were different, the presentation was sloppy, and the seasoning was practically nonexistent. Every steak at our table was bland, barely seasoned, and cooked to the completely wrong temperature. Medium orders came out red and cold in the middle, and the rest were just as inconsistent. It was honestly embarrassing that a place known for its steaks would serve something this poorly prepared. We’ve had good meals here over the years, so to receive food that looked rushed, undercooked, and flavorless was a huge disappointment. What makes it worse is that nothing was done to try and fix the situation. No apology, no acknowledgment, nothing. For a restaurant that used to pride itself on quality and consistency, this was beyond unacceptable.
Bad bad bad. We had a horrible experience and this felt like a scam for money. I had to repeat several times my order and everyone was confused and unorderly. It didn’t seem like the staff talked to each other as I would request one thing from one and on from another and I never got my food items. This is a disgrace to a once good restaurant. We got an apology from the manager about my service experience without any sense of care or trying to accommodate to us. This was actually so long and didn’t taste great and the service was bad. What else can I say. They don’t know what’s going on in the kitchen at the tables or among each other. I used to love this place but I can’t do this again
My family and I are extremely disappointed to write this review after what was supposed to be our annual pre-Christmas dinner at Duane’s Restaurant, a tradition we have maintained for over 11 years. Unfortunately, this year’s experience was so poor that it completely ruined our Christmas celebration, and we will not be returning. The service was unacceptable from start to finish. Our food took nearly two hours to be served, despite repeated polite inquiries. When the food finally arrived, several items—most notably the steaks—were not prepared as requested, and attempts to have them corrected were delayed or ignored. Additional table requests, including drink refills, a child’s high chair, a gluten-free menu, and correction of undercooked steaks, were either significantly delayed or not addressed at all. The most troubling aspect of the evening was the conduct of Lena, the manager on duty. When we calmly attempted to address our concerns in a reasonable and respectful manner, her response was unprofessional and disrespectful. Rather than working toward a resolution, she called security guards, which felt unnecessary and intimidating. At no point were we rude or confrontational; we were simply trying to communicate legitimate service failures as paying customers. Despite the extensive delays, incorrect food preparation, and the distress caused by management’s handling of the situation, no compensation or acknowledgment of responsibility was offered. As a direct result of the restaurant’s delays, we were forced to pay additional charges for our limousine, which had to wait an extra hour and a half. This experience was profoundly disappointing, especially given our long-standing loyalty to Duane’s and the Mission Inn as a whole. What was meant to be a special family tradition was instead marked by frustration, embarrassment, and unnecessary expense. Regrettably, this visit has permanently ended our patronage.
