This was a fantastic place and splendid service. I have had Indian food all over USA and I must say that the service here was none like other. We ordered vegetarian food and it was very tasty. If I would be living in California, I would come here often . The quality was also superb. The owner seemed like a very good person and his staff were soft spoken as well. I would rate this restaurant as one of the best in the States. P.S. We ordered garlic naan, roti, yellow dal, and aloo matar

The food is very good. I used to have to travel all the way to Norwalk to get good food 🇮🇳 now it's a waste of time and money. Not everywhere has that kind of flavor. I love this place.

We LOVE this place! My family and I visit Punjab Palace so often that weve become their regulars. The owner is always there managing the place, which is really nice because it lets me know how much he cares about his restaurant. Their Chicken/Lamb Tikka is tasty but not too creamy, Tandoori Chicken so juicy, Garlic Naan is FRESH and hot, and Biryani; their dishes ALWAYS tastes how it's supposed to :D their staff are great too. They're inviting and incredibly friendly. What's more is this place is affordable and their portion size will fill your tummy! I hope you'll pay them a visit to enjoy their food!!

Me and my mom were super satisfied with this place! We came for their dinner service and it was amazing! We had no idea but they served us mango lassi before our order and then dessert after, we absolutely loved it! And it was a great surprise 🥳 thank you again for your great service and food! 👍💞

Tonight I called in my order at 5pm. The gentleman said it would be ready in 30 minutes. I arrived early so I sat in the car and waited. I went in for my order at 5:30. It wasn't ready. The entrance was full of door dashers. To make a long story short my order wasn't ready until just after 6pm. I was so irritated. But I'm giving this restaurant 5 stars because the food was absolutely amazing. So flavorful! I now understand why they were so busy. Quality & Quantity was perfect. I ordered Goat Curry, Karahi Chicken, Aloo Gobi, Garlic Nan, and 2 orders of samosas. It was definitely worth the wait!

We went there for the first time. Had a lunch buffet on Sunday. They had chicken pakora and spring rolls for buffet which usually is not served as part of buffet in other Indian restaurants. We ordered Tandoori Fish also which was super delicious, it was very tender and flavorful. Everything was super tasty and neatly served. Staff was very friendly and polite.

As of August 2024 the lunch buffet is $17, but it is very good; the quality is off the charts; other buffets do not provide samosas, chaat, or salad as fresh as PP's, while they still have all the standards, AND provide a basket of naan. The remodeling looks very good, and the service was very efficient and kind. I'm happy I gave this place another look, it had been a few years.

Fantastic food. This is a real hidden gem for the quality of their food. The only problem is the service. They're so good, and so in demand, that their service is very subpar. Don't bother trying to call in an order, they regularly ignore the phone or answer and hang up. Ordering to take out can also take a long time. We've sat and waited 20 minutes AFTER the time we were told, only to find that out order was sitting, bagged and ready to go already. Their food IS the best though. It's why we keep coming back. This place could be one if the best restaurants in Riverside if they ramped up their service.

From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with warmth and attentiveness. The staff is incredibly welcoming, and I even saw the owner serving fresh naan. Speaking of naan, it's made fresh and brought to your table throughout your meal. The restaurant is also noticeably clean, adding to the pleasant dining atmosphere. The rice is perfectly cooked, – no overpowering cumin here! As for recommendations, the Chicken Tikka Masala and Shahi Paneer are must-tries. Both dishes are incredibly creamy and bursting with flavor.

You can't beat their lunch special, you just can't. 😍🤘 It's the perfect blend of price, buffet options, and food quality. It's also my go to place if I want to introduce someone to Indian food cause their buffet allows folks to try as many different options without the fear of having to settle with one dish and it's also great when for when you're in a group with different dietary needs like ✔vegans and ✔non vegans

Hands down the best Indian food I have had so far. My family used to frequent a place in Diamond Bar but Punjab Palace is so much better. This is authentic Indian food; no fusions or any substitutes. Service was the best and the owner himself even checked up on our table. We will definitely be back to try out other dishes!

We ran across this place and decided to try it and glad we did. This place is definitely one of our favorite so far. We liked the fact that we were seated right away. Customer service was great. Everyone was friendly and courteous. They checked on us several times to make sure if we needed anything. The place was wasn't as busy, thank goodness, but we did see that they had a lot of to-go orders. The place was nice and relaxing. They had tv screens with music videos for entertainment. What stood out and is the most important was the food! We tried their garlic chicken (if you're a garlic lover, you'll like this) and their bhindi masala (okra). I never liked okra before until I tasted this dish. They gave us a choice and asked how spicy we wanted the food. We don't like hot/ spicy dishes so we asked for mild and it was wonderful. It was mild, but very flavorful. We also tried their gulab jamun dessert (it's like a warm donut in a sweet syrup ). Food was excellent! I can't wait to go back and try other dishes. Update: We came back during lunch and they have a lunch special for $12.95 that has curry chicken, chicken masala, saag paneer (homemade cheese & creamed spinach), garlic naan (it's like a pita bread), and gulab jamun (dessert). All of this for 1 price. Love it.

By far the best Indian food in town. I always get their shahi paneer and it is the best I've ever had. Good portion size, superb flavor. I usually order to go with garlic naan and they've always been kind enough to include a small portion of basmati rice. Pick up is always smooth. They'll also go ahead and click the "no tip" button before swiveling the tablet for you to pay which I think is pretty respectful for to go orders. Either way, would definitely recommend.

Love coming here for my Indian food itch. It's inexpensive ($10.95 AYCE) and tasty. They don't have the biggest lunch selection compared to some Indian restaurants but that's considered a positive in my book. The selection of food they do have are perfected and mastered. Without a doubt, we always order the mango lassi with our meal. Complimentary garlic naan is served with it and it's always piping hot and fresh.

Lunch buffet is available again! All the food was quite delicious. Both vegetarians and non-vegetarians are satisfied. I enjoyed six types of curry (chicken, chicken tikka masala, palak paneer, dal makhani, veg korma, aloo gobi), pakora, tandoor chicken, two types of dessert (carrot and rice pudding), salad and fruit. Served garlic naan was also great. In addition, the ethnic interior improved my appetite. The price was $18.50, which was reasonable for the food quality. I believe that Punjab Palace is the best Indian restaurant in Riverside and would like to revisit.

I ate here with a group during lunch hour to eat the special for $12.95 (plus tax and tip). There was table seating and booth seating. We considered the buffet, but the lunch special is a pretty decent size! Water is at your table in a carafe. The staff was helpful let us know what the lunch special included today - because it does change. Each special was large (and colorful!) served on what was like a tin platter. We had chicken tikka masala, chicken curry, paneer (saag, I believe), rice, and garlic naan. The naan was so hot and fresh, it was almost difficult to hold. Everything was pretty fresh and really rich and creamy tasting. They were mindful of our heat tolerances and sent us plates with mild spice. We asked for the spicier stuff on the side.

We ended up here on a random whim for dinner. We used to come for the lunch buffet but I think that went away after covid. We were the only ones in the restaurant when we first got there, with their TVs blaring their Indian music shows. We ordered the chicken Tikka Masada, the chicken korma, the tandoori garlic shrimp, alongside the cheese filled naan. Everything was delicious and came out quickly. The one thing though is that they never asked us if we wanted to get any beverages and seemed bothered when we asked for to go containers for our leftovers as well as asking for another order of Naan to go as well (it never came). The leftover veggies from the garlic shrimp made delicious egg/breakfast tacos by the way! Definitely recommend the chicken Tikka masala!

A little too bright for decor. Food was bland. We went for a Sunday brunch but I ordered the aloo prantha which was excellent. The buffet dishes were too mild and the servers would take ages to come over or bring the items Very nice owner or manage and price very reasonable!

It’s $18.5 for lunch buffet. Not many varieties overall in the buffet. Would not come again. It didn’t have goat meat nor lamb, no biryani, no pickles, no chai, one sweets variety, etc. For meat lovers, you’ll be very disappointed. The buffet had only two chicken dishes. The two lacked spices and flavor, it was very bland. Very disappointed. On the other hand, vegan dishes were better. Had good spices and flavor. The Naan was very good.

I recently had fish pakora, Aloo Gobi, lentil soup, and Mango Lassi. While the rice was nicely cooked and fluffy, I found the other dishes to be somewhat underwhelming. The fish pakora seemed like it had been prepared in advance and was not crispy, but instead chewy and tough. Some of the skins were too tough to eat. The Aloo Gobi lacked the flavor that I was hoping for, and the lentil soup was overly salty. The Mango Lassi was alright, but it tasted more like it was made from mango juice than real mango. Although I am not an expert in Indian cuisine, I have tried other restaurants in the Riverside area that offer better-tasting food. As a result, I am unlikely to return to this restaurant.

I usually go to the location off Tyler/Magnolia, but I had been to this location once before... Hands down the best Indian food ever. ... I went to this location for the second time today, and I don't know what's going on but everything we ordered was insanely bland. The pilau rice, chicken, and aloo matar all were under salted and generally lacked flavor. Even the garlic naan was bland. I'm hoping this was a fluke, but I'm not as familiar with this location... I also noticed it was a little more expensive than usual, so I'm hoping the management didn't change.

We decided to give this place a try since the reviews where high. It was clean and well lite. The service was not the best we just sat in a booth with the waiter just giving us the menu no info provided as specials or recommendations. He brought us small glasses of water with our soup we asked for our soft drinks and he gave us an attitude mine had something flooding in which the waiter asked me what it was as if i would know. The appetizer of samosa was brought and it was good i recommend them with the green chutney. The garlic naan was delicious as was the rice. The lamb curry was tender, chicken tiki marsala was nice. The desert was nothing interesting. The service overall was not good they seem to have an attitude and would leave us. I would not recommend this place sole on the poor service

I went here to try a different Indian buffet then my usual place and left disappointed. The customer service is HORRIBLE to say the least. As soon as I walked in and got "help" the guy that appeared to be the owner just asked me how many and pointed to a table. When we sat down no one came to ask what we wanted to drink, eat etc. We got up and got a plate, and still no one asked us what we wanted to drink, how we were doing etc. Right at the buffet there was an oddly placed table with a man doing what appeared to be their taxes? Extremely strange to have to walk by a table with someone doing taxes while your trying to dine. The entire time we were there I was the one having to call over what I assumed was the waiter (because no one ever introduced themselves) to get refills, napkins, the check. This place has multiple workers walking around, Uber eats, door dash etc walking past the dinning area to pick up food, have conversations. Just poor customer service. The food was mediocre at best and the garlic Naan was burnt. I'll never come back and don't recommend it.

The food was horrible. The service was terrible. He didn't even greet us. The guy at the restaurant was having an attitude. He was asking us to order even before we are ready. We ordered assorted appetizers, it had a black hardened potatoes. The chicken pakora, the batter smelled really bad. It was rotten as if it was made couple days ago. The Chicken seekh Kabob, the onion was rotten, and so as the chicken. The karahi chicken was uncooked as well as the onion was rotten. What kind of restaurant is this if the guys do not know how to behave with the customer. This place should shutdown.
