Great home style Italian dishes. Many options for lunch/dinner including apps/dessert. Always busy but have ample staff to take care of their customers. The manager is always engaging, polite and professional. Chicken Marsala and Piccata are excellent. Summer salad 🥗 is our go to salad. Delicious!

Celebrating my 58th birthday with my family, we walked in to Mamma Mia’s and the ambiance was very nice. The food was excellent and service was superb! Our server Greg was great and knowledgeable about the wine, cocktails and menu items. We started with the garlic cheese bread and the Mia arugula salad which was delicious. The entrees were hearty portions and cooked to perfection. The short rib was so tender and flavorful, shrimp scampi had a good amount of colossal shrimp and Fruitti Di Mare had nice medley of seafood with slightly creamy sauce made with fresh ingredients. Not to mention the calzone was huge and bursting with flavor. Tiramisu was so good, I bought a piece to take home. Definitely the best Italian food so far in the Inland Empire, we will be coming back and telling friends and family about this little gem. 💎

I had a great experience at Mamma Mia in Riverside. The Fettuccine Alfredo was rich and creamy, and the Spaghetti had a really fresh, homemade flavor. The Chicken Pizza had a perfect crispy crust and just the right amount of cheese and toppings. The Beef Lasagna was hearty and flavorful—definitely a standout. I finished with the Tiramisu, which was light, creamy, and absolutely delicious. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Stopped here for a late lunch. The host Travis had a great attitude and made great recommendations. The service was timely and the wait staff, attentive. The appetizers and entree were amazing. The bread pudding was excellent. Overall a great experience. I recommend for a date night or celebrating a special occasion.

First time here & definitely not my last. I have driven by for years & never stopped in to eat. Service is outstanding & so is the food. Booths are large & can accommodate up to 6 I that. Parking is kinda tight depending on timing. They do charge for use of Credit card.

I love this restaurant! Take your time if you are going on a weekend. We were a large group of 8 so it was slightly harder to accommodate us, but it was worth it. Even as we waited to be seated they were attentive. The waiter came as soon as we were seated and food shortly after. We ordered a pizza, lasagna, Mia's pasta, a salad and a Marsala chicken. Everything but the salad was 5 stars. The salad was good just not my flavors. If there's a con it's the outdoor smell coming from the drain and the dirty look. We were seated outside for around an hour and the smell was killing our vibe. The outside area was dirty, the trashcan was overfilled, the floors need pressure washing. Once you go inside it's totally different, very clean and romantic.

The warm, dim lighting and soft Italian music in the background created a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for an intimate dining experience. Our waitress was exceptional—attentive, prompt, and genuinely friendly, ensuring our meal went smoothly from start to finish. For my meal, I opted for the summer salad, a refreshing medley of crisp greens, juicy tomatoes, and a light vinaigrette that quickly became my favorite dish of the night. My wife chose the garlic bread, which arrived golden and buttery, reminiscent of hearty Texas toast, and a supreme pizza topped with an abundance of fresh ingredients that filled the air with a tantalizing aroma. While we stuck to classic menu items this time, I’m eager to return and explore more adventurous dishes to see if Mamma Mia’s truly captures the essence of authentic Italian cuisine.

As a vegan, I want to sincerely thank you for offering a vegan pizza option on your menu. The vegan pepperoni pizza is absolutely delicious. The recipe is great, the texture is excellent, and the crust is outstanding. Right now, this is my number one choice when it comes to vegan pizza. I’m not giving five stars only because I would love to see a vegan dish with a white sauce, something Alfredo-style. I understand that red sauce is usually vegan at many Italian restaurants, but for those of us who are vegan—and in my case, I have few vegan family members—we often crave a creamy white pasta. Unfortunately, most of the time we have to make it at home because it’s rarely available at restaurants. Thank you again for the pizza, and I truly hope you take this review into consideration. 🌱🍕

This place was recommended by a long time Riverside resident after he heard me talking about my all-time favorite Italian restaurant, Grano, in Duarte, California. If it's your first time visiting this restaurant, let them know your first time visitor and they may offer you special selections. Garlic bread and marinara - 100% skip and save your money! $7 for what appears to be for slices of store-bought Texas toast. I'm not saying that's what it is but that's what it looked like and tasted like. It was also kind of soggy. Capellini pomodoro with anchovies - would order again if it'd be possible to have it be less soupy. I don't know, maybe the tomatoes in the sauce made it juicy? Eggplant parmesan - would order again. More expensive than I think a eggplant parm should cost but the portion size was very generous. The flavor was pretty good but the eggplant itself had no solid form or structure. Bread pudding wasn't like to normal bread pudding. Would order again. It was a really buttery bundt cake with a nice scoop of vanilla ice cream.

For the area this is the best Italian food. And compared to the competition the prices are very reasonable. We have been to Momma Mia several times and it is now our go to Italian restaurant when we are in the area. The downside is the location… In my opinion, this is not a great part of town. And the shopping center is very tight feeling and difficult to park. Because of issues we have had in this part of town, we only drive our old car when we visit this location.

I had a half antipasto salad and the meatballs appetizer. The salad was very good as wete the meatballs. The meatballs were very small though and only two for $11. That was disappointing. I also had a couple beers. Got out for $40 plus tip. Pretty pricey.

The Random Visitor

What I thought of as a hole in a wall restaurant turned out to be a nice Italian restaurant that definitely hit my taste buds with every dish. My son picky as he is loved the calzone and the Chicken Marsala I ordered was plate licking good. Definitely will visit again at leisure as this one was a visit when I was trying to grab a quick bite.

A nice restaurant with a small bar and large dining area. Front end service was great but waitress' energy and friendliness was lacking a bit. Front waiting area is somewhat small but they do have benches outside and they do offer complimentary champagne while you wait. They awkwardly have a dining table right next to the waiting to be seated area which makes for a very uncomfortable dining experience. Overall good was great, with a good variety of options and portion sizes were decent for entrees but small for appetizers.

It’s in a rough looking plaza. Free parking. Casual atmosphere. First time trying this place, and we would not return. There’s a lady that takes your photo when you’ve seated and she prints and frames it and asks if you want to buy it. It’s odd to me, but my boyfriend says he’s been to places that do this. I ordered salmon and the waiter gave me a choice of pasta to go with it. He referred to fettuccine as Alfredo. I thought it was odd for them to give fettuccine Alfredo as a side but I chose it. Plain Fettuccine pasta came with my salmon. If I had known it was going to be like that, I would’ve not chosen fettuccine because such a fat noodle doesn’t go with the sauce I’m in my salmon dish. My salmon was kinda hard. My boyfriend got shrimp scampi and the shrimp was rubbery. We left a lot of food. They didn’t ask if we wanted to-go boxes because I think our waiter knew we didn’t like our food. This is more of a casual American Italian restaurant. They sell bar food like mozzarella sticks.
